It appears that Go Daddy does not care what you think of their service. Leave you high and dry.
They cannot fax to see if it works, yet I pay for service? Not even a response or to help resolve their issue.
Misty Reed says
I totally agree! When I purchased a domain name they made a mistake on it, when I contacted them I was told I’d have to pay full price for another domain name to fix it. SERIOUSLY!!
Arlene Mullin says
Poor form. I have had my fax not working at least 4 times, I deal with patients in crisis. It appears that Go Daddy has failed once again. Patients are receiving that it is not a working fax.
They charge me for the fax, but leave it broken, as it is now my problem, because they cannot fax (no fax machine they claim) and I am left in the cold with a non service fax.
Talked with Manager Tom and he said there is nothing he can do.
I remember the good old days when they would fix what is broken. Not anymore.
I would suggest not using this company. You pay for virus and ssl certification. You get a virus and it will be an additional charge to do it quicker, they have up to 8-12 hrs. You pay for service, but pay more for quicker service.
I have paid for the service and nickle and dimed for everything.
I paid for the service, and they stated I am on my own. No fax and I should be grateful as it is an old service.

My first conversation with your organization was with John today. Unfortunately, he made a change on one of my accounts without asking permission. In addition – I give him a four because he did forward me to a supposed supervisor named John – he called himself “the billing supervisor”. Please see the following for further comments.
This is not Ashley’s fault – infact, I am thankful she got my purchase taken care of today. However, she did not ask my permission to change my ssl certificate from auto renewal before doing it (supposedly) I have not looked yet. These people should always have to ask permission to be able to change something on someone’s account. In addition, I need the SSL certificate – but if the auto renewal is always supposed to be on and a default for your corp – I did not approve the payment to be taken under such cirXXXXstances. I am frustrated as I spoke with a guy named Andrew today – and then was referred to his supervisor John the supposed “billing supervisor” who said that his supervisor was named Chuck and that I would never get through to him <— very poor customer service. This is all in reference to the default auto fault to "renew" and ability of an employee to do so without the customer's permission. I had not as of yet written on https://corporateofficehq.com/go-daddy-corporate-office/ but I will now – while you send these emails out to customers – perhaps you need to resolve customer issues there, also.
Thank you for being open 24 hours.
Sharyn Elander says
I apologize John was the supposed supervisor and Andrew was the first person that changed something on my account today without my permission. Ashley was the second person who changed something on my account today without my permission (both were in the area of AUTO-RENEWALS – no lowly customer service on the phone should be able to change such on someone’s accounts. Period.

Can anyone give me an email address to the director of Godaddy?
and I can only advise to buy other than domain names at godaddy, it’s fake advertising when they recommend wordpress, it’s running so slow that it’s left as you constantly change diskettes and installing wordpress manually you can not , I thought I was having trouble with MVC and Aspen was just a dream. Regarding the world’s best services, what a joke you can not even write to those who will be the best solution for many and get hold of those who do not decide in the company, you can wonder what they are doing since they hide it certainly not to take care of what they are living with.

I bought a Go Daddy store last August. After I spent a month building it, I found I could not accept orders due to a problem with the shopping cart I had signed up for through Stripe. SIX MONTHS went by, until someone finally figured out the problem was the computer commands between GoDaddy and Stripe. They only gave me three months credit.
A month ago, out of nowhere, I got an order. No one told me they fixed it, and I had not even looked at the store to continue building it. May 7th comes and I am STILL being billed for the website builder. According to the Billing Supervisor, they do not issue refunds on monthly payments. Really? I have paid for at least THREE MONTHS for this store, and could not use it. Every time I have called and asked for a supervisor, I never got one, but was promised a call back. Nothing. Until today when i saw another charge on my debit card. They said they cannot even refund that but they do not know why it wasn’t stopped months ago. I hope they read this because i am going to fight this from the end….this is MY money,…..not yours.

I cancelled my website and domain over a year ago, but am still getting an account summery why! I have both tried to sign into my account, reset the password and contact customer service (which I Keep being put on hold for 45 minutes) over the last year with no success. is this what you call good customer service!!

Our account was put on hold and 5 websites are down because we never received an email from Godaddy. As resellers one would think we would get a little better treatment like a phone call before shutting us down. Now the main problem is we are locked out from everything so we cannot comply with the request to delete files since we have no access (No FTP either). We asked the support personnel to delete the files because we have no access. They flat out refused and blamed us for not having FTP access to delete the file. We certainly had access before the account went on hold… The simple solution would have been to delete the files like we requested and restore the account to normal. But the approach that “Customer Service” took was to resend the email (which I requested) then tell me to wait 72 hours for a response from them. Our business is completely shutdown for at least 72 hours when it could have been restored in a few minutes. This is not the way to help. Now I am imagining that the 72 hours do not include weekends, this is ridiculous. BTW, seeing the email, we had deleted the files over a week beforehand because they were not needed anymore (video files). We could not delete the folder because we got the message “access Denied” but did not think anything more of it, the files were gone. We have no access and they want us to fix the issue, what kind of help is this? Please delete the offending files and let us get back to doing business. This leave a bad taste in our mouth for a reseller. Why would we want to submit our clients to this type of treatment.

I could write pages regarding my 3 hours on the phone with a supervisor to find out why my website and email are down. The answer I got was that I had cancelled them. Totally absurd-I just paid them nearly $400 to add security to my site and monitor it which apparently they did not do. They will not refund the money even though they did not do the job I paid them for. I asked to see what they said I sent in to cancel and was told that I needed to contact their legal department, get a lawyer and a supena if I want to see it.
Unbelievable!!! At this point, I feel like I have been scammed and that I am dealing with a dishonest company. They said I cannot change to another company for several weeks.

The worst I’ve been ever scammed. I went on the website to find out some info….I clicked on the text to chat rep. Their name was NOEL….what a slime ball! He kept pushing a 10 year contract…I kept telling him I only wanted a 1 year contract and he kept pushing it. I decided to call in and handle my business…which is what I should have done in the first place. While talking to the live rep…we figured it out and he ran my credit card for the one year price. THEN he said what a minute…did you do anything to your account while we were on the phone? I said no…wasn’t even near my laptop. The NOEL idiot put the 10 year contract in my cart WITHOUT my knowledge…so when the live rep charged me for the one year price ..it added this as well! The live rep had to refund the card and delete the domain name i needed. Now I have to wait 5 frickin days to get the domain name…therefore…marketing, printers, and everything else is on hold because some idiot decided to be sneaky! ridiculous!!!!!!

I just have one of the most incredible business exchanges with the representatives of this company. I don’t wanna offend Car Salesman with the comparative, but speaking with “Robert”, “Mike”, “Martha” and other characters, seem to be just that. A game to put the customers down and to tray and get the most money. And when I say that, I realize how cheap GO DADDY sale its clients.
My domain expired, and they where sure to repeat that to me many times, because of my lack of responsibility. “We send you notices and you did not provide us with a valid email, that’s the bottom line”, one of them told me.
I thought that the bottom line in a relationship with your customer were the customers, nut that might be long time ago.
The point is that I was told by a person that we need to pay “Fees” (car business somebody?) to reinstate the domain that for my lack of responsibility -one more time- was about to loose.
It was $80.00.
I told the person -five days ago- that ill think about and get back. The domains, anyway are getting so old that in the next future might be next to the, Atari, pagers and Fax machines.
Today I called back to get the deal. I talk to a lady, and she acknowledged that there was a 50% discount in the redemption fees that “my lack of responsibility, botton line”, had originated. She wanted to take the money from my card in file, but I told her Ill give another in one hour. She said call back.
When I called back, my nightmare started. The first person, told me that it was ok, but Ill have to pay $95.17 because the fees born from my irresponsibility.
“Are you sure” I asked three times and like Peter, he denied seen anything else in the computer.
“What about the discount”, I asked.
After a few seconds, he said “Oh that”, and I say “Yes, that”.
He said -and I hope like Chief James Comey that there are tapes that some one in GO DADDY that respect its customers will listen- that If I behave he will give me the discount. “Ill see if I can help you”, he said.
“So what’s gonna be”, he asked me.
I dont really fall for that kind of treatment so I told him that he wasnt helping me, that he was doing his job.
The story reapeat itself whe I called back and this person told me that he was talking to the person that talk to me before. “I want to speak with a manager” I almost begged.
No, it seems that you where offer this for the person before me and yo did not taking and now it is more that 45 days so we cannot give you any discount.
I called Corporate, where Im gonna keep calling for a good time, until some one explain to me what kind of treatment GO DADDY gives to its customers, and why?. The told me that they cannot send me with a manager until i go trough the “escalation process:, meaning I have to talk to the enemy again.
I talk to Martha now, and she listen while she reads what Robert and Mike had put in the computer. “Sorry, nothing would it happened if it wasn’t for your negligence in answering our email”.
“My email was broken”, I almost cry.
“Doesn’t matter is your responsibility to provide with a working email address”.
Bu to make the story short the Unbreakable fee (Car business?) would be broken in half IF I BUY A 5 TO 10 YEARS CONTRACT FOR THE DOMAIN!!!!
I been a long time customer of GO DADDY, I know is not a big deal for you guys. But I’m sure it is for someone looking careful at the stocks, or even for Blake Irving or Bob Parsons.
O maybe not?

They charged me $40 to reinstate my website. They said I cancelled it, which I did not.
I believe they do things like this to get customers to pay more money. This is the second time within a few months that my site went down. The last time it cost me nearly $400 to get it back up. I believe they are scamming people.

I own thewildlifeprofessionals.com I have since 2010. Since this time I have grown and flourished as a marketer in the internet wildlife removal business. Now my website is out of date yet still hitting top placement in the searches. They will not update me unless I pay over 3 thousand dollars to do so. and I lose my time in this market, content time, and placement. ” they said I should copy and paste my pages on a new platform.” I have almost 1000 pages. This is not what I had in mind when I joined godaddy! Why should I have to do the work over again just because they decided to make a product and not allow for the upgrade? I am at a loss with this company. I will soon have to rebuild my website. seven years gone. and I am at square one! WHy should I pay for an update? I pay you every month! I even started a bunch of other websites with you. I am good at what I do! I will make sure everyone knows what you did to me and the people that work for me and need this service to provide for their family!

Hi, I am new to creating a website. One thing that I’ve noticed is that I haven’t been able to use any discounts that are emailed on anything that I have purchased; plus they usually come the day after I purchase a product. First I bought the domain names. When I purchased the web hosting, they told me that I get a free domain (but can’t refund what I already a paid for). Next I purchased the privacy, a theme, then an email account, even though it appeared as though it was included in my deluxe package. They wouldn’t use the 40% off from my email (gd7530) because it was already only 20% off…I feel like I keep getting ripped off! It’s a horrible feeling especially after my husband used your services for over a decade. Please remove me from the discount emails, if I can’t use them anyway.

Dealing with GO DADDY has been a complete nightmare! Reps lied to me about web site, they don’t want to be bothered about anything, once they have your money forget about customer service, it took alnost a month to build a website when they said it would take only 7 business days and i supplied them with the layout and copy, all they provided was the design. They made mistakes on my video page and wanted to charge me hours towards my 6 free hours of editing once the site was complete. The mistakes on the video page could have been fixed by them in 10 minutes instead it took 10 days. Now the SEO starts, don’t miss their phone call because if you do you’ll never reach the onboarding team to discuss the SEO. SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY HAVE NONE, YET PEOPLE KEEP USING THEM. a WORD TO THE WISE —– USE SOMEONE ELSE!

Recently my client was told by your staff that she needed an SSL Certificate and that Google will penalize her for not having an encrypted site. He emailed her an article from Motherboard to prove his point. First off – this client of mine does not sell any product nor have a login on her website and she is a very small business. Secondly, there is no mandate from Google or anyone else that she must have HTTPS connections at this time. I believe this is a deceptive practice that your Consultant was promoting and furthermore I have a feeling it is sanctioned by your Management practices, as I have had other clients report that they bought products that were inappropriate for their needs.
This aggressive sales practice by your company absolutely infuriates me. You are in an entrusted position of having experience and knowledge that the everyday consumer does not have and when you deceive these people by selling them products they don’t need – you undermine your credibility. You are forcing me to look elsewhere for my Hosting. Do The Right Thing!

Subject: Re: My GoDaddy Summary – April 2016
To: Office of Chief Counsel for GoDaddy.com
From: Office of Executor for Joseph Michael Rodriguez, Estate.
I requested a refund for receipt # 948237067 – $8.17 and receipt # 944773287 – $12.79.
A full refund totalling $20.96 was refused by supervisor “Ray”. Then after losing my complete cool and having to raise my voice to try and reason with your corporate rules (not laws) the refund for receipt # 948237067 – $8.17 was granted but not the $12.79 for receipt # 944772387?
I understand GoDaddy.com is a $1 billion+ a year corporation that seems to have lost touch with humanity. To keep the $12.79 in light of the fact that it’s been less than 90 days is obscene. I lost my 96 year old father on March 14th 2016 after 11 days of 24/7 home hospice care to brain cancer.
If GoDaddy.com has become so out of touch with humanity that it can’t bend it’s corporate rules and gladly and willingly give a full refund then this is larceny by trick and extortion according to the laws of the land. It’s also felony fraud to compel someone into contract and adminstrate someone’s estate without lawful written authorization from the office of executor for my estate of which GoDaddy.com does not have.
I expect a full refund and that any and all accounts, products and receipts be completely cancelled and removed from GoDaddy.com can afford the FEE for unauthorized adminstration of my estate.
I expect a full refund for $12.79 for receipt # 944773287 be expedited immediately.
govern yourself accordingly,
By: executor. Joseph Michael Rodriguez, Estate.

I bought domains from Go Daddy last year and when renewal time came, I was literally unable to access my account even after calling them at the 480 number. Just now getting back into my account, and NOW to renew my domains I’m going to be forced to pay what they call a ‘redemption’ fee of 19.98 each! Needless to say, I was unaware of this back when the renewal time came around. Beware if you use this company, IN MY OPINION, they blocked my access so I’d have to pay more. I hope I’m wrong and they’ll make this right. I cannot afford these fees as I’m just getting started.
