This message is for your CEO, Martin “Marty” Thompson. I have long enjoyed, as well as bought Ghirardelli chocolates for myself and others, above other chocolates.
I am am VERY disappointed, however, to find out that you decided to include milk now, to your originally vegan chocolate. There is simply no reason to encourage or condone the cruelty and abuse to cows, in order to make your chocolate that has always been delicious as it was, and vegan! Why would you change what was a cruelty free and delicious chocolate? If anything, why not go organic…rather than promote and be a part of cruelty to cows? Please go back to your vegan formula, so I can return to purchase your chocolates…which at this moment I will not do, and will also alert others to these changes. Do the right and ethical thing! To whom it may concern at your top level. I know that Nick Golde supposedly sent you my file but they never write down or consider our side even when we have witnesses. We are called liars. If I do wrong I will always take the blame, that is as it should be. I wish someone from your office would come here in cognito and spend the entire day here to see what workers really have to put up with. We are told only the customers matter not the employees but without your employees you have no business,you or Mickey Rat. Your employees put up with excessive noise while we put in orders,They boil in summer and freeze in winter(that includes your customers too as there are not fans or warmers in fountain cash just bug blowers to give the bugs blow jobs! )People have fainted only ro be put back on registers. Customers have thrown up and fainted as well. We have to employee bathrooms when we get permission, many have soiled or wet themselves because they were told to wait or couldn’t make it to the restroom me included.We get points if we ill and go home early or stay home.This year Vladimy had the flu but wouldn’t
stay home and sneezed on everyone and everything and got everyone, including me very ill. Took me 2 months to get better again. Missed 2 days of work 1 for me 11 for my hubby who i brought the flu home to as well. Recently my car acted up and wouldn’t start I had to leave early so I can go home by bus. Nick got angry at told me he would write me up and give me points because it was unfair to everyone else for me to leave early, When I requested to change my hours from ten or twelve till ten he said no again. The customers can touch us their kids can kick us they can sneeze and spit in our face and we can do nothing.You took away our stools because Robert took a picture of Ocita sleeping on the job she always did and they gave her a stool again because she has a doctors note. But we all think she has something on you all as corporate said she is to be left alone but everyone else got punished.This is why there is such a high turn over . As for my write ups the 2 families that fought and put me in the middle an got 60$ of stuff for free what happened was I told the lady she didn’t have to stand she could have a seat she said she was with the other people i said i’m sorry i didn’t know turned around and the other lady said keep you nose in your register. Then they said i said they were in the way and to move.Nadia asked Emily she told her what happened and she called Emily and I liars.Nadia wrote me up for passing people down to the next register and for asking someone to come closer which we are supposed to do and Nadia said I was rude. Ravon wrote me up for grunting at someone(I hiccuped),for yelling at someone (5 times I told the customer something the said what the 6th time I spoke louder so I yelled at them),this time I touched someones hand(6 times I explain that I had to know exactly what they wanted so i can type it in so they get it like they want as I showed them on the menu I touched their hand),The first time I met Nick I had a lady who was fighting with her daughter over a mint bliss.Turns out she didn’t want one anyway, I said I’m glad I didn’t put it in you would have gotten what you wanted. She got her order and walked out in a yelling at Danny that was rude he ran after her brought her back in and got Nick, he looked at my file and judged me from the very beginning and told me I would be out. The five dollars under or over I am very sorry and did my very best. It is very funny how there are different rules for different fools here,and each supervisor and manager says something different so even when employees do what thy are supposed to the end up being wrong.The good employees are treated badly and constantly threatened.There are many good managers and supervisors but they get lied about and back stabbed. Scott and Todd are very good managers and people, they care about doing what corporate wants but they also care about their employees. They know the employees make the business.Brent,Bree,Ashlee, Chaureess.Vanessa. Luis.Josh are all great.Nick. Ravon and Christina are all unfair and biased if they like you all is ok if not you’re out of luck. We were all told only the customers matter because the pay big money so they can do whatever they want only the money matters so we have to treat them like royalty.That is a heck of a concept they make trouble complain and give everything for free and they’ll come back and do it again. I used to be a manager and made the place I was one of top 3 sellers that year. I am writing from Dubai, UAE.
I presume that this mail could be interesting to the Manager for Innovations at GHIRARDELLI.
I have developed natural crystallized fruit sugar, from dates.
As you may know, date fruit is the richest fruit on the planet, with high content of sugars – glucose and fructose.
To retain all nutritional values of the fruit, no chemicals were used in processing and the sugar mass was subjected to minimal heat.
The sugar will be commercially available in 12 months, at just around 9,000 tons/year.
This sugar is hygroscopic as it is derived from invert sugar but care will taken, to deliver the customers with sugar at around 1% moisture.
We believe it will be ideal sugar for confectionary products like chocolate spreads, snack bars, etc.
Being hygroscopic, it will be natural binder, for end products which need binding.
I am interested to know if your company will be interested to study it’s uses in your future products.
FYI, I have positive response from most of the prospective buyers I approached.
