Your subsidiary First American Home Warranty has been dealing in BAD FAITH with me for weeks. My experience was so bad that I am in the process of filing a “BAD FAITH” complaint with the insurance commissioner not only in my State of Oregon, but also in Arizona, and California. where you have offices and your headquarters. The claim started off badly from the beginning when the first person I talked to asked me if the problem pump was a well pump. I told her that I do not have a well and I am connected to the City of Depoe Bay Water District. She chose to write in her report that it was a well pump. It went a little better when I talked to a supervisor, and explained exactly what it was, and he apparently knew what I was talking about, and on 8-12 he sent me am e-mail to get my own plumber because he could not find one of your sources that covered the item in my area. When my plumber got a finally got a hold of your representative, and told him how much the cost was going to be, it went straight down hill. On several occasions I talked to one of your representatives, and that is when the outright lies started. I was told by your representatives on multiple times that “my plumber told them it was a well pump” My plumber told me he never said that and that he told them I was connected to the City of Depoe Bay water supply. Your representative told me “he never said anything about the City water”. An absolute lie. It kept on going the same with everyone i talked to at your company, telling me that I said it was a well pump. I was screaming on the phone that it was NOT A WELL PUMP, I DO NOT HAVE A WELL< AND I AM CONNECTED THE DEPOE BAY WATER SYSTEM" When the finally realized it was not a well pup, they told me it was a water conditioner pump, NOT COVERED. It is not that either. It is a pump that regulates and increase my water pressure in my home, sincce i am on the top of a hill that the City water has only approximately 15-22 lbs of pressure. Then I was told, which was correct, it was a booster pump, and booster pumps were not covered. How ever under plumbing you cover whirlpool pumps, which when you look to buy one on line, they are booster pumps. Also another booster pumps that is covered are in the pool section under the pool cleaning devises. after every thing is said, I am sitting here in my home that does not have enough pressure to Shower for more than 2 minutes, to use my clothes washes, or to fill any one of my Jacuzzi tubs (3), and use the booster pump to pump water around. NOT THE FACT REMAINS THAT YOUR PEOPLE LIED TO ME AS TO WHAT MY PLUMBER SAID ON FOUR OCCASIONS, THEY MISREPRESENTED THE TYPE OF PUMP FOR THE WORK "GO". THAT IS BAD FAITH DEALINGS BY THE DEFINITION OF "BAD FAITH".

It sounds like the insurance company. I am in the process of get the motor for the filter for my pool pump replaced because California change it to a 2 speed motor. They are telling me that I would have to pay $350 for a controller MOD, $55 for wiring MOD and $180 for labor. They are saying that in my coverage the labor is 100% covered; however, they said because the contractor said he needs to do extra labor for the controller MOD and wiring MOD that I have to pay for the labor for that. That is just ridiculous. I bought insurance to cover my pool and spa and it said motor pumps are covered 100%. Now they are saying because of the altercations that it is not covered. These insurance company are terrible. I would totally back you up on your suit with them.

Worst Home Warranty ever!!! I have two others and they always had someone to the house within 24 hours. If I didn’t like one person, they sent another within the same day. I called on July 19th about a dryer that was not working. It was in the evening. I was told that someone would check and call me back that evening. Did not call. I called the next morning and the only company in the Naples Florida area that you had was Sears and could not get an appointment for two weeks. So for the next two weeks I was suppose to drag wet, heavy laundry to a laundromat, which is not cheap, for two weeks. So we hired someone that can that day and said it was dead. So we paid for that and a new dryer. Why do I have a Home Warranty?
Next it was the A/C unit. We are in Florida. It’s July and very hot. The only company you had was in Cape Coral which is two counties up from ours and they called and said they had a full schedule and did not know when they could get to us. So we called three companies, all if which could be here today. One of them is now fixing the unit and again, we will pay for us ourselves. It seems in the Naples/Ft.Myers area you only have one company for all the different repairs that are needed. Why do I have a Home Warranty?
Seriously, WHY? It was a gift from our realtor when we bought the house. We have contacted him and will be contacting all the other realtors we know in the area and advise them NOT to offer yours as a gift. I can give them names of others that are indeed true Home Warranty companies. We give all Home Warranty companies a bad name. That why everyone keeps telling me they are a scam. This one sure is.
