Im a contractor. I dont use Erie Insurance and I never will. Ive seen how they treat claims. I sent Robert Brodie supplemental estimates all the time. He neither returns calls or emails. So then when a homeowner calls him, and actually manages to get a hold of him. He lies, tells them Ive not contacted him nor sent him a supplemental request. Adjusters who lie to their insured are the worst.
Erie, who will do nothing about him taking months to complete something that could be completed in a day, week at the most. I understand he may be busy. But thats no excuse for not returning calls, or ignoring claims. That is unacceptable.
Although, I doubt is Head Quarters cares. I doubt if his Supervisor Stanley Geho cares. As that where they direct me, and he doesnt ever call me back either.
So if youre looking for a good carrier. Avoid Erie.

I spoke will Brown 05/14/2020 letting him know my concerns about my claim. The Fort Wayne Office issued a check for $9800.00 on 3/31/2021 which I have not seen or signed off on because the work has not been completed on my home. The local Agent in Fort Wayne , Ryan Stienbeck, has been of no help. Neither has Gwen , who is his supervisor. A check for $9800.00 was issue on 02/03/2021 and then voided, then reissued on 03/3102021. Why? Where is the check? Why can’t I get copy of check that was issued? How can you close a claim and the work is not completed?
Mr Brown gave me a number to Christy Musselman, who is supposed to be over Ryan & Gwen. I left a detailed message about my concerns about my claim. and my phone number.

Was in an accident with an Erie insurance customer and the accident was put in her fault for not yielding to the right of way. I’ve tried contacting the manager for a dimensioned value claim now that I’ve traded in my vehicle since I now owed more than what my car was worth.. manager told me he need proof doXXXXents and I sent them in with ONE HOUR, now he tells me he’s too busy to discuss my claim and I call EVERYDAY. This is business too, and I’m disappointed in how this situation has been handled. Please contact me 240-626-XXXXX

I had water damage claim on 2/12/18. Adjuster Manual William Cruz came with the Trinity Roof Inspector to check roof and took pictures inside the building. My claim was denied based on wear and tear and deterioration or depreciation. Legally and morally job of adjuster to be honest and impartial. Unfortunately the inspector both went on the roof and took the picture of my neighbor’s roof and denied my claim. It is not fair and legit. I like to know why claim was denied and I need re inspect roof and claim be paid accordingly. Adjuster should have declaration page and policy detail and he should not be on the roof with roofing inspector. My claim # A00000805826 and policy #Q97-1491922. later on I will get legal advice. My telephone # 252 430 7XXXXX, please call thank you.

After nearly 27 years I am leaving Erie (and my agent) and taking 3 policies with me: my auto, homeowners and umbrella. I just contacted customer service as a last resort to tell them this and was transferred around into voice mail system.
