What a role model manager you have in Scott at the Bella Vista, AR location. At the end of a ruff hot day about 7pm on 7-26-21 I nd stopped by your DQ to pick up some chicken strips and fries for my daughter and I, but when arrived home I noticed my order was short of chicken strips, upset, tired and hungry I drove back and told Scott that I did not get what I paid for, I was rather stern with young Scott and matter of fact talked to him as if he was one of my employees of the four stores I manage. Scott never lost his cool but rather rectified the situation in a calm, cool, pleasant, pleasing manor, exactly the way I would like my employees to treat our customers. Scott’s professionalism and positive mental attitude is the kind of role model managers we all wish we had working for us. Congratulations on Scott being nominated as the manager of your Bella Vista, location, especially in such a time when its so difficult to find people who want to work!

The Dairy Queen on 6700 Bridge Street Fort Worth Texas 76119
Is VERY disrespectful and has unprofessional staff and management , discriminatory towards people with disabilities they are especially rude to their customers through drive thru and on front counter .
When they make their orders they are always incorrect and not fresh thus wasting the customers time and effort .
The inside of their store is never clean or sanitized they are in serious violations of OSHA and The City Of Fort Worth Health Code Compliance .
They have a serious insect infestation that is dangerous to the customers the insects have infested one of the soda machines completely and the insects have made their way to the chill area .
The staff do not need more training they need to all be fired including the management staff they have known about these issues for a long time and have done completely nothing to resolve the issues .

I am an employee at Dairy Queen in Atoka 11542 Highway 51 S Atoka, TN 38004. The managers there show a lot of favoritism toward the african Americans their if the make a mistake and mess up a order it’s fine but god forbid all of us white folks mess up and a order and they think the world is ending and flip crap and talk bad about us and make everyone else not like us bc there constantly talking bad about us putting nasty taste in people’s mouth… I think the corporate should really consider doing something about this situation bc its making a lot of great workers leave bc there constantly talking bad about us. Please and thank you!!

I’m calling concerning the Dairy Queen in Red Oak, Tx. Tonight my husband went to Dairy Queen for our dinner. I looked up the menu on the internet and told him I wanted the crispy chicken sandwich. It looked delicious in the picture. Unfortunately when he got home with it, it looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture! It had NO mayo, NO lettuce, NO tomatos!! It DID Have a pickle! Needless to say, I wasn’t happy, so, I called the store and Meghan, the “manager” who I’m sure is probably high school age told me, “oh, we don’t put that on it!” I told her it showed on the website that you do and she told me it didn’t, that is until I’m SURE she looked it up on her phone. Then the response was “well, we don’t put that on it here.” Really??? So I suggested to her that since they don’t put that on the sandwiches at THEIR location, maybe it would be nice if they ASKED the customer, “would you like lettuce and tomato on your sandwich? Even mayonnaise?” Of course I got no response to that suggestion. Too much work I guess! Why did I think ALL Dairy Queen’s should put the same ingredients on their sandwiches? Most franchises require that their franchise owners comply with what is on the website or so I thought. When I told her that, she quickly decided it was time to say goodbye. She DID take my name and said I could bring the sandwich back so I could SHOW her that the food was as I described even though she told me they don’t put anything but pickles on the crispy chicken sandwich and they would fix it! Why would I call and complain if it were fixed the way it showed on the website? No thanks, since I didn’t want my husbands food to get cold while he did that. Perhaps some training is in order? And, to make matters worse, my fries were cold as well and I told her that too. Again, she didn’t seem too interested. I ended up throwing all my food away, yes, it WAS that bad! I will not go back! I will admit I used the word “Hell” with her because I felt like she was so disinterested in my complaint and customer good customer service and she told me not to cuss. Maybe you should also contact the franchise owner so he knows what is going on at his store. I doubt I will hear anything back from you on this, but, thought I should call and let you know that this particular store NEEDS HELP! I did call, but, you were closed, so, decided to email! My background includes Customer Service Supervisor at a multi billion dollar bank. Good Customer Service is so important in this day and time since there are so many different choices in fast food.

Location Hwy87 Cameron NC. This location is a joke from not having chocolate ice cream to not having vanilla ice cream TO NOT HAVING ANY ICE CREAM.
To having ice cream that tastes like frozen milk and then when I let them know the “manager” barely 18 if she was yelling at me that I was rude for asking for my money back. Both cones they made me were given back and put in the trash my an employee. The manager continue to point out how rude and difficult I was to the next customer in line. This location is always out of bananas ice cream etc. today I tried going thru the drive thru because I had my pets with me after 10minutes of waiting I got out of line and drove by the window. Not much happening. I noticed that the car in front had moved to the pick up window. So dummy me tries the drive in again. This time being told to wait a minute. Needless to say after another 10minutes with nothing I left. Please please please offer another location the chance to run a decent DAIRY QUEEN. And close this one for good. Of course if another one opened close to this, this location would close it doors with in a month if it takes that long

My name is Terry Pimm. I know that this want get to who it needs to get to. So I’m not holding my breath. I lost my job make good money about $200 a day as a welder. But my passion is cooking and I always want to work for DQ. For as long as I can remember I have always eaten there and love the food. I have applied with this corporation or even own my own store. I have been out of a job now for at least 2 years and still nothing. I have put in an application with the store in Pasadena Tx on Spencer Hwy three different and had an interview and was lied to all three times. I’m saddened for this because I truly love this place and wish things would have been better but they are not. I will most likely will never be going back the the your restaurant any more. All I want to do is work but now going on 3 years and still nothing. But like I said this will not get to the people I truly wish it would get to. You had them at half gallon price BUT just got told today that they got new registers and now said corporate won’t let them put anything different on registers. That is in GRAND RAPIDS MINNESOTA 55744. So I’m telling you we won’t be going there anymore. So you have lost our business. We use to take our grandkids there for a treat but guess not anymore WELL UNLESS YOU CHANGE IT AND THE HALF GALLON PRICES BACK. Use to be fairly cheap but just got told they are $3.99 per quart. I am somewhat upset by how I was treated at the DQ in Grove City, OH about 10:25p March 15, 2019. My husband and I went there to eat and as we were getting to leave, I was waiting by the door for my husband who had gone to the restroom, I guess the crew leader, assistant manger, or whatever his status is/was, came out and made some kind of comment about us or me, to which the other worker, a female, laughed and looked over at me. The guy who made the comment turned around put his finger and thumb at the corners of his mouth walked out and quickly returned to the front of the store. I can imagine what was said although I did not hear it, something like, “did those old people leave yet?” This person had on a blue shirt with a beard and mustache. I do not appreciate his attitude and what he said about us at all. I sincerely hope is disciplined as well as the young lady who laughed at the comment.

I also noticed that the where the customer gets their drinks by the drink station was completely filthy and sticky as well as the floor in Dairy Queen was also extremely sticky even making a sound of stickiness this is a very bad Health fast food Dairy Queen as I would think Dairy Queen would have better standards I need you guys to come in and have a very good look at how this Dairy Queen is performed.
Thank you for your time

If this is how you plan treat a customer that’s eaten at your stores since I was a young boy and now in my mid 60’s, I feel its time to encourage the masses to DRIVE by to another location that appreciates all of its customers.
Consider me a lost forever customer! And everybody I can show the light.

All I’ve seen on here is complaints!
When we are ordering food we get the idea that we r better than the person taking our order!
I’ve always, always been pleased with the service we’ve always received at DQ!
Besides,we don’t know what an employee is going through and yes they are supposed to do the job right! How can a young teen do the job right when they just left a broken home that day and their world is falling apart?!?
Sometimes we need to be more curtious to the young employees a break!
I’m not sorry for my post,I’m soyfor the adults on here, running the younger employees,in to the ground!!
Thank you DQ employees for always being kind to me and my family!!

Hi my name is Marie and I live in West Point, KY and me and my granddaughter regularly visit the dairy Queen in muldraugh KY. We went in yesterday on Sept. 6 about lunch to get some ice cream, anyway there was a little line and a little girl asked the manager to remake her sundae because she wanted chocolate well the manager snatched it from her rolled her eyes and mumbled something, we were next in line and my granddaughter just asked to leave. I found that your manager isn’t very professional and is very rude. Not only was she rude to her customers she also was to her crew. We will never eat there again and I should think that a company as big as DQ would have more professional managers. I am very angry about this and hope to think somebody will correct the situation.

So here’s my story for tonight! I’m in the process of moving. I have a leg injury which makes this quite a bit difficult. Now… I was packing ALL DAY. I’m so tired I can hardly stand. Some friends came over and took some stuff to the new place. On the way back, I was asked if I wanted something to eat, as they were stopping at Dairy Queen in Enterprise. I said yes. I’m starving, hadn’t eaten since 10am and that was just a bite. Gave them my order. I live 5 minutes from this store. They arrived probably 15 minutes after they called and note that when they called me they had not yet arrived at the restaurant. The food was dropped off and my friends quickly left. It was getting late and everyone was tired. Note also, this was about 9:30 pm. I immediately dug into my food which consisted of two burgers and some Fry’s. NASTY, NASTY, NASTY.. OMG, NASTY!… There was NO heat to the frys. Barely warm at most. The burgers weren’t as ordered, but not being there, I couldn’t swear they were correctly ordered. No ketchup, extra onions, add mustard. I got no ketchup, no onions, with cold meat and cold buns. OK so the condiments weren’t correct, but the food was cold… Repeat…not warm… Not warm… Not even warm. COLD COLD COLD. Soooo. I call, and I PROMISE, VERY nicely explain what I received. First Question: do you have your receipt? No ma’am, I wasn’t the one that purchased the food, it was dropped off to me because I can’t drive right now. SORRY, NOTHING WE CAN DO WITHOUT A RECEIPT!. OK, I understand that, can I speak to your manager? We don’t have a manager. Really, your District Managers number then please!… We don’t gave one of those either. We have an owner, he will be here Friday. OK, I have a leg injury, I can’t drive. Can I get. His contact information please? I’m sorry we can’t give that out. So how do you deal with customer complaints??? I’m sorry we can’t give yoythat information. What! That bullXXXXX! You are a franchise, you are required to give that information. I’m hanging up now, you cursed at me… Click….. Call back… 8 times before answer. I’m not cursing at you, could you please give me your name? No! So how am I suppose to identify the person I contacted with my complaint when I talk to the owner? Sorry sir I’m not giving you my name over the phone I’m hanging up now because we’re closed. It’s 9:45, you don’t close until 10. Sorry, we’re closed… Click… OK… FINE… YOU CAN BE THE THUNDER… BUT I PROMISE… I’M THE LIGHTENING!!!! LETS SEE WHAT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAYS ABOUT SERVING COLD BEEF (YOU KNOW, THE BEEF THAT GROWS DEADLY BACTERIA AT AN AMAZING RATE OF SPEED AS IT COOLS BELOW 140 ). OH, AND BTW, SINCE THERE WAS NO MANAGER AVAILABLE, WHO WAS THE SERVSAFE CERTIFIED PERSON THAT BY STATE REQUIREMENTS WAS ON DUTY? YOU KNOW, THE PERSON THAT IS SUPPOSED TO INSURE FOOD IS SERVED SAFELY.!!! Just a heads up, don’t expect to eat at Dairy Queen Enterprise within the next few days… And just think what a little customer service could have accomplished! Sorry for the rant, but I’m pissed beyond pissed. I’m so pissed, that if pissed could get pissed, I’d piss pissed off!…its bad enough to get bad food, but to not even have an allowable outlet to make an attempt to fix the issue is absolutely ridiculous! I guess having been in the business for so long I tend to take this type of treatment a bit personal. But really, doesn’t the customer, who pays your check deserving of better quality food and service???

We went to the dq in Arlington Heights, Illinois for a few blizzards. The male behind the counter did not turn our blizzards upside down when giving it to us. I mentioned their free blizzard promotion that was all over the media if he doesnt turn our blizzards upside down upon serving them to us. He stated he wasnt required to flip them since we had toppings. I had cheesecake. All blizzards have toppings, otherwise, its a shake! I called corporate who told me they would call me in 48 hours. 10 days later… no call. I called customer relations and informed them of what was said and how our blizzards were melting by the time we reached our car. They said… ” it’s only at participating stores and even they dont have to turn them over since they have toppings.” This place is a scam.

Visited the DQ in Estes Park, CO on July 3rd while on vacation from Canada. Ordered two vanilla cones and thought they looked weird from the get go. The outside texture didn’t have an ice cream/milk look and there were small air bubbles all through the swirl. After my cousin and I had a few tastes of our cones, we determined they were nasty and tossed them in the nearest trash can and went elsewhere for a real ice cream cone. Not sure what the concoction this DQ tries to pass off as ice milk/cream or it was a bad batch they mixed, but it tasted very much like a whipped edible oil product. Head office should really do a quality control check at this location. Customer service training should also be a priority, at least the servers could look interested in what they are doing, even if they aren’t. Generally love DQ cones but we both agreed these were the worst ever.

I visited the Reedsport, OR location today & ordered the new A-1 burger meal deal. I went through the drive thru window & when pulled up to the window the guy who was working the window was not there. No one helped me, or talked to me while I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes. (I’m assuming the man at the window who took my order was on a break due to the time frame he was gone) There was 2 girls in the front laughing and messing around & fanning themselves like it was hot in there. Once I got to my destination with my food I noticed my sundae was 1/2 the size it normally is. Ok no biggy… Then when I opened my burger I realized it was not the A-1 burger that I had ordered. I called the office and after 3 minutes of the phone ringing a girl by the name of Kila answered. I asked for a manager & she said it was going to be a few minutes then hung up on me. 5 minutes later I called back & Kila again answered the line & said only a supervisor was there and that they were busy could I call back later. I told her I’d wait. Kila then in an extremely rude obnoxious way told me I had to call back because they were busy, then disconnected the call a second time.
I’m flabbergasted of my treatment there today. By far the WORST customer service!

Dear Sirs,
Just to let you know! I go to various dairy queens. The biggest rip off is the one on West Boylston St. in Worcester Ma. or it may be West Boylston MA. its right on the line. They no longer flip the blizzard it is hollowed out with air pockets hardly mixed because that would fill those pockets and even at that they are not filling the cups. The cones are slimmed down and hollowed within twist twist not reaching the size I have been use to getting from this fine product….actually they are putting in a lot of effort to deceive and cheat the public…. height is off as well. Guess what they cannot fool people long and that cant ever fool me. I went on a few occasions to establish it was not an isolated mistake, same repeated several times. I talked to the manager and he, reluctantly added a small amount to the top a tablespoon maybe. That was the last time I went to dairy queen. Quantity of product and quality varies from shop to shop but the worst is Worcester followed by Spencer which taste different watery and smaller after makeover.
Salisbury MA. under new management is now an example of how its done. Please tell me that it is not cooperate changing these treats and training these people to do this. Or changing the ice cream formula. I do not believe this to be so but if it is the people will catch on and the demise of this great institution that I’ve enjoyed for my lifetime will eventually end. The public will only get cheated for so long we are not stupid…Thanks for you time to read this.
Sincerely,
Mr. Alfred R. Chaput

So I quit when I got back, and a couple days later the new manager , Andrew, he begged me to come back, and so I did. The owner accused me of stealing over 600$ which I never did, the new manager is telling everyone what I supposedly did, and I don’t appreciate someone like that. And it’s sad when the workers at Dairy Queen tell me he is still talking about me and I haven’t worked there in 2 weeks. I will never point someone to go to this Dairy Queen again.

My daughter and myself decided to patronize the DQ on Taylor Rd in Montgomery, AL around 4pm on April 9, 2017. Apparently we went during shift change. As we walked in, we were NOT greeted and stood at the register for SEVERAL minutes while employees continued to talk about there “outside of work” activities and leisurely punch in for their shifts….finally after being rudely ignored, we were helped and placed our to-go order and left the establishment. While attempting to exit the parking lot………we were almost hit by a young Indian man driving a white mercedes benz…..he tore through the parking lot with total disregard for our lives. After hastily parking his vehicle, he exited the vehicle donning a DQ uniform….apparently, he was late. If this is how DQ employees treat the ppl who support their checks, maybe I will go to California Yogurt Craze around the corner. Such a shame, cause we like DQ. Customer service is NOT an option in a job like this, it is a requirement….as a former food service manager, I understand this….maybe your employees should to.

I sent this e-mail to DQ this morning after hearing of the franchise owner in Illinois losing his franchise after a supposed “racist rant.” This is a bigger issue than DQ, and DQ should have taken this time to educate, not punish. You failed miserably, DQ. My letter to corporate office is as follows:
“Hello, Just read the story on Illinois DQ franchise owner and his “racist” rant. I do not think either party was correct and since you were not there, neither do y’all. This is definitely a different day and age as far as awareness, but DQ should be in a mode of ENLIGHTENMENT; your company should not be catering to an ATTITUDE OF ENTITLEMENT. Blacks, whites, whatever nationality, are not going to learn to live together if there are companies such as yours who are unwilling to teach new attitudes. You have bowed down to that Age of Entitlement and because you chose to take such a drastic point of view, you have lost this person’s business permanently. Or at least until you begin educating managers, etc. on the finer points of racial kindness. It really aggravates me that suddenly, this world has turned their microscope against yet another group of people…namely, people who are not equipped to deal with “our new enlightened age.” DQ, you had an opportunity to be an instrument of change; instead you decided to discriminate against your own management, denying him the opportunity to express himself without that new label of “hate speech” being leveled against him. Shame on you, DQ.”
Thank you.

Upon receiving my food went to the table with co-workers. I looked at my tray sitting there was the hot dogs, coke, and a big bag contains 7 onion rings. I paid $2.39 for 7 onion rings 5 small ones and 2 med ones. I started to go up to counter and ask the DQ employees bout it however my co-workers didn’t want me to cause a scene. So I will not ever ever I mean ever patronize DQ again. To think DQ is a bug comany I guess this is how yall got where yall are.

Just went thur the drive thur window, after pulling up. The girl ask us to pull up and we had no one behind us so that way we could stop the clock on the serving time. I explain there no one behind us and I was fine there. As a owner of a business myself if I new my employees were trying to cheat the system I spent money on to make them better, I be upset. So she starting to help us and refuse to say thank you or anything and then give us our order. Her name is Martha, that was here name on the ticket, my ticket number was 505960. order number was 0437. So we left very unhappy then we notice on purpose the person shorting my son steakfinger basket and made my order complete wrong. So we went back and the manger refuse to wait on us and come to the window. Both need to be fired. After to someone else who did not know what they were doing. She try the same thing pull foward to cheat here boss. The first lade would not face us and keep making dirty looks at us. and after making all the customer behinds wait for over 15 minutes they final give us our food and miss it up again. The group of people are just a worthless crew to steal from there boss and cheat them and better it steal from the custom by shorting food to a customer. What funny I live in the same town and go there every week. I would not wont thefts or let thefts work there and that what this crew is. If you feeling like eating with thefts be sure and stop by.

The Dairy Queen in Salem, Indiana at 1317 South Jackson Street, Salem, IN 47167 is nothing more than a joke of an outfit. From being mismanaged from the top 2 managers to being dirty inside, they should come in and clean up this nasty looking outfit. The last time I was in there to get a gravy biscuit breakfast and sausage I might as well had cooked it myself at home. How do you run a business that it takes 15 minutes to get a breakfast when there was hardly no more than 3 or 4 customers in the store. Not to mention it looked like their air conditioning was out of service again and it was hot and stuffy in the store. Then when I asked to get something, it was like I was bothering them. So I talked to a manager and of course got the same type of attitude. Seems like they need new managers and get rid of the ones that have been occupying the place for way too long

This isthe second time I have been in dairy queen in macon georgia on gray highway and I order a large vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles and the cone looks like a small and half of the cone is empty. You are charging 3.66 with sprinkles that are dotTed on the ice cream like strategicly placed. That is crazy. Dairy use to remind me of my grandmother but I will keep the memories and never go to dairy queen again. That’s a ripoff. They staff is rude and now the ice cream is a joke. I will never step foot in one of your franchise again.

This is concerning the Dairy Queen in Eden, Texas 76837. We have been waiting in the drive thru line so long in the past few months that we’ve tried calling it in ahead. Tonight, I made 46 calls to our DQ in about 30 min. time and got a busy signal every time. My husband was already on his way to pick it up and I could never get through to even place the order. Service is so slow when you eat inside that we had to quit that too. Our town has only a few restaurants, most of which aren’t open on Sundays and some are not open at night and the Dairy Queen is our only choice to eat out. We have slow service when there isn’t a line in the drive thru and no one inside the restaurant. We like Dairy Queen and stop there many times when we are traveling and on the road. We have always been pleased. I have no idea who is managing the DQ here now and don’t know how to contact them to make the complaint. I would be glad to if you could send me a contact person to call. I am very displeased with the DQ here in Eden. We eat there at least once a week but won’t continue with the service like it is now. Thank you for listening and for helping out if you can.

Hello I went to DQ in Ashland,KY on 13th st. I was never so shocked to hear a manager so rude to MY child. I am a regular customer there and tonight may change my mind. I have a 5yr old with some issues she can”t help and I had control of her and like most kids she started thru were they order which I gotton her and the manager shoved a trash can in front of her raised her voice an said hey don”t do that again you hear me in a harsh tone. I told her don”t yell at my daughter like that. Not all kids listen especially when the have a handycap. I told her I would be contacting you so she said sorry but she knew I was very upset and was contacting you. No way for a manager to act. My daughter started tearing up and I told her it was ok i was gonna take care of it. I do expect a reply. If this is how they can treat customers kids it won’t be good for your business and i can get ice cream somewhere else. You may contact me by phone or email . Thank You

Burlington, Kansas Dairy Queen needs a supervisor. Current owners will not repair the cooking area air conditioner so they keep the dining area at 70degrees. Much too cold. Customers have asked the help to up the temperature but are afraid they will get in trouble, serving sizes vary from on employee to the next. A very stressful experience . Other than Sonic we have no other choice for fast food. Needs inspection. And men’s stool lid has been broken for several weeks. Must have new owners who do not want to pay for repairs. Norma

We’ve been going to the Dairy Queen in East Palestine Ohio for years… always a good experience with service and food… but its been awhile since our last visit.
Tonight was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Not only was my bill overcharged, but my sandwich was made wrong. I had to take it back up 2 times because it still had mayo on it after the first time. The manager was then making rude/nasty remarks about me returning the sandwich AGAIN loud enough that I could hear her at the counter! She then questioned me as to why I brought the sandwich up again, when you could clearly see mayo on the lettuce and tomato after I had already taken it up once. I watched as the manager put my chicken in the microwave and then gave it back to me… then lied to my face afterwards about it being a fresh sandwich… along with the now ice cold onion rings! I asked for fresh hot onion rings and was met with yet again a rude disrespectful comment from her. So finally after 20 mins and the rest of my family being done eating, I had a luke warm microwaved chicken sandwich, fresh onion rings (after arguing) and an overcharged bill… RIDICULOUS!!
I don’t know what happened to the staff that normally work there (because they were great), but the staff tonight were clueless and the manager was very unprofessional and rude!

On my visit to the new Dairy Queen in Fayetteville TN (5/30/16 at 3:45 pm) I observed the following, When we walked in all the children behind the counter were laughing and playing, no one was in line. There was a box behind the counter in plan sight in which an employee had climbed inside and was hiding from the manager, the other five kids in the store were laughing and standing around. When our order was finally taken the boy emerged from the box and more laughter ensued. We finally completed our order for a couple of blizzards and a smoothie as went to be seated, the mayhem continued to the point it was hard to carry on a conversation, After watching five groups of people come in, order and get their food brought to them, 30 minutes later we went to the counter to observe an employee slapping the manager on the butt. We inquired if it was our order in the window melting, at which point we were greeted with a SORRY! (with attitude). the young girl turned the blizzards upside down only to have them spill all over the counter. Instead of making new ones she wiped the cup and said here. We returned to our seat irritated and annoyed. We sat and watched the kids play, laugh to the point we requested to see a manager. Trying to be professional we requested the manager step to the side out of earshot of the other customers only to have the young girl behind the counter remark ” They probably want to complain about me!”. After discussing the events with the manager it was apparent she only wanted to get us out the door and appease us. This is not the first time we have encountered problems, the last time the manager left the store for 25 minutes to get bananas for a banana spilt without anyone’s knowledge, leaving us to wait for 40 minutes. The level of professionalism is certainly lacking. If I were the owner I would send people in to find out what the service is truly like and correct the problem. Dairy Queen was in Fayetteville before and ended up closing due to poor service. Please correct the problems, we enjoy patronizing your establishment but refuse to accept sub par food or service. Thank you Curt

We visited our local DQ in Mauriceville Texas and like we have done many times before we ordered 2 banana splits. When we first entered we were the only ones ordering anything. We paid for our order and then went to sit down waiting for them to bring our ice cream to us. After waiting 20 minutes and other people who came in after us getting their orders we decided it was time to go home. We got up and my husband went to ask for our money back and at that time they brought out 2 banana splits that have been sitting there all that time. Needless to say we are not happy with our local DQ and something needs to be done. All they had tonight was kids working and it is a good thing these kids are trying to better themselves but they needed a mature manager in there with them.
Our DQ has been going down hill for a while now.

I stopped at the on Cave Creek Rd in PhoenixAZ 85022. Ordered the $2 small frappe on the sign (Friday 5/20 at 4:00). The girl said something about good till the 25th, I said ok, it’s the 20th , a weekday before 5, then she says it doesn’t start until the 25th and I can talk to the manager. The manager was standing 3 feet away and ignoring us. Nowhere on the sign was there a date! If the sale didn’t start for 5 days why was the sign up? This isn’t the first time there has been a problem there. I will never stop there again!

I went to Dairy Queen on Cactus and Decatur In Las Vegas, Nv today around 1:30pm to get a large strawberry watermelon smoothie. I was stuck in drive thru until 1:55pm and had 5 minutes to get to work, which is a 10 minute drive. As I got to the window I had asked what was the hold up and the young girl said there was only 2 people working. She handed me my smoothie and it was HALF WAY FULL! I had no time to go back in because I was already running late from being stuck in drive thru for over 20 minutes. When I went onto my break around 5pm, I called and talked to the manager who had an attitude and told me there was no corporate office and refused to give me the phone number. I am a regular customer and highly unsatisfied with how I was treated today. This location gives DQ a bad reputation and I will not be returning. Not to mention, the WORST drive thru experience I have ever encountered. Make sure you hire enough people so drive thru does not have to wait 25 minutes for a smoothie!

Tuesday afternoon, May10, my wife and I had occasion to stop at the DQ located near the intersection of Eastern and Horizon Ridge Pkwy in Henderson, NV. I don’t like the store but it was close. We have trouble with the blizzards coming from here. They don’t turn them over and the excuse is that the custard is soupy. I wrote a letter and……nothing. This time, we ordered, sat at a table, waited, the lady put the two blizzards ($10.11) on the counter. They had lids on them. I went to pick them up and asked how they could turn them over with lids on. The answer was a smirk and I said pretty slick. They won’t fall out with the lid on. Of course, all the signs say “upsidedown or it’s free.” Words mean things.

Recently I went to visit the dq at petersburg il with my two children. There was a tall lady with dark hair I believe her name was Cassie. She must have been having a very bad day. All I heard was vulgar language and racist words coming from this individual. The young man waiting on me apologized for her actions saying she was a manager and that she was upset. I could care less what she was upset about. I should never hear comments like this while.in a place where we came to have a refreshment after a long afternoon. My children just stated at her while she was delivering food to tables..I was very uncomfortable and I could see other patrons were to. A younger woman who was working told her to shut up…she was making ice cream. The manager told her to shut up back and get to work..very unprofessional..I won’t be back

Have gone into the store for 10+ years and never once had a problem with the service until she came along. My husband and his co workers from a welding facility will not go eat there if she is there. I speak on behalf of serveral customers, thee owners need to get rid of her, or they can count our business gone. Not impressed with her attitude. 1 out of 10 rating.

I called Dairy Queen in Weimar, Texas to place an order at 6:15 PM. The phone rang 25 times and no answer. I called back 10 minutes later and let the phone keep ringing and no answer. So I drove by it on my way to the next fast food place and I saw only one customer in Dairy Queen and one employee looking at his cell phone. This was not the only time no one would answer the phone. If someone would just answer and say
“please hold” would be fine.

My husband and I went to Dairy Queen Evansville Indiana 1st avenue today for lunch, as we usually do, we did get two plain double cheeseburgers and my husband’s bottom bun was so wet, I guess from warming it up in microwave, that he had to take bottom bun off to eat it. He called to complain to the manager and she was rude and didn’t want to listen to our complaint. Managers name is Jakara she said we have two weeks to pick up the make-up cheeseburgers. It’s a sad manager that doesn’t even care what complaint that a customer has, I guess she hears so many that she doesn’t care!!!!

The DQ in Jasper, Alabama needs some attention with some of it’s employees starting with one of the manager’s I don’t know her last name but her first name is Ashley and she is a manager, she either needs to be retrained or terminated, I have a 17 year old son that works at this location, he is new only been there for a couple of weeks , he got a couple of orders wrong so she felt the need to curse my son out litterly in front of the whole store and screaming at him and then sends him home, and on other days she will tell him to be there at 12 or 4 etc but when he arrives at that time she tells him not to clock in and then will go ahead an let in clock in about 10 to 15 minutes later and an hour on another occasion and she likes to send some of the employees home early alot some not to long after their shift starts his last paycheck was for $30 something! But something really needs to be done with how she treats the employees, screaming ,and cursing a 17 year old out like she did was VERY UNCALLED FOR !!! She clearly doesn’t act like management material and needs to learn some respect, as well as when and how to handle certain situations , what she did was bad for business and she has no business talking to a young kids the way she did as well as the words that came out of her mouth. I was very close to having a few words of my own with her , but I didn’t I told myself that i would just contact corporate first because she really doesn’t want this mom in her face ! I hope that this matter gets resolved soon my son isn’t the only one she has done this too, one employee actually quit because of her .
Thanks,

Both Dairy Queens here in Galesburg, IL. are skimping on the toppings in the blizzards.. I like the Reese’s and Butter finger blizzards the most.. I asked them to make sure they put the topping in the blizzard and they charged me xtra for it… Once I got it, I noticed they put it on top, I moved the topping off to the side and all there was was ice cream… I asked to speak to the manager, she told me she would take care of it…I was not reimbursed for the xtra topping which I did not want…All I wanted them to do was actually put the topping I wanted in the blizzard… They been doin this for the past 3 months…This the first time I have been charged…I told the manager what I told the worker and she said nothing… I told them if they are not goin to put the topping in the blizzard I was not goin to order anymore and will not order from dairy queen again….They didn’t seem to care… I have been hearing from a lot of ppl here in Galesburg bought them skimping on the toppings… I spend a lot of money every week here in Galesburg for the blizzards….I am very disappointed with both Dairy Queens, they both did fabulous and now they are goin down hill…

I tried to resolve my issue through the DQ web mail but had the system tell me it was not responding.
Visited the restaurant at 109 E Ocean Blvd in Kill Devil Hills, NC on September 26, 1:53 PM. I ordered the BBQ combo pretty much because the advertising board showed a plump sandwich that looked appetizing. The actual meal was very small, meat was pulverized into pulp, and thin, and the fries were cold and hard. My wife had an Asian grilled salad and it was very plain, scrawny, and unremarkable.
My daughter said to make the complaint to corporate, as the restaurant staff are not responsible. So here it is: I have many choices to eat at restaurants, and will not eat at DQ again. Also, I do think the local staff that serves this food this way ought to be schooled in proper food preparation.

The DQ in Bloomington at Old Shakopee is going down hill. I ordered a peanut butter snicker blizzard and was told they were out of PB so they would replace with reese cups. When we started eating it we were grossed out. We couldn’t figure it out until someone pulled out a pecan! Ewww. They put snicker and pecans in it. So disgusting. I go to this location often and recently the blizzards have been not goo so we get dilly bars. I don’t think I will go back there. They need management on site and more training. I am still grossed out. I hate pecans!

Hi. I have been frequenting the DQ on Lansdowne Ave in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania for about the past month. I have tried 4 or 5 of the dessert items on the menu & they are really delicious, & the employees behind the plexiglass are polite, pleasant & don’t rush me as I’m getting my money out to pay them/putting change away after paying. (It’s one of the DQ’s where you stand in line to order whatever food you’re interested in getting, not a sit-down restaurant). However, I’ve noticed on 2 occasions, unfortunately, that a young female customer standing in line is brazenly & boldly smoking with a young man-(not smoking) and a small child is with them, about 2 or 3 years old, yet there is a sign on the DQ window which clearly states for the customers’ benefit: “No Smoking at the Window as You’re Taking Your Order”; however, the customer who clearly has a cigarette in her hand has no qualms Whatsoever as she Nonchalantly comments what she wants to order, & Not One Single Solitary Emplyee/Manager Confronts Her To Say She Won’t Be Served Unless Or Until She Puts Out Her Cigarette, & she proceeds to pick up the small child while she’s holding her cigarette in her other hand!!! It is very sad the little (boy) has to endure inhaling cigarette smoke, & I happened to be standing behind her while she ignorantly & insensitively invades my space while moving away from the counter window! She is not only subjecting her child to carcinogens from the cigarette smoke, but myself, the employees behind the windows who need to open & close their windows repeatedly to take orders, & obviously other customers as well. If there is a sign on the window which claims to prohibit a potential customer from smoking, why doesn’t DQ enforce it, & refuse business from the smoking customer???!!! It is obviously very unhealthy, & if she wants to pollute her internal organs with smoke, that’s her business, but why should she be permitted to inflict it on other customers & employees? I hope this issue is taken seriously since everyone obviously is aware of the hazards of second-hand smoke as well as the hazards of the individual actually smoking, despite standing outdoors.

My granddaughter and I visited Dairy Queen in Wylie where we have gone many times. The food is always great. We went there this evening. My granddaughter’s BLT was so saturated with mayonnaise that she couldn’t eat it. It completely fell apart the first time she picked it up. And no she is ten, she knows how to eat a sandwich. My nachos were smothered in cheese sauce with very little greasy meat. Very disappointed. Doubt I will go there again any time soon. The thought of the nachos kind of turns my stomach.

The DQ in Rosemount, MN could use a good training on customer service, efficiency and cleanliness. I know the last couple of years this location has had a lot of turn over. It is great to see young workers, but there needs to be some good training for the employees that may not know general job skills and the skills to work in fast food. The last couple of months, this location is horrible. The cashiers are not familiar with the register, food order screen or the machines. The staff prepping the food are getting many orders wrong. And worst of all, the cleanliness of the store. YUCK. Tables are not being cleaned. The counters where the food is being handed off to the customers are filthy. Flies are everywhere. I counted 5 while in line. There were employees going from register to prepping to bring food out to the dinning area and back without washing their hands. I have been there a couple of times these last couple of months and the location need help. A good training for a few hours or someone on hand to help the employees would increase the locations issues. I was standing in line with customers and the consensus on these issues are well known. It’s fast food but it doesn’t need to be gross, dirty and awful service.

I visited the DQ on Loop 288 in Denton today My customer service experience was terrible. I asked the girl at the counter what comes with the $5 lunch deal? Her relpy to me was,”Shouldn’t you already know?” I asked her if that is how she is supposed to respond? She said well we don’t let everyone know about the special. To top it off the burgers was overcooked and dry. This location needs training from counter to the kitchen. That was my last trip to this DQ and I will not suggest this location to anyone. Thank you for ruining my love for DQ!

Lady taking orders is on cellphone taking orders while another at counter.
Short story they cannot multi task.
To top it off, they brracade an area so people don’t get it dirty while people are still coming in.
They are not meeting food handeling regulations and need to get trained in hygiene.

I am very unhappy that you are closing your Dairy Queen in Gaffney, SC. I can’t believe you are closing the best piece of property around. I won’t be eating anymore pecan blizzards.

My next migraine I went to get a blizzard, and an employee left a nasty comment on the company page about me. I asked for it to be removed, and the owners to Contact me, nothing, so I contacted corporate, still nothing, again, still nothing, almost a week and the comment is still there and other employees are liking smart comments on this. I said but you didnt follow your companies standards then he took 1 on the blizzards & turned it upside down & said “Happy Now”!!!! I would have walked out but my 2 young children wouldnt have understood & it wouldn’t have been worth upsetting them! Now I’m from Topeka kansas and Dariy Queen Moto on a blizzard was they turn it upside Down to prove its thickness. The Dairy Queen in Topeka on 29th & California seems to disregard that. And at times makes the blizzards very running and refuses to turn the upside down and when you request for them to they’ll say it was only cause a Monthly special or only at Participating locations . Like today I brought the blizzard of the month rolo blizzard and the commercial says if we don’t turn it the next one is on us. And of course the work didn’t turn the blizzard so I park and went inside & said the commercial says if you buy the blizzard of the month and if you guys don’t turn it upside down the next blizzard if free. And the worker told me that’s ot at participating locations . This explains why so many blizzards are now made running and not to what it’s suppose to be.
Chris says

paper and food all over and the bathrooms were very dirty. There was toilet paper on the floors and my son and husband said the toilet in the men’s room was stopped up. We were really surprised because the Dairy Queen locations that we visit in Ohio (Batavia,

We pulled into the parking space and in front of the door was a man and woman making out and hanging on each other. I noticed the lady with short hair had on a dairy queen shirt. I turned to my husband and shook my head. We decided not to stop but to continue on our way. I felt my children didn’t need to walk right passed that. FYI to Dairy Queen employees nobody wants to see that with families of young children or in general.

Not happy with your store on Main Street Pennsburg, Pa 18073
We were there twice in the past two weeks and both visits they did not have
whipped cream for the sundies.
When I questioned the person at the counter they made light of the problem.
I suggested that they go to the local market and purchase whipped cream and they
just laughed.
This is the last time that we will frequent that store.

Dear Corporate,
My name is Jessica, and I live in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Im a very big fan of Dairy Queen, and I always have been! I’m a very loyal customer, and so is my husband! We visit our local Dairy Queen almost every weekend. I’m writing this comment because I’ve just heard news that our local stores will no longer be carrying one of our very favorite blizzards; The S’mores blizzard! We are so sad about this, and we would really like to see this come back to our local stores. We feel that it was a very big hit! Last summer when we had the blizzard we went almost every other day! Please bring back the s’mores blizzard!
Sincerely, a very sad customer!

I was told “good luck” by Francico the supposed store manager on duty when I told him I was going to contact DQ Corporate office about the way he was running their store in Santa Rosa Mall Fort Walton Beach Fl. We shop that store 2 to 3 times a week. We had come to order our normal orange Julius strawberry banana but were hungry. So we ordered the hot dog combo , hot dog, chips and strawberry banana drink. He rang up the hot dogs as separate menu items as well as the drinks, again as separate menu items. Thus raising the overall ticket price. Told him again we wanted the combo, he said he couldn’t because he was out of chips. Told him even without chips the price was still cheaper. He could not comprehend this and still refused . We even said he could discount these items to us because of no chips. He refused and constantly replied with an arrogant attitude. We then asked for a refund and made the reply about getting a hold of corporate and his smart aleck reply. We will start going to Sonic from now on.

In the 17 years I’ve lived in McKinney Texas I had never been to the Dairy Queen…I’ve always heard awful things about it and was told to basically stay away. Well I decided to take the kids for ice cream, and not only was the cashier rude and snotty every time I asked a question. ..everything that we had wanted to order they didn’t have….come to find out the cashier had posted a small hand written not on the register stating what they were out of..I’m sorry but who looks at a register while they’re trying to figure out what to order?? Not only did they not have half of what was on the menu, the restaurant itself was filthy…considering it was almost empty the tables were dirty, food on the floor, and I didn’t dare look in the bathroom! ! Needless to say now I know why I was told to stay away, and I will NEVER return!!!

I am a HUGE dairy queen fan and often stop at the Lickdale, Pennsylvania location for my favorite, the Cotton Candy blizzard. For the past 4 weeks now I have stopped in at this location multiple times at least twice a week and they consistently are sold out of cotton candy blizzards. I don’t quite understand, this franchise cannot order appropriately to know that this items sells. Also this location has repeatedly given my wife and I the wrong change. The next closest DQ location for me is 25 minute travel time. I’m terribly disappointed and I will no longer be giving this franchise or other franchises my business.

We have a great Dairy Queen in Marshall, Illinois. The owners are a tremendous couple who are considerate bosses that locally employ a staff of hard working considerate people.
My criticism is not the business, but MBK Construction company that is doing the remodeling. I do not know when they will ever complete the project. They come for a day and then they are gone. Sometimes only one person shows up. I cannot even imagine how it is hurting the owner’s business and this is their livelihood. When we stopped today it was evident that the air conditioning was not working. This is a ice cream store and the height of their season. If you have any say in this matter please hurry this shoddy construction company to finish the job. I don’t care how may businesses they have built, any of our local contractors could have had the job done by now. I am grateful that they are using a local supplier for their materials.

I just decided to go get a blizzard for the first time in a long time. I ordered a large Jurassic without even looking at the price…Talk about being disappointed!! I about fell out when I heard my total was over $5 for 1 blizzard. I thought, well at least it’s a “large”. Next disappointment was when I saw the actual size of a “large”. Pretty sure that is the size of a medium cut. Boo. I went on and was trying to enjoy it in spite of the ridiculous price and pathetic cup size, which brings me to my biggest disappointment… after eating the first 1/3 of my “large” blizzard there was nothing but ice cream. I started digging around with my spoon to no avail. I noticed there was not much topping in the first third and assumed more was in the bottom. Long story short…this by far was the most disappointing waste of my time and money in a long time!! Won’t be back. But I will share my story with friends and family!! I understand the need to make money, but $5 for 20 ounces of ice cream? That is $15 per half gallon???? Greed right there!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I know I did not half to buy it and never will again!! Thanks for ripping everyone off!!! Now the Submit link does not work on your site!! Wow!! Montgomery, Al Taylor Road DQ

I have lived in the Stanwood/Camano area for over 13 years and I know several years ago the Dairy Queen was in need of serious repair/overhaul. It was so dirty and so out of date. It was finally redone several years ago which made it really look good and well done. However I rarely go in there now as the service is just a complete and utter disgrace, the kids that work there just plain don’t care, however it could very well be the management there causing the morale issues. The management needs to build a great team there and bring back the people in there. I was so disappointed on how dirty it was in the eating area and in the serving area. The people working there you could tell they just did not want to be there. It was so sad and the environment was awful. I have visited the Mount Vernon Washington Dairy Queen on several occasions and you can tell the morale there is almost outstanding. The Stanwood Dairy Queen needs that environment desperately. Please whoever is running that store needs to rethink the management team, as I know if you have an awesome management that can bring great morale to the team, you will have a winning team. Please clean up that store in is in terrible shape
Thank You Maureen

never have i had such a disappointing trip to DQ, especially one i had been particularly looking forward to.
we were so excited (and worried) about the new DQ near us- more pounds for us- but close enough to walk!
1st ) i asked for a GA mudd fudge, they did not know what that was.it was not on the menu, but i have gone to many DQ’s that did not have it listed but still sold it. That’s okay, i’m thinking it is a brand new DQ so they have to get used to stuff, so i order another flavor,
2)my husband ordered 1/2 m&m, 1/2 reeses. he explained it wasn’t extra candy, just 1/2 of 1 and 1/2 the other.
the clerk said she understood and wasn’t going to give him extra candy. she asked fir assistance on the drawer with that order because she made a mistake.
-Before we left, i looked at the receipt and noticed that we were charged for extra candy on my husband’s blizzard.
Just like every DQ i have gone to made Georgia mudd fudges, we were never charged for EXTRA CANDY we did not get on a blizzard whe we asked for 1/2 one kind and 1/2 another. especially since she said she understood and we did not get extra candy. I took the receipt back to the clerk and said we just wanted 1/2 &1/2 so why were we charged extra? well, she had to charge us that way.
i can only account so much for these cirXXXXstances being because it was a new store.
Just so disappointing

Me and a friend decided to go to dairy queen on 5/23/2015 we waited about 15-20 minutes on our food. Once we got our food we noticed they forgot our drinks. We went back they gave me two empty cups and I had to get them myself. I live only two to three blocks away. I finally get home to sit down and eat and I noticed the food was not even warm the fries had to of been sitting for longer than 5 with out a heat lamp on them. None of my food was fresh. By any means. I called dairy queen and was quite upset. During the call I started to get more upset because he didn’t seem to even care on the phone and I used the f word. I asked for a refund or replacement and he hung up on me. I went down to the dairy queen demanded the manager and he came out and refused to refund my money or replace the meal even though I brought the whole meals back. My friend was so hungry he ate half of his sand which and I made him stop and I had only taken one bite. He refused to refund us anything and walked away from us and called my friend a XXXXXX. We were recording the whole thing. He had his 16-17 year old coworkers handle the situation. I later posted the video on Facebook and I did not let anyone call him names or degrade him. He continued to call me a dumb XXXX and threatened to fight my friend and said he will never get fired because the boss doesn’t care. I screen shot every comment made and still have the video and the manager is convinced nothing will come out of this. Its not even about the 15$ we spent and didn’t even get to eat its about the principle and now he’s threatening to fight us and is slandering us. I never once secluded him from anything I put in my video comment dairy Queen service as a whole in OUR town…. I have the video if you would like me to email it and half the town is willing to write their experience down about how bad their service and food is at this restaurant in Huntington indiana on first street. the manager promised that nothing will come of this and called us dumbasses and so on.

Your breakfast is great, but you should serve it longer or at least do buscuits and gravy all day. Half people who love Dairy Queen breakfast can never get it becaue they work night shift and by the time they get home and to bed it’s too late for them to get the most important meal of the day. Doing al-day breakfast WILL bring our restaurant out on top because no other restaurant does that. If your prices would go Down just a bit maybe people wouldn’t complain so much about the portion sizes they receive. It IS way too expensive to eat here more than once a week, if that often.
PS
I can’t access the Official DQ comment page, as MANY others cannot. I have not been able to contact you for a year because of the issue. Is this on purose? Does anyone know how to contact you?

So I live in Powderly, Tx and my family goes to the Dairy Queen a lot in powderly. Usually we have good service but recently it has been bad. One night I ordered two order of nachos, two order of fries, and two medium cokes. Well while waiting for the food (which took 15 minutes) I could see the employees just messing around and talking with each other. I get home to find jalapeños on my nachos. I never said I wanted them and never got asked for them. Which they should ask if I want them.

I am a 77 yr old lady with stage IV cancer and also have an invalid husband with Parkinsons. I had been to the doctor with our caregiver and said stop at HIGLEY VILLAGE DAIRY QUEEN in Gilbert, Az to p/u some food to take home. I had not eaten all day. We ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 shakes….proceeded to the payout and only 2 shakes were given to us….we said there were 2 sandwiches also, the gal at the window with headphones on kept saying I can’t hear you (but she did not take off her headphones), so the 2 of us trying several times finally got it through to her there was more. She said, “pull around to the back of the building and we will bring it out to you”. We did, that was a driveway and many garbage cans. We sat and sat, nothing. It was very unpleasant. I said to the caregiver, I guess I am going to have to walk around the building amongst the cars and find out about the food. When I entered the store, a young man came to ask what he could do? I said I have been waiting for the food we have ordered twice and explained….he said, I am sorry I will get it for you. In the meantime, the girls are hanging out in the back looking up at me with sneery faces, no apologies, nothing. The young man went to the refrig and BEGAN preparing the food!!! That’s right after all that time behind the building, the food had not even been started. It took the fellow less than 5 mins to prepare (microwave, etc). He apologized and I said, thank you for getting our food, it is not you who should apologize but those 2 girls in the back. I have tried calling the manager, who was suppose to be in today but the kids are telling me she is not coming in today. I wrote an email to corporate last night only to be told upon trying to submit, that link was not active anymore. Today I called corporate, customer service, waited and waited while the prompter said we will be with you in a minute. Suddenly there is a hangup and no one was there. We live in a retirement community which often buzzes by Dairy Queen for food. This type of service is not acceptable under any conditions and it seems very difficult to get anyone to listen. So goodby Dairy Queen in Gilbert Az on Queen Creek and Higley Rds. You need to pay attention to your customers!!!!!

Hell-o , There’s a Dairy Queen in Well’s Mn. that has served us stale buns you couldn’t even put a finger print in and I’ll bet the hamburgers are made way ahead of time and cold. Going through drive in and we we got mustard packets that the mustard was hard and brown. Dairy Queen has a special, the mini banana split they don’t have. My husband ask for that and what he got was a blizzard with hard green bananas, hard as a peeled potato. Now I had a A&W root beer stand and restaurant and I know how it should be, they get away with anything they want.

Went in to buy Large Cake, got the one I wanted went to counter & worker asked If I needed it wrote on & I said No just need to pay.. She walked away & I asked the other worker at register if I could pay & she said “We have a Line “!!! There were 12 people in the line & I’m to stand in that line with the cake while others are ordering cones & etc & I’m holding a $25.00 cake that is not covered or protected from several people coughing, talking & etc…There were 3 workers there & the one that said that was at register. I put the cake back in freezer & left..
If that is Dairy Queens policy for purchasing an item that needs NO prep, I question your management priorities.
One of the 3 workers could have cashed out the cake & made profit for the business plus a appreciative customer.
Today is Mother’s Day & our traditional Dairy Queen Cake will not be for desert.
I’m sorry to be so blunt but that certainly is not good PR or business practice..

hi,. I used to work at dq restaurant on blue lakes in twin falls I only worked there for about 2 months.worst experience ever in a fast food place.. I recently just quit because the boss/manager is quite rude and mean to his employees, he made me cry a few times and along with some other workers. everyone knows that him and an worker are dating.. we don’t have actual proof but all the workers know about it. I think this is completely wrong because he is like 50 years old and the employee is 21 years old.. I think its quite disgusting and it should be taken care of.. and I knew about this before I started working there at the end of February of 2015.

So about 3 days ago my wife found out that the were serving cotton candy blizzards at the Midwest city ok location and got very excited because that is her favorite. So we loaded the kids up and drove down there ordered then waited for about 20 minutes got asked to pull up ( by the way it’s raining during all of this) so finally a lady brings the blizzards out 4 of them all runny and without lids in the rain so I have to go in … The manager was nice he handled it finally then I went again to the same location because why not give them a second chance ordered the exact same thing waited for about 15 minutes once again asked to pull up waited 15 more minutes a lady came out and checked that I was waiting for my blizzards and a kids meal she named off the exact blizzards I was suppose to get and then 7 minutes later brought me the wrong blizzards … Consider me done with that Dairy Queen oh and on top of that as soon as I pulled to the window I was handed a water that I didn’t order and the window closed immediately when it finally opened back up I told them that it wasn’t mine I was told that they couldn’t take it back through the window so I would just have to keep it. Fix it … Don’t fix it I don’t care I won’t be back

About two weeks ago my husband and I visited the Dairy Queen in Ludowici ga. Not knowing what we wanted, I decided on a cone and my husband got a blizzard. Now he got served his blizzard upside right. After a minute I remembered your commercial. “Not served upside down or it’s free”. So I asked the girl at the counter about it, and I was told “oh we only do that with certain blizzards”. but that’s not what your commercial says. It seems like False advertising to me. If your not going to honor what is publicly stated on tv you shouldn’t advertise it. Shame on you. Two less customers is what I say.

The Shelbyville Tennessee DQ is the worse one I have ever been in. They can not get a simple sandwich order right , and must not be able to read or understand a BOGO coupon because they did not give us what the coupon states we were to get. And the blizzards are so runny there is no way they could serve it upside down like sign states or get one free next visit. Ha Ha no way they are gonna give you one free! False advertising all the way around! They need to train these people or fire them!! Done for good with DQ, so stop sending me coupons that these places will not redeem properly even if the store is named on the coupon.

My daughter just got a job at the Andover mn DQ. Before she started, she was told that she would have to buy black slacks and special 20 to 30 dollar shoes. She could not start training with out getting these. She was promised 18 to 20 hours a week. Now, after three weeks, she has been scheduled for three to four three hour shifts a week bit get this…every employee except for managers must call in one hour before the shift starts to see if they are needed. Of the three to four shifts, she is only asked to come in for may be two of them. Then she is told the they don’t need her anymore after one or one and a half hours. So she is basically one call. Two hours a week after spending 40 bucks just to get on the schedule and not being able to make plans for half the week is an abuse and lack of respect. To top that off, the few males hired are given even loss hours and they quit early on. Every one else hired are mostly blond females. The owner and manager that hire and set schedules are males. I can’t believe places can treat teens this way and get away with it. Not sure if she should stay and try to get enough hours to pay for the outfit or if she needs to get out ASAP before anything gets worse. I want to leave it up to her but worried that something else might be going on there. Anyone else have problems like this at DQ? What rules are there to protect teens?

On March 21, 2015, I went to DQ in Zanesville, Ohio on Maysville Pike, and ordered 3 banana splits. After the young lady took my money, and gave me my change, she immediately turned around and retrieved 3 bananas …. which she began peeling, bare-handed …. after handling money ! After quickly peeling the bananas, and placing them in the banana split bowls, she went back to the register and took another order. After that customer paid, I became really nauseated when she pulled her ponytail holder out and adjusted her hair, and retied it back again …. very close to where my half-made banana splits sat on the back counter !!! I then looked around at the other employees, and I noticed that some of them had on hats, and some of them did not. I REALLY noticed that NONE of them were wearing gloves, as they were handling and preparing other food !!! TOTALLY disgusting ….. I will NEVER, EVER, go there again ! Oh yeah … and I asked for my money back, and I left !!! Come on Corporate Office, get it together !!! Send out some field reps, and make a few surprise visits …. incognito !!!

I called the Ulmerton Rd Dairy Queen at around 10:30 pm to see what time they closed. They told me the lobby was already closed but the drive thru was open until 11:00 pm. I drove a good 20 minutes and got to the drive thru right at 10:50 pm. I pulled up to the box to place my order and was told to hold on please. There were no cars in front of me. I sat there until around 10:54 pm and when I was about to say “hello” they said just pull up to the window to place my order please. So I pull around the corner and there is a pick up truck right at the window. He is being handed bag after bag of food. Right when he pulls off all the lights go off on the outside of the restaurant. I pull up to the window and there are 3 people standing there. Two had on hats one girl didn’t. She had a broom in her hand and gave me a dirty look – whatever – I could care less about that. The girl at the register says what are you having. I start to tell her I want the original cheeseburger meal when she tells me the grills have already been cleaned down for the night. I ask what is available and she said ice cream. If a place closes at 11:00 and I’m there ten minutes before it closes, especially after a 20 minute drive, I expect to be able to order food and ice cream and drink and whatever else it may be. I assumed the girl with the broom was irritated with me because they were all obviously ready to go home. I was at the drive thru at 10:50 – perhaps had they taken my order right away, I could have gotten my food. All I got for my troubles of making sure the place was in fact open and driving 20 minutes was attitude, less gas in my tank and no food. What I really don’t appreciate is that the response to my order wasn’t, I’m sorry miss the grills are closed but this is what is available but simply the grills have been cleaned down for the night. No apology, no offer of anything else – nothing. If the Dairy Queen on Ulmerton Rd in Largo closes at 10:50 pm then that should have been told to me when I called or at least the lights should have been turned off at 10:50, the lights being turned off as soon as the guy in front of me got his food after I had been sitting there almost 5 minutes is completely unacceptable. This is the closest Dairy Queen to me and I guarantee the next time I am willing to drive more than 5 minutes to pick up food it will NOT be to this Dairy Queen as I have been shown that it will be a complete waste of my time and a disappointment. As someone who works with customers all day – the lack of professionalism was indeed disappointing.

On Wednesday while driving threw Petersburg Il I stopped at the DQ not even realizing it was half off day… I was on route back home and dinner time was approaching I went in a little busy but I waited.. The yelling and cursing coming from the chill area (believe that is what it is called). A very tall woman with dark hair apparently was having a rough day, I was not the only person appalled. I understand when a place is busy it is stressful but being made to feel uncomfortable while waiting for your order is not the way to keep business… The language and words were not a way to have a good dinner experience.. I am glad I only was a stop by.. Not a regular was I one I would go elsewhere…

She was needing a little bit of help by a girl who was running back and forth making orders by herself. You could tell that she was very stressed. She came over to help nicole type in my order, i asked her name and she said kaila. She appologized for taking so long to help with my order and asked if i was having a good day and went on with her duties. I had no problem with those two young ladies but then a different woman came up to the register being very rude to nicole and kaila. She wasnt wearing a dairy queen visor like the others and she had a different shirt on, so i assumed she was the manager. I continued to pay for my meal and walked to next window to fix my drink. The manager sent the two girls on their break and started to make my order. I waited just a few minutes but then the manager walked away and i stood waiting about 5 minutes. Then nicole came up to me and asked what all i was waiting on. The manager walked by and I heard her say,”what is that lady waiting on?, and yelled at them saying “well why didnt you make it?” Kaila just looked away and made my order tearing up. The manager then walked to my window very rudely and said we have to drop fresh fries so you will have to wait. I sat down at the table and as I was waiting, I heard her being very rude to the employees. One of the other employees brought my order to me and as i left i asked what the managers name was and she told me her name was ashlee. I am 72 years old. I have worked in a fast food industry before but if all restaurants are ran like this one by managers like her I give credit to the employees who stay there. I dont know if I will be back at Dairy Queen but if I see this happen again I will record it and bring it in to Mr Rigdon to watch.

Hello,
I visited your location in Menonomee Falls, WI at 1:30pm on Appleton Ave Monday, December 1st. I ordered an Asian Peanut salad and some onion rings. First of all, I asked for extra mandarin oranges on the salad; I was on my 1/2 hour lunch and this order took FOREVER!! I looked at my salad and asked if there was extra oranges (I was charged $.75). I was told by the manager the oranges were on the bottom of the salad. I was LIED to!! For a customers worth, extra oranges should be visible, not 5 extra. The onion rings were placed in the bag with a cold salad, WHO DOES THAT?? I asked for a seperate bag and it was handed to me, not bagged…Doesn’t the manager get paid to take care of the customer? I called and complained, spoke to the manager and the manager did not calmly explain anything to me. The whole time she was yelling on the phone and told me that I was not lied too and continued to yell. I told her while she was still yelling and raising her voice that this is no way to treat a customer. PLEASE FIRE THIS MANAGER and have all MANAGERS take serve-safe classes. PROPER PROCEDURES are not being followed. The manager is skinny, glasses, curly black hair and has no listening or concern skills.

I have to say that this Dairy Queen in Petersburg Il was an pleasant site on my recent travels. That was until I actually went inside! Since when does DQ have such horrible employees.. Rude filthy mouthed and most of all the stench of cannabis radiating from the place was horrid! I had half a mind to call local authorities… The employees have no guidance at all. I witnessed several eating food in the back threw the wall behind registers and a ice cream being ate by an employee running the register. I am sure the items were not purchased. My food was not the best messy and fries not hot at all.. I will just say nothing very pleased… If the crowd outside would be inside working perhaps it would run smoother..

Petersburg Illinois. DAIRY QUEEN fairly new has went to hell . Then place is filthy and staff is very incompitant The smell of marijuania on staff is very abundant as well as observed in behavior… The 40 minutes that I was in the lobby I was horrified the language and behavior of the employees was terrible. I witnessed people walking in and food being handed out with no cash exchange… I believe that the staff who loiter outside by the drive were indulging in more than cigarettes.. As stated in earlier statement. Employees sitting in a white suv defiantly… Where is management? I am sure participating in the activities there is no way that they could not know what is occurring.. If this place is going to stay something needs tto be done.. In recommend highly looking into this business and drug testing maybe on it or cameras

Linden, TX Dairy Queen needs attention. First, the drive up microphone is apparently broken because we were told to pull forward to put in our order. Well, if there is a car in front of you there is extra waiting before you can even put your order in. Second, the server had to ask whether or not they had the menu items (jalitos burger). Third, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our order. Fourth, got home and the Blizzard we ordered and paid for was nowhere to be found. Fifth, the medium order of fries was a small order. Frankly, we could have been forgiving on any one of these mistakes, but 5???? Get it together, DQ.
We won’t be back and called them and told them so. Very disappointing.

In the 1960’s Dairy Queen served the “Blizzard” which was a very thick milk shake. It was served with a straw and a spoon. Why is the current “Blizzard” called this. Why aren’t the real original “Blizzards” offered?

I am sending this to you as i have a real concern about one of your stores it is the only one located in Chestermere, Alberta. My 16 year old son went there for lunch yesterday (Oct. 30/14) and ordered a chicken wrap meal and a strawberry sundea and before he started eating his lunch he started eating his sundea and well there was a maggot in his sundea…really gross!!! He took it to the counter and told the person there and showed this to him and he took a spoon scooped out the maggot and gave it back to him and said here its good to eat now. Are you kidding me!!!! so I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager and he was the one who answered the phone so I proceeded to tell him what happened to my son and he said he was the one who helped him and said yes he took a spoon and scooped it out. I couldn’t believe it he then said it wasn’t a maggot it was a piece of chicken and I proceed to let him know that it wasn’t chicken it was a maggot and I have a picture to prove that. He did nothing just offered for my son to get another ice cream and I said are you kidding me why on earth would he want another ice cream he should have given him all his money back for his lunch as he couldn’t eat it because he was so grossed out!!! I am letting you know that this is unacceptable and I will be making a big deal about this… first I want the $12 back that my son spent on his lunch that he had to throw away and second I want you guys to train your staff especially your management on healt and safety at work. Him saying it was chicken almost makes it worse why is the food being cross contaminated?????

We visited the Diary Queen in Ligonier Indiana last Wednesday. I assumed the fact that there were no other vehicles there was because it wasn’t the rush time. We were at a new dentist office in a town we don’t frequent and later learned the very bad reputation this place has. The guy that waited on us was quite dirty. He looked like he’d been rolling in something white…like flower?. He needed to spend more attention on his job then on the guy in the back room attempting to cook. We let it all slide as we already knew it wasn’t a place we cared to return to. The floor was dirty and tables unclean even though it was slow time and everyone was standing around. As we started to eat a local accident caused the area businesses to loose power. As I took my next bite into my bacon cheeseburger I realized why I had a strange taste from my prior bite. I looked and realized I had been biting into plastic. I told the girl at the counter it wasn’t acceptable. I asked for the manager and was informed she was. She told me it was nothing, it was from the cheese wrapping. WELL, IT WAS SOMETHING TO ME. She did offer to give me my money back. That was all I had tried to eat or drink. Before she did that I took pictures. When she returned she had the kid that was cooking with her. He never apologized. Instead he also attempted to say it was not a big deal. I told her I wanted to speak with the owner. She provided me with that. We then went to the car and called the #. I reached a gal who kept asking me if she could help instead of the owner. She stated they run several different stores in the area. I shared with her the story and she didn’t seem surprised or even concerned. At this point I stated I was going to share this online including Facebook. Then she appeared to care in a small way. When asked what would make me happy (instead of posting) I wasn’t really sure. The best was for her to have assured me she was going to correct things. But instead what did I want. So I told her a coupon for $20 at a store rather than that one. She said she would and asked name and address. That was it. Well I received One $5.00 coupon in today’s mail. That was it. That was a slap in the face. There are many other fast food restaurants. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH DAIRY QUEEN. I understand there are many owners/managers but they are representing DAIRY QUEEN. AND THIS EXPERIENCE SAYS A LOT. Pictures will accompany this letter on Facebook.

Kennett MO has THE WORST dairy queen EVER! Everything was cold as ice and when I voiced my concern they all looked as if they could care less. The girls were all slumped over the counter no one was working. The guy cooking the food looked as if he was on meth and did not wash his hands. The next day I spoke with the store manager which sad to say did not go any better. She got very loud and rude and hung up the phone on me as I was speaking. I called back asked for her name she said Kim or something I politely told her that I was not finished speaking yet when you hung up the phone. She told me that she was not going to do anything about the situation and that she was there yesterday. I told her well if you were there you were either part of the group of lazy girls that were all standing around or nowhere in sight. I told her I was going to contact Corporate because if I’m spending 14 dollars or more I should at least be treated with respect. This place is very unclean and should be SHUT DOWN or re staffed bc it definetly gives Dairy Queen a HORRIBLE name!!!!

The Dairy Queen on Sherman Street in Fort Wayne, IN has the worst staff I have ever encountered. They bump into each, giggle, look dazed and confused, cannot add, run a cash register, or a credit card scanner. They are the slowest and most inconsiderate bunch of teenagers ever! They all really need adult supervision. Culver’s is a better choice even if you must drive further to get there! Done with this place forever!

I am writing this today because the girl of my dreams is very upset that she cannot get a butterscotch dipped cone in Texas. She has looked for it in so many different locations with no luck. She is from a small town in Minnesota and some of her fondest memories of her childhood include these dipped cones. I am prepared and more than willing to scour the entire planet for this product and was hoping that you would be able to assist me by either informing me of the nearest location to Houston that I can purchase this, or better yet shipping me at least one cone. Her smile melts my heart and it is my life’s mission to please this beautiful woman. Her fondest memories include this cone and mine include her. If I were to die today, the best part of my life would be being able to see her amazing smile and knowing that I caused it. Dairy Queen, please help me die the happiest man who ever walked the earth!!!

Went hunting in Eastland Texas with my husband and our two girls. I am a BIG fan of DQ. My mom worked in a DQ down in East Texas (Van to be exact) So I grew up all my life eating in a DQ. Even after Church on Sundays my Mamaw would take me to get a cherry Dr.Pepper and a chocolate dipped cone. This was a regular thing with us.
Anyways, my husband agrees to stop at the DQ locations only because of it being a special thing from my childhood.
We had finished a day of hunting , tired and dirty. He agreed that I would go to the local DQ and get us something to eat. While we were waiting at the drive-thru window for our drinks . My daughter (who is in an advanced culinary school in the DFW area) noticed 3 health violations just from the window alone. 1. being that the employees cups that they touch and drink out of of were up on the serving area where customers food is placed. 2. The cook dropped fries in the fry basket WHILE EATING AN ICE CREAM CONE ! Licking the cone while preparing my fries? I don’t think so ! ! ! ! The young girl who took our order asked us to pull around to wait for our burgers , so we did. All the while my daughter was upset and talking to me more and more about the health food violations. I pulled around to the front like the young girl asked. And while I was making up my mind to go in and cancel our order after what we had seen while at the window. The man at the front register blew his nose, threw away the tissue and went straight over to make a blizzard ! He DIDN’T WASH HIS HANDS ! ! ! ! ! ! After seeing this and the cook . There was NO WAY I was going to eat anything they were making us. Not only did we see these things that they were doing in front of us. They also left the mop bucket near the food preparation area. Which is yet ANOTHER health food violation . When I went in to talk to the manager about a refund. The guy who blew his nose and didn’t wash his hands. Said that I couldn’t have a refund. That’s when I I got really upset. And said that I had better have a refund or that I was calling the police to make a complaint on top of the one that I was making to the local health department. This really upset me. As I LOVE Dairy Queen. But now upon seeing how some of them are ran, especially those in the small towns ( I am from a small town with a DQ) So I am not knocking the people. But DQ’S corporate, upper management and store level management. As I don’t think that they are visited often enough for routine checks. It’s obvious by the cook eating an ice cream in the kitchen area. That the lack of management was the problem at this location. Because if the cook knew the manager wouldn’t approve , he wouldn’t have been eating back there in the first place. And not only that , but wouldn’t have the cups on the serving bar, nor the mop bucket near food items in the prep area. So lack of a good manager is the issue here. Someone needs to go do a surprise visit at the Eastland Tx. location. I bet you you’ll find more problems than what we did the 5 minutes we were there.

I recently went to the Hartford, Wisconsin Dairy Queen on Hwy. 60 after seeing my friend who lived in Hartford. One of the employees there, Alyssa, spat into my food while she was working on grill. I threw it away. That is disgusting and wrong. I can’t believe she treated me with such rudeness and disrespect. I didn’t complain at the time because I always believed in showing people respect, but the lack of respect and the waste of money shows how badly I was treated. The manager also is a Christian fundamentalist that is very discriminatory and bias towards customers that do not express the same beliefs, and preaches his beliefs at work, which is a lack of professionalism and respect for other customers/employees beliefs. He only believes in hiring Christians, and as a gay individual, I could see how oppressive and intolerant he was. If no action is taken for both of the employees actions, I will file a grievance with O.S.H.A. and the Better Business Bureau. The lack of professionalism and the customer rudeness the manager and this employee (Alyssa) exude are oppressive, intolerant, discriminatory, and illegal. All of which I am willing to take a course of action with the federal government due to The Civil Rights Act of 1991. Those two employees need to be fired for their actions and how I was treated. I have never been treated in such a derogatory and oppressive way. Thanks for your time and consideration. For my consideration, please do NOT contact me by phone, use my email address. -Christopher

On 9/17/14 I pulled through my local Minden, Nevada DQ to order one Pumpkin Blizzard, small, and one original double cheeseburger with nothing but mayo (bread, mayo, cheese and meat). My wife had surgery that day and I didn’t want to cook. When I got home and opened the burger it was full of pickles, onions, ketchup and mayo. Threw it away. The blizzard was for my wife’s throat. She loved it. On 9/19/14 she asked for another Pumpkin Blizzard. Again we used the drive thru. It was 3:30pm and there was one car ahead of us, obviously waiting for hot food. When we got to the window and paid, I was handed a melted blizzard, which was dripping all down the sides and the cup was “squishy”. I pulled around to the parking lot and took the blizzard back in the store. I asked for a new one from the drive thru employee, telling her “this is not a Blizzard, it’s thick milk, you can’t turn it upside down”. The employee took it from me, turned around and said, “this is bullXXXXX!” When she handed the new Pumpkin Blizzard to me, I calmly told her, “I have one more suggestion for you, that is, when you’re dealing with customers, you probably shouldn’t cuss them out. If I had my family in here with me, I would have been very angry.” Her reply, “I’m sorry” and turned around and walked away. I returned to my wife and vehicle outside. Upon taking a couple of bites, my wife informed me that the blizzard was Apple Pie, not Pumpkin. I tasted it and yep, it was Apple Pie. I once again parked and again, took the blizzard back into the store. I stood at the end of the counter, the employee that made the first two glanced at me. I told the counter employee it was supposed to be Pumpkin to which she said,”you ordered Pumpkin?” My reply,”yes I did.” She then proceeded to make another Pumpkin Blizzard and handed it to me. The cup was so full it was pouring out all over the sides, the amount of whipped cream looked like an ice cream cone and I saw her put what I assume was a pumpkin flavor powder all over the top. I was so frustrated I walked out with it. When I showed it to my wife, in the truck, her mouth fell open at how disgusting it looked. This was a $5 mess!! The cup was again “squishy” and the contents were running all down her hand and dripped all over her pants. There were not enough napkins to even begin to clean it up. I thought if I scraped off the whipped cream I could save the ice cream, but it was useless. After taking a photo, we threw it away. So, within 2 days, we had two different orders messed up and I was cussed at. The last blizzard was obviously a “you want a pumpkin blizzard, I’ll make you a pumpkin blizzard” statement. It was absolutely childish, inmature and rude. I will still go to DQ, but I will drive 15 or so miles to go to the one in Carson City. I will never use this DQ again and I will make my opinions about the Minden, NV franchise known to anyone that asks. I work hard for my money, paycheck to paycheck, so these two visits were definitely a treat and I am sure the Carson DQ would love to have my business. I would have called the franchise’s local number to speak to the manager/owner, but quite honestly, I do not trust the employees to deliver the message. Therefore I am writing to ADQ, to make sure the person in charge knows what it going on in their store and how your brand is being sold.

I work at the Belfair, WA dairy. Have been working there for almost 2 years. The reasoning for me writing this is because i’m 21 weeks pregnant. I had gotten a doctors note stating I am not aloud to be lifting heavy things or cleaning with chemicals. Well, im still doing heavy lifting and cleaning with chemicals. I was having my crew members helping me but they and went to our store manager she than talked to me about having them help. So now I’m forced to do those things myself, and if I don’t do it it wont get done and id get in trouble for it. I love working for this company but working for this store manager makes me very stressed out because she put everything on me. On September 10th 2014 I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the bass boards with a very strong chemical. The next morning I had a bloody nose. Been having bloody noses for the passed three days. She had also gone and talked to one of the employees who informed me she said she wants me to quit. Making do everything even when I have a doctors note isn’t gonna make me quit. I’m informing you this so something can get done about it.

This could be a basis for a lawsuit. If you have dr’s. orders stating the do’s and don’ts of your pregnancy. Give upper management a copy of it. Have it on file. And you make those under you, do THEIR job of doing the cleaning. This way you have the dr’s. note on DQ’S file. They CAN’T fire you for this ! ! !

Sadly I am from Oklahoma City and do not have many options when it comes to getting a blizzard. I was very disappointed when I was informed of the fact that I could not have the blizzard I wanted because of the lack of proper planning of the of the ordering of the ice cream. To me this seems completely Illogical.

We’ve had problems with this DQ before and wanted to have an enjoyable night at my sons favorite food place. Ginnie, manager, I spoke with her and asked for a better experience by seeing our order thru. DQ could not get the order correct still. We were served burnt meat on our burgers. The bread was not fresh on the burgers and my youngest son received a burnt burger with soggy, greasy bread. I talked to Ginnie and she said she was not going to replace the bun and that she’s done all she is going to do for us. There was more to this visit but covered the issues that had us walk out of this DQ. I don’t understand how a manager can treat customers this way. My family and I will not visit this DQ again. I felt discriminated against. I wanted to let Corporate know as this is really sad. Ginnie does not have the personaltiy to deal with customers when there are issues.

This is NOT a discrimination issue. It’s just the lack of poor management in which I had a recent issue with as well.

went to d.q. in riverton Wyoming ,we been customers for years, the past few times we ‘ve gone in the place is not good. VERY dirty, smells of grease and its the smell stays with you on your clothes when you leave, the employes are young and don’t give a care their uniforms are dirty and the cookd in the back seem to goof off more then careening for customers needs. an employe walk in the back door while we were waiting for ice cream went right to the computer and punched and went right to serving ice cream not washing her hands. I can see samanella coming soon , they had ice cream on the machine and left it sit there and not wipe it off. I think they care more about a clean parking lot cause they are always out there washing it down. a lot of complaints going around, we feel there needs to be a surprise vist from corp, and straigten the mess up. its the only ice cream place we have here in riverton so someone needs to do something , until this is taken care of we won’t be back . don’t need to tweet or share we all just want it the clean and caring of customers that it once was … I am writing this for many complaining folks thank you..

We are a non-profit hunt club with 45 members and have existed over 60 years. Our goal as Carrsville Hunt Club is to bring families together. Hunting, no matter what type has values, morals, and also gives comfort and peace to many people. This is the path we are trying to pave for our younger generation. We participate in wildlife management programs through the Virginia Department of Inland Game and Fisheries. Last year we held our first annual Outdoorsmen Dinner and we had 165 guests in attendance. This was a great success for our club as well as our community and youth in attendance. We had a representative from the NRA speak on gun safety and what the NRA does and how it can help our community members. We also had a game biologist speak on the importance of wildlife management. Our hunt club sponsored a $500 scholarship for the best essay on good morals and family values of hunting, as well as a lifetime hunting license to one the youth in attendance. Our hunt club has been very successful due to our dedication to being a family, youth, and community oriented organization. We will have guest speakers to attend the event to help communicate how important values and safety are to hunting. We will be providing a catered sit down dinner included in the ticket price. There will be absolutely “NO” alcoholic beverages allowed at this event. We are also attempting to obtain monetary donations, or items that will be used for the auction and door prizes. It would be great if your company could donate any type of item(s) or even a gift certificate towards the purchase towards a product. We are a small club, but we are trying to do great things and hopefully this event will grow each year as you can see we had 165 in attendance last year and this year we are expecting 350. We are willing to advertise at this event, on behalf of you or your company. It would be an honor for our club and our community if you could donate to this cause. We feel this would greatly benefit our community and youth to help promote our cause. We realize the economy is tough and many people ask for donations, but this would be a great start for us to accomplish our goal in showing the community that hunting is truly a great thing. With your support, we have seen from last year that this event will have an impact on our community’s view of Outdoor Life.We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Last year the Franklin, Va- Dairy Queen donated cups and blizzards for the kids, this year the event will be held in Franklin, Va- and the store turned us down this year, i was hoping that Dairy Queen, Inc Corporate Headquarters would look over this a change your mind,
Dairy Queen could make alot of kids very happy with donating a kids treat for the goody bags that we are puting together for them, last year Franklin,Va Dairy Queen donated cups and kids treats. Thank You

I was an employee of 5 Star Treats, Inc. which have 5 Dairy Queens located around the Dallas area.I was a loyal employee for almost 5 years. I was wrongly fired. I was a training manager for our store and trained many incoming classes for other Dairy Queens in Texas without any compensation which I was promised and never received. I was labeled with harassment which was unfounded. This has hurt my reputation. I was a outspoken advocate for the Dairy Queen brand and you can ask any of the trainees I had how much working for this corporation meant to me. There were many times I was asked to work off the clock to help with labor control and never compensated for it. I was a policy driven employee that practiced following policy if I knew about it. I had taken a brief absence from the Dairy Queen I worked at and some new policies had come about in my absence, which when I returned they had not been explained to me. and I coming back to the job did not get the new policies told to me or put as part of my file. but they were used against me in their reasoning to let me go. I love Dairy Queen as a brand and for what corporate stands for, I taught it constantly. I do not blame our store manager, she did not want to loose her job and I don’t believe that the Owner is even aware of the horrible injustices that his Director of operations has been doing. You can ask the corporate leaders for Texas, Lou being one of them, I have always followed policy and taught the brand very well. I believe you lost a great trainer and loyal employee by the blind actions of a man that did not even investigate allegations. I have many on my side on this issue and are willing to stand behind my fight for justice, My witnesses that worked at the store were threatened with their jobs for helping me. This man running these stores is ruining the brand. I look forward to hearing from someone concerning this matter.

I had pulled away from the window because they made me sit there for 10-15 straight so my boyfriend went in a complained that we weren’t getting service and then they called police while I was in the car because they didn’t like someone coming in and complaining about the service. But I hadn’t done anything I was in the car the whole time. I went in there the next day to get my same order and they told me to leave and that I’m not aloud to be there and if I don’t leave police would get called. I was currently a worker there and have had many problems with Ashley shivers and had told Linda about it but Linda didn’t do anything about it. I do NOT like that I have been band from there for no reason that I have no idea about. I was recently employed as the general manager for Dairy Queen in Anson, Tx. They operate as a franchisee under the LLC Treats Investments. They employee an area supervisor by the name of David Bosquez. He is the supervisor of 5 locations. That is the basis of my complaint, as a general manager the only “control” I had was hiring staff { if I could get approval of paperwork per Mr. Bosquez } , making the weekly schedule {again had to get approval from Mr. Bosquez } , last but not least…taking care of customer complaints. { as long as I followed David’s direct procedure which also required “his approval”. I must admit although that was the procedure I would generally take it upon myself to correct the issue and I would even blatantly disobey David’s rules and give the customer more than what was messed up just to ensure the customer left happy.
The methods of Mr. Bosquez are very unprofessional and he does not give respect to any of the employees and to many customers as well. For example, we had 5-8 coffee drinkers that would visit DQ 5-6 times a week until Mr. Bosquez chatted with them one day and quite frankly I’m unclear of what was said, but that was the last time they visited the DQ. One of the gentlemen is a member of the Anson Chamber of Commerce and I’m sure would love to bend someone’s ear that had any control over Mr. Bosquez’s mannerism as to the jest of that final conversation that led to the relinquishment of their patronage.
Employees fear loss of their employment if they don’t do exactly as Mr. Bosquez says…..not in the sense of employer/ employee relations but more by Mr. Bosquez’s intimidation tactics and rude comments. I for one, decided the final straw was when Mr. Bosquez made fun of a friend of mine not only in front of me, but there was another gentleman there as well as my friend. He was making fun of this persons vehicle because it wasn’t “good enough” in Mr. Bosquez’s opinion. That was the most unprofessional comment I felt terrible for the person he directed it to. { He was laughing and commenting on the value of vehicle, asking the person if his friend could buy it for $200. } Asking if it would make it to Fort Worth and laughing. I felt that he was way out of line.
When I went to pick up my final paycheck, Mr. Bosquez would not take my calls, nor would he talk to me once I arrived at the DQ. When I finally did get Mr. Bosquez to talk to me he told me he did not know anything about my paycheck, as he did not do payroll. I would need to contact corporate Monday. This is Monday and I tried contacting corporate….after at least 15 minutes on hold I got a recording to leave my name and number {which I did}. I also visited the Work Force Center and filed a wage claim on my final paycheck . I hope that somebody that is “anyone” in this corporation will take the time to entertain my allegations of Mr. Bosquez’s demeanor and take a closer look at his methods and conduct within the company. There is no reason anyone of his character should be allowed to ” supervise” anyone …..his tactics, methods, and his fondness of young men are on the edge of unethical and inappropriate . I believe that in itself should constitute some sort of internal investigation.
Thank you,

I was going to send my complaint to Dairy Queen Corporate, but I’m not sure it really cares, judging from all the other comments on this site and no visual response from Corporate. If this is your reaction to negative comments about your stores, it’s no wonder there are so many poorly run businesses. The original Dairy Queens cared about how they appeared to the public. Obviously that is no longer a concern to either the owners or Corporate. We love your food. Everything we get is good, even if it’s not what we ordered. I live in Fairmont, WV and visit our local Dairy Queen at least once a month. I HAVE NEVER HAD A GOOD VISIT TO THIS RESTAURANT! All of the orders have never been correct in any visit. Most of the time, they are apologetic, but tonight I received the worst service I have ever had, and then I receive huffing responses and rolling eyes. YOU REALLY NEED BETTER OWNERS AND MANAGERS to represent your stores.

I 100 % agree with you about the management comment. I feel that they don’t care when you go in to complain. I went in to complain after 41 years of being a loyal DQ customer. And the manager NEVER offered an “I’m sorry” . Nor did he even care that I was going to be calling the health dept. the following Monday. Just gave a refund and walked away from me. That’s when I said out loud in front of the other customers. That I WOULD BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPT. ON MONDAY . . . . Maybe then he would listen to me.

I had a bad experience when visiting Dairy Queen at Phuket airport today. Although there were at least 4 staff here but the serving time was very slow and their attitude was very bad. One of them spilled coke when giving it to a man. All staff kept laughing for over a minute before cleaning up. In addition, when I got my food from her hand, she suddenly shouted out what I had ordered. It made me scared.
Hope your service attitude is improving in the future. Thank you.

I recently quit my job at DQ due to management. She would sit in the back for 3 hours when her shift started smoking CIG in the building. She would stay clocked in an go home and get her son ( the asst. Manager) to clock her in or out . I’ve watched her open the time clock change the day and time. There’s fatorism. Horribly. An were so post to be a team I was there almost 8 months pulling doubles , and 10 hr shifts. With a saying of a raids if I improved. I’m really upset with this. One time the asst manager was making foil pipes in the kitchen!!! I’m not stupid.

DQ in Woodlands, TX, management in the daytime have a problem. Management lets employees hang around the dining area lounging with feet on chairs and booths as if they are on their couch at home. Employees are roaming around everywhere with the drivethru line backed up. Management has also yelled at employees and tossed tent numbers at them, in front of customers they don’t have the decency to take them into the office if there is a problem. When someone asks for the general manager she is always busy and never has time to check on the problem. This DQ is very unorganized, you would think that the general manager would have more control of her employees.
This matter deserves immediate attention.

there are some DQ’s on the east coast that have had coffee flavored ice cream for many years. Why not have this at all DQ with people loving coffee the way they do I would think it would be a big hit all around the country. You guys are losing out!

I visited the local Dairy Queen at 9:00pm , this store has been in the community for quite a long time 50+ years. A few years ago this store was sold. Improvements have been made to update the store, on our visits this year we have a not favorable treatment. I went to order the ice cream and as I was… one of the employees came from the back with a pail of water and threw it at the table that my husband was sitting at… leaving and never wiping the pile of ice cream still on the table… I was at the window I ordered 2 blizzards, one with almonds and 6 dilly bars, as the dilly bars were brought to the window in a bag they were dropped on the floor ( I found out the one who brought the dilly bars was the manager). I took the deserts to the table found out what happened to my husband and 2 other guests and began to eat my blizzard, as i was enjoying my desert I realized there were no almonds in it. I went to the window and told the employee of the mistake. the employee told she could not add to the blizzard and gave me a cup of almonds… at 9:30pm at this time the store was also closing I spoke with the manager and told her what had happened at this visit and all she said was she was sorry… I then asked for the owners phone # an was told that she will call me I gave her my number and never received a call this has been 2 days after the visit….

We ate at Dairy Queen Franklin Texas. The place was dirty. Window ledges next to the table were very dusty with dead flys in them. There were live flys flying around. Food was on the floor. Sitting there I saw the teen age employee wipe several tables . Everything left on the table was wiped off onto the floor. They had a leak from the drink machine that puddled on the floor in front of the cash register. Some one came from the back and told the table wiper to mop it up. She had no idea what to do when the mop would not hold all the water. After instructions she made two trips to the back with the mop and then mopped some more and ended up mopping the water around and now had several puddles of water on the floor between the door and the cash register. Then she went behind the counter and STOOD. We eat at your places of business when we travel and this store needs a surprise visit from corporate.
T in Texas says
OMG ! I said the same thing about a “surprise visit” . And it seems that management is the issue also.

I just finished the better half of what I realized too late was a raw crispy chicken sandwich. I went back inside to tell an employee. I asked for another sandwich. However after listening to the employee in the back say “oh you can tell them it was my bad, I hit the wrong button.” Maybe you should educate your employees about salmonella poisoning. Unfortunately as I said I ate the better half, not half hour ago. If I do get sick, you can be sure, I will not let it go easily. I never even received an apology. I will never eat at Dairy Queen again. AND I WILL BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW!!!!!

The food was good but I just saw an ad on TV for the $5.00 lunch, which I had. On your TV ad the hamburger was twice the size, and the portion of fries was also twice as much that I got at the restaurant. How come you make it look so much bigger on TV ?????

I have a friends that currently works at the Dairy Queen in Calvert City, KY. Today she went into work at 4 o’clock. While she works she puts her belongings (keys) in the office. Between the hours of four and six o’clock one of her coworkers not only stole her keys, moved her car across the parkinglot but took a crap in a bag and put it in her car. She called me so upset about the situation because she feels as if nothing is going to be done by her manager, or her general manager. She also has told me multiple times about her nightly manager “Dycus ” who does not make the young men she works with do anything. They all standard around in the kitchen making rude and obscene comments. Seems to me that he is being more of a friend that a boss. Something needs to be done. I am very disappointed in the hiring of managers there. If it would have been done to a managers car , he/she would be getting to the bottom of it. I’m tired of my friends being treated like this in her place of work! It’s simply ridiculous and harassment.

Recently I went to fairly new DQ in Petersburg Il… First and last time I will ever go. The stench of cannabis that radiated from the young black gentleman there was horrible. I can not believe that a member of management could not smell it.. Until I seen the managers tag that said assistant manager.. And she walked up to the gentleman and her called her baby.. Ahhhh I see how this DQ rolls.. My order was. Made correctly I do give the pregnant girl credit for that but… I think some drug testing might be in order.. The loudness and horse pla . There is something to be desired.. Other customers were even commenting about the way the DQ had went to HELL in a year.. Sorry but when you have people like that working a business is bound to falling.

Ordered a kids meal and they forgot to give me the drink that went with it. Didn’t notice until my kid stated she was thirsty and I was almost home which was by that time was too late to go back and would be a waste of my gas. Also ordered the new confetti cake blizzard and it was just vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and no cake in it! Unbelievable. Waste of my hard earned money.

To whom it may concern:
I strongly feel that I need to address you about the situation I encountered today. On June 18, 2014, my family and I (a total of 5) went to Dairy Queen (55 29TH ST, WHEELING, WV , 26003-4161, 304-232-8990) to have a treat. There were two adults, one teen, and two children. We walked up to the counter to find approximately 6 employees, standing around laughing. We finally got a person’s attention; she came up to the counter, mumbling. There was so much noise, we repeatedly had to ask her what she said as she rolled her eyes. Besides the fact that she looked like she had just shot up a load of XXXXXXe and couldn’t stay focused, she was extremely rude to all of us. In the middle of taking our orders, she stopped and decided to shoot the breeze with other customers. Then, she continued to ask us again what we had said, acting as if it was our fault.
Now, let’s keep in mind this is not the first time my family and I have received terrible service at this Dairy Queen location. I was going to put all this aside, until we received our orders. I’ll begin with explaining my food. I ordered a small Heath Blizzard, made with chocolate ice cream. Unfortunately, I received a small Heath Blizzard with vanilla ice cream. Yes, I understand, mistakes happen. Chocolate ice cream is not the original kind that goes with this Blizzard. But, after all the rude service, my Blizzard was like soup. Next, was my 10 year old cousin. He ordered a small Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake. Unfortunately, he received a medium Mint Oreo Blizzard, which was also soup. Lastly for mistakes, my 8 year old cousin’s order. She ordered a small Chocolate Sundae. This order was correct, but I wish you could see the photos. It WAS NO SUNDAE. It was milk.
Now, I do not know if you have children, and frankly, that is none of my business. But, would you let your children, or any young relatives, eat THIS crap? This is purely disgusting. I did not go outside, I ate in. And this is what I received. To top it all off, the rude employee that took my order did not even give me a receipt. Honestly, I wanted to take my soupy Blizzard and dump it on the Dairy Queen counter. This is unacceptable. This Dairy Queen and its employees are a disgrace. I will never set foot in that restaurant again, and I am going to tell everyone I know about the ridiculous service they will receive if they go there. I hope you understand.
Sincerely,
Mia

I went to Dairy Queen a couple of days ago with my friends and we each ordered a blizzard. I had taken a couple of bites until I realized that the side of the cup said “downright thick” or something like that. So since it said it was so impossibly flip overable, I turned it over and my whole Blizzard fell out all over the carpet. Since it was said about the fallen blizzard, I went inside and asked if I could have another one because the Dairy Queen promise is that is so tip able. The guy said no so I went back out and slowly watched my blizzard slide down the sidewalk. I think that DQ should have a policy where if there is an substantial spillage than the person should get another blizzard or money off a new one. Also there needs to be a lot more of the extra ingredients blended in because sometimes when I go I just get $4 ice cream instead of a blizzard

Dairy Queen located at:
7715 S. Rainbow Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89139

Today 3 of my co-workers and I went to the location above to grab something quick to eat. This was my first at this location and we all were tramatized by our experience.
Two of the employees,a female and male, were involved in some personal argument.
The male (I believe his name was Adin) was pushing and shoving the young female and she was yelling at him to leave her alone. He kept at her to the extent of taking it outside and inside of the building as she tried continuously to get away from him. A male customer who was sitting down eating intervened and tried to keep him away from the young female.
There were words between the two males.
The male customer told the male employee to walk away or he would call the police. The male customer returned to his table but the male employee then proceeded to chase the female employee down the street and into the street with oncoming traffic. Several of the customers inside and outside of Dairy Queens became very concerned with the behavior of the male employee. We don’t know what occurred to start this argument but this is not something that should be tolerated at any establishment serving customers. Also, there seemed to be too many young people working there without any clear direction or supervision. The food took forever and was not very appealing. The ice cream was melting and food was cold by the time we returned back to work which is 2 minutes away.

I recently visited one of you stores in Pittsburgh, PA 15205 and was very disappointed! My fiance and I both got a blizzard to take home. Once we were home and ready to enjoy our ice cream, we realized we were eating straight vanilla ice cream which is not what we had paid for! I had ordered an Oreo cheese-quake blizzard and my fiance had ordered a peanut butter blizzard. Neither of them had any pieces of what we ordered in them. It was extremely disappointing and I’m not sure if we will return again as this isn’t the first time this has happened.

I love Dq, but the problem is I have to drive several towns over, that’s why I only go once or twice a year. I think headquarters should consider putting one in Southbridge Mass, you would increase your profit margins tremendously, as we have no good paces to go like that, yes there is a Friendly’s in the next town over but they have gone down hill in quality and up hill in prices for something I wouldn’t even feed my dog. And there are other towns close to us that would travel here, and there’s even a good spot for it, where a friendly’s was but closed due to lack of quality, and pricing. In the center of town right in the middle of main street. With your quality, pricing and service you would do exceptional here..
Spencer mass has good, quality, great prices, and great service, But too far away to visit too often.. Here could visit several times a week, and I gaurantee the whole town would too.

So a few night ago on 04/15/2014 we went through a Dairy Queen drive thru for some desserts. As we ordered our blast and was given to us. Mine was very melted can pretty much drink it with a straw. The guy at the Window said since it’s a banana split blast it’s supposed to be that way. My wife respond with, “I been to other Dairy Queens and it wasn’t like that”. The guy said,” well I don’t know what f***en Dairy Queen you went too but that’s how we make it here”. My wife asked for his name he said rick then we didn’t see him again. The other employee came and asked if we wanted another one. We said yes since we did pay for it. Then asked him what was the guys name he then said rich not sure what his name is. But we will no longer be customer’s at Any DQ again. This is no way to treat a customer, we were not rude nor did we give any reason for us to be treated like that. Like I always say. A person with a great experience at a place may talk about there wonderful experience to a handful of people but if they have a bad experience there they will tell every person they can tell. Hope this is fixed and maybe have more training for customer service there employees. The one we went to was at 6125 Spring Mountain road Las Vegas Nevada

My hubby went through the drive-thru tonight located at 316 South Power Rd in Mesa AZ tonight. March 21, 2014. He ordered a Grill Burger with Cheese combo meal and I ordered a Flame Thrower Grill Burger and we ordered two Hawaiian Blizzards. As I was eating my burger I bit into something strange. I pulled it out of my mouth it was a long blue bristle, like from a cleaning brush. I was so grossed out. I called down there and they said bring my receipt and they would either make me a new burger or refund my money. No, apology or anything. I sent my son down to just get a refund since I was already nauseated. All they did was refund my money. No apology or even any kind of incentive to try to keep me as a customer.
This is not the first time we have had problems with this location either. On one of our
last visits my husband found some kind of metal object, maybe a staple or something in his Iron Grilled Classic Club. That time we just had them remake his sandwich. They did also include a free meal for our next visit.
A couple of months ago we had nightly cravings for a large dipped cone dipped in chocolate so we either went to this same location on Power Rd in Mesa or to the location at 2300 W Apache Trail in Apache Junction AZ. The cones that came from the Apache Junction location the cones were 3 rings high and looked like a large cone looked on the websites. At the Power Rd in Mesa AZ the cones were also 3 rings high but they were very small. We to the Mesa location more often than the Apache Junction location because it is a couple of miles closer. Each time we said that we would travel the extra distance next time. But as a convienience we ended up going to the Mesa location. I am however fed up with that location. So I will not be returning there again. There are just way too many problems.
I cannot believe after all I had to go through tonight I did not even receive even an apology. Whomever is running that location totally sucks as a manager.
Being a manager of a fast food establishment once myself, I know what you need to do to keep your customers happy when they are not satisfied, especially with finding foreign objects in your food and that is not the way it is accomplished. They just act like it is no big deal!
