Just left your store in North Amherst, Ma, the clerk was sitting outside on his phone when I walked in, after I called out a couple of times I started to leave, at that when he decided to come back in, I said you work here and you watch me walk in and did not come in after and call him an idiot, he told me he did not work for me, that he works for Cumberland Farms and then follows me outside running his mouth, I got my truck and left and I will never go back to that particular store, guess I will have to start using the one on Route 9 unless I ever see him there then I will just stop going to Cumberland Farms in Amherst all together

Nearly every time (9 out of 10 times) I purchase gas at Cumberland Farms Store #6767, I DO NOT receive a receipt for my gas purchase.
This issue is very unfortunate, as I am entitled to a receipt without having to be inconvenienced by going into the store & waiting in line, just to be able to receive a receipt. i have spoken to an attendant who was a very nice young man & he stated that this is an issue at that store and also stated that many customers complain. When is someone going to address this issue. There are many other gas stations that would love to have my business. If this continues, I will complain to the local newspaper & also to the news media (troubleshooters). Remember, WE are the customers!

Worst customer service EVER! Loyal customer who uploaded Smartpay app, Continually get charged for rewards. Follow exact process- error on store clerks part. Good luck trying to correct their errors. Customer service NEVER answers. Get messages to leave message and they call back at their convenience – when you’ve returned back to work. This happens no matter what day or what time you call. You play phone tag for weeks. Hey, corporate, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

I have unrolled in your smart pay and am unrolling my family from you & ZipLines Predatory practices and your in ability to help me with them,. I charged a Cumberland (5586) $33.14 (I assumed they had my new account #) I recently had been broken into and had to change my bank account # as they got my credit cards and check book (and everything else i had). Zipline now wants to charge me 78.13 for a $33.14 charge. You (Cumberland farms) refused to help or even answer why they even let me charge after I closed and opened up a new account? In any event, they did. Can you answer why you would allow a closed account to charge??????????????????????????????? We called your offices and kept being told they would look into it and call us back. No call as to date and now Zipline is threatening to keep charging me interest until it is paid as well as trash my perfect credit rating. .. so I paid it today. I am a disabled veteran (your welcome) and live on a skimpy budget running out of food the last week of the month and eating out of soup kitchens. Your alliance with a predatory collector has taken what little I had for the rest of the month and cut into next months budget. I expect better from America but guess I have to get used to mega corporations getting their cash through predatory practices that rob the ones that need their money most. Your lack of help in the matter has caused me to never use Cumberland farms for anything at any time ever again as well as my family. I am a veteran with 100% disability thru the va. I have a service dog who helps me. He is 10lbs and gentle. The Cumberland farms store nearest my house has for the past 6 months (when I moved here). The manager of the store told me I could shop there with my dog. Today the clerk (who waited on me with my dog several times) says I can’t shop there with my service dog. I will not shop at any cumberlandfarms again. I ask that people put Cumberland farms on their do not shop at lists. I have been employed at XXXXberland farms for going on 7 months i was hired with beautiful purple and blue hair so many people liked my hair and my work ethic was at first very fast and friendly as it was my first job in a company and i wanted to do great. but then we found out just this last month that i could no longer have the colors so i dyed my hair to 2 normal colors even tho i wanted my hair to just grow out to its natural color, my hair is now black and blond and I was sent home and i didnt understand as i dont make a ton of money and had to borrow money from my bf to color my hair as i have 2 amazing animals i need to care for and an apt. with that said I think its silly on the companys half that you would fire or send someone home on how they look not how they work that is why its hard for you to find good employees any company to find good employees it is 2018 i think it should be more on how the people do there jobs and treat the customers looks are important but being sent home over something that silly just is heart breaking and kind of defeated my feelings of wanting to work for the company… would love to talk to someone who would want to discuss and or make some changes as I onced loved going to work

I’m horrified at the incessant level of abuse towards me coming from your employees at your store at 35 Belchertown Road in Amherst, Massachusetts. In no uncertain terms, Kate, a cashier there – needs to be fired, along with the manager, the guy working tonight May 1st at 9:30 pm when I went in. I had already filed multiple complaints about Kate’s never ending abuse of my including insulting comments and banging on my car window in the parking lot. It is a hideous experience at this particular store, while every other XXXXberlands store is pleasant. Despite already talking to Kathy Fahey about Kate and others singling me out for abuse, and the nervous sounding store manager angrily interrogating me by phone AFTER my complaint to corporate XXXXby’s.
It was the manager working tonight that previously told me, and he LIED – that is established .. that I had been banned over a time when all the happened is the store employees were abusing me, as I already discusssed with Kathy Fahey.
So tonight I go in for an ice coffee.. and they make me stand there for about five minutes while they debate whether or not they can take my $1.06 or somehow continue their psychotic fantasy that they need to be conducting some sort of war on a polite customer.
It is nuts .. insane .. crazy .. how these hater/employees rally together to make me feel uncomfortable any way they can, and even continue like they did tonight long after it was established that they should stop;.
After five minutes of Kate playing this silly ridiiculous game of refusing to take my $1.06, I went to the other register and the other cashier did the same.
My #1 point is I am sick and tired of of being singled out arbitrarily by people with psychological issues for abuse.
Kate and the guy working tongiht need to be fired.. but especially Kate because she has been an endless pest in all my experience as a customer there, which was well over 600 stops by now. For a while, about 6 months – I just stayed away from the store .. and eventually I complained, hesistant because I figured Kate would get fired for being so miserable to me.
The needless abuse of me will never stop until someone gets fired at this store. I have be pained enough.. there were at least 50 incidents where Kate said or did something to make me uncomfortable. There are other employees in the store who also come from the low-brow set – you would do well to fire them all. Kate arbitrarily chooses people to hate, and is pretty clearly nuts at that – and believes she has a license to harass and abuse anyone any way she sees fit, regardless that I’m a polite gentleman and ordinarily decent person. I did not attempt to explain the whole hideous story here .. it would be pages long – I am sick of being singled out for abuse at this store for no reason other than the mentally disturbed need of its employees to be the ugliest-hearted people you would ever expect to find in a public place.
I have already tried just not going to the store – but it crosses my dignity as a person to have to yield to psdcho-bullies.. so I complained to corporate, and now that are at it again upon my 2nd trip returning as a customer.. singling me out for needless abuse.
You have to fire Kate. And the guy working tonight who I think is the manager,.. he lied to me about being banned… and he was in the conversation that held me up tonight even though he should be aware that this was wrong. It is a simple transaction, $1.06 for a coffee. You have to make them stop…. this is just nuts as it it has been for about the past two years. I’m a kind, polite, friendly, mild mannered, intelligent, educated person – no one like me should be harassed and taunted for years by some random store employee like Kate. This has gone on far too long, I’ve already made an effort for it to stop – and it’s obvious to me it will never stop until Kate is fired… and again, that guy working tonight at 9:30… he’s in on it. I’ll try to get in touch with Kathy Fahey. You need to fire everyone in that store… all of them… there are nice people in the world eager to take their place.

I have to say I’ve put off e-mailing with this situation for a long while hoping the situation would fix itself, I really do not like to complain– HOWEVER, I am a frequent customer of XXXXberland Farms have Smart-Pay buy lots of lottery etc…. Problem is in your NORTH GRAFTON, MA location, I stop frequently to purchase breakfast I love your Tornado’s but they are never ready between the hrs of 5:30- 6:30 am which is a very popular breakfast item. I have brought this to their attention numerous times and been told I could get them and heat them up myself. They appear too lazy at that store to make sure customers are satisfield. I would like to continue to frequent that store which is close to my job please have a discussion with them regarding this issue. Breakfast should be available at that hour !!

Sharing with other employees and also let customers over hear this stuff. He was smelling like alcohol at 545 to 6 am in the moring today. He was putting down one of his associates name Josh about he does not know how to count. That also he came up with wild assumption about this same associate about scaring off a female customer that works out at the gym next door and them maybe goes off to work. I heard randy say to josh that “ He had scared her. Randy assumed to asked josh that he scare the women in gym clothes by say or doing something. Hello my name is Kaitlyn I was working at the XXXXberland Farms in west yarmouth (2268) ; yesterday Wednesday august 2nd ; I got pulled into the office by my boss Maydene she told me , me and another employee getting written up for a draw being short I got wrote up twice ; which ok fine So when I signed the paper it asked employees comment weather agree or disagree and I wrote job sucks yes I shouldn’t of said that but I wasn’t yelling swearing or being disrespectful to my boss that is my opinion and the reason I wrote that is because knowing I’m need Iv been there 3 and a half months ok so if I or anyone else has a draw short and it’s not because of stealing or dishing out money ( given customers more then the total says ) then when you find where it is short weather it’s the lottery etc they should be showing us what we did wrong and why draw was short so we don’t make that mistake again and get written up again ; I don’t think that is write ; yes I understand why I got written up BUT show me what I did wrong so I don’t do it again show me the correct way instead of not showing me and setting us employees to fail ! So when I wrote that comment NASA called me into the office and asked what I wrote and I told him and befor I could express my feelings in why I disagree he got close to my face and told me I suck and said it a few times ; he told me Iv been nothing but a problem and fired me ; I didn’t kno expressing my feelings you can get fired for especially when I wasn’t being disrespectful I wasn’t swearing or yelling so your gunna fire me because no one is showing me what I did wrong so I can prevent it from happening again ..I beyond busted my ass there I always got compliments, never had a complaint about me ; I went above and beyond I got everything done ; while others babysits the register I didn’t I did things that needed to get done ; so I don’t agree or think it’s professional or ok that a man is getting close to my face and telling me I suck , the write up asked for employees comment I mean I’m expressing my frustration that no1 is showing me what I am doing wrong to make a draw short I don’t think I should have been fired : yes I screwed up by selling cigs to a minor that’s what I get for letting my guard down ; I took full responsibility and have done nothing but prove my loyalty and that , that mistake will never happen again but other than that I tried very hard ; that place looks horrible when I get to work : we have had bad scores few times for trash overflowing outside , bathrooms being gross , almost all coffee empty ; it’s embarrassing when customers notice how much stuff I do there and make comments like thank god your hear all coffee is empty there’s no creamers etc I’m not trying to put myself on a pedestal but I really worked hard

this experience is about your Westerly store on Friendship Street in Rhode Island your regular workers who work in their everyday are amazing they are me and my dog were accosted buy a man who is upset about my dogs being in there my dogs are service dogs who are trained because of my PTSD and my dissociative disorder to help me interact with people without having severe issues such as blacking out or blackout panic attacks this man accosted me in my dog one of them when all she did was when he walked towards us was stood up to Greet him like she usually does with any person that walks towards us this man started swearing at me and at my dog to the point where the staff went outside and got his license plate number just in case there were any problems now I get called by their district manager after the man complained that my service dog attacked him and I had gone in a couple of days after with my dogs and was apologetically told by the staff I had to leave with them because per the general manager even though they were service dogs they were not allowed to be in the building anymore so I called him and then he returned my call in this call this man decided he was going to play the role of a psychologist and tell me that my dogs were not able to come into the store because Esa dogs didn’t count as service dogs and that perhaps I should go on medication so I call corporate I speak to his boss just day and then after I get off the phone with his boss the general manager of the Westerly store calls me back to argue with me about him saying or not saying that I should go on medication he was on speaker phone I have witnesses who heard what he said and if you look at the pictures of my dogs IDs that say service dogs it says federally protected and the acceptable diseases that service dogs can treat or help patients cope with alsoincludes severe PTSD and other debilitating mental illnesses my dogs are trained to help me cope and interact with other people rather than dissociating and blacking out so why is just my service animal being persecuted from this store and why is this manager allowed to speak to me like this and then after I speak with his boss allowed to call me and harass me when he’s the one I have the major complaint with how does that work. federally protected means by law telling me and my dog’s I can’t be there is a crime it is discriminating against those with disabilities and furthermore a manager in a managerial position should not be speaking to customers like that

XXXXberland Farms store 1542 in ROTTERDAM, NY. – My delivery rout ends a block away from this store at 2am. I have been delivering the same rt for 15years and always stopped in for 2 or 4 hot dogs and picked up our milk, bread, snacks and other items each time. Currently they do not keep the hot dog roller stocked at night and seldom have any hot dogs. The employees refuse to keep hot dogs on the rollers and refuse to cook them in the oven like they cook egg sandwiches and other items that are on a giant video menu over the counter. Hot dogs are listed on the menu and the menu states all items are available at any time. The employees know that all of us who do local delivery stop in at night for hot dogs and other items, yet they never put the hot dogs on the rollers. I have gone in and they have had 3 people working and they still refuse to cook hot dogs. I have walked into the store over 10 times in the past month and left mad because the employees are uncooperative and not helpful. I spend a lot of money every week at small stores because I finish work late at night. When I go there and can’t get hot dogs, you lose all my business, because I will not buy the other items and then have to go to another business to get something to eat. These employees have plenty of time to stand out front of the store smoking all night, but no time to meet the needs of the customers. I’m not complaining because I want something for free, I just want to be able to get items on your damn menu when I stop in. They will cook a pizza or hamburger, but they won’t cook me some hot dogs. From this date forward I will be complaining here, every time I go there and have to leave mad.

My family and I have been a customer of your stores for over 8 yrs now. We used to visit the Woonsocket store everyday until your manager Al went to the Blackstone Mass store. We love Al, But where at the point we wont go there unless he’s working or we see Betsys car is there.. I have had more than one problem with Ashley, if she ever puts here phone down long enough shed notice me standing at her register . More than once this has happened to me… When she used to open in the morning alone without Al it was terrible. There also is a girl at night named Serenna who is just as bad or worse Everytime at night shes either outside in her car smoking pot ( you can smell it) or shes got some drama shes talking about,, I don’t need to go in there and hear that. She also is always over in the corner hiding behind the lottery tickets on her phone. Sorry

I am a customer at the Wilmington MA XXXXberland farms not sure of the store number. I love everything about it I always walk in and and am greeted by an employee by the name of rob he always make me feel good about myself and has a great work ethic and customer service skills. There is one thing I don’t like about your store here though. An employee who is called red by the employees and customers. She is very rude, loud and swears a lot and treats people like she’s above them I do not like this treatment of the other employees and even customers I walked in and she was telling a customer to an I quote these exact words “shut the f**k up” I was mortified and my favorite employee rob was getting scolded by her for going to check something I later found out he is a type one diabetic and It finally hit me why she said and I quote again “it’s all in your head” if this is the kind of treatment your employees and customers get from her I don’t even now why she is still employed there this is unacceptable all I wanted was a coffee and I got belittled along with it. You need to do something about it or I’m afraid you are going to lose a lot of employees and even more customers I for one am never going back unless she’s gone. She is not customer service material.

I was at XXXXberlands in Stoughton at 11 tonight and asked the clerk for two packs of pa Mavericks , He asked for an ID , I am 59 years old .. I gave him an ID from the Veterans administration , He said it as not acceptable because he could not scan it . I told him to scan it and he did and he said nothing came up and he had to card everyone because it was state law . I had another customer buy them for me and that customer thanked me for my service .. I went home and checked the state law and it said

I can understand where your coming from, however, the otherside the reason this company REQUIRES the cards to be scabbed because its to authenticate if the card is real or fake, cause XXXXbys use ro get manu fake ids in the past. they started doig this when i worked at the 1st st store in pittsfield ma in 2009. however, they could have just verified the hologram also.. I too am a Veteran… 10 years Army. got gas at station on route 138 just oitside Taunton center—locked to fill, went inside to grab coffee—SMELLED STRONG GAS ODOR ON MY HAND—given wipes by cashier…went out to car, and gas had filled and shut off… pulled nozzle and suddfenly gas spurted out….onto my shoes and up to my knees ….left sizable pool on ground…went into store and told them they should shut #4 pump down—woman came out and simply asked if I had gone in the store while it was filling—–I was blown off…went home, changed clothes, went out—late in day called to see if any resolution….nothing…..WHY DID MY HAND SMELL STRONGLY OF GAS AT THE START? That pump will do it again to someone whether they are in the store or standing beside their car…#4 should be disabled and inspected as safety issue

I have been going to XXXXberland Farms on main road in Westport MA since they opened many years ago. I no longer go there because of the manager there. He NEVER has money to pay out lottery winners. I went to cash $100 ticket and was told he had no money to pay me, even though the person in front of me just bought over $100 in tickets! When I tried to buy tickets, every one I picked he said were not activated. For some reason, he doesn’t want to deal with anything to do with the lottery. He is extremely rude to customers!! There are only two parking spots in front of the store and he parks in one of them every day. Those spaces should be for customers only! I recommend that anyone in the area should go to Harry’s store on rte 177 where they are always nice to their customers and are always happy to cash your lottery tickets! I go 5 miles out of my way to avoid going to XXXXberland Farms, Main Rd. Westport MA

Poor employees . Any employee thar works with the public has to be a robot forced to smile and happy cause they aren’t human. They get verbal abused by their manages day after day then their rude customers that have problems and the cashier becomes their punching bag or therapist. you guys are shoveling it against the wind. Have you seen the commercial on television? That had to be approved by senior management. Anyone who would pay money and then approve that garbage does not care about their customers. With all the complaints I have read and nothing has been done, I rest my case. I am a long time customer of XXXXberland Farms stores in the New York Capital district. I love the coffee especially the iced coffee. The store I frequent most often is the store on Mohawk Avenue in Scotia New York where I stop in at least twice every day. The entire staff is amazing. I have never met a more hard working and courteous group of people. They always greet me by name whenever I go in and are always in a good mood even on the days when their delivery truck comes in and they have dozens of cartons to put away. The store is always clean and neat even on “free cofee Friday’s” during certain months. I could be having the worst day at work but I always feel better after visiting the store. I would single out individual workers but the fact is the entire staff including the manager are all great and the kind of people that I would want working for me if I owned my own business. They are a credit to both your company and my community and I would like to thank them all for being so nice.

I first want to start by saying when i was an employee of XXXXberland farms l 110% loved and did mdid my job correctly and very well. I loved working with most of the employees most of witch i trained them the right way too. Even though this one employee hates everyone every customer she always have something negitive or just darn out rude to the customers. She brings her personal crap to the store she can be tired and grumpy or mad and XXXXXXing and telling employees what she thi ks of u or yelling at customers so u know how her days off or the night before went when u greet her in am she will come off nice or mean depending on that mood she took into work with her so it sets u off for the day she doesnt like me she was jeolous of me getting promoted so fasr after i started do how great of a job i had for the store for helping my team mates even this one who said she was an assistant manager but i had asked district manager this location ill get to does not she got so mad and threatening me and everything else just cause i asked a question cause if there was potental i was hoping to keep doing good to have a chance myself as well if not there somewhere else XXXXberland farms has a huge outstanding amazing growth oppurnity and love to help there employees butalso has 100 million percent outrageous rewarding customer service well most stores most employees give and go above and beyound for a customer for an employee to help a my boss finish something might have a deadline team work is huge for XXXXberland farms .. Hello, just a suggestion, your XXXXberland Farm stores at 244 Washington Street in West Warwick RI and 478 Broad Street in Central Falls RI need a good POWER WASHING outside and inside, the stores are filty. They are never in order with making sure there are cups and other supplies needed for customers, the stand is always dirty where you make your coffee. You should consider extra staff to take care of things like this, because of how busy your stores are. If you do a drop in without notice of your coming, then you will be able to see for yourself what shape your stores are in. Clean up time. Thank you.

I used to work their but now I was fired very unprofessional by a manager who is very rude she talks about her employees I bet no one wondered why she got fired from Hannaford we lost customers due to her attitude she gets mad at customers about their lotto numbers she used me and I think because I tried to reach out to corporate she fired me I just had a baby boy and she not only hurt me but my son too some managers are great in the company but Phyllis quinbee is a rude and just talks about her employees behind their backs

I have been a dedicated customer at XXXXberland farms on Stafford road since I moved into the neighborhood 3 years ago and always treat the employees with . I was low on money today so I called and asked if they could accept $3.00 in pennies toward my purchase and he stated yes. So I paid for my purchase and walked to the back of the store and I over heard one of the employees talking about me and it wasn’t nice there were also customers at the counter and in the store so if I heard it from the back of the store everyone must of heard it It really upset me I then just walked pass the counter and out the door as I walked pass the counter I glanced at the employee and the facial expression was surprised to see me still in the store. I treat everyone with respect.

I don’t understand how anyone can down grade pennies. Money is money no matter how you pay. Yes, its annoying to get it but if that’s all you got then stop bashing people. I had forgotten my wallet at home and was on dead E gas and I had about 4 dollars in pennies, quarters and nickels and dimes and If one of them said anything to me about it I would of made a bad scene. I have to say I am very disappointed with my experience working for your company in the last few weeks, up until today. I was only hired on recently 12/11/2015 and from day one training was not done correctly, or at least fully. Sure, I had to go to the “Knowledge Zone” to do online instructional videos, but much of the everyday activities and duties this online training program does not cover, like the register setup, lottery, etc. Also, my username and information for the safe and login when i start my shift was screwed up from day 1 and never fixed. I let management know and the assistant manager at the College Street – Amherst, Ma location (store #6704) and it was still never fixed. I was forced to keep using the temporary store number login as nobody seemed to care to fix the problem. I also have not been able to get on to the UltiPro website via the employee app or on a desktop computer as it keeps telling me there is a problem with my account and I need to contact a system administrator, meaning i cannot view my pay stubs or print them out. I spoke to the manager Maria about this problem and she told me she has no control over this problem and to contact corporate. I have been trying to contact HR or somebody at corporate about this issue and nothing is being done. I am not able to access the HR Pay Zone to get copies of my pay stubs, which to me is very frustrating and frankly against the law to allow this to go on for so long. one week ok, but a month? A employee must be trained properly, must be able to access their pay stubs and personal information without computer network problems or incorrect information stored by said store managment, and mistakes with personal information that can lead to further problems down the road. I still cannot get into UltiPro to view my pay stubs and even think I have now be locked out. Another problem that backed this was the fact my name was input twice on the registers, one being with no spaces – my name then last intial, then another with a space, my first name and last initial, both being on the reigster sign ons, which to me is why the problems kept occurring with my login. another issue is that other co workers and assistant management kept logging me on before i came in or while i was waiting for them to finish Z-ing out their drawers.When I try to sign on the middle register at times the problem is, the middle safe wont accept either one or my passwords or usernames displayed on the registers, so i was forced while working over nights to keep using the temp password. I also have to say the manger of this place is very unprofessional at times when it came to being understanding about my second job schedule and what she believes i do and dont do in the store when she comes in early in the AM, blaming me for problems that are not my fault. Se kept telling me i should just know everything already instead of trying to understand what exactly i do not have training on yet and what i need work on. I felt i was being treated poorly when it came to the manger maria as she just expected me to know everything and ive only been there a month or so. During the day, the workers would do almost nothing to clean up the store or make sure things were done right and on time so that night shift (my shift) could continue on their own duties without having to clean up after the day shift. Many times the assistant manager and manager were on and seemed to not care or direct other employees on taking care of the store! I and another Co-worker who work nights constantly have to clean up after the day shifts and we fall behind on our duties because of it, other then the constant rush of customers. We should not have to keep cleaning up after others and then get yelled at by the store manager maria who never asks why this is occurring but only assumes and corrects us on what we did not do or not be able to get finished. I personally felt singled out by her after about a week and even though i explained to her my difficulties and that I’m trying to do my best with my disabilities she would constantly come back with a rude remark or assumption about me and my work flow. I explained to the assistant manger as well we have been experience high volumes of computer errors and time out errors such as “host unavailable” and “transaction timeout” on the registers. During peak rush hours this is a big problem as only two registers are open and at least one of the two workers who are on, myself and another, have to go out back to stock the coolers and take care of other duties while one person has to stay out front to tend to the store. during rushes, this becomes a severe problem and causes lines to build up and customers to get agitated. I for one have been using computers my entire life sense I was about 12 and i can honestly say I have never seen such issues with a stores computer system. It was very disappointing to say the least. Though some co workers were very nice and understanding, the manager was so understanding and at times just only cared about product being stocked, cooked, coffee brewed, etc even when i explained to her im going as fast as i can and being as efficient as possible while dealing with all the customers. No such thing seemed to occur over the time I have worked there. To have my personal login, and information handled in such a lazy manner and not being able to see my own pay stubs to say, maybe present to court for my child and child support, is disturbing to me. A court will not care if you cannot produce pay stubs, and the fact employees are paid with money orders and management cannot fix issues with a employees login information and incorrect information stored in their computer systems just shows how much that store at least, cares about their new workers. I have made some mistakes and i have owned up to them, but this morning on my night shift was the very last straw. I hated to do this but i quit. I again witnessed the computer freeze up and timeout on a transaction by a customer. this was simply unacceptable at this point as it is a ongoing problem at this store location. I made sure that transaction was complete with customer #1, and then attended to another customer (#2) on the second register as the first customer was still standing and trying to gather himself and his items. I double checked again to make sure it went through the register for customer #1’s transaction after dealing with a second customer (#2) on another register and it had indeed gone through. However, when returning from going out back to get a broom to sweep after completing customer #2’s transaction, my register came back with a “transaction timeout” error displaying the total of what the previous customer bought (Customer #1), and stating the transaction did not go through because of this error. This customer had already left, and after i spoke with saun the assistant manager, he implied I made a mistake somehow. when i explained to him again i made sure it was not my error but a error with the register or a network problem, he finally admitted outside to me he knew what that error was and that it could have been a bank error on the customers card. However I was still responsible for the lost transaction when all was said and done. Thats when I quit, explaining I have been making management and him aware of this problem. This is an on going issue at store #6704. many times in other situations the blame goes onto new employees while older employees can sit around and not clean or do their work during the day, so that the night shift has to pick up their slack. I myself, have not real issue as frustrating as it can be, but to be blamed by the stores manager time and time again while she allows others to get away with not doing their jobs is unacceptable and a sure sign I was indeed being singled out. She even wrote me up for a incident involving a customer leaving with a coffee and when i told her of this she said she would write me up without even asking what happened exactly, even though i explained it was indeed again a register server error as stated before. She however never showed me a written write up form, just said she wrote me up. At this point I realized I was pretty much going to be on the chopping block, and if maria did not like me could just randomly write me up. I felt that speaking to maria was pointless as she always has some justification for why she does and says what she does and that no matter what day shift did, it was ok to leave for only two people working on the night shift. I did not feel at all comfortable to be able to ask questions, without being told i should just know things already and feeling like i would be replaced. very poorly executed training program at the beginning, and when problems arose anagement would make me look bad right in front of customers. I enjoyed the job for the most part and i do feel bad I left in such a manner but that store does not feel like a team, it feels like a civil war and a “he said, she said” sort of atmosphere. some get along, some do not but the passive aggressive behavior by both management and some other employees made me feel like it was all about profits, and making up for work others failed to do, rather then caring about the employees and working as a real team. I even filled out a online form stating I had disabilities, one being Attention Deficit Disorder and Anxiety and sense the form never asked me in detail what disabilities, i stated I had them. This seems to have been ignored even when again it was brought managements attention, and as long as they were understanding I would eventually be a great asset to the company. Sadly, I was not treated with the respect i feel a new employee should be treated as well as other employees should be treated. It’s one thing If i just am not the right material for the job, it’s a totally different story when your being treated this way and when you talk about it, its pretty much “suck it up” attitude. It felt like every morning I would be cussed out for what wasn’t finished regardless of who’s responsibility it was to finish before my shift, and the fact we have endless waves of customers in between duties seems to go ignored. I did my best and I felt for the most part I did a wonderful job. Even when management didn’t also do their part or get the facts straight, i did like them to a point and i tried to get past these issues. However, I feel corporate needs to care a bit more about each individual store not simply for profits and customers, but for employees. When management makes mistakes like this, and nothing seems to get done about it for many days, months, or years, that tells customers and current employees they are expendable and money is top priority. If hands on training was the way it use to be rather then sit in front of a computer screen and be expected to just remember everything, things may go smoother for those employees who have a harder time catching on. I enjoy going into the store as I was a previous customer for many many years, but after working at this one location i feel much needs to be taken into account of each stores ability to manage, and not just treat complaints by customers or past employees as possible bitter taste in ones mouth. without a team that works together and can communicate, the store falls apart and when the store falls apart, the franchise and company fall apart. Again, I may not have handled this properly near the end but I did try to do so prior with management. I still need to receive my pay stubs for the dates of 12/11/15 to 1/19/2016.

I would like to thank the (I think) manager at the store in Glens Falls NY #1610. I stopped this morning to fill by tank with gas and thought I lost a key card there. I called and he took the time to run out to the pump I was on to look for it. Most people wouldn’t have bothered. Kudos to him!!!!

You really need to focus on improving customer service skills with your employees as well as looking at revising/explaining one of your policies.
I am elderly and stopped at one of your stores in Oxford, MA and asked my niece to run in to pick up some scratch tickets for me which I was buying for my husband. She told me that she didn’t have her license on her but I said that I’d park right in front of the door so they know the tickets are for me. She went in and was told they were out of one of the tickets so she opened the door and told me. I told her another type to get. Your associate witnessed all this. My niece then started to tell her what tickets I wanted and the girl asked for an ID. My niece told her she didn’t have it with her. The associate then told her “well I guess you need to leave then”. By the way, the associate knows my niece and knows that she is well over 18. I went in to the store and was told that I couldn’t buy them either because I was with her and it’s policy. I said I would speak to the Manager and the girl said “go right ahead”. I left and told my husband that they wouldn’t sell the tickets to me. My husband is ill but now he had to go to the store. When he got there he asked her what her name is and she replied, “what’s your name”. He then asked for the tickets and she told him that he would have to go to the other cash register. (which had a line of people waiting).
A policy is put into place for a purpose and this situation was not the purpose. It was well known that I was the one buying the tickets and Shelby (the associate) has a vendetta against my niece because she wouldn’t date Shelby’s brother. Not only was I inconvenienced but my husband was as well.
I will never step into that store or buy gas from a XXXXberland Farms store unless something is done with your rude and disrespectful staff. Customer Service training is highly suggested because there are so many convenience stores and gas stations in the area. People are not going to submit to this kind of treatment.

You know I don’t usually complain much, but enough is enough. You have a store that opened a few months ago in North Adams, Ma. on Rt. 8 across from Walmart. It a great facility if you don’t count the people working there. I stop every day at about 1:00 pm on my way back to work. At a minimum they are out of coffee three days a week. You have one woman trying to run a cash register with anywhere from 5 to 15 people standing in line, while 2 or 3 other dopes stand around trying to figure out who is or isn’t working. Today was a total fiasco. The woman couldn’t figure out how to work the lottery machine causing an absurd backup while we all waited. One idiot tried opening another register which they couldn’t manage to do. Seriously someone needs to do something about this place. Feel free to contact me. I’ll be more than happy to point out the clowns that are the problem at this place.

Hi, I wanted to send a quick note of praise regarding an employee of XXXXberland Farms. I should start out by saying that I am a daily XXXXberland farms customer (sometimes multiple times per day) and the outgoing, friendly customer service this employee displays is second to none. Her name is Venice and she works at the Wethersfield CT store on the Berlin Turnpike. Venice knows that my wife and I recently had our first baby and she has been after me to bring the baby in to the store so she could meet him. Venice told me her work schedule and I brought the baby in to meet her today. When I came in Venice disappeared into the back for a second and came out with a baby gift for my child! I could not believe that someone would go out of their way like that. It was truly touching. I can not pretend to know what it is like to own/manage a store like XXXXberland Farms, but if I did, Venice is the type of person I would want at every one of my stores. She goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome and from what I have seen, always has a smile and a positive attitude. I do not know who reads these type of messages but hopefully it finds it’s way to the right person. So, thank you XXXXberland Farms and thank you Venice for making a simple stop into a connivence store so enjoyable.

I have been a consumer at XXXXberland farms for over 10years. I’ve never had a single complaint in those 10 years until now. I was just in a store 506 Main street Sturbridge, MA 01566 and I went to purchase a lighter. She asked me for ID and i replied to her that she asks for my ID every single time i come into the store and she replied in a disgusting manner, as if i insulted her. I gave her my ID and she snatched my ID out of my hand then threw the card back at me. She then proceeded to talk about me to another employee in front of my face. I confronted her and said there was no need to talk about me especially me being a customer standing right there. Not only she insulted me by throwing my stuff at me she started yelling “if I didnt like shopping here I can go to another store”. I have never been more upset as a customer. This has been by far the WORST experience in any store i have ever been too.

He is extremely rude to customers and on one recent occasion he enjoyed making fun of a woman who was paying with loose change…probably all she had. My husband and I went to the XXXXberland farms at 454 Riverside Ave in Burlington vt we went to put gas into our truck and my husband pushed the grade he wanted to put in our truck and he waited almost 10 to 15 minutes before he had to go in and ask what the problem was an the worker named Bill how was on register and said to my husband that he had to prepay for his gas before he could put it in and my husband said to bill that there’s no sign that says that you have to prepay before. For the past month or so I’ve been in the Williamsburg store once sometimes twice a day ( spending about $20.00 each visit). Each time I left the store I seemed to be shaking my head for one or more reasons- under staffed, incompetent staff, complete lack of management… Ex. For some reason I let it slide off?!? Which is unbelievable to me because I’ve been in Customer Service for over 20 years. But, today…. My Ass was Completly Frosted when I was scolded for cashing in a $100.00 scratch ticket I purchased there!!! I love Williamsburg and get its a small, close-knit community, but stop the social hour W the locals and train your staff!!!!!

The service at migeon avenue in torrington CT is horrible. The manager doesnt treat her employees with respect and she has them working off the clock for like a half hour to an hour at a time. The employees are always on their phones and are just generally rude and obnoxious. I will never go to that store ever again. Im one customer that cannot tolerate that behavior. Something needs to be done at that store like management and better employees

On July 26,2015 my granddaughter and I stopped in at the XXXXberland Farms on the north end of Barre VT She went in to get some water and I put gas in my car. After the tank had filled the gas pump would not shut off at first gas went all over the side of my car and also all down my right leg and foot. I went in and told them what had happened so that they could get it cleaned up outside and requested to use their bathroom so that I could wash off the gasoline that was all over my leg and foot. They said that they did not have a public restroom and would not let me use it even when I explained why they had me speak to the manager and he also said NO! He said that there was a little sink that I could wash up in and he showed me where it was and the soap dispenser would not work and he could not get it fixed I informed him that I was a diabetic and really needed to get it off of my skin but he would not budge! I will never again go to that store because there was no excuse for the way that they treated me!! My granddaughter and I went back to the car and I found some hand sanitizer in my car and cleaned off the best that I could.

I have been going to this store for eight years. The new people you hired are rude and disrespectful. Tuesday morning your cashier made a girl Sunday morning i asked for a muffin and the coffee person was rude. I said the store is backed caan you toast the muffin for me. She started yelling that i wanted to skip the line and i said there is over thirty people in here . how the cashier gone toast what i want and serve the people. The sink was very dirty. It was so dirty I did decided not to buy coffee and I was very tired. Yesterday, I went to the XXXXberland Farms store located on main Street, Fairhaven, MA to fill y tires with air. However, after losing 1.00 in quarters when the machine did not work, I explained my situation to Mike who is the day manager there. He used his own money in the Tire Pressure Machine and got the device to work. He then began to fill each of my tires with air. I told him that it wasn’t necessary, but he told me that he didn’t mind because I was a “steady, good customer of his”. Wow! You don’t get service like that anymore! I was really impressed by his kindness and willingness to assist . Now that is hat I call superb customer service and going above and beyond! Thanks, Mike!

I have been a cubes customer for a very long time and I spend a lot of money in that place I went to the local cubes and I don’t know what was wrong with the manager but he was so rude to me my children. I got my usual ice coffee and he apparently was getting ready to brew a new one and he looked at me when I went to use one and he said what’s wrong with that one pointing to the one next to it. Then someone next to me grabbed a small cup and all them came flying out the holder and he picked them up after saying f**ck right near my 2 small children and placed them back after being on the nasty flore. Then I needed sugar and was scared to ask him for some but I did ansndsk he threw it on the Counter. I will never return to that store I was embarrassed.

About a week ago my boyfriend and I went to a XXXXberland farms in western ma. My bf asked for a boost mobile phone card and payed with a debit card. The cashier for some reason charged him for a t mobile phone card.. Which is completely different. He then had to pay for the right one and the cashier then told him that he voided it out and it wouldn’t charge him. Well it did! He went back and the cashier then told him that he had to wait till the next day for a manager since he wasnt trained on how to refund it. We went back the next day to be told again that the manager wasnt there and wouldn’t be till Friday morning. We work Monday thru Friday 5-5 and were told the manager works 5-2.. Shouldn’t there be a manager there at all times?!?! Anyways we went Friday morning having to miss some work to be told that the money won’t be back for 3 business days and there’s nothing they can do. We then called the corporate number and asked them to fax over the voided transaction so the bank could give us back our money. The lady we talked to was very rude and the stuff she faxed over wasnt complete, the bank told us they forgot a few “details” for them to release the hold on the money. I work for a very well known business as a manger and we always need to have a manger on also when a transaction gets voided its returned to the customers card right away. It’s been 3 business days and its still not there!!! Now we have to be late on a bill because your employee screwed up and we are the ones who have to pay the late fee not you! This definitely changes my view on XXXXberland farms!

After I embarrassingly gushed about how great the Summer of Hoff was all of my family I get have to take it all back because of my complaint with the smartpay program at XXXXberland Farms.
My checking account was compromised and was told to close it. I tried updating my bank information on the smartpay website with no luck. Tried emailing customer service at smartpay. No response. Gave up. Two Years later I call to try and see if I can get this to work. Smartpay tells me there was nsf of $61. There was a smartpay purchase that apparently took a few days to clear after I closed my account. Honest mistake. They give me a number to call to pay it. That is all she could tell me. It was a collection company!. A few days later I get a letter from them and it showed up on my credit report. This only happened because I called to update my account. Dispute with the collection company went nowhere. Why was I not contacted two years ago? Procedural fail.

I just want to say, I used to work for XXXXberland Farms, I started working in the Williamsburg, Mass,store Karen Galvagni was my store manager, I have to say she is awesome, and cared about her store, customers, and employees. She taught me alot, I relocated to Florida, stayed with the company worked on Bumby Ave in Orlando, than transferred to Clermont, before they closed(that was a sad day)considering the store and property still sits empty, Greg Williams was my DM, had my vehicle not died I would still be with the company in the Port St Lucie area. So I must say between Karen as a store manager and Greg as a DM from Mass to Florida your management staff are very passoniate about their job and staff.

I have been a customer of XXXXbys for many many years, I love the new stores, the offerings and the prices. A fantastic model.
I have recently notice a problem though, some of the locations in Massachusetts are charging more sales tax than allowed by the state. This needs to be changed. If you want to charge more for your items, I don’t have a problem with it, but it’s illegal to overcharge sales tax to your customers in an attempt to scam extra monies.
Please rectify before additional steps need to be taken.

I go to your stores frequently. Often I am given a free coffee and thanked for my service, as I am a Paramedic. Today I was told that “only people who put their lives on the line” get a free coffee and then they read the list off to me. I was very disappointed with this and surprised at the response I received.

I was an emplyee at XXXXberland farms on del rio and California ave in port st Lucie fla. Had to quit because the assistant manager was prejudice she mistreeted me in front of customers and the customers noticed …one customer came up 3 weeks after an incident when the assistant manager yelled at me in front of everyone and told me she called to report how she was mistreating me….I was in shock but I’m glad people noticed….One day the assistant who’s name is Nancy we were having a conversation when she tells me she “hates Haitians …and gay people even though her niece is gay she says” I knew right away she disliked Spanish people also by the way she spoke about them….and I’m Spanish….there is another employee there by the name of Ellen who disliked me and spoke down on me and cursed at me and stuck out her middle finger at me ! Don’t understand how this goes on and nothing gets done about it ..I spoke to the district manager but of course there short staffed so they stick together for obvious reasons …this won’t end here I’m going forward with this I need justice done.

Stopped at a XXXXberland farms on 10th and kirk rd. Was charged on my debit card shown on cashiers reg not aoproved but my card was charged $5.00 then $16.00. When called my debit card. Asked for a manager was told by cashier which there was 3 on premiums for a manager and they all said no manager on duty that he was on vacation. How u going to run a store with no manager.

I was at your XXXXberlands store located at the intersection of rt.19&20 in Brimfield Ma.on Fri. May 9th. At around 9:45 pm. I wanted to buy a forgetaboutit wrap , chips, snickers bar and a fountain soda also a pack of Winston cigarettes and $10 worth of gas..all I had on me was a $50 bill..the woman working got huffy with me and told me she couldnt break the $50 that she had just came on and didnt have enough money in the register to break it..I told her I was about to run out of gas and she started to yell at me asking me what I wanted to do about it..I told I wanted her to take my money..she became even ruder and yelled at me more..Im not sure what the exact price total would have been for everything but was close to $25…so she didnt have $25 change in her register..seemed ludicrous to me..so that being the only money I had I took the money off the counter and went to leave and she started screaming at me that I owed her the money for the fountain drink that I left sitting with everything else…how was I supposed to pay for it? I left and got a mile away and had to walk in the rain with a gas can to Palmer Ma.to your location there where they kindly broke the $50 for $3.00 worth of gas..I will never stop at the Brimfield location again as long as that woman is working..she was the rudest attendent I have ever had to deal with!!

Good morning. I wanted to bring a situation to your attention. This morning I went to your store #132 in Spencer, Mass. I sent my daughter to get 5 packs of cigarettes which her valid ID expired. So my husband went in with his drivers license. She refused to sell him the cigarettes. He’s 54 years old. She was extremely rude and literally told him to “GET OUT OF HER STORE!” I will never shop in your store again. I spend approximately $300.00 a month in cigarettes alone. I will also inform all my friends of this situation. The cashier also did not have her name badge visible. I own my own business and if she worked for me she would be replaced. Money situations are bad enough without your employees driving your customers away.

I live in colchester, vt and my local store is XXXXberland farms on college prk way. First of all when i cone into this store im greeted at least twice. To come into a store and have a smile put on my face and leaving the store laughing is very awsome. This stores employees take pride in their jobs giving 110%. They value their customer making each and every one of us feel welcomed and special. Besides this the store is very clean and presentable, its nice to walk into a clean smelling fresh bathroom. The foods great and thd coffee is very fresh. How ever i feel that store manager should apreciate his employees alot more and becareful what he says about XXXXbies issues infront of customers and also to have sone respect for his empliyees ..best employees at this store with excellent customer service of all time is Marry, Sierra, Brandy, Jeff, Sean and Matt thank you for making our days complete every time we go to XXXXbies.

I have a commercial property, building about 5,000 sq f and land about an acre. Corner property locate in between 2 town in a busy road and off RT-8 exit. It was approved years back for a gas station. I really think XXXXberland Farms would be ideal there. The nearest gas station is 3 miles north and 5 miles south..

about a week ago i did not get a e-check, and was stuck in Bennington with no gas. i got change from my car and brought it in to the cashier. she did a fake look of surprize, with wide open eyes and said $1.37, that’s all. i did not miss the fact that she was purposely rude. your employee made it so i was sorry to go to XXXXberland farms. today at about 6;30 i made a purchase, with the same cashier. (blond woman with face piercings and,tatoo covered chest). my change was two cents, she asked if i wanted my two pennies. when i said keep them she replied maybe you will need them for gas. reffering to earlier in the week. i go to XXXXbys daily, i am nothing but nice to your employee’s. i understand there job can be difficult, i worked across the street at the shell.”TWICE I WENT TO XXXXBYS AND WAS SORRY”, because of the same person not caring how i might feel about her remarks. i always shopped across the street, because you had lousy coffee before farmhouse blend. i have no plans of switching, stores again. i have been going to XXXXbys long before that woman worked there and, will be after. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………if i do not receive a response, i will have my own assumptions as to how you want your customers treated.

I spend about 10 dollars a day not any more they don’t even offer you a bag or ask If you need one .they had a employee there from Australia he had manners and he was polite. I hope it changes .

I live in Newport RI and go to your XXXXb. Farms store practically every day and can never park, its on Broadway and there is a lot of construction going on on the street and it seems that the employees park in the yard and there are no spaces for cust. to park. Please have something done about this cituation. thanks
