Cotton Patch Cafe was founded in 1989 in Nacogdoches, Texas, by Larry Marshall and Mike Patranella. The company operates a chain of Tex-Mex food restaurants, mainly in Texas and New Mexico. As of 2015, the company had 45 restaurants in 3 states.
In February of 2016, Altamont Capital Partners acquired the successful chain of restaurants. At this time, there are no plans to change the name or to change the current executives.
Cotton Patch Cafe was designed to offer made from scratch cooking to local communities. The company still uses many of the same recipes and meals which they began with in 1989. Many locations, especially the first few, were decorated by the owners wives, who used items they bought at thrift stores and county fairs, in order to give each location an “at home” feeling.

My husband, Joe Cosimano, is a server at the Cotton Patch in Temple, Texas. For the past several months he has been having an affair with another server. Little does she know, he is also sharing pornographic images online with another woman. I just found this out last night. I confronted him and he is now afraid that I will be showing up and the restaurant. He is refusing to give me her name, but she has brown hair, big t*ts, and a tattoo across her chest. The manager, Wendy, is letting him learn all aspects of the restaurant for a possible management job. I’m just curious to know how Corporate Cotton Patch feels about the marital affair?

I had a pick-up food order ready at 5:30 pm, today, at the Wylie Cotton Patch Cafe. I arrived on time. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I called inside a second time. They asked me for my order so they knew what to look for. They said they’d get it out to me ASAP. After another 30 minutes of waiting in their parking lot, I called inside again. They asked me to give them my order again, so I did. I then asked to speak with the manager. The manager also asked me for my order. A few minutes later, she emerged from the restaurant to talk to me. She explained that they were really busy today with a special they were running & that they would not be able to give me my order. She offered to refund my credit card, but that never happened. I asked her why she just didn’t give me the food I ordered, instead. With a straight face she said it was because she “could not guarantee that my order would be ready within a reasonable time.” I guess she was a manager in name only — lacking the managerial power to effectively deal with a problem. Long story short, I drove off at 6:47 pm — more than an hour of waiting in their parking lot for absolutely nothing — no food, no refund, no effort whatsoever to make it right by their customer — just a great big nothing from the inept Cotton Patch Cafe manager & her staff. Tomorrow, I plan to report their fraud to my credit card company in order to get my money back. I should also send the Cotton Patch Cafe a bill for the hour of my time that they wasted. As a teacher I make around $35 an hour!
In all seriousness, I did not realize that it was possible to be so lacking in knowledge, skill, and ability — so disrespectful of the customer’s time & hard-earned money — and so callous toward at least trying to satisfy the customer with quality service. It’s like you don’t know what you are doing — or don’t care.
I was a good customer until this evening.

Hello. I got chicken and dumpling at the Burleson Store. The portion size was so small on every item for 1000.
I got chicken and dumplings at cracker barrel that was very large portions on every item plus 2 cornbread for 1000. I am so unhappy with cotton patch. I don’t think i will ever go back.

I took my family to eat at your Palestine, TX restaurant. We have always enjoyed dining at Cotton Patch mainly in College Station, TX.
Wow, we made a bid mistake by stopping at the Palestine location on Saturday December 28, 2019.
The Steak fingers were chewy and had grizzle in them, same with the chicken fried steak.
Wanted you to know
Thanks

I wanted to make someone aware of the visit to one of your locations, 461 E I-20, Arlington, TX 76018 today, August 8, 2019 around 1:35 P.M. My initial thought when I pulled up was “Wow it looks busy for this time of the day” I thought I had missed the majority of the lunch crowd. I parked walked in I see several people standing around the To Go waiting area as if they had been waiting for a while. Three of the people there were people who worked for the same company I work for and I knew by observing their badges. We only have 30 minutes to 1 hour lunches so for me to come in and have time to talk to all the people waiting before anyone even acknowledgement from your establishment was shocking. There girl quickly said as she was rushing off “I’ll be right with you”. Five minutes pasted I’m still chatting with the same people who I may add had previous phoned their orders in.
I then asked the lady at the bar for a manager, he was actually rushing by he stopped with hesitation already on the defensive looking very much like he was having a bad day and frustrated. I went to ask about getting someone else to assist with the to-go orders. His tone escalated he told me it’s only one person working the to-go line and she’s working as fast as she can and that everyone has a job to do. When ask if someone else can help he began the sentence with “LISTEN” okay this man was very rude and in equipped to resolve an escalated customer service issue in your establishment.
I go to Cotton Patch for lunch because it close to my place of work and we get a 10% corporate discount yes usually I call my order in and I don’t have any issues with time or customer service. It only takes one bad experience to ruin it and then you tend to tell everyone you come in contact with about it. Today I didn’t eat lunch because my lunch period was wasted at your establishment

I’ve worked for cotton patch cafe for a year and a half. I’ve worked so hard for this restaurant every shift and I help other people. I go above and beyond for the company but as soon as people start stealing from me nothing is done about it and I don’t appreciate it. I just get looked at like I am a joke. A always reliable and respectful employee does not just start pretending to be stolen from. Everybody knows everybody else’s computer numbers which is not helpful in these situations. I’ve had plenty of compliments on my service but just get treated like a joke. I made over 50$ one night and left with a dollar. My cash out said that my credit card tips were around 60$. A second time I made 100$ one Sunday morning and my credit card tips were 71$ and I left with 30$. Tonight I made at least 30$ and left with 8$.

My wife and the 2 neighbors went to the Cotton Patch in Cleburne Tx on June 11th. After finishing their meals, my wife took her elderly neighbor out and her daughter gave the waitress my wife’s debit card to pay for my wife’s meal. The debit card was a new one. The next morning, after looking at our bank statement, I found charges for $75.34 separate from the meal charge, using paypal from my wife’s debit card. It was the only place she used her new card. Wells Fargo flagged it and sent me a text. We had to cancel her card and order a new one. The debit card was given to the waitress with the name Kelly D. This is what was shown on the receipt. Might be something to look into. In the meantime, we will not be eating at any of your restuarants in the future.

Not only was I not impressed with the food, but apparently y’all’s staff is known for stealing! Yes, stealing. I guess the cash tip I left wasn’t good enough for your waiter. He, or one of them decided to add a $5 tip after I left to my credit card transaction. My meal was $29.39. My card is showing a charge of $34.39. I will be reporting this to my bank! Shame on y’all

I went to pick up dinner at the college station TX location and our server was a young girl named Jordan. Jordan carried on talking about smoking weed in her car at work to other employees. She said it pretty loudly. I thought this was a family restaurant. Why are immature, unprofessional kids working here? Maybe she needs a class on manners in the workplace!! How embarrassing for customers to here.

We just left the Cotton Patch at 2320 west Loop 250N in Midland Texas . Horrible service , and the food was worse . When our appetizers came out burned we should’ve got the hint then and just got up and left . The rest of the meal was horrible too . What a waste of money . We should’ve refused to pay for our meal but we will not be back .

I went to the cotton patch cafe in Abilene, Tx. My experience there was by far the best service in any outing ever. We where seated by the most professional host by the name Mo. He sat us and asked if we needed anything before our server came to our table. Judy was our server and she was very attentive and professional. Seeing that our last visit was terrible. We gave it another shot and it was amazing. While waiting on our lunch to be served, Mo was seating other tables, cleaning tables, getting food out, and making sure not only where we ok but the other tables where as well. In my experience of waiting tables and hosting. Hosting is just for seating people. He went over and beyond his.position. You could tell he absolutely loved his job. I called in to let the manager James on duty know how pleased we all where. These 3 deserve a raise and even a applause. Thanks to the 3 of you, I will be able to enjoy my new favorite place again.

Quite often when we come to this cotton patch in North Richland Hills off of Davis Boulevard the portions are small and now it seems they’ve gone to dark meat in their chicken and dumplings and they’re getting more cheapskate. .. Golden Chick Chicken Express you receive a good portion that usually gives an extra piece if 1 of the other pieces might be a little smaller..not like that at Cotton Patch.. all you’ll get is the small pieces as part of the four count of chicken strips

My daughter is an employee at cotton patch. She is also full term pregnant and still continues to bust a** at work! She had done such a good job the other night that the customer and his wife left her an amazing tip, also with a kind note telling her to have a Merry Christmas! Cotton patch decided they would steal her money and tell her that it’s company policy that the wait staff cannot receive anything over what the customers total amount of the ticket is. Well, who the hell are they to decide what the customer does with their money? And WHERE THE HELL DID THE REST OF THE MONEY GO THAT IS OWED TO MY DAUGHTER? $67 to be exact!! Isn’t that a policy that needs to be in the handbook? I’m pretty sure it’s illegal otherwise.

We love your restaurant! Come to Carlsbad, our economy is FAR better than Clovis or Hobbs and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to prove it. Carlsbad is in the middle of the Delaware basin and is the new oil and gas capital of the Permian Basin. Housing and building boom is going on. 10 new hotels build in last five years and three are under construction or in City’s permitting today. Last year, 500,000 people came to Carlsbad to see Carlsbad Caverns National Park!! Even though our population is in the 60,000 range within 20 miles of town, we can’t get good sit down restaurant like you all, Pappadeux’s, Cracker Barrel or Applebee’s here.
Plenty of new fast food restaurants. Dominos pizza is fifth best of its chain in entire country. Wendy’s is highest sales in region, Chili’s, McCalister’s, and Bdubs are always extremely packed with waiting when you visit almost every night.
Please come to Carlsbad NM & take a look!

Me, my husband and two friends went into the Hobbs, NM location today 10/21/17. First off the host at the front door,African American male, couldn’t count 4 adults with 2 children? I let him know 6.. we asked for high chairs, which he put us at a booth and couldn’t have them there. We finally received our food, sides were cold so we waited on new ones. We were already very frustrated with our over all experience, when my friends husband found hairs(multiple) in his food. We waited on a manager or our waitress and no one came. That’s why we did not pay our bill. Our waitress was fine, but even the manager we spoke with about our sides, laughed at me when I was explaining our situation with the front host. I would like y’all to know The experience over all was the worst experience I’ve ever received in a food place. We will not be returning either.

Went to Cotton Patch, Aug. 17,2017, took almost 1 hour for the food to arrive at the table, the food was horrible, (wouldn’t give it to a animal that was almost dead. The new dinner looks dirty, unfit to eat in, the racket noise is unbearable and service was very slow. The food looked like slop on the plate as if no one cared about how the food look on the plate. My husband and I had the steak fingers with french fries, the fries were under cooked and the steak fingers were over cooked. I offered the manger my recipe for steak fingers. This is a new Cotton Patch for Hobbs, NM been open about 2 months or so. It was my 2nd time there and it is my last time to eat at this dinner. Our server was very nice to us, helped us to get back to a good mood. He was the only thing at the dinner worth keeping. The manger did her job, gave us a discount for our supper, yet still that dosen’t correct the problem Cotton Patch has with their food and buildings. False advertising about your southern cooking, no one in the south would never serve food this horrible to anyone in any way, shape or form. Either correct this horrible food problem or close your doors before you kill someone with your food.

The Wylie Texas location needs serious restructuring! The service is horrible and no one has a clue as to what they are doing, My husband had to send a steak back 3 times because it wasn’t cooked properly, he finally got fed up and just ate it. The wait for the food is over an hour at times. My daughter was hired at this location as a hostess and is told regularly to clock in as a server! This way she is paid $2.10 an hour instead of minimum wage. They have done this to many employees at this location. Managers trying to cook the books to make their labor costs look better… ILLEGAL…. HELLO, Cotton Patch corporate, someone needs to come down here and clean the house and start over because what you have now is not working in any manner!

I ordered Chicken fried chicken. When it arrived it had a 5 inch hair across the chicken and mashed potatoes. They took it back to the kitchen. A couple minutes later the manager came out with a plate. It was the same chicken and mashed potatoes that I had returned. I am pretty confident that the manager knew they had just removed the hair and moved them to a smaller round plate. You really need some integrity in you ranks at the Denton Hwy location. I understand that hair can end up on a plate. That’s understandable but to serve it back to the customer is very bad business and just despicable.

CPC in Wylie – Ordered from home at 6:06 pm for carryout $35.00 order. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at 6:30 pm. I received food from counter @ 6:56. Told the manager their time estimates were off. Had to ask for bread & a glass of water b4 I left. When I got home found I was missing the desert I had paid for and had no salad dressing for my salad. Not impressed, If you are trying to loose customer share you got a good start.
