Forman Mills Corporate Office

Richard Forman started Forman Mills in 1977 with an $80 loan from his father.

He began to sell sportswear and sweats in a local flea markets on the weekends with this money.

Four years later, in 1981, he opened his first store in Philadelphia.

In 1985 Forman opened his first superstore in a warehouse in Philadelphia. This new type of store was called the Forman Mills Clothing Factory Warehouse and had 16,000 square feet of retail space.

From 1989 to the present, the chain has grown to include stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Michigan.

Virgin Mobile USA is a prepaid wireless service in the United States and Puerto Rico and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sprint Corporation.

Virgin Mobile offers prepaid voice and messaging services.

Virgin Mobile was founded in 2001 by a joint venture of Virgin Group, Sprint Corporation, and Singapore Telecommunications, Ltd. and started operations in 2002.

In 2009, Sprint Corporation bought out the other joint venture partners and became the sole owner of Virgin Mobile. They license rights to use the Virgin Mobile brand name from Virgin Media, which is based in the U.K.

They work with 40,000 retail locations and provide service to 6 million customers.

The company moved its headquarters location from New Jersey to Kansas City, Missouri, in 2017, adding 50 jobs to the area.

Kia is a South Korean automobile manufacturer with global headquarters in Seoul. It is South Korea’s second-largest automobile manufacturer after Hyundai.

The name Kia is derived from two Korean words which together mean “Rising out of Asia.”

In 1957 they began building motorcycles, then trucks in 1962, and cars in 1974.

From 1986 to 1995 they expanded methodically and incorporated into the United States.

During the Asian financial crisis, Kia declared bankruptcy. Hyundai acquired 51% of the company. After subsequent adjustments, it now owns 32.8% of Kia.

In 2014, the company announced that it would open a new factory in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. In early 2018, CEO of the Mexico division of Kia, Horacio Chavez, stated that the factory would increase production more than 40% due to increased sales.

The company has faced harsh criticism over premature engine failure and lack of spare tires in new cars, without notifying new car customers.

Today Kia sells over 3 million vehicles per year and in 2019, has plans to enter the market in India in late 2018 or early 2019.  Kia motors corporate office building

In March 2022, a class action lawsuit was filed due to numerous complaints regarding excessive oil consumption. 

In October 2023, Kia announced that it would use the Tesla charging system for its electric vehicles.

The Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. was founded in 1911 by  Masujiro Hashimoto under the name Kwaishinsha Motorcar Co., Ltd.

After numerous mergers and name changes, the Nissan name was first used in the 1930s as an abbreviation used on the Tokyo stock exchange for the Nippon Sangyo, the name of the company at that time.
