Hi,
I am writing in regard to a catering order I placed for $666.08 (Invoice #1798946) from Harvard and Main branch in Irvine, CA. I spoke to the supervisor, Alica (lady) who told me at the time of placing the order and paying that I will get promotion of $25 on placing a catering order of $500, which is currently on the website. I even told her what if the order doesn’t get reflected in the app and how can I claim my $25 for the order I placed. She told me if that happens, you can call the restaurant after 24 hours and We’ll pay you $25 for the order. I called today and spoke to another Manager (Hanna) who said she is not aware of any such promotion and I should call area sales manager for any such requests. I am surprised how they are pushing a customer to get a claim of $25 for placing an order of $666.08. I am not asking for a discount. Hanna was extremely rude, she yelled at me when I asked how can you treat a customer like this and she told me that she don’t care If I complain to the corporate. Extremely disappointed with the customer service Corner’s Bakery has. I am the president of School PTA and 1 thing is for sure you’ve lost the business of the school for future. Kindly help.

Same in Pennsylvania at the Bala Cynwyd location. Sad to say I love the food, but the poor customer service will prevent me from returning. I would have complained but the first person I encountered with a nasty attitude and poor customer service was actually the manager. Sheesh.

I enjoy the food at Corner Bakery and find it reasonably priced too. What I don’t understand is why they use meats with carcinogens! They have sodium nitrates and sodium nitrites in them, which cause cancer. Why not use meats without those in them? They are available. I see them in the grocery store and am about to make myself a delicious sandwich with them.
You could tout the fact that you no longer use such meats in your ads. That would be an eye-opener! People would take notice!

Nothing but horrible experiences from your henderson, nv location. Every time we place an order for delivery, we are missing multiple items and this has happened MULTIPLE times. Customer service is useless and absolutely refuses to help rectify the situation. This last time I ordered, I was missing a whole entree, called the restaraunt and they said, ‘we made it, call grubhub.’ Contacted grubhub who called the restaraunt also and said they had never made it in the first place. CB basically said nothing we can do. Pretty sad that grubhub took care of my refund rather than the restaraunt who constantly screws up. Pathetic excuse of a business.

Imagine online ordering/picking up your lunch and bringing it back to your office only to discover that there’s more ROTTEN LETTUCE in your Santa Fe salad than toppings, rendering it inedible! Grossness aside, with all of the lettuce-related issues and, especially, deaths, why wouldn’t a reputable food establishment not have a quality control system in place? Now I’ve spent $10+ for something that I can’t eat … at least if I’d like to stay alive and not run the risk of eating what looks to be contaminated lettuce. I have a picture if you’re in disbelief, as I was!

Friday night experience at the Glendora California location.
We usually love going to the Corner Bakery for our dinner during the spring and summer months as often as we can but on Friday night, the 2nd of June, we not only had to wait nearly 30 minutes for our order but it was wrong! My boyfriend got the wrong kind of pasta and I never received my baguette that comes with the salad I ordered. We were there at 6:45, ordered our food close to 7 and didn’t walk out of there until 7:30. I asked the one girl at the counter “why it took so long?!” and she said, I don’t know. That’s not an answer! Then we heard the one very tall guy working yelling out loud “this is what happens when management cuts back in staff” but yet you have a “now hiring” sign outside! I don’t get it. We are both disabled and it was hard to sit there for 30 minutes waiting for our order. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti and meatballs – instead he got macaroni pasta with meatballs! I didn’t have time to call the store and try to speak to someone in charge as we were going out of town but I would like a reply back since he wasn’t happy about eating his dinner and I never got my baguette which I love to eat. This was the worst experience we have had and we always go to that location! What’s going on??

We have a serious complaint about one of their morning managers at the above location.
He’s white, has a long brown unkept beard, pot-bellied.
We’ve been there with family in the mornings a few times. We’ve noticed a disturbing, disgusting, stealthy behavior coming off of him.
He’s way too “friendly”, TOUCHY, FEELY with female customers.
For example:
He would go to to them from the back, softly and gently grab their shoulders. Then, slowly and deeply rub them while he’s talking about the weather.
Sometimes he would greet them, pull their seat back and put his hand very gently and softly on the lowest part of their back (really close to their butt) and “help” them seat … the whole time she’s standing, then bending, then seating. He keeps his hand there for a few seconds longer even when they’re seated.
Sometimes, he would “rub” himself by them as they’re passing by him and say things like: “How YOU doin’? Anything I can get for YOU? You here by yourself?”
Any time a female pass by him, he would turn around very slowly and sneak a long, creepy (scary) peak at their butts.
He does these creepy things without most people noticing. They’re all talking or eating. You would have to watch him for a while to see the pattern. It’s really really scary when you realize what he’s doing!
He seems to pay particular “attention” and “gaze” a hungry look at the very young customers. It reminds us of watching the hungry lions stalk the unsuspecting prey in Discovery Channel.
We’ve told our congregation and friends to watch out for their young around this predator. Some are strongly suggesting to bypass their headquarters and go straight to the Frisco authorities to report him AND see if the company missed a background check on him (to see if he’s a registered predator).
We have contacted their headquarters several time by email and on the phone. They know about this predator, but they’re clearly covering up for him. It’s the same pattern that keeps happening with the child-molesting priests.
The food and service is so so. Is it really worth it to go there and come out feeling violated and molested?

You are a disgusting company to treat people the way you do. To allow people to work for you who are racist. All you do is cover it up and make up things to make the person who came forward look bad. I will be telling this story to the news agency. I wiil never shut up about what your company did. Shame on you to treat people like this.

I worked at the Corner Bakery Cafe in Chicago. I been working there for about a year. My performance at work wat excellent. I was ALWAYS on time NEVER late. I really enjoyed working there. The only issue I had was with ONE of my managers. She’s been giving me trouble ever since I worked there. And her name is EDWINA! I’m cool with my other two mangers but for some reason she’s ALWAYS picking on me over little stuff. So we got into a slight agruement WEDNESDAY I FINALLY stood up for myself cause I’m tired of her ONLY picking on me. As I’m telling her to call Michelle so I can talk to her she’s laughing giggling smiling thinking it’s funny. But I didn’t find anything funny about the whole situation. Of course she will be laughing she’s friends with MICHELLE so she’s was more than happy to her. I have witness ans statements to prove what has happened during the lil argument we had. I don’t think I should be fired for this. I really enjoy working for this company. The whole year I worked there I only called off twice. I don’t think it’s fair. And even my manager said I would work my butt off when I would should up.

I feel you! Edrina is a racist. Plan and simple. Sher got me first and I did nothing but say I am not talking the racist XXXXX any more. So she made a fake report about me and got me fired.

I am writing this to make a complaint. Yours is an organization of very good repute. It is known for great ethical values, but recently, I came across disappointment with one one your employees.
I would like to bring it to your notice that certain employee of your company have been spreading false information about me. There have been a attack on my character and reputation. There have been statements made by your employee against my character. One of your employees have said I stole a phone which is completely baseless and untrue but to succeed and survive I don’t agree with such behavior against me.
I believe I have done the right thing by complaining to you, as I am sure that being that head of your corner bakery you will definitely look into the matter and reprimand the employee concern. Please ensure that such incidents do not happen again as it is detrimental to your company.
I hope this complaint is considered as a fair warning and has the desired effect or else I would be forced to take legal action against your employee…period.
Another complaint is about your head trainer Kim she has the most nasty attitude to train..very unorganized company. She doesn’t wash her hands she yells and talk out of line to new training employees.

Your company allows racist blacks to treat anyone else there like a piece of crap. They say all the racist rants that they want to and once a white person speaks up and says no more that they are going to corporate. The black manager who was told before on a lot of others times about this. She said I was to sensitive and need to keep my f-ing mouth shut. That is a quote. They made up this knife stuff to cover up this racist crap. Edwine the manager had told me before that if i ever said anything she would make sure I was fired. She kept!
her promise . No one every sat down with me or spoke with me about any of this. I never pulled a knife on anyone in my life. So you fire the person whod did nothing wrong and you keep the racist people. Something wrong with this picture.

Rude and Bad Experience with the manager of Corner Bakery. As I was driving my car stalled, the Corner Bakery Truck behind me slammed on the horn and when I looked in my rear view mirror was shaking his arms at me. Rather than be helpful he continue to honk his horn at me. How rude, having an automotive issue was not within my control. Perfect example of short temperateness, but the most important part was his lack of thought that he is in a company vehicle and a rolling billboard. But this keeps getting better, he is the MANAGER of the store. When I called to enlighten the manager of how rude his employee was conducting themselves in a company vehicle and poor judgement on their part, I now understand why there is such poor service at this location. The manager doesn’t know how to manage to how to conduct himself, so how would he know how to train employees. Our family long ago decided not to return to the corner bakery after a bad experience at the location. Obliviously this manger doesn’t understand ROI of advertisement or the value of good customer service. Bad experiences are repeated more often then good. After reading this pages I too join the thousand of unhappy experiences. On to letting my friends know not to give their hard earned money to corner bakery.

Hi,
My son is working at the Issaquah, WA location. He has only worked about 4 shifts so far and has had little to no training. He is working in the kitchen and doesn’t even have a food handler’s permit let alone any kitchen training. His managers are not easy to work with either. He never gets scheduled according to when he can work. I am not sure how your company runs but this is very unacceptable! Also, he doesn’t have a handbook and never went through any orientation. How do you expect people to want to work for your company when you treat them this way? He is young and this is one of his first jobs so he wouldn’t say anything. I am speaking up because I know this is not right and somewhat illegal. I hope he doesn’t get hurt in the kitchen…. you need to get management in this location who care about your company and its’ future success.

I came to this site to send a positive note about our local Corner Bakery and am so distressed to see all the negative comments. I am so fortunate to live in Denton, Texas and have a Corner Bakery close to my house. My husband and I go there all the time and love their staff. Matt McCoy is their manager and he is the best. He does an amazing job with his employees and takes care of his customers. I’m sorry that some of the people who posted here did not have a good experience at Corner Bakery. These people working at Corner Bakeries and other restaurants are just human beings. Kindness is in order.

Today me, my sister and mother visited Corner Bakery at the Rio location in Gaithersburg, Md in the early afternoon. When the server Isatou took our order, I asked if they were serving lunch, she said “No”, so I ordered breakfast even though it was 11am. I sat down and noticed other people were eating lunch. I asked for the manager and I explained to the district manager, Deangelo that Isatou the server said the store wasn’t serving lunch but others before us were eating lunch. The server Isatou was there but acted like she didn’t deny me food. The manager apologized and asked me if I wanted lunch but was so upset I said no. I didn’t even eat my breakfast sandwich.
Leaving it alone, I was still upset but what made the whole ordeal worse was that my sister witnessed Isatou making fun of us to Deangelo! My sister even told Isatou she didn’t have to be rude to us. When my sister told me that, Isatou the server definitely crossed the line and I wanted a refund on my breakfast sandwich. I had to talk to another manager there and he refunded me and my family, and compensated us for how we were treated by Isatou the server.
We go to that Corner Bakery all the time and have never been denied food and treated as badly as Isatou treated us ever! Is that kind of behavior acceptable there? Is it okay for the managers to condone that kind of behavior from their employees to treat paying patrons that way?
Would like for the situation to have repercussions toward the server Isatou. If not, then it shows customers that kind of behavior and actions are acceptable and allowed at Corner Bakery.
Julia K. says
I have to add that Isatou had an attitude towards us when she initally took our order. And obviously after the fact denied and acted very ignorant about her denying me lunch food. I’m sorry but acting ignorant towards customers is still no excuse toward the attitude, and bluntly disrespect she showed us!

It is now day 45 without a refund. Completely unacceptable and disgraceful how customers are treated. For about the 20th time, here is our last experience at Corner Bakery 20 City Blvd Orange, CA:
Because of the service here I will never eat at any corner bakery ever again. The restaurant manager is probably the worst. We came here early to have a late breakfast before a movie there was 4 adults and 4 kids. We were one of the first customers in the restaurant so we thought it would be a fast in and out lunch before the movie. Noticed that the line was starting to build up. The cashiers were servicing phone orders before servicing the customers that was actually in the restaurant in line.
We finally got to order our food. We sat down and waited about an hour for our food. At this point the kids were starving and anxious. We noticed customers that sat down way after us received their food before we did. Our movie was about to start so we asked for a refund on our food. Spoke to the manger and she said it would take 10 days for the refund to show.
15 days later no refund. In between my husband had called a few times asking and they would say they would call us back to give us the status. I happened to be at Dave n busters the following week (now on day 20) so I walked over to follow up.
Spoke to the same manager who was suppose to process the refund I think her name was Swan or something like it. She was giving me the run around about the register and how they can process old transactions which didn’t matter a whole lot to me. Told me she will take care of it. Now on Day 45 and still no refund.
Running out of adjectives to describe the awful experience here. From top to bottom… Zero accountability.

I would like to say I enjoy eating at your towson branch but this morning was a bit unpleasant. I was sitting down enjoy the delicious food when I here a female employee ranting about, “beating someone’s a**”. I was very disturbed by the immature, unprofessional behavior. I live and work by the Corner Baker in Scottsdale AZ. My office is right across the street and I’ve taken clients & family there numerous times. I went their today (late lunch) and it wasn’t busy at all. As I walked up to the counter to place my order I oddly enough noticed a gentlemen in the kitchen area wearing rubber gloves sweeping the floor and picking up trash. As I was ordering I was asking myself “is this the guy who’s going to make my sandwich” Sure enough the ticket went to him and he put down the broom and started to make my sandwich. I instantly told the lady to cancel my order and said under no cirXXXXstances should he be making anything. As a kid I’ve worked in restaurants before and they can be absolutely disgusting. This write up is so out of my character and I’m not a vindictive person but this is not acceptable for anyone and they lost a lot a business starting today.

To whom it my concern:
I am writing this letter in response to the poor service that I experienced on Sunday 6/4/17 at 3:00PM at the Corner Bakery Cafe located at The Outlets at Orange 20 City Blvd W #115.
After ordering my food, I sat down to a dirty, uncleaned table that was littered with crumbs from a previous customer. I let this slide and cleaned the table myself using some napkins. I put my order number on the card holder and waited for my food…. unfortunately, I would be stuck waiting for an extremely long time.
• 15 minutes after ordering – I checked with the cashier on the status of my order and they apologized and said the food would be out in the next 5 minutes
• 30 minutes after ordering – I double-checked with the cashier again and got another apology with no food. Customers who have ordered after me have already received their food by now.
• 45 minutes after ordering – Still no food. By this time, I’m starving and very irritated as I have noticed customers who ordered after me have finished their meal and are leaving.
• 1 hour after ordering – I am fed up. I go to the cashier to get a refund for my order and the Manager comes out to process the refund. I ask her why I never got my food and she responded with “I have no idea how that happened”
I wanted to bring this to the attention of the Managers who manage this store. I am not sure why I never received my food… whether I was targeted for being a minority or if I was just a breakdown in the order fulfillment process. Either way, I am supremely disappointed from the poor service and quality of this establishment. Corner Bakery was one of my favorite restaurants to go to, but now I can’t see myself ever setting foot in this store again.

This was the worst visit @ corner bakery I ever had:( first of all I walked in ordered my food, didn’t get my food until 20mins later after I ordered. I order a club panni sandwich and broccoli soup, which both was cold so you would think for the wait of the food it would have been nice and hot (terrible) I gave the food back and asked that money be put back on my card, they took the food but did not refund my money I was told that I will be given two bog (coupons) for which my order was worth way more. Horrible service I will never visit again.

This place is the worst managed of any food service in the world. I have been here 4 times now. Each and every time, it has taken 30 minutes or more to get my food and then it is COLD and usually they have forgotten something! Today, Mother’s Day, I went there for breakfast with my wife. We ordered something very simple and basic. An avocado and spinach power flat and an Anaheim Scrambler. Now I realize that it is Mother’s Day and they were busy, however, that is no excuse for a 40 minute wait and then getting cold food. The assistant manager didn’t apologize, she just said we are really busy and nastily asked if I wanted to have it remade. I did. After another 20 minutes, still no food. So I asked inquired as to what was happening with my food and that we have been here for 55 minutes. Her response was that it was still going to be a while. So I asked for my money back. She called the manager out, who also was not pleasant and instead of asking how he could help me, he just said “What do you want?”
Again, granted it was Mother’s Day, however, it should have been anticipated and dealt with. But I really didn’t see it much more busy than any other day that I had been there with the same kind of problems.
I also wasn’t the only table having the same problem… 4 TABLES AROUND ME HAD THE SLOWNESS AND COLD FOOD THAT HAD TO BE RETURNED!
It is also impossible to send any kind of comments on the wwww.cornerbakerycafe.com website… The contact us page doesn’t work and the help at cornerbakerycafe.com email does not exist.

I went to Corner Bakery this morning at the 2326 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511 location and the cashier Jodi was very rude. She was standing the register and never once did she say “good morning”, “how can i help you”, nothing just stared at me. As I waited for my food she kept staring at me and talking to her co worker’s and they were laughing so I am amusing she was talking about me which is very unprofessional. As I was given my food she threw the bag at me and did not say “thank you”, “have a nice day” or nothing just walked away. If she is unhappy with her job or doesn’t want to be at work she needs to find a new place of employment that doesn’t involve customer service. I would like a respond.

Hi!
On Tuesday, May 9th (yesterday), my family and I visited Corner Bakery in Oak Brook (Oak Brook Center Mall) in the evening for dinner. My husband, myself and our two children ordered our meals and desserts. After we ate our meals, Sofia (my 3 year old daughter) began eating one of the cookies we had purchased in the monster cookie bites bag. As she was eating her first cookie, she started crying and thankfully spit out what was hurting in her mouth…it was a piece of SHARP GLASS that was baked in the cookie!!!! I could not believe it. I quickly made the manager aware of what had occurred and showed him the piece of glass. I sure hope she didn’t swallow any other glass and glad she spit that piece out. I don’t even want to think of what could have happened!!
I look forward to a response! Thank you.
