Enmarket was founded in 1964 as Interstate Stations by Robert Demere in Savannah, Georgia. In 1990, the company was rebranded as Enmarket.

The company operates approximately 130 convenience stores, most with gas pumps, in Georgia and the Carolinas.

In January 2020, the company introduced Enpay, a rewards card that is linked to a checking account, making for easy payments and reward calculations in one step.

In April 2023, Enmarket opened its latest location in Richmond Hill, Georgia.

The arena hosts all types of events, from basketball to music, drawing large crowds to the area.

In February 2023, Enmarket and Veteran Carriers hosted the “Feed a Trucker” campaign.

Brothers Percy and Charles V. Dake bought an ice cream shop called Stewart’s in 1945.

In 1959, the younger Dake assumed control of the enterprise from his uncle, and by the subsequent year, he welcomed his sibling, William “Bill” Dake, into the fold.

Endowed with an engineering postgraduate qualification from Cornell University, William adeptly tackled various manufacturing challenges at the dairy, leading to its transformation into a profitable venture.

Throughout the 1960s, the Dake siblings effectively morphed the business into one of the prominent independent dairies in the Eastern region.

Today, the third generation of Dake’s operates 350 convenience stores located in New York and Vermont.

New locations are being added every year, with the latest in Oneonta, New York.

The company is well-known for seasonal ice cream flavors, including naming one after a famous racehorse “Funny Cide Pride”.

Rutter’s can trace its roots back to 1747 when the Rutter family began operating a farm in what is now Pennsylvania. In 1921, the family began a dairy operation. The first Rutter’s store opened in 1968.

Today, the company has approximately 85 convenience stores, most of them with gas pumps.

In January 2023, Rutter’s announced they would focus on expansion, creating 50 new locations over the next 5 years.

Following the 2017 passage of a Pennsylvania law that allows up to five video gaming terminals to be located at “truck stop establishments”, Rutter’s, in association with Penn National Gaming opened the first video gaming room at the Rutter’s location in August 2019.

As of March 2023, Rutter’s VIP Rewards members are able to place orders online, skip waiting in line, and go directly to the cashier.

Today, the company has 60 locations, with the majority of them located in Maryland and 4 locations in Pennsylvania.

Turtle Stop gas stations and convenience stores are owned and operated by the Wyandotte Native American tribe.

The first location was founded in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, in 1986. Currently, there are 5 locations, most in Oklahoma and one located in Seneca, Missouri.

The original store began as a simple conveience store that served both the Wyandotte tribe and travelers but gas pumps were soon added.

The Turtle Stop added a fourth store after purchasing the OnCue Convenience Store, located at 1101 E Hwy 10, for its second location in Grove, Oklahoma.

The Wyandotte tribe also owns other businesses, including Bearskin Grill, Lucky Turtle Casino and gas station, Club 60 West, Crosswinds Casino, River Bend Casino and Hotel, and 7th Street Casino.

All employees are Wyandotte tribe members and profits are shared among tribal members.
