BucketFeet was founded in 2011 in Chicago, Illinois, by current owners Raaja Nemani and Aaron Firestein. The pair met in Argentina and Firestein gave Nemani a pair of shoes he had drawn on himself as a farewell gift. The shoes received so many inquires and compliments, that Nemani contacted Firestein in the US and the pair started their own shoe business.
The company operates a shoe design, eCommerce site and sells their shoes in selected stores, as well as their own brick and mortar store in Chicago and NewYork. Customers can design their own shoes, or choose from designs offered by others. The company states it has more than 12,000 designs from people in more than 100 countries.
BucketFeet has plans for expansion into international markets, with 3 stores planned for Asia, London, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam, by the end of 2017. Pop up stores in other cities are also very likely.

I love Bucketfeet!… That being said I have never been so frustrated with a company in my 63 yrs living on this planet. I am an artist , retired art teacher and shoe lover. Since finding Bucketfeet less than a yr ago, I’ve purchased at least eight pairs but who is counting… In March I purchased the black kitty slip-on ….In April I purchased the other kitty design…One pair was to be a gift the other pair was for me…It I’d now June 24 th and I have yet to receive either pair…. I have written e mails and called numerous times ….Henri has been very polite but tells me the same story… They will be sent out in mid April….Mid May….midd June and now the last answer to my latest query …. Mid July! I want my shoes… I plan to contact corporate headquarters to beg for a resolution to this issue…. I’m told by Henri the shoes are coming from Brooklyn…. Well, I live 40 minutes away across the river in NJ….PLEASE SEND ME MY SHOES!!
