I’ve been with American family insurance for 4.5 years, after the 3rd year we started getting a claim for vehicle collision and so I guess we got our 5 claims and they ended up canceling us which hey I totally understand if that’s the laws or policy’s that insurance company’s go by. One thing I don’t appreciate is the way this company did NOT inform me that my insurance was not going to be renew itself like it usually does, luckily I so happen to check on my American family app to see my bill because I have the Know Your Drive so it varies. I get in there and see no payment due so I send a email to my agent 3 days prior to my usual due date and the agent Nicole Bolt emailed me back on the 24th stating the decision that American Family wasn’t going to renew my auto insurance but the renters automatically renewed itself. If I didn’t check my app that day and my insurance would’ve lapsed but I got online and had to search for insurance all day the 24th so I wouldn’t lapse. Thankfully progressive was able to get me new renters and auto insurance for an affordable lower price than I’ve ever paid at American Family whom I was loyal customer too for 4.5 years. Shame on American Family Insurance for not MAILING FORMAL LETTERS TO PAYING CUSTOMERS LETTING THEM KNOW THEY NO LONGER WILL BE COVERING THEM so they can find a new insurance company in a timely manner. I will no longer recommend this company to my family, friends or associates.

I had my vehicle stolen in downtown Kansas City from my work. I tracked down my own vehicle and saw the thief run from me. He hit a van, a light pole, and a curb. Then proceeded to run for many many blocks. The police did it not do finger prints or anything due to an overwhelming amount of calls. Honestly felt very bad for them.
The situation that I am in is because I switched over bank accounts and closed out my previous bank account. I did not switch over my insurance. I acknowledge I made a mistake but the insurance company canceled my insurance on November 11th when my payment was due October 23rd. The only attempt to notify me was a piece of mail that wasn’t even certified.
At the time of my vehicle theft my insurance had been canceled for 12 days. I did not receive an email to notify my truck insurance was being canceled, a text, or even a phone call.
The day before Thanksgiving I was notified my insurance was canceled and I am on my own.
I have been on autopay for OVER TWO YEARS WITH AMERICAN FAMILY. NOT A SINGLE LATE PAYMENT OR ONE ISSUE. How can companies preach customer service and they are here to help. The senior claim manager with American Family has been the most rude individual I have ever communicated with. The corporate American Family is saying the Agent can help and the Agent is saying it’s up to corporate.
How can someone pay their payments for 2 years on autopay and then it gets returned for CLOSED ACCOUNT so they send a letter and cancel my insurance without a sliver of effort to notify me.

Hello, I was insured by American Family Insurance back in 1999 for all my cars, rental, home etc. Unfortunately within the last year my luck was just not great with this new car I had bought.
I just found out I was denied insurance for too much claims. Your agent did apologize for not contacting me about the denial and cancellation of my insurance, because they had new hires at the time which caused my insurance to lapse, she did say that they normally always contact the customer to assist them but she saw no notes that they did and she was right I was not contacted.
Here are the claims made that got me denied. And I’m sure you can get the copies yourself. I do appreciate you taking the time to read this letter. I made 3 claims within last year and here they are.
I have been taking my kids to Corn Belly in Lehi, Utah for 5 years now, it’s a bit of a tradition. As I was leaving a halloween parking lot with rocks in its parking lot, as it has always been, a rock flipped to hit the bottom of my car and come to find out it had also damaged the engine. No one was hurt, no violations, purely an accident.
Prior to that, another vehicle made a claim that I hit their bumper at the time I was not even on location anymore with my friend as a witness, but no one came to see my car for any signs of damage when reported or watch the camera at the said location as I have told the assessor that this was available nor talk to my witness. I trusted that your company would watch over my best interest given I have been a loyal customer for almost 20 years, but they did not do further investigation but accepted the claim which then went against me.
And, I know, It’s a weird year, but in the freeway in an attempt to avoid a lady who was texting and swerved to my lane, I hit the curve, but no one was hurt, no violation tickets since I did not get her license, and no drugs or alcohol involved. I went to highway patrol to get surveillance videos but was told it was unavailable. No alcohol or drugs ever been involved or violation tickets with any of these claims.
And now, here we are. I’m struggling to find insurance because of what your company had reported against me. I don’t understand, where is the loyalty and the customer service. I have been loyal to your company and have referred all my family. With 3 claims within 20 years, you didn’t only deny me insurance, your company reported it to where other insurance has also denied me coverage. I would like to think that this company is more than that. I am a good driver. I’ve been with AmFam for 20 years and I get no consideration for this three claims.
I would like some kind consideration. I think it would only be fair. I hope someone out there cares. Thank you.

family insurance over 17 years <and have great credit which they cherry pick there customers. Every little claim have never I think 3 comp and a couple towing nothing but hassle every time. Went to High school with him so I decided to go with him and his company AF . Sense then he now has 4 locations and all he cares about is the money and constantly on vacation and hires very who make serious mistakes. uneducated people when comes too insurance,,,my father worked for farmers insurance for over 35 years .He always said the insurance companys are the most dishonest company's to work for in the U.S he was a underwriter so he could make exceptions to great clients .Not no more!! and most people don't know the difference and get taken advantage, I tried to switch agents just a easy transfer they don't allow ,Monopoly they are pros read the fine print there not for u there for themselves, My wife types this stuff up everyday for a living

My reputation is that I am fair, honest and who uses my public notoriety to benefit others at every turn. I solve problems face to face so I am asking for a meeting with the CEO Dan Schultz or one of the other senior officers in Madison as soon as possible. I would like a response as to where and when the meeting will be within 5 days. My schedule is demanding too, but this is very important to my family. I believe that American Family is abetting retaliation and fraud against me.
1) the HOA by-laws are not legal because they change without votes which contains discrepancies between these documents and the insurance policy. I pointed this out to the Am Fam lawyers-disregard
2). I had a pipe leak which they label me negligent but I have proof it was a contractor error which the contractor agrees. Am Fam asked for subrogation but their customer (I pay premiums but not a customer) refused.
3) i suffered vandalism and theft after the pipe leak which the HOA attorney acknowledge but Am Fam 11 months later does not.
4) There is a $10,000 deductible being charged by Am Fam and the HOA. I have paperwork to prove. Neither one will answer why. Is that question too complex. Who paid what when and why did they place a lien on my unit?
5) One piece of property after many inquiries that was stolen from my property was mailed back to me from Am Family.
6) They charged me this now $20,000 deductible without paying me for water damage or vandalism,theft,etc.
7). I have proof of every statement.
8). Now Am Fam want to sue me for negligence and to pay for the damage to the downstairs unit-their customer. I was not negligent. I would appreciate my day in court.
9). No one else in my complex had been charged this deductible.
10) I had asked for a disabled parking spot for my husband who is a disabled Vet. The HOA refused. Since then various acts of retaliation have occurred. I believe but can not prove but do have retaliation evidence. Is Am Fam trying to help their customer-the HOA in doing this retaliation? My only choice is to ask the FBI to investigate as white collar crime for the double billing of the deductible. The ADA is helping with investigating the retaliation and why I was told in writing I had to get a lawyer to ask their lawyer if I wanted anything like snow removal or disabled parking. Not one space in about 100 spaces. I have an advocate in the MO Attorney General office. It has gone on way too long. There are more incidents than there is space. My original adjustor with my insurance was threatened. I no longer feel safe in my unit. I had an indoor security camera that had been rolled back and unplugged. Because the by-laws conflict with the insurance contract Am Fam sent me a letter saying I am not their customer. I do not want to be contacted by their attorney because having Am Fam sue me would give me my day in court. No one should have to endure this type treatment.

My Name is Regina Jesus I have been a Customer for more then 20 Years . On April 12 my Husband got rear ended by also one of your Clients on the Way to the Airport picking up my Sister and my self.
The Mesa Police was notified but my Husband was told it would take 2 Hours for them to come.
He then did the Exchange with Insurance and Drivers License with your Client And Pictures. We Notified our Agent SEBERN SLOAN the next Day was told that we hear back soon and the Pictures where provided. The next Day my Husband received a Phone call By the Name of ELI ACOSTA asking my Husband his side of the Story for some Reason the conversation didn’t went far either he Hung up on me or his Phone died. When trying to call Mr. Eli Acosta back he wouldn’t answer his Phone. The next Day my Husband tried to call again and he finally answered the Phone and they Exchanged what happen. Mr. Acosta told my Husband that he would stay in Contact. Wednesday 3 Days later my Husband received a Phone call by another Claims Adjuster Peter McWilliams via Email also… that he would be taking over the Claim for Eli Acosta since Acosta left the Company. Peter stated he would review the claim and he would call me and inform me and never did. That was on 4/17 /2019. My Husband called our Agent again SEBERN SLOAN wondering why he hasn’t heard anything but unfortunately it went to Voicemail. 3 Days later my Husband went to Sebern Sloan Office was advised he still waiting for answers. To make a long Story short after 2 WEEKS Sebern called my Husband and Advised him that your Client is fighting the Claim , and that he will take it to the Am Fam Management . We finally Received the ANSWER 5/8/2019 That they Would Settle they Claim me paying $250 to get my Car fixed and the same I guess for your other Client. Why should I have to pay when yet my Husband got Hit in the rear Pictures are obvious and our Agent Agrees Please let me know if you think this is fare after going back and for and just because my Husband couldn’t wait for 2 Hours for the Mesa Police Our Claim Number is 01001438343 Our Agent Phone is 480 985 XXXX Thank you !

My story paints this company as a cold hearted, calculating company whose primary interest is NOT helping people or taking responsibility unless it is completely outlined in their clients policies. After their client, who had taken my monthly rental fees, was a victim of a massive warehouse fire destroying precious very valuable pieces of mine which were important in my retirement plans, American Family quickly denied any responsibility. Where is the human compassion for someone’s tragedy? I am a highly respected Hall of Fame broadcaster who speaks the truth and I want a major officer of Am Fam to respond by meeting me personally. This claim was in November 2017 and I’ve heard negative answers only and just twice while I’ve sent a dozen messages.

A couple! Of days latter I started getting email after email from Veronica A Higgins,
Accusing me and threading me saying she had a witness that said the accident was my fault.
There was no witness. She would not stop emailing me. Finally I had to tell her not to email me. Recently I received a email from Chris L Lankey saying that the other car received 10000
Dollars worth of damage and the the other party was going g to take me to court.
The other car is on!Y worth about 6000 dollars.
I have had American Family insurance for about 8 years I have never so accused and threatened in my life and by my own insurance Company.
The insurance company of the other car has never even contact me.

We have only had one claim and it turned out be fraud, manipulation, unprofessional and quit frankly rude people. Call your employees and they will tell you another story to protect their employment. American Family is a mail order insurance. Most likely phones are answered with an answering machine. No one takes responsibility for any questions. The agents don’t trust the company adjusters and the adjusters don’t trust agents or the company. Everyone goes south with the premium proceeds and that’s why Fortune 500 shows revenue of $7 billion. State insurance offices and commissioners attend your annual meetings and you all have fun and games on the premium proceeds.
