Lucky Brand Jeans was founded in 1990 by Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman in Vernon, California. In the early 1970’s, the pair used to go to laundry mats and, using coins and bleach, make their own uniquely patterned jeans. This is the style for which Lucky Brands became famous for.
In addition to jeans, the company also offers sportswear, T-shirts, men’s shoes, active wear, and outerwear. The company launched a line of children’s clothing for infants and new borns on through age 10, in 2006. The company currently has more than 150 locations, an active eCommerce site, as well as offering their products in Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Dillards, to name a few.
Jeans make up 60% of the company’s sales. All jeans have two, 4 leaf clovers with the words “Lucky You”stitched on the outside fly. Some Lucky Jeans are still made in the USA, however, many are now made in China, Peru, Mexico, or Indonesia.

Came to store in Minneapolis to pick up my paid online purchase for a pair of jeans. The online purchase, size 29 turned out to be 2 sizes to big so I exchanged it in the store for the correct size. In the mean time, the store charged $29.99 on my credit card after I purchased the item on my gift card. They said that I could not do an even exchange. I have to purchase the exchange pair of jeans (size 27). I now have paid doubled for the purchase. The store clerk and manager mentioned that I would receive a gift card for the full refund amount of $29.99. I received an email for a $14 ecard. I am missing an additional $15.99. I called and emailed several times for the credit. Today, I just checked the ecard that they sent to me, balance shows $0.
I have to pay double of what I originally paid. I am requesting to have the amount $29.99 refunded to my credit card since I’ve already paid for the item. I have a credit receipt for the on-line purchase size 29 return. No credit has been given just a slip of paper showing the return of the jeans. I have contacted Lucky Brand 13x in 19 days.

I order athletic cargo khakis , size 34X32 in light sand color.
3 weeks later i received 410 athletic slim pants, size 42X32.
I wold blame it on simple mistake on your side, but then I went online i read review about your online shopping practices. There are over 700 reviews complaining about very similar situation.
You know very well, that 80% of orders under $ 50.00 is never returned. So, you purposely sent customers random shit, exposing them to loses.
With thatt said: Tomorrow morning I will type a letter to your CEO , print out around 50 of those reviews and sent it to your HQ via certified mail.
Someone has o put stop to this criminal enterpise and I am willing to attempt just that.
Have a nice day.

Had similar experience in NYC store ( Soho).
Extremely rude and useless. Can’t stop wondering how they survived so long in tough market.

Hi, I wanted to file another complaint about the first interview I had lined up with Ariel Powell at the Lucky Brand in Walnut Creek, Northern California. She schedule an interview with me after no one called me after I applied online. I had to call all the stores independently from my end to schedule appointments for an interview and it was a phone tag. I got Ariel’s email address from a store employee and got a hold of her through email. She should have called me first and should have been checking responsibly for applicants who applied online on the website. But she was not. I had to do the work for her. She should have been the one to call me and other applicants. What was she doing for a good month of no response when the store said they were hiring from the website looking for sales associates. After a month of no response I called the store she was not there, and an employee gave me her email to follow up with her about scheduling an interview. She told me to come in on a certain day and time and I was unable to make that because I had an interview at the SF moma which was cancelled because I was five minutes late. I was so exhausted and drained from that bad experience of me going all that way and preparing for that job, my highest priority since I am an art major from UC San Diego, and they turned me down because the manager was so mean and would not come down to get me when I was five minutes late sitting in the waiting room for an hour telling me an hour later they couldn’t interview me and no one would go up to get the manager. it was disorganized and unfair. that sf moma interview was the day after my lucky brand interview. I was stressed and preparing for that that I decided I needed the extra sleep and had to sleep to prep for the sf moma interview which I never ended up getting to have. so I emailed Ariel saying apologies for missing our interview, I thought it wasn’t a big deal and that Ariel could have been nice and flexible and understanding my situation with sf moma and the fact that they were so mean not to give me an interview, since that was my priority job, but didn’t get it, wondering if Ariel could be understanding and sympathetic and able to be flexible as a manager my situation and reschedule another interview with me. Her response was mean, short and cold and unforgiving and unempathetic and she said like a robot in an email that I should have called her (when I was sleeping) why I missed it and the circumstance and let her know then. Things happen, and its not like I was hired where I didn’t make it to work, this was an interview and I needed it to be rescheduled from jet lag and lack of sleep from other interviews scheduled all throughout the week like the big one sfmoma. she could have been understanding that they did not give me a chance or hire me, and I needed a job at Lucky brand as my back up job and 2nd preference to work. But she was mean and an a-hole and would not give me an interview to reschedule. She coldly rejected me as an applicant without even giving me an interview, being inflexible to reschedule. To me honestly that is a bad manager and makes me as an applicant who has multiple interviews lined up very upset. She was not understanding from the applicants point of view and busy schedule knowing that all applicants have tons of different jobs lined up for interviews and their schedules can get busy, tiring, and hectic. And she didn’t understand that, was unforgiving, and I wouldn’t want to work with her anyways because she is likely to fire someone meanly and unforgivingly if they missed a day of work or were late. I think she is rude mean and inflexible and non understanding and flakey and feel she should be fired as a mean unforgiving uncompromising and inflexible manager, unable to switch around a schedule and to reschedule. She’s unforgiving. She doesn’t fit the happy go lucky vibe of the lucky brand, and she made me never want to shop or work at the lucky brand store in walnut creek. Now I wont get hired or cant work there my favorite Lucky store because she works there and is blocking me from getting a job. She didn’t give me a chance. She didn’t even give me a fair interview. She rejected me based on not being able to make the interview and that’s not fair for not being able to being hired. She should have rescheduled and given me another chance. She’s mean. and you don’t want a mean manager working and managing and hiring at your store who doesn’t know friendliness and comradery and has flexibility and compassion for people and their lives and work schedules, even when applying and just beginning a job or setting their foot into it. I feel she should be terminated and fired, so that a nicer and more flexible manager can work there who can hire people and are flexible in scheduling work interviews with new applicants and giving everyone like me a fair chance to work there. Not rejecting people before they even make it to the interview. She’s mean, rude and unfair and plastic. She doesn’t have the morals and the standards for a business I would want to shop in or work or work for.

I shop Lucky Brand online all the time and I saw the Ava skinny 7W14186 in the NEW ARRIVALS section on 10/24/2018 and put in my shopping bag. When I went to purchase them they were sold out. I mean every one of them. I was online the day before @ NEW ARRIVALS and they were definitely NOT on the website. Please let me know when they will be restocked as I really want them!!! Thank you.

I am an avid Lucky Brand customer. I shop frequently online, at your Lucky Stores at Topanga, Sherman Oaks and Thousand Oaks, CA and often at Lucky Brand inside Macy;s.
Today, I went to the Lucky store at Sherman Oaks to do some more shopping and to return a few items with receipt. The salesperson told me I was over the return period by 10 days and could only give me a store credit. I told her I was a frequent shopper at her store and would appreciate her accommodating me with a credit back on my Mastercard. She replied that although she sees me at her store all the time shopping, she could only issue a store credit since that was store policy.
She recognized me as a good customer and still would not budge, repeating that it is store policy and that she would get in trouble if she credited my card. I asked to speak to a manager and she replied that she, Ani, was the manager.
Please note that Ani is a poor example of a manager and represents Lucky Brand dismally. Ani is in need of some customer service training and certainly does not offer excellent customer service.
Additionally, this is the same person that refused to issue a refund of less than $10.00 to me in cash and again had insisted that it could only be a store credit even though California law requires that it be cash. She cited “store policy” again.
I will not shop at the Lucky store in Sherman Oaks any more. In fact, this has made me so angry that I’m not sure I can buy Lucky Brand again. Lucky Sherman Oaks obviously does not value my patronage.

I was going to blast the CEO with my issue but thought that would be unfair to those who may be able to handle it.
I have been wearing your 121 Slim Fit Heritage Jeans for 5 years and up until now have had no trouble with them. I had 2 pair that were relatively new in my closet which I would specifically wear on ‘Dress Down Friday’ at Tuff Shed Corporate. I Loved my Lucky’s.
On Friday 12/1 while getting dresses for my day the Zipper fell apart on my newest pair. Thinking I will return them over the weekend I put on my other pair. All was good.
Saturday 12/2 I took Jeans to store purchased from and was met with “We can not return or exchange without receipt” in addition I was told that “Since they have been worn they will not return”!!! As frustrated as I was I still had my second pair so thought, “well live and learn”.
Today is our Christmas decorating party at work! So of couse I wore my Lucky’s (The good Pair) as I went to put my belt on I found that 2 of the belt loops were disconnected for the jean. Upon further inspection it appears that little if any thread was used to attached.
I will not go to store again! I will not waste any more of my Time! I wear a 33-32 and am 55 years old, Can you assist in resolving this issue?
Sincerely
Marvin Kersting mkersting@ tuffshed.com

My husband received a pair of jeans as a gift around the 25th of September 2017. However, the jeans were too small. I called the store at bridgestreet in Huntsville AL as it is the nearest to my house. I explained that they were a gift and I do not have the receipt but all I want to do is exchange them for the right size. I don’t remember who gave them to him. I have asked all of our close relatives and called the ones out of state. The store told me that since I didn’t have the receipt or anything to prove that they were bought there I couldn’t exchange them. I’m not asking for my money back, I only want the size that fits him because these are a considerable amount too small. They have the original tags still attached.
