Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza began in 1984 as Murphy’s Pizza. Papa Aldo’s Pizza began in 1981. These two companies merged into Papa Murphy’s in 1995 when Terry Collins purchased both companies.
The company operates a chain of “take and bake” pizza restaurants, with most of the locations being franchises. Lee Equity Partners of New York purchased the chain in 2010 and went public on the NYSE under the ticker symbol: FRSH in 2014. Quick Service Restaurants rated Papa Murphy’s in 2013 with the Franchisee Satisfaction Award and Top Pizza Chain in 2014.
Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza currently has more than 1,425 stores in 38 states. There are also locations in Canada and Dubai. Because the pizzas sold are uncooked, most locations allow them to be purchased with food stamps or EBT.
In November of 2018, Papa Murphy’s stock was up 20%, but rumor has it that the chain is for sale.
In January 2023, Newsweek awarded Papa Murphy’s America’s Favorite Restaurant Chain for the second year in a row.
Papa Murphy’s maintains a corporate office in Vancouver, Washington.

I worked for a franchisee that is breaking all rules and regulations and guidelines for Papa Murphy’s and would like to complain about his 4 stores

I’m pretty sure a company that can’t even pronounce Calzone shouldn’t be selling them. That’s truly offensive to those of us who speak Italian.

I live in wisconsin. Have been to several Papa Murphy’s around the state.the one out of our area do a much better job especially on $10.00 Tuesday the one in Germantown and the south side of Menomonee falls don’t even answer their phone. I was at the falls one today and I’ve can’t believe how pi** poorly the people are. It’s the same way in the falls. Either corporate should do some a** kicking or get rid of the Tuesday offer, because all your doing is pi**ing off people.
Dennis Selby says
I agree. We go to the oak creek location and we’re turned away on Tuesday at 6:30 because they were out of dough. That is BS It was clear the kids were in a hurry to get off work. We will NOT be going there again!!!

I purchased a salad on 3/16/23 and decided to save it for today 3/17/23. When I open the salad it has MOLD on the tomatoes. I have called the store that sold it to me numerous of times and left VM for corporate. The store is located at 3501 Custers Richardson TX
Carmen says
You salads are excellent! It would be nice to have the option on line for delivery to customize-no onions- I am allergic!

I tried to pay for my 28.01 total with a 50 dollar bill and was told rudely that 50s were not accepted so I said forget it. my husband told the guy he was rude and he flipped out yelling to get the f*ck out of his store and you want to take it outside. he came out from behind the counter and spit in my husband’s face. we called the police but the guy lied and said he didn’t do it and the cop says you cant see on video. so we were assaulted and then told to never come back. this piece of sh*t still has his job because corporate says it is franchised so they dont care. bullsh*t place!!!!!!

I would like to know if there are plans to make the pizza baking tray differently so that it can either be recycled or made compostable. We order frequently and it hurts me to not be able to environmentally rid our house of the tray.
Thank you.

How can I open up a Papa Murphy’s Pizza in my town.
Dean Vander galien says
Recently, ( three times), I have visited your store located at 3932 HWY. 52 NORTH #6, ROCHESTER, MN. as a walk in order. Each time there was confusion regarding my and other orders. As I waited, other walk in orders came and went with their orders. I ordered a standard pizza from your menu, however as my pizza was ready today, it was placed on the call in rack. My name wasn’t called out, as I waited at length. Finally, another customer noted I had been waiting for some time, and inquired about my order. Extremely poor customer service! Perhaps your employees should cut the chatter and tend to your customers! This location has lost my business, and they should know they represent Pa Pa Murphy’s very poorly. Sad!!!!!
Nancy says
My sister and I came in on 3/2/19 and ordered a stuffed pizza and a Reg one I informed the guy taking the order that I was very allergic to mushrooms. When we got home we found out that their was some cross contamination because the gal that made the pizzas didn’t change her gloves and we had to throw the pizzas away. When I called the manager that was their she said she heard me say that I was allergic. The gen manger was rude and didn’t even offer to replace either pizza and the gen manager argued with me over my allergic reaction. I’ve been going to papa Murphy’s for years and they have always been very respectful but the one in Missoula on 3rd st was so rude.

we are long time regular customers
have enjoyed your products
employees always helpful and polite
however …
not the case on 2/14 VALENTINES DAY
husband picked up a heart pizza (made up ahead in store)
looked beautiful as usual
baked up perfectly as usual
but
was totally inedible
d/t waaay too salty ! !
pretty much ruined our dinner
saved a couple of whole untouched pieces to take in
phoned on 2/15
store manager DEADRE was:
curt and defensive
(“a container will make about 100 pizzas and we have not had any other complaints”)
did NOT apologize
(“well what do you expect us to do about it ?”)
did not want to see pizza or taste it or give me days she would be there
( “it might be moldy by now i wouldn’t want anyone here ot touch it”)
really ??? moldy after refrigeration < 24 hours, well wrapped
would NOT give me the contact info of her boss, the district manager
("oh she would have my head if i gave out her name to everyone who wants it")
hmmm. sounds like the district manager doesn't have an opportunity to talk to
customers
unfortunate
my husband and i had a succesful food corporation for several years
hate to see this sort of thing go on to a company with a good product
perhaps some retraining is in order

We love your pizza and we would love it if you would have a store near us. We live in Garden Ridge TX., which is close to Schertz, Texas off I35 between San Antonio and Austin, TX.
We have other pizza places somewhat near us, but none can compare to Papa Murphy’s.
We lived in the Pacific Northwest before moving to Texas, so we are big fans. Unfortunately there are only 4 locations in San Antonio and they are quite a distance from each other. The closest one to us is in New Braunfels, Tx which an hour round trip for us to get a pizza.
Thanks for considering our request.

We love Papa Murphy’s pizza and order it for take out alot. We were visiting in Bremerton, Washington and pulled into a Papa Murphy’s on Wheaton Way in East Bremerton and I had a text on my phone for Papa Murphy’s that I received that day (1-11-2019). As we walked in both female employee and red headed male employee walked out of back room. He looked at my text and squinted his eyes at me and said “that looks like an old message” I showed him it had just come on my phone that day and he said “we are a corporate store not a franchise and we don’t honor those texts.” I don’t even know what he meant; he then offered me his deal of the day “Chicken, bacon, artichoke … I said I am buying for my Grand-kids and they won’t eat that. I thought he was acting very weird and left the store because I had never heard of this corporate discussion he gave me. Could you please explain this corporate/franchise discussion???? How can you know that before entering store? Thanks for your attention to this matter. pr

Your current TV ad displays a woman looking at a pizza with her hair “balled” on each side of her head resembles the despicable “pussy hats” worn during the me to movement. I find this style of advertisement rude and shameful. I do not want to see this coming into my home. Please remove this advertisement and replace it with something else less defining to what her hair represents. I can not believe your advertising department can not develop an ad without this message. To remain a long time customer, I request you remove this ad. Thank you.

We have always had great experiences at the Bettendorf Iowa store. All employees that we have dealt with have been very courteous and give great service. I have had trouble downloading the app though.

Order a large sausage pizza with extra cheese tonight from ya’s store at Durango and W. Warm Springs Rd. The pizza had a lot of air bubbles in it after cooking it. I was very disappointed in your business tonight. One very unsatisfied customer.

I would like to say we love Papa Murphys Pizza.
We recently relocated from Spokane, WA to Farmington NM. We are 6 miles from the only Papa Murphys in Farmington. As a former business owner, I see opportunities around me. I believe there is a location in Farmington begging for a Papa Murphys. There is a new strip mall (with at least 2 vacancies) next to the West Wal-Mart. The population base would totally support a second Papa Murphys. We are a city of 45,000 with a shopping base of over 200,000. Someone is missing a
great opportunity. Sorry, I am too old to want to start a franchise but I certainly would support one.
Thanks,
Greg Munter

Went to Store #34002 in Cary NC on Friday February the 3rd to pick up a papa’s all Meat Pizza.I had a coupon which said free breadstick or Cinnamon wheel pizza, however when I gave the lady my coupon,I assume she is the Manager, because she is always there she then told me that she can not give me that cinnamon wheel pizza free.I ask her why, because a week before I had a coupon and they did it.She then told me she will loose 5 dollars and the people that work in that Store not suppose do that. She then said I do it this time, but next time I want. That is so unprofessional and disrespectful. We Order almost every week a pizza and that manager made such a big deal. The sad part is it was a free coupon, that what gets me.When I left the store is noticed she did not put any coupons on the pizza, however everybody else had a coupon on they pizza.I don’t think I go back to that Store. She needs to be trained to give better customer service.

your on-line ordering site is terrible. please re-work the site to make it easier to order without having to enter personal information or having to pre-register my name, email or address. I would order more often if it was easier to use

Tried to use online ordering and after 30 minutes of frustration stopped and went to store with coupons. Your company is running the old bait and switch gimmick. Tried to order a $10 pizza but was unable to check out. I refuse to give my personal information to you or anyone. Tried to check out as guest 3x unsuccessfully. I have been 15 year customer but no longer.Your business practice is VERY unprofessional.
