I am dissapointed in public storage . I for almost three years now have dealth with nothing but disrespect lies and bullcrap they always raise my rent and can never give me exact reasons why and everytime I pay to get my stuff out of the storage completely they ask for more money I have not touched my belongings in years and have jut been paying and I am over it . My stuff keeps ending up in auction and it’s due to them cutting agreements off if they feel like they just want more money I caught COVID and lost my job along with my boyfriend and we both have a three year old and now have a four month while I was pregnant the district manager to my location actually screamed at me and would not whatsoever the whole phone call explain myself and would always cut me off he did it again yesterday and even admitted he was cutting my agreement even though I have been paying and was going to sell my stuff because ” he does not care about me or my situation at all and has to do what he has to do ” and if I did not pay an made up amount which is full of my three year olds baby stuff my personal stuff and my boyfriends dead grandfathers things ! I am sick of this and the way I have been treated I just paid 130 or 140 yesterday and my stuff is still in auction I want to speak to someone that can and will help me I am tired and have never in my life ever been treated like this by any other company especially considering there is a pandemic going on !! I just want my stuff that is it it’s all I’ve got really I dont want to but if I have to take that route I will take legal action due to all the money and proof I have that I’ve paid and the lease I have signed and agreements that havent been followed someone just please !!

The facility is allowing homeless people to break in and sleep in the units. There has been three major break-ins this month and 15 of us were affected. The two people that are in charge which I mentioned before didn’t do anything. But my daughter and I chased out the joint and we got the guy apprehended. He is in jail right now.

Do not ever rent from public storage. The location on 28th St. and Thomas and Phoenix Arizona has had multiple break-ins. 15 units including mine was broken into on December 29. The district manager, Robert and the regional manager. Cassandra were aware of all of these break-ins that have been occurring for over a year at this facility and did nothing about it. they are the worst company ever and be aware of this location. Homeless people were living inside of the units until 5am due to the fact, the renters have a entry time of 6 AM. We did all of the work with apprehending the suspect, which is now in jail,I have all of the video footage of him breaking into all of the units. The suspect return to the location at 1030pm on 12/29/23 but we were waiting for his a** to return this time. He broke into this location earlier that morning.. We watched him attempt to break in again, immediately called the police, and he was apprehended. This is the suspect that was breaking and entering into this location. The company did nothing about it they could care less my daughter lost over $15,000 worth of merchandise and 10 other clients lost property two and the company could care. If I could give them a zero, I would give them a zero. I hope they close this location down renters beware homeless people are living inside of the location. The homeless people can enter by just kicking the bottom of the sliding door of this location and entering at any time. You are not safe at this location below is a picture of the individual that is in custody now due to my families, investigation, skills. as Sean F in the prior review, states that there is no security system at this location whatsoever. Even though your contract states that it’s secure, it is not it is very unsafe for anyone to rent at this company and especially dislocation. Homeless drug addict. Individuals are just running through this property and no one is doing anything about it. However, it was addressed today within 24 hours. The suspect is in jail thanks to me and my family. The facility took no action. I have all the video coverage of the homeless people running throughout the location between the hours of 1045 and 5 AM vandalizing and stealing. renters beware look at the time that these individuals are inside of this facility stealing, cutting the sliding insert to get into the units not the locks but the metal sliding latch. The female suspect is carrying my property and he’s wearing my property. Look at the time that these individuals are in this location living in here. don’t try to lie and say this is not your facility the way you did one of the other people that posted. Bad comments about this sucky company. This is the location on Thomas and 28th St., don’t trust the management team. I would suggest anyone renting from this location get your things out because I’m sure it’s a group of individuals that are linked to the person. I have attached to this post and the pictures. If you look at the bottom of the video frames, it indicates alarm motion the alarm is read, the motion has checked box so you would assume that the alarm is disarmed and the motion detector is armed. Run from this facility. by the way, the door still has not been repaired. It is now three days later the facility is aware that all you have to do is kick the bottom right corner of the sliding door no code is needed and it will open. I hope this helps anyone that was affected by poor service, poor management and any loss property at this location that needs to be shut down

Due to COVID-19, my business was shut down. My storage unit is FOR my business. I called immediately in March of 2020 to discuss options. I have been having email exchanges, phone calls, social media messaging and the one thing I am extremely disappointed about is that the rent cannot be put on hold until the business gets back on its feet. THERE IS NO COMPASSION. The customer service rep I spoke to at corporate was snarky and condescending. I cannot imagine how a 3 to 4 month pass on rent that would be paid back would impact this company. There are at least two dozen facilities in my state alone. Once I clear out my unit, I am ending my contract and NOT EVER GOING TO USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR ANYTHING.

After being a good tenant for 5 years, I vacated this overpriced unit.
The resent price increase got me to $ 226 for a 9 x 10 unit. Than is not fair.
New units are being offered for the same size and location at $84.00
At the end of January, I transferred from my existing unit to a larger unit for less than half of the original price.
I received an e-mail notification today that they want February rent, for the original unit, plus late fee totaling $271.20, that is for the unit I no longer occupy. Or else, they will go to collections.
My calls to the property manager “Sal” 630-687-9614 have gone unanswered.
Need your help in resolving this troubling issue.

I am very unhappy with the Public Storage facility at 2363 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414. I have rented ab RV spot for years at this location. They raise the rent more than once a year and always by more than 10%. If this isn’t bad enough, they will not repair the receptacles in the RV storage area. Those of us with RVs or boats have depended on these outlets to keep our batteries charged. When I asked ther staff about it they had an attitude. I expect a lot more for $225/month and constantly rising.

The Public Storage located at 7545 Dagget St in San Diego, CA is filthy and all they want is your money and will breach any contract to get more money and do not care about customer satisfaction or customer retention. Being prior military and placing my personal belongings in storage several times in the past for deployments, I have always had positive experiences at other storage facilities in San Diego. I accepted a job out of state and rented a unit from the Public Storage at 7545 Dagget St. Within a couple of months, they increased my rent by 13%. My contract states they must give a 30-day notice of the increase by postal mail. That is the primary notification standard. Then it hints in another spot that they may on occasion send information electronically. For the first increase, I did receive proper notification at least 30 days in advance via email. This time I go to pay my bill online as I usually do. My bill amount is $95 compared to the previous $60 which is a 54% increase! I contacted the storage unit immediately. Jake Harris said my rent was raised. I told him I was not notified of this. He said their system says an email was sent to me. I have every email from this facility and none of them, especially in the last 30 days mentioned a rent increase. He would not help me and told me he would call his district manager, David Kadeeja on my behalf. I also asked for David’s contact information so he gave me his number of 714-338-1262, extension 3157. I called David Kadeeja and left messages and he never returned my calls. When I call, the office line always say their Public Storage corporate office is closed for the day and you have to call their extension which no one answers. I called Public Storage at Dagget St again and spoke to Shanay 2 times. She said she had called David (her boss) and left messages and he has not called back. 2 weeks went by. I paid the increase so I wouldn’t be subjected to other exorbitant fees and a lien from this corrupt and shady facility. I was really hoping David would do the right thing. I finally got fed up and started calling other extensions and leaving messages for whoever could get David to call me. I was able to speak to 1 person who answered and gave me the regional manager’s name and number- Kenneth Lassegard at ext 3115. I did receive a call from a David about 1 hour after leaving all these messages. He told me he was contacted, and he should call me. I started to tell him the reason for my complaint. He then told me he was the wrong David as he is their IT technician. He asked me what David I was asking for and found him on their online directory and sent him an email on my behalf. The next day I get a call from the elusive David from his cell phone. He also tells me that the corporate phone systems have been out for about 2 weeks which is his explanation for not contacting me sooner. Apparently his employees do not have his cell number while corporate numbers are busted. I explained my complaint. His response was that I was sent an email. Interestingly enough, since this is the first time he has spoken to me and since his employees have been unable to reach him, and he is calling me from his cell phone, I wondered how he knew for certain without a computer screen in front of him that I had been sent an email. He never asked for my name or unit number as I described my complaint. I also asked him who sent me the supposed email because I wanted a name. He said there was no name, it comes from their corporate email handle. I further asked him how he can refute my direct knowledge against a computer system. He said he trusted their computer system more than me. I let him know I paid the 13% increase before without a complaint because I had received appropriate notice per our contract. I also pointed out that I pay my bill early which is how I found out about the increase and I promptly contacted their office to discuss it well before it was due and yet no one has contacted me back or attempted to resolve my concern. He reiterated that he trusted his computer system and he would not refund the difference or apply it to a future payment like I requested as I would be fine moving forward as though that would be my 30 day notification. I remarked that its pretty shady that he can claim their computer system is not flawed in any way- yet their phone system is so flawed, he couldn’t contact me or his employees for over 2 weeks. After that worthless conversation with David, I proceeded to contact his boss, Kenneth Lassegard 2 more times and left messages. He never returned my phone calls. This company believes they can raise the rent by 54% with zero notice and just verbally claim they sent an email and I am supposed to take their word. They could not even forward me the email. This place is awful and has terrible business practices. They may have extorted me for one month, but I refused to let them continue to take advantage of me. They could have credited me for failing to notify me properly and I would have accepted paying them the increase after that for at least another 12 months. Instead, this complete disrespect and disregard for me as a customer went too far. I was a loyal paying customer for 18 months. They also just lost $1140 in future business. After this tacky exchange with David, I immediately purchased a round trip plane ticket and went to San Diego the last day before my next storage payment was due- and moved all of my belongings to a more reputable facility. I would rather spend $1500 making an impromptu round trip to San Diego than give another penny of my hard earned money to such an ungrateful lousy shady company for the paychecks of a regional and district manager who can’t even do their job- a manager should reach out to speak with customers and address concerns. I would’ve stayed in business with this company had they called me and cared to understand my concern. Mistakes happen and a company that can admit that and attempt to rectify the situation is worthy of another chance. They obviously do not care to be notified that their email system failed and may still be failing but they refuse to accept the feedback. With as many storage facilities as there are in San Diego, it is better to avoid this one or any of its affiliates entirely. More so when I moved out, there was a heavy odor of urine everywhere, there were no carts available in the elevator to move which was always promised, the door to my unit’s building was not locked or had the ability to latch shut so anyone could access it, the lights did not come on in some parts of the building. A filthy man wearing no shirt was inside his unit with the door open cooking something on a mini grill. It was obvious he was living there despite their contract stating inhabiting a unit is prohibited. I am certain that is why it is filthy and reeks of urine and other nasty excrement. Additionally, when I pulled up to the “secure” gate to input my code, a homeless guy on a bicycle was behind me waiting. When the gate opened, I attempted to block the gate with my vehicle but the guy rode right by nearly hitting my car and he rode his bike really fast and disappeared. It’s obviously an attractive place for homeless people to live at. The increase in my rent obviously is not going towards the upkeep of the facility, just into some corporate employee’s pockets. Also, who raises rent by 54% and expects a customer to pay it with zero notice? What average person can easily pay a 54% increase of rent with zero notice? Even a 30-day notice is extreme to expect someone to take on an unexpected 54% increase out of the blue. Sure, it’s “legal” because it’s in their contract but this is beyond extreme in a single month. Thank goodness I have a well paying job that allowed me to immediately fly in and move my belongings before being taken even more advantage of, but for many, I imagine this is a horrendous form of victimization by expecting a customer to pay such a large increase with little to no notice and hold their possessions hostage with the threat of selling it all off at auction if they can’t pony up the money on a steep rent increase. I read the online that the CEO of Public Storage (whose corporate office is the same address in Glendale, CA as David and Kenneth) made over $11 million in 2016. I imagine he is raising the rent on customers to get back to his $15 million paycheck he had in 2012. More interesting is their Chief Financial Officer- John Reyes, made a mere $4 million in 2012 but more than doubled his salary at $9 million in 2013 and has climbed to a whopping $14 million in 2016, more than his boss and CEO. That is mine and others hard-earned money going towards the salaries of money hungry individuals because my rent certainly isn’t going towards paying their employees to care or to secure their facilities from homeless people or cleaning up the mess, stink, broken doors that don’t latch, or have functioning elevators or carts promised for the purpose of allowing someone to move in comfortably. This company is a disgrace.

Paying a unit with AC for 4 months and 2 months of that no AC, now my unit full of mold. Entire home in unit distroyed and manger Jeff just gave me 2 days to move in another unit but only non moldy stuff. Nice all my stuff is runied . Did you people know that this company charges different rates for the same storage space and they base it on how many spots they have open,so more spots open means less money and the less spots the more the money, i asked for a tree branch to be cut down so i could move y trailer further back,they of course said no problem,its still not cut down,then they told me if i move down 8 spots they would knock off 25 a month on the rent. Then just yesterday they told me my rent is due on the 6th or i would have a late penalty,not sure how this is possible since i didn’t move in till the 16th, This company gauges customers and they do on the basis of how many spots the have open,

This place has no customer service they are good to take our money and no good to help. I’ve been paying for a AC unit and the AC was broke for about a month or where my 10×20 unit was filled of mold all my things are distroyed. No contact from the office to inform me of the AC condition of cause cause i still was paying and that’s all they care about.Now to get some type of compensation for my stuff or unit pricing and I’m not getting any help. I’m so disappointed with this storage company and disgusted with the storage managers assistance in all this. I’ve also written to Corp looking for help and no one at the Corp office has answered any of my emails. My advice to anyone looking to rent storage don’t USE THIS COMPANY. The customer’s sign a contract that screws you over. What’s sad is that I have given these people my money 4 other times in different locations and regret feeding these Corp bully’s that don’t care about the people that pay. Their in lack of customer’s service for a few dollars. This is very disappointing and frustrating on that I’m only given two days to move my stuff out, and no type of compensation for all my stuff. I am outraged with the service I received from the 4343 Covington Hwy, Decatur GA location. On 10/26/2017, I rented a uhaul to clear my storage unit. Upon arrival to the storage facility at 11:30am, the agent had a sign on the door stating would return at 2pm. I was unable to access my unit because it was erroneously double locked. The agent finally arrived around 12:30pm. I requested courtesy lock removal and was told by the agent the lock removal person would be onsite at 1pm. I waited until 2pm. The agent stated she was calling the lock removal person but he was not answering his phone and she did not know what had happened. The agent told me to complete the lock removal form and when the lock removal person arrived, he would remove the lock and put one of their locks on the unit. I left the facility because I could not access my unit at that time. Approximately 30 minutes after arriving back to Mableton, GA where I reside, the agent called me stating the lock removal person had arrived and stated I had to be present in order for him to remove the lock. At that point she put Shawn on the phone, who I was told was the District manager, who was very unprofessional and rude on the phone. I would hope that is not how he speaks to all of his customers, which was a very condescending and demeaning manner. I tried to explain to him what the agent told me and he would not allow me to speak. He was loud and interrupted me. As I continued to speak, he stated he would be there for 1 1/2 hour, if I wanted the lock off. He then hung up the phone while I was still speaking. I can tell he is use to speaking with a certain class of people, because he was freely unprofessional. I dropped my uhaul off, which cost me $80 even though I did not use it and returned to the facility. I suggest, you offer Shawn training in customer service skills and also suggest you offer your agents training on company policy so they would not be giving customers erroneous information. If I would have known I had to be present to have the lock removed, I would have waited on the lock removal person. I will not use public storage again and nor will I recommend it anyone. I give it zero stars!

I forgot to say that the security codes to access the facility have been not working, anyone can get on the elevator, IF IT WORKS, and go into the building, no code needed!! Which explains the bottles of urine tucked away in the corners.

Facility at 503 Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg MD has had a broken elevator on and off for a month. For 2 weeks they had a firemans key in the “Bypass” position to use the elevator. Now today it’s completely out of service. We are moving 50 Miles away on Saturday. The manager Marcalis says parts have been ordered but does not know when it will be fixed. COMPLETE BS!!! They told me if I wanted to get my items FROM THE THIRD FLOOR, I could use the stairs! I asked for Marcalis’ manager, Clinton Marquel, who after 4 calls and 2 texts has not called me back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Complete lack of caring for their customers. Should have gone back to EZ Storage!

I’m not happy I’m not paying over $200 when I was told194 and I received an email stating that and a phone call. this company is a rip off . Hello my name is Ernest Raye and my has a storage in Montclair, CA. My wife’s storage was broken into and our stuff was taken. On top of everything that was taken, stolen property was put in our storage. My wife and I was told by the property manager when we first got the storage that it was a safe location and the manager leaves onsite. The manager said we didn’t have to get insurance due to that reason. Only six storage units were broken into that night. The property manager has no empathy or sympathy for our family. Rick Jensen the district manager has yet to return my call. Our storage was broken into early last year and Rick has only called once. Public Storage is a greedy, insensitive, shady, and dishonest company. All they can say is you should have got the insurance. I HATE PUBLIC STORAGE.

The first girl had no clue then all of sudden a new girl is there telling me oh she must have forgotten the correct information shes new. My lease is completely opposite of what i was told, i called corporate and all they do is repeat a script. How can you raise a person’s lease because of the business needs? This is over a million dollar business revenue. This complaint will be heard beyond Corporate!

I live next door to the Public Storage in Salem,Ma. For three years the stream of homeless people who live in this storage facility have been come in and out and hanging outside with their bags of clothes.This year they seem to have told many more homeless. Now they even leave their cars in the lot and hand wash the car while they play with their dog and play music very loud. The grounds have trash every where and the grass is past my knees. The gate has been broken for over six months when there was a snow storm. The lights are not on at night so even more seedy people hang out and do drugs. I can’t imagine how dirty this place must be with all the homeless sleeping in this building. The yelp reviews say its disgusting. Public Storage shame on you! Get some management to handle this. I have contacted the health department and the police.

My husband and I both Had jobs but in August our baby girl was delievered by c section because she was having tachycardia during this time I was unable to work and the pressure was on my husband. He brought in money but if we was both working we would’ve been a lot better. Like all Hard working Americans Hard times hit and We was going through eviction. We couldn’t take everything, and let me remind you that this was Our first Home Together and Recently Got Married a few months prior April.We trusted Public Storage With The Only things We had to our name, especially all the baby clothes that she couldn’t fit then but can now, her crib, swing, brand new baby stuff from my babyshower, my husband and I accomplishments Marriage Certificate and Much More that Was Personal. Plus all of baby stuff that we could of passed down to our next child.We had got the smallest storage unit in late October or Early November paid those months. In the process A organization was in the process of helping us get move into an apartment for december. During this time we was still going through hard times and hoping from hotels that other organizations helped with. the Organization blessed us with an apartment in December. We kept in contact with the Public Storage letting them know that A payment will be made. We really just needed the unit til December. However Our Phones was disconnected due to priority was Bills Trying to revover from Hard Times. In January We called to let me know that we had payment to get our ONLY belongings out in 2 weeks which was when the next time we got paid, but asked Was there anyway that they could waive the fee and they said call customer service. However she said she will put that we are going to pay and I gave her the new number for the account to reach us. I kept in touch because I was afraid of losing our Things. So We was going to call Them When we got paid in 2 weeks. I called at the mid sort of the end of February to make the payment because at the time we finally had transportation to get Our ONLY BELONGINGS. The words I heard from that Lady dropped my heart and I could barely talk to her because I was crying hard. “We sold that unit a few days ago and we give them 24hours to get everything ” after the fact she act like she couldnt the unit I was talking about. Everything I was telling her about previous conversations I had with another Lady working there she act like she dont know who that was. Even worst that She didnt see any memos in the account about we was going to pay or the new number I provided. Then she Says “ohh yeah they tried calling 5 times it wasnt a working number”. But I thought she couldn’t find my account and acting lost. She says theres nothing we can do. Now our baby girl is outgrowing everything she had plus all my clothes was in there and i barely have clothes as well. Now what. Everything we had is Gone to someone who sold everything for profit and money while we are looking like sad puppies. Money don’t grow on trees for us to buy the only essential things we had. While CEO and everyone at the top isn’t worried about our problems because their family has essential things. This company only seem to look out for their needs not worrying about the needs of our family. I feel robbed with insurance, nothing I could do but pray that God will give us what we lost plus more. Never again will I trust companies like this and I will make sure that everyone knows on media to safe them the tragedy.

Just to let you know, My storage unit K-031 At your Ft Caroline Rd Public Storage OFFICE, is EMPTY. Its all yours you CROOKS !!! And LIERS !!!! When i moved into your unit, I was informed and i was TOLD i could acess it as much as i wanted to, and i could work in it also. WHICH THINGS WERE FINE GREAT AT FIRST. Till you switched managers. See when i moved in, IT WAS STORE items, wood, crates, business equipment, and i CHECKED and i was told it was ok, no problems, WHY WOULD I EVER JUST WANT TO STORE USED CRATES, and WOOD FOR !!!!!! Then you get a NEW MANAGER in there, and i guess they had something up there a** over me, TOLD ME NO YOU CANT WORK OUT OF THE UNIT, or USE OUR ELECTRIC….Well we argued over that, i stopped using your damn gold electric, BUT YET THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHERS IN YPUR SITE WHO COULD AND THEY STILL ARE, and THEY HAVE BEEN USING IT, BUT GOD DAMN WE NEVER COULD DO IT, GUESS BECAUSE IM WHITE, HELL I DONT KNOW, OTHERS WORKED OUT OF THERE UNITS,AND USED YOUR ELECTRIC, and the owners drove right passed them not saying a damn word to them, even had extension cords across the roadway too. My friend had gotten me a storage at public storage at 10792 Knott Ave, Stanton, CA 90680. Well due to my lack of responsibility I lost my storage. Where I have the problem is that I went to my storage the day of the action and CA state law and even on public storages website it states that they can give the purchaser of your storage the person number so that they’re photos and paper work can be returned . The lady said that she would let the person who bought my storage request that they save the photos and paper work. That I would be receiving a call when to come pick it up with in the next couple of days. Well a week had gone by so I went over again to talk to a different guy who promised me yet again that he would find out what was going on . He checked his storage room which came up empty for any of my belonging. I’m not blaming public storage for my lack of responsibility but what I’m upset about is I made the effort to get my paperwork and photos back. They just played me. That’s B’s. They lady lied straight out of her mouth. She didn’t do what she said she was going to do. This is lack of coustmer service. What this company completely lacks is coustmer service. Whatever you do is don’t rent from people who lie!!!

We have everything in storage at this time. Fell behind and made the December 1 payment on December 31st. Some companies we had on auto pay collected early from our accounts and the funds were not available. We then called the 866 number where I was told if we paid 200 on the 13th and the balance on the 31st it would be fine. This is a recorded call. I specifically asked if this would keep our items safe and was told yes. It is in the recorded call. Next week I received an auction notice from Public Storage advising our items were set to auction. The notice was sent prior to 45 days late. Called and the location advised that the 866 number is unable to set up payment arrangements and that they followed everything they were required to auction our items and that they are unable to make any payment arrangements due to Kansas state law. So they now are saying that Kansas law takes away their right to make arrangements with a customer. We received first notice of default January 9th. I am talking with anyone I can. We did pay the 200 on the 13th and can pay the 200 remaining on January 31st. Anyone who can help please do. I am not asking Public Storage to waive any fees (Though 188.00 in fees seems excessive to me, and this is included in the monies owed so technically we are behind the added fees and not the actual storage fees in the $200 we owe). We want our items and can pay what is owed at the end of the month. The District manager involved is Marc Turnage at 913-906-9903 and the Senior District manager involved is Mark Weigum 913-338-1151. Also, we were a previous customer for 4 years from 2010 to 2014 but that doesn’t matter to Public Storage. They advise it is a business but apparently not one that cares about the customers they serve. I do not believe they followed correct notices before placing out items of auction. They advised our items are to be auctioned off on January 23.

The public storage in Lake Forest on Cook’s Bay Drive the regional manager is the coldest and non compassionate human being I’ve ever experienced I got a pre lien notification and opposition to lien which I return by certified mail I got a phone call from manager stating their Regional manager is denying my opposition to lien form and auction would procede. I then filed a small claims case against them to stop the auction. Had it served i assumed that woukd be the end of it until the court date.i called to find out my total balance due because 8 i tended on paying just needed a little more time to get funds togethef. I tried to negociate with lizann and she was completely unwilling to do anything to help. Isnt the goal to get paid the money due so company doesnt suffer a loss. But the othet part of the job is customer service. Why would anyone want to see someone loose everything they have worked for their entire life I was never notified of the date of auction therefore I could not request my personal photos and paperwork which I am legally allowed to have . I asked her to please call the purchaser of my unit and she refusef. So just know this lizzann this will be the last time you do this to anybody . How much did you take out of that unit before tje auction started. Yiu seemed hell bent on not letting me have it. You went against a lawsuit filed to stop the sale of that unit . So if the person reads this that bought it it was sold illegally lawsuit was filed against tjem prior to sale. I am not allowing you to do this to anothet person i will take this to the extreme. karma is a XXXXXX the check you sent me for the sale of my life choke on it . Im not dumb enough to cash it. Bottom line is you refused to be human and you wouldnt work with me which by the way is totally within your ability to do . Ypu ignored a civil suite filed tp stop auction for what . Ypur onlu intitled to the amount of my bill and ypu had to send me any money that was left. So the company didnt profit from the sale .what did happen is you caused a family hardship pain and now they have lost everything. Things that no amount of money could replace.

I would never recommend Public Storage to anybody ever again I will never use it myself again and as long as I live I’ve had my unit for a full Year’s pay 150 to $190 a month for the full 8 years I’ve told the property manager two weeks early on the 15th of last night that I would be moving she failed to tell me that since I’ve been customer for 8 years and their rules on moving has changed now you only have 6 days to move everything out or you have to pay all of the full rent I have had other units during the six years with public storage because I have four wheelers and stuff in this unit so what I was moving in moving from apartment I had to get another unit for furniture and stuff like that and I was able to move out pro rated rate

I just had a terrible and upsetting experience in the Newington, CT facility. The manager would not provide me with a price on a 5×5 because there were none available. When I tried to explain that I needed a ballpark figure, she refused. When I explained that I would like to comparative shop, she refused again. I said, “you are being difficult and uncooperative”., she asked me to leave stating I was being hostile. Then she followed me out the door and took my licence plate number. WOW
I am certain that this is a case of reverse discrimination and gender biased. I believe I was given a hard time because I am a White Male.

The public storage in tucker Georgia at 1844 Mountain Industrial Blvd. has a property manager by the name of Ester Davis made my experience at public storage a living hell. I paid the bill then later found out the items in the storage was damaged because the unit next to it was broken into and the wall fell in on the storage I was going in. She should had told me that when I told her what storage I was there for. But instead she waited until after I paid then she wouldn’t give me a refund. I was very polite and pleasant. Don’t go there (1844 Mountain Industrial Blvd. Tucker Ga). Because people Burglarize their property and Ester Davis treatment is not professional nor does she has a pleasant attitude. Easter Davis is a very rude non people’s person. Easter Davis should not Be at front counter with the bad attitude that she has.

My experience with Public Storage was very good until I found myself as a homeless veteran and could not keep up with payments. On December 10th, 2015, The Public Storage unit at 12315 Largo Drive, Savannah, GA, auctioned off all my possessions. I doubt any of you are veterans, but all my medical records, awards, photo albums, my books, my daughter’s letters to me when I was deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and other items are gone. I am trying to locate the person(s) who bought my stuff so I could buy it back because those items especially the letters hold sentimental value to me. Can you please help?

The Public Storage 25992 Midlothian Va. Is so Awesome. I was on my way to NY and was going to another storage place on Memorial day weekend when I got a call from that place saying they sold the unit they were holding for me. In a delema I passed this branch and stopped. It was pasted 6 and Kim (the associate working that day) was locking up for the day. I told her my situation and she was very nice and was more than willing to help me. She unlocked the door and even though the computers have her a for trying to get me into the system she still remained just as nice and if it wasn’t for her and her kindness I would have been stuck with my belongings till I could find another storage place or till they opened in the morning. Kim displayed above and beyond the kind of compassion and customer service companies only dream of having work for them. I am greatly satisfied with her and her performance and so Thankful for her kindness and her time.

Public Storage is obviously from what I see and including my experience the worse company to deal with. The customer service is horrible Management cares nothing for you or your property on their premises. Rodents ate my furniture which both Store Manger and District Manger as well as the insurance company used all admitted. Since I carried my own insurance and not theirs all anyone can say is we can’t help you. My insurance which is Military has an exclusion for pests which apparently most insurance carriers do as far as damage. So it didn’t cover the damage to my property. I did not receive the care or concern from the Corporate office which I called a few times and left messages. I finally got so guy who appears bored with his job and all he did was give me back to the District Manager. Whom I explained didn’t do anything to he,lp. I will report this company everyday to whomever will listen. Radio, Television and and consumer website and show pictures of the damage. Public Storage is a disgrace and any COO, CEO representing this company as reputable should be replaced immediately with competent people. If it was their property they would be pissed. I’m in finance and I wish I could handle their mortgage they way they have handled my account and property. The store is in Katy TX. 281-578-5176. I want to start off with I’m so humiliated and insulted with the kind of service I recently experienced. I went online to reserve a storage 10×20 with your company, Public Storage.
It said that I received an discount simply be reserving on-line. Ok I’m cool with that solicitation.
Let me tell you my experience. First of all, the manager was very persuasive in pinching their items, he sold me on the lock for the outside unit. That’s fair, he gave me the flavor and I enjoyed it so I bought it from him simply because the brother was on his game, promoting his product. I applaud him for that.
What I’m unhappy about is the fact that I was explaining myself to the manager about the inconvenience of visitation to the unit itself 09:30-06#0 Mon-Fri and 09:30-05:30 on Sat/Sun. I was trying to see if there was an exception for people in business to have access beyond the existing hours. I was telling him that this storage is for my daughter and I need to confirm the hours with her. Well it was about 2:30Pm and my daughter was busy at her work, she’s a clown. So when I got a hold of my daughter to confirm the hours, Public Storage was closed @ 06:30PM. So I thought I can resolve this in the morning. So exactly 09:30 I called to report that I’m cancelling my unit, it has’nt been 24 Hours at this time since I rented the unit, so I’m thinking It will be fine. So while on the phone, the manager says to me that I will be refunded $63.00. I paid $424.58 for the remained of May 2016 which came to $$52.00 & for the month of June it came to $312.00, I also paid for a lock which cost $21.99 and administration fee of $$24.00
I would have accepted a refund of $376.83 (minus $24.00 & 23.75) butI was told $63.00 will be refunded back to me. I will receive it in the mail. Not refunded back to my debit card, the same way that it was paid.
That’s not the end of it. When I tried to go to the office to get my paperwork with “Vacate” in writing, I was challenged by the manager and his assistance. They were not customer friendly nor showed any care about my situation. He had asked me why i was cancelling I replied ” inconvenience of unit hours 09:30-06:30 & 09:30- 05:30.
He assured me that I was NOT going to get my money back, but had I cancelled the same day I would get my money back. So this sounds to me, My Unit G37 should not be available tono-one else fro entire month simply because I already paid for it according to the manager, but I’m no longer have my belongings in the unit, it was not 24 hours although the manager was trying his best not to be available for me at the time of my trying to vacate the premise. The sign says 09:30- 05:30 on Sat/Sun. It was 11;00ish and there was no one in the office the door was locked. I called on the phone and while I was leaving a message, his assistance showed up at the gate. It gets better. He asked if the unit was vacate if not come back to the office when it’s vacate I had three gentlemen removing my belongings onto the truck as we were talking but he insisted that I come back when its empty

Last year we got our storage unit broken into and public storage (georgia)didn’t do anything to help us , recover anything they play stupid and whoever stole my husband tools and personal things (everything even my little boys toys) walk away easy and the police officer who took the case say it was an inside job , seriously public storage only care about collecting money from us but don’t do a thing to help the costumer .

PUBLIC STORAGE ON TATE BLVD IN HICKORY NC SUCKS!!!!!! I rented a med size unit in june 2015 and paid it every month till January 2016 when we fell on a hard spot. A customer service rep called my phone one time and only said i needed to come make a payment by friday February 26th.she not one time said anything about my stuff being sold at a auction that Friday mornnot.i got all the money up and begin calling them at 7:00 am and no one answered.i called again at 8:00 am and left them a detailed message and heard nothing back.i called them every 15 mins after the message. Finally they answer the phone at 9:40 am only to tell me my stuff was auctioned off before they ever opened up that morning. That was everything me and my four kids owned..their baby books photo albums and pics of my parents which are passed away.none of which has been returned like they told me it would. I even ask them to contact the guy and let him know i am willing to buy my personal items back and they claim they told him and gave him my information but i have heard nothing. The staff auctioned my stuff before giving me a chance to pay on the day i was told to pay by. And to beat it all they auctioned my unit for 70 dollars and now expect me to pay the remaining balance left.if they would have told me correct information i wouldn’t have lost everything i owed and they would have been paid in full..i will never recommend this storage to anyone at all..they completely suck…

Public storage is full of liars and cheaters they say one thing and do another Holly at the location on 9 & Layton is a manager I felt with I was in constant contact with her and I informed her that I was on my way to the location with full payment yet they decided to auction NY stuff anyway. I was told if I got there at 1130 I would be able to save my belongings I got there at 1110 and all the auctions were complete meaning my stuff is gone. I spoke to her at 945 because they failed to answer phone at 930 when they open and told them I was on my way with full payment yet she decided to auction my stuff anyway. I am going all over social media and 3 major radio stations in the city of Milwaukee to let people no not to ret from public storage. I’m going to stand outside every storage unit possible and discourage people from using there services. Public storage should be ashamed of them selfs they lie on website stating u give clients every opportunity to pay yet when I was trying to pay I couldn’t get username or password and noone answered.

I have decided to leave the Public Storage company. My belongings were saturated with urine once we arrived back in town and decided to remove some clothing. We have our ministerial robes, a leather jacket and an evening gown that must be dry cleaned. The rest of the clothing must be laundered.
We informed the staff that our unit had urine in it and that the bags and boxes had been urinated on. Nothing was done, but we were given an apology. I just wanted to inform you of this extremely disgusting

I have rented a unit for my business use for 7 years now. Every year they increase the rates.
It never really bothered me because the staff was always friendly helpful and kept the facility clean and free of debris.
In the past year the staff changed the old person went to a brand new facility and two new people started at the public storage where I rent.
Since then the place went down hill. Debris all over outside for days and no one cleans it up. Nails and screws all over in the areas by the outside units.
I drove in oneday and heard a screw pop into my tire. When I approached the employee he said I could not prove it was from there. Both employees at this location do nothing but sit in the office all day when they could be touring the property and sweeping up debris.
Well from then on i took pic of screws, unit #s everyday same screw or nail in the same places.
I talk to dist. Manager and that didnt help much. I am paying more every year and the public storage in Naples, FL 34104 is getting worse and worse. Thinking its Time for a change

Crap, crap!! Rent storage yesterday for my son while in town. Put he and his mother down as authorized users for acct. Left town on yesterday and they call me today while I’m out on my exercise walk saying they couldn’t get in facility because code doesn’t work. They call and were told I had to call in. I call in and am asked for the last 4 of my drivers license number. My wallet isn’t w/me because I’m riding w/someone else. So they can’t give me any information, so by this point I’m really pissed. My son and ex ended up paying for and using another facility because of all this. Now customer service is saying I can’t get a refund for something that I had no access to or can’t use. Please beware before renting from these people!!!

I know its annoying and not very good feeling, but they do that Eric for your protection, its not their fault that you dont have your act together and neither do they. I used to work there and there are plenty of divorced and people with restraining orders agaisnt people on their auth users list, so its their policy that if you dont personally give your auth users the info they need and they show up not having it, then to protect you and your belongings they wont give out the information. I heard this complaint many times and although I wish I could help them I wouldnt want to be responsible for their stuff going missing due to some family or relationship issues (it happens way more than you think) so you should thank them for being vigilant and not complain cause you screwed up eh? And believe me when I say I dont want to defend Public Storage, they are evil unethical greedy, and treat their employees like warm bodies, and pay them less than an illegal alien makes standing outside of home depot for a day. But seriously I get sick of seeing entitled people complain everywhere about how some poor working sap didnt drop to their knees and worship the ground you walk on, seems unorganization is a family trait for you and yours. 🙂

I called the storage facility and was only able to leave a message and never received a call back. I have an issue with the fact that my storage unit is infested with ants and the associate I spoke with on the phone says there is nothing they can do to help me. I didn’t bring any insects with my belongs and I don’t have any food in the unit that could possibly be attracting them.
I’m trying to reach out to corporate to see if there’s something that can be done being that I don’t want to take those insects with me when I have to move.

I moved in my united on September 1, 2015. My husband put the unit in his name and put me done as a occupancy because they said i had to be there in person. My husband got incarcerated on October 4, 2015. I have payed this unit ever since on the day i tried to move my things they said i couldnt take anything from the unit because my husband had to be there. Now they know my husband is incarcerated and that doesn’t matter to them. I have power of attorney of all his business and they still said i can not move my things. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER rent from these people again

I got a horrible experience with public storage in lewisville Texas , I need immediate attention from higher authorities , the regional manager Leslie and location manager both misbehave nd provide me false information about general service and rates . I will be filling a police report in for theft. They owe me $1261 and change for selling my deceased mother’s property and they issued the check in my mother’s name and refuse to answer calls or emails and just transfer you all over. I will also be filing complaint with the Dr. They have the death certificate and monthly receipts with multiple name. They told at the storage unit I needed power of attorney which is not true because Power of attorney ends when the person dies and there is no probate when the assets aren’t at the minimum. It’s been a bad experience with this company to begin with, from dealing with a highly unprofessional and rude store manager named CANDACE at the Schiller park, IL location to this price increase on my storage rental out of nowhere.
Highly disappointed with this organization! They clearly falsely advertise and gain customers and then increase the rent once the customer has signed up! Quite cunning as they know its hard for a customer to move all the stuff out once they’ve moved in. So why not take advantage of that?!
My rent was raised by $40 because the company had too many expenses per the customer service rep i spoke to. She clearly told me, “sorry can’t help, this was an executive decision. The company had too many expenses so they felt it was beneficial to change my rent to market rate. If the customer decides to leave then we have to abide by their decision, we can’t change that.”
I guess their extra expenses are my fault? Why even have promotions?? I signed up during a 50% off promotion and never did it say anywhere or did they ever mention, we can change your rate whenever we feel like. It’s too bad if a customer cannot afford the price change.. why would the company care? They have expenses, but customers do not! I even left a message at the corporate office expressing the disappointment and requesting a call back and no one has called back! Feel very cheated!! I’m so regretful i chose to go with this company rather then others in the market. It’s not even about the money anymore, but the fact that this company has no principals. Gaining customers by cheating and lying.

I moved into the smallest storage unit on Indian Trail in Norcross, Ga. mind you, this is my first time renting and it will NEVER happen again!!!! I got it October 15, 2015! I was late going to be late on the payment and I called to let them know….again, I CALLED TO TELL THEM WELL BEFORE THEY EVEN HIT ME WITH LATE FEES OR CUT MY LOCK TO PUT THEIR LOCK ON!!! When I called, the associate said “No worries ma’am you’ll have until the 15th then after that it’s a late fee. But if you don’t pay by the 22nd then we cut your lock and put ours on it!” I said okay I’ll get my stuff out before the 15th because I didn’t need it but for maybe two weeks. I get there the 12th of November to get my stuff out, THEY’VE ALREADY DEACTIVATED MY CODE AND CUT MY LOCK OFF AND HAD THEIRS ON THERE!!!! I went to the office and asks why and the lady says I’m late on my payment and that someone should’ve told me!!! I said yes they did but that the guy said I had until the 15th!!!! AGAIN YOU PAY FOR A FULL MONTH!!!! SO IF I PAID FOR A FULL MONTH( which is what they told me) THEN WHY IS IT THE 12TH AND MY THINGS ARE LOCKED BY PUBLIC STORAGE???????

I rented the storage yesterday, I told them that I don’t need a lock, that I got my own.
I’ll bring it with me when I bring my stuff . They told me Ok. Tonight I got a big UHAUL truck full loaded, and I paid 2 persons ( $200 ) to help me loaded and unloaded. So , when I got there the Unit was locked ,the store was closed. I still have to pay the workers , I drop of them in their place, and I came back home with the truck full.
On top of that I was expecting my brother help me with the 2nd. trip tomorrow before he goes to work in the morning to save some money since the things left are just a few boxes I didn’t need extra workers. Now, first, I have to pay again personell for unloaded the truck and by the time that I’ll be back home my son won’t be able to help me for the 2nd. trip He has to be at work at 11 a.m I have to pay for the 2nd trip again it ‘ll be to much money, just because the Public Storage don’t have the courtesy to call me before they close and let me know that they have my unit lock if I’m going to go today for them either leave it opened, or me to be there before they close to show my lock to them. They have such a bad customer care, I’m very upset , and I know for sure tomorrow when I call them they’re just going to apologize them self , and that’s it , like it its that easy to lose $400 Just because they are so stupid.

I will NEVER USE PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN! !! Yesterday I made reservations for a 10 by 20 storage unit on a special. however when I arrived and looked at the unit I felt that I would probably need an additional storage unit. The manager showed me a step down unit the problem came when he wanted $159 for smaller units vs the hundred thirty two dollars ( $132) per month he quoted me for the larger unit.! I ASKED why I would pay more for a smaller unit than the larger unit, __\\; he stated We have more of the larger units available then they smaller units. I informed him at that time then I will take the larger unit. He then said no you can’t do that because you already received a special for $1 for the first month. This made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I asked him why I can go online and get better prices you said you can always get better prices online then coming into the storage facility itself. at that time I went online and made a deal with Public Storage for $65 for the first month and a hundred and $32 per month after that.. however when I showed the property manager the deal I made online he quoted me a hundred and $97 for the first month. I absolutely refuse to be ripped off and told him I would never use Public Storage again and as soon as I could I would remove all the things I just put in the first unit. at which time I want the two months I paid in advance refunded and never use a company that can not keep its word that was given in writing. I am very disappointed that a company as large as Public Storage feels like they have to rip people off especially at Christmas just to make a few more dollars.

Nov 4, 2015…attempted to rent a unit in San Diego, Ca and cancelled my account right away….requested a refund, was given the run around, then finally the main number of public storage told me my refund was approved. Numbers were given to several local managers and regional district managers…no return phone calls and no check. Will be contacting an attorney and the Attorney Generals office as I have been informed by others the service is horrible.

This company allowed my x husband to enter into my unit, told him what one I rented allowed a lock smith to bust open my unit and remove my property. Anything but an apology I have gotten from them. This is one of the most devastating things that ever happen. He left a few things simply because he didn’t have room or he didn’t have a need for them… I am so upset I don’t even want to know what little of my things I am left with…. I feel robbed. The company I was working for was shut down due to illegal activity by the owner. I received unemployment for six months. I was pregnant and loss my baby. My unemployment ran out before I could find a job.
I’m a single parent and I have nothing of value in the unit. My kids belongings are in there and I don’t want to loose them. I had to move in with my daughter and the things in that unit is all I have.

Buyer beware! I am having a frustrating situation with Public storage. They raised my rental rate after five months 25%. No warning at all. By time I was finally was only able to leave a message for a customer service manager, I only received a voice message that they were sorry I was upset but, they could do nothing about this. It was in fine print in my contract. When I signed the contract I asked the property manager if there was anything I should really pay attention to in this agreement in terms of increases etc. She told me it was very simple agreement with no surprises.

They stole out of my unit. What type of place steals things out of your unit? They cut my lock but “didn’t take anything.” Then who did? How is that even possible that things just disappear? It’s ridiculous. Not only that I was lied to. I was made to buy a lock that they said they won’t give me the money for but it was the only lock that would fit. Havner, is paying attention and takes the time to review the comments on their website and can see how many people have virtually been robbed by Public Storage. I intend to make this known and inviting anyone who wants to join me in filing a class action suit against them. I thought that they were an upstanding company and I was deceived! They will rape you of any and all money. that they can get from you. I’ve had my possessions there and they are constantly coming up with trumped up charges. Unfortunately, this was the only unit available at the time as it was short notice, so I took it. There were holes in the sheetrock walls, one of the supportive beams was not fully in tact, and the light in the unit didn’t work (I have pictures to verify). Not to mention, I needed to sweep it out myself as it hadn’t been done prior to me moving in. I secured the unit on Oct 2 and moved in Oct 3. I paid the 1/2 price promotional rate. Two days later, I see the same type unit being advertised for $1…..I called and not surprisingly got the run around from customer service. I had been directed to them by the property manager who said customer service is the only department who could make any billing changes.. Needless to say, I didn’t see a penny back of the $175 I spent. Fast forward a week. I found another unit at another location closer to my home. I went to check it out and about 1/4 to 1/3 of the floor in the unit had some unidentified substance sticking to it. Obviously, I turned that one down. I then luckily found another unit at a different company which was actually in clean, working order. So, about 3 to 4 days before I was moving out (Oct 17-which would be only two weeks into my stay or 1/2 of my rent), I went into my account to schedule my move out day for 10/17. I also left a message on the property’s voice mail on 10/15 stating I’d be leaving on 10/17 and asked if there was anything I needed to do. No response from them.
On their website, it clearly states:
“Pro-Rated Rent
You may receive a pro-rated rent when you schedule your move-out day in advance. For more information, please contact your property manager.”
Do not believe this. I moved my car out on 10/17 and went to close the account. I was told I was only being refunded $0.97 of the $15 insurance fee I had paid. I had paid $175 for the month and was there exactly 2 weeks. I would think based upon the statement on the website that I was entitled to approximately $87.50, or half the month’s rent back.
I took my car and put it away in my new unit. I went home and called the customer service line and explained the issue. I received the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They said that because I was no longer a customer as of 9:30 AM, after that point in time they could no longer help me (I don’t believe this as they didn’t help me even when I WAS a customer)…I called them at about 1PM on the same day mind you. I explained the policy on the website, and they denied it even existed, AS I WAS LOOKING AT IT! Then they said it was my fault because “that is what you signed”, and just kept repeating the same line off their script. I cannot believe a company like this has such poorly trained customer service reps. It’s one thing to not get my money back that should be mine, but do not patronize me on top of it. Honestly, a huge company like this isn’t going to go under for honoring the policy that they state on their site. It was $87.00. It would have gone a long way in establishing “good will” towards a customer. I would not recommend storing here to anyone. Once you hand over your money, you are a complete afterthought.

Just to clarify I mistake I made. I secured the unit on Saturday 10/3 and physically moved in on Sunday 10/4, making the duration of my rental exactly 2 weeks between the dates of 10/3 and 10/17,

I rented a unit in Louisville Ky and let me be the first to tell you THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS!!!. I was late on one payment, but I paid it up to date and was trying to move out of the unit. I was told by a property manager by the name of Chieme (spelling) that if I needed until the 6th of the month that it would only be $49 to vacate the unit. When I showed up to pay it on the 2nd and get my things I found out she didn’t tell me the truth. Right after cutting off a lock and making me buy another (which was completely unnecessary because all they did was put another master lock on it.) She then informs me that I have to pay now $249 for the unit and then have money sent back. What’s even worse, she can’t even tell me how long it would take for me to get the money back, even by paying cash. I don’t think this person knows what she is doing and I would never recommend using this company. I am still trying to get this problem resolved and everyone I have spoken to seems to have the same issues. NOT KNOWING THEIR JOB.

I live in Ft Lauderdale, FL I keep my business trailer at a public storage location that is gate and secure and my trailer was broken into and all my equipment stolen. The manager that works their had a million excuses why he could not look at the cameras and said he would try to eventually if he got time. The police came out and dusted for finger prints and took pictures but found no prints. So therefore the only option I got left is to look at the 1 single camera they have on the entire facility. I have been a customer here for more than a year I show loyalty to this company but it seems they don’t have any loyalty to their customers the one who pay their employees. My only source of income was trusted in there supposed to be secure location now I can not work and seemed to be out of options. The manager even went so far to accuse me of leaving with the trailer and breaking all the stuff in my trailer taking it out and coming back to claim the theft.

I currently have a unit rented at the Horn Lake, MS location and today we discovered that or unit has been burglarized. We immediately reported our findings to the Shalonda, the sales rep. and her attitude was very rude. When we asked for numbers of higher authority she refused to give them to us. She said that we should get the numbers from our lease agreement if we needed them. It was close to end of her shift but she showed no type of compassion for our belongings by leaving the office in a hurry to escape questions from the police. After we remove our belongings from the unit we will never consider Public Storage for storage purposes again. DO NOT RENT WITH PUBLIC STORAGE!!! The workers are thieves. It clearly was an inside job being that there were no signs of entry from the outside of the storage unit.

I am renting at the Public storage in VA, @ 4071 Prince William Pkwy, Woodbridge VA (bldg E, supposed to be temperature controlled at $235 per month currently). I started renting end of Dec 2014 and the temp was not an issue. First of all, the rent went up last month by about $30, previous being $203 per month). It’s been about a month now I have made 2 visits in the sweltering heat. First time I complained to Ovais (a male agent), 2nd time about a week ago, I complained to Lauren who came on a round of the facility in the E bldg. First she tried to tell me it is the front door of the bldg beig left open by customers and the heat does not help; Ovais gave me the same story. When Lauren visited I told her about the bugs outside the unit and dead ones(all types). There was a pungent smell of some spray or insecticide to cover up something. I have had my stuff in storage in temp-controlled units for 3 yrs and shifted it to VA Pub.Storage in Jan 2015/1st week. Last week when I went to get some stuff my belongings, even cds, old files, cushions were smelling, and of some kind of spray, and it was obvious that the stuff was exposed to non-temp-controlled environment. The AC/fan unit outside bldg was not functional about a month ago and I told about it to Ovais. I also told Lauren about it –the fan is just not on! Finally Lauren told me someone came to fix the AC but maybe they did not get the right part or something. So, I told her to follow up on the issue because it is just not right for PUBLIC STORAGE to charge me temperature-controlled storage pricing for a non-temp-controlled storag unit. I can get a storage (around 10×20) for under $150,maybe cheaper, but I have good furniture , clothese and household stuff that I want to protect, which is why I chose a temp-controlled unit. I woud like a portion of my August 2015 rental reimbursed to me. Principally a portion of the July 2015 rental should also be reimbursed.A/c No. is 20007038. Please respond to this submission by email.
I have left Lauren a message at ph 703 580 5105 to report back to me today or else I will complain to Executive/Corporate office. I have not heard from her as yet, but maybe I will. Public Storage should stop this unprofessional and unethical business tactic. If an AC has a problem, it should be fixed and the customer informed. I am a retiree and putting my hard earned pension into storing my stuff safely, but your business is ridding it to rubbish.
Please look into this asap otherwise I will report it further to the BBB and other agencies governing minimum standards of your business.

Rented a public storage small unit in May 2015. Only needed it for a month or two. The young lady that rented the unit to me was on, but there seemed to be a lot of shady things going on at those locations in Decatur and College Park, GA. None-the less I had few options so I took the unit, paid for it and moved my belonging in. Last month I called spoke with Anta at the 4200 Snapfinger Woods Drive location, made a payment with my debit card over the phone, and believed all was well. Now today I call to make another payment and this rude Shenera (who I assume is the manager that was out on maternity leave is giving me the run around, and stating I never made any payments and owe almost $200.00. I have never been through any drama with Public Storage before, but for some reason all this issues always seem to reverberate back to a HUGH Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Intelligence Investigation that two a**holes named Reynaldo Rivera and Giovanni Hamler of (NYC running scams on mob families as well as unsuspecting renters with various company’s such as yours. These are all scams, and they call low life bums and thugs like them selves to rip honest hard working people and their children off. Maybe you should upgrade on your personnel. This Rivera bu** hole and Giovanni Hamler both live at the Ancient Oaks Apartments in North Arlington, VA 22201. Giovanni has two hatefull 8 and 9 year old ugly daughters, who destroy other peoples property and Child Protective Services should take both his daughters from him and his idiot stripper girlfriend Liz. I rented from public storage for about 3 mths while I was in SCAROLINA my daughter wanted to borrow a bed I said of course and when she brought it home it was full of bed bugs so I’m now in south Carolina with nothing no memories none of my things because no one would go in there to get it even my important personnel information and they double locked the door and still want me to pay I called the district manager numerous times and no response can’t make a claim even though I Pais ins cause I can’t get pictures now I have to sue

I reserved a storage over the phone a few days later I called to get a larger unit within driving range of the provided zip code. The first rep I spoke to spent a long time (in which a am not complaining of) locating the most bang for my buck. After reserving I called the unit and was told that unit and deal wasn’t available at that location. Ok NP..I called back spent even longer with a very helpful rep. Finally reserving a deal for exactly what I. When I arrived at the location to load the unit I was told by the person in the office that that unit was under construction and she would locate another space nearby. She did HOWEVER I could not get the rate I was quoted over the phone. because I had hired helpers and rented a truck I did not have time to shop around AGAIN.
I called customer service and was told to take it up with location general manager. After completing the new reservation for the increased price, I called the GM and left a message after 2 weeks she never returned my call. I called again left a demand to call message and she called back the next day.
She apologized for the problem but said there was nothing she could do it is what is it is since the location is under construction. I didn’t accept that and told her that is BAIT AND SWITCH tactics and horrible business and advertising practices. I shared that the employee at the first location told me that California is not aware of them being under construction therefore selling units that are unavailable and this has happened several times. She said she has asked the GM to inform but was refused. During my conversation with the GM she said she would fire the young woman for telling me that. Yet, keep in mind she had told me this exact thing. I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED because I this unit for at least a year. Moving out will repeat the expenses of a hiring a crew and renting a truck. Public Storage have the worse business practices DO NOT STORE WITH PUBLIC STORAGE

To echo a recent comment, I called on the 6th oh July 2015, to alert the mgmt that I would no longer need my space. It’s been empty since the 2nd of May 2015! I paid June because they said I would have to call by the 6th of the month with my intentions to vacate. Pro-rate is fair — to charge an entire month plus late fees is ludicrous!!! I will never do business with Public Storage again and will advise the same to anyone that asks. I am on Social Security and do not work. I have stage 4 terminal cancer. Public Storage is like doing business with a drug dealer!

I was a customer of public storage since June 2013, paying every month faithfully for 2 years. I called the office of the public storage I was renting from and told them I will be vacating the unit before the 6th of June 2015. I cleaned it totally out on the 4th because I had to get back to Memphis to care for my fiancé who has cancer and was starting a new chemo treatment on that Friday. By the time we got everything clean up in the unit that Thursday the office was closed but about hour prior to them closing, the manager was riding around the area by my unit and told us to make sure we take our trash with us. Now I received an invoice via email saying I owe them $105 for what I do not know. I would never rent from publuc storage ever again and will not recommend them to no one.

Their so called on site staff is unreachable 99% of the time – if you are able to track down ( you will spend a lot of time doing so ) they barely speak english- have little to none information, completely unaccountable for anything pertaining to the property, issue with unit, always trying to pass you off to the so called district staff (who again ) have zero answers, who also try to pass you off to to the pool of ignorance in Glendale, CA . They continue to raise your rent without notifying tentant in any form before doing so… I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS OF ANY KIND WITH PUBLIC STORAGE. This is a PATHETIC HIDEOUS Operation at all levels !!!

I rented a unit from store located at 15889 San Pedro in San Antonio, Texas, from the onslaught of the rental, I have not been able to get in contact with the property manager for inquiries on my rental. In trying to make my current payment I discovered that my unit was about to be auctioned off for non-payment and I had never been notified of any discrepancy in my payment and after numerous attempts to contact someone in regards to my account, I was greeted with a customer service representative that was willing to accept payment over the phone for an additional $20 fee. This rental has been nothing but aggravating and very pain stakingly difficult, I will not ever rent from Public Storage ever again and will not recommend Public Storage to anyone. I am also going to file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and place a negative comments on all social media available.

I had very bad experience with customer service in public storage located in 2825 hedber Dr. Minnetonka, MN. I made online reservation 125319744 on 6/4/2015. I came to look at the property same day. I told property manager Suzy I believe her name that I will Co e and pay 6.6.2015. That day her mood changed completely. She was rood and elegant. She told me that she does not want to rent it me but will rent somebody else. That she and only she entitle to do whatever she decide and rent whoever she wanted ignoring my online reservation. I was shocked with that kind of customer service. I am sure people like she should not represent good name public storage company. I rent space every summer from your company for many years in different location. Never had a problem. Never missed payment. But this particular location property manager has unupropriate attitude and should not work with customers. I had to drive to e other location right after 5 miles further to rent instead. 5 min and I had a unit. I guess it worth to drive extra miles to avoid roodness rejection of basic customer right. I hope people like she will not be part of company which work with customers.

Can I say no sensitivity through out the ordeal of flooding no assistance at all with trying to switch to another unit not even a waiver of the service fee of $23.00. I am a retired military and have been a customer for a year. I was informed my rates would be 171.00 for my unit and now my rate is sky rocketing to 206.00 next month as a result to a survey as explained to me by one of the clerks in the office. I want to know how I was explained how my rates are jumping to this rate and I was quoted a totally different rate and not one due to the surrounding area. I am a disable vet and do not have the luxuries of moving my items from storage company to another nor who has that money to do this.

I had to go away for 7 months and rented a unit with an alarm, and key code in a secure building, so they say. I just got back and today I went to my unit. It a different lock on it and 20,000$ of my belongings was gone wiped clean and when I asked the manager about the alarm she had nothing to say and could not find a log of it.. . She claims that the system resets and therefor has records of it. I never got a phone call or anything

My unit (and two others) was broken into on Easter a little over a month ago. $3000 of irreplaceable musical equipment was stolen. When I filed the police report, the DM said, “They get in where the fence is coming apart in back”. Further inspection yielded three holes in an old poorly maintained fence, insufficient security cameras, and all building doors left unlocked overnight (standard procedure as the doors have no locks!) Customer Service and Corporate stonewalled my calls. BBB shows an F-rating with over 300 complaints not even responded to. Icing on the cake is that their survey link, emailed to me after talking with Customer Service, is invalid. This level of neglect and incompetence is paralleled by no other. I’ve been with them seven years. I would like to be contacted by anyone who’s had a similar experience.

I was not able to share a “Review” online at the GOOGLE Website, therefore I hope that this will be sufficient for the employees to be recognized. There are “2” employees that I have met and been serviced by that are “very good” at what they do. They are: “Cathy” & “Rhonda”. Every time I “physically go” to pay a bill, or have questions and/or concerns, they are ALWAYS HELPFUL. Just yesterday, I went in to note my account of an “Identity Theft” issue. “Cathy” was present at the time. She came up with ideas of what to add to the account notes that would secure my information even more. I REALLY APPRECIATED that. I told her she should go work for Transunion due to the fact that she had good ideas on how to secure confidential information against identity thieves.

Our storage unit is on n Lombard Portland. We have 2 units. Both has been broken into. RV was broken into twice inside stripped. Customer service representative was rude and refused to give me the number to corporate office. We were tolded that security camera worked. But was told by another associate that cameras never worked. Drug users are sleeping in vehicles that are stored there. After hours people are entering a broken gate. My husband witnessed this and called police. The associate refused to come out even when police told her what was going on outside in the parking lot of your business. We are very disappointed with your business. We’ve been with your company for over 3 years and feels this should have had more compassion and attention.

(Sorry about the length. Tried to keep it brief and still tell the story. This just happened a week and a half or two weeks ago.
I’ve had 1 or more units at the Belmont Public Storage facility almost continuously for about 13-14 years.
I had a friend rent a unit in her name for one month to get the $1 for the 1st month deal and give my wallet a break.
During this time, I met Stephanie, she came by while I was at my unit two or three times. My partner also had stuff stored it this unit. Some of which were things that were her parents she was saving for her daughters. Things you can’t replace. I had stuff I had paid literally thousands of dollars to store
at this facility for years.
Anyway, I agreed with my friend to only have the unit for 1 month. Well, I went past that mark by about two weeks. I told my friend I will pay the bill and not to worry about it. My partner also talked to Stephanie about when we could pay the bill and when we were going to move our stuff out.
Well, my friend got anxious and called Stephanie and told her she didn’t want that unit in her name any more. (She had been sick and just got out of the hospital and wasn’t thinking clearly).
Stephanie told her to “come down right now and sign this paper”, which she did, without reading it or being explained as to what she was signing.
Stephanie auctioned off our property the next day. All this behind my back!
I only owed about two weeks rent.
Stephanie knew I was the one who was paying for that unit and the owner of the property in it. Not the person who she had come down and sign that paper!
—-> She could have just told my friend she already talked to us and that we are planning to take care of the bill. She probably would have said ok and left. That’s all she had to do!
So I rent a truck for $100, go to the property pay my bill and get my stuff and it was gone. I asked Stephanie if my property was still on the property and she said, “go ask your friend”. She wouldn’t answer any of my questions. So needless to say, I was pretty hot!
I had my friend go down to get me a copy of what she signed, and she said “it was already mailed to the corporate office”. I asked her to get a copy of the paperwork from the auction as to when and how much it sold for. Stephanie said “when it went to auction it was no longer my property”.
Well, Stephanie being in a position that is obviously too much power for her to handle without abusing it, her superior attitude, and her lack of people skills caused me to lose thousands of dollars of stuff, and my partner to lose things that were her folks (who are gone) that can’t be replaced.
There’s no excuse for what she did. And no reason we should have had to lose our property like that.
I thought they just did lien sales for people who were delinquent a few months on their bill, not because they just feel like ( sorry for the lack of a better word) being an asshole!

I am a care taker and my client recently is in need of storage for reasons undisclosed in san jose at the pectin court location and for the first few months everything seemed to be and we went about our needs at storage fine. Today we were told informed by new management that we wouldn’t be able to use the facility more than two hours per day and special hours would be subjected to only us because we had and extention cord hooked up and with a t.v. on while we attend to our needs. Also we were packing some garments that damp and we hung them outside our unit to dry before packing them up and that was an issue that cause us to be on the harass list to evict? The pervious management never told us that we couldn’t have a extension cord or that this is grounds for eviction or subject us to rude vicious verbal abuse. I went into the office and asked for a copy of the lease stating no cords or that there is a two hour limit for using the facility. My client has severe epilepsy and numerous back issues and is under a host of medications and she must take many breaks during or days at storage and I was told that public storage doesn’t have to recognize and don’t recognize the ADA act. Because it’s a storage facility! ? This is absurd and abuse and I want this guy removed from his position as a start and I will be in contact with legal representation soon! Can I get some feed back from anyone else who might have experienced such a Discrimination.

I have been a loyal good paying customer at the Hopkins Minnesota Public storage facility for over five years. recently I have noticed I do not get a courtesy for phone calls anymore if I forget to make my payment on the first of the month. Two months ago I asked the on-site manager about this.The on-site manager said she doesn’t have time to do that anymore. This mouth I went out of town on the fifth forgot to make the payment got back in town on the 11th and paid my bill online and an extra $40 late fee ,now unable to access my Storage locker because your system does not automatically update and the on-site manager is taking ia two hour lunch breakl??I’m now losing hundreds of dollars by the hour because no one is on site to let me in. And it is impossible to talk to a human Calling any of your phone numbers. As a business owner who keeps his tools locked up in a safe secure storage facility I cannot recommend nor can I see continuing using a company like public storage to safely and professionally store my belongings.

The gate at the Public storage has been stuck open since Tuesday. It has been left open 24 hours a day since it became stuck. I talked to the property managers who told me that the new district manger was on it. The new district manager tells me that since the property has cameras it should be secure. The cameras are not going to protect this property. I can’t get a solid answer on when the gate is going to be fixed. I am paying for safe storage of my property & Public Storage is not living up to it’s side of the bargain. I called corporate & they couldn’t tell me anything either, except that they would e-mail the district & area managers. I asked for the area manager’s boss & couldn’t get that information either. Extremely disappointed & angry over the customer service. I don’t like paying good money to be treated so poorly.

I tried to close my unit out yesterday, before that I emailed to corporate office in Glendale CA. about the middle of my first week in the unit— NO LIGHTS it is winter & it gets dark by 5PM, one of the long term tenant’s told me the electricity has been out in that D section for YEARS! even though there are light blubs in all the units with out electricity, when I went in with a witness to close it I was due about 3 days for the late closeing, the manager lied to me thinking I was just a stupid old lady– he said the units don’t come with electricity, so the why are there lights in the other units working at night– now he would not let me sign out the unit even though there is nothing in it now, I,m supposed to come back in to pay– but I could not get my workers to go there at night so I never got stored all of what I needed to do///////??????? help me

I would like to first start this letter off with saying that I am completely dissatisfied with your public storage facility in San Diego I used it for two months and was completely ripped off left the place on November 7 swept the place out clean the place up got everything cleaned and now being told that I am being charge for the month of December and January because I did not properly leave the door closed or open all the way or something along those lines I have tried to solve this problem with your managers and Barbara something or other I tried to call her phone repeatedly and her voicemail box is full she will not reply to my messages my emails anything and I’ve been told repeatedly that this problem cannot be resolved I am definitely going to talk to the Better Business Bureau about this I would appreciate some sort of resolution in anyway shape or form thank you

I have rented for over 10 years from the Glen Burnie,Md location. The fees have increased greatly but as long as my property was secure it was worth it. But for over a month, the entrance gate has been removed from the fence. There is now open entrance into n out of the facility. I had emailed my concern three weeks ago and received no response. I question this customer service and where is the compensation.

This ones special. It’s going to take a long time and much fantasizing about revenge. I paid for my unit last month from a company , started to move my things in and noticed a lot of construction. Didn’t receive any notice or see employees and assumed a remodel but no. Took 2 big trips during the day and then I had to work. Movers took last load and I went to work. But come to find out Public storage took over as new owners over night and with new employees. Armed with aggressive attitudes in place of what I perceive is lack of education and common sense. They locked up my unit inbetween trips but instead of charging me for a lock, placing my stuff in empty unit , or i don’t know maybe Refuse it. No! No they had the movers leave my bed and half my thing on the FLOOR OUTside my PAID unit. Then expected me to go move it myself. I wrote emails, called , and went by but their hours or the faculty I contracted with has early hours and I worked doubles at the hospital all weekend. So two days later since closed on Sunday. Well public storage isn’t but the website says it is. I call asap Monday and only things she could say AT me is ” they came and got it, it gone” lol. Who’s they? Where’s gone? Nothing but the same line over and over saying I ! Abandoned it. In front of my paid unit that She had my possessions left on floor. No sorry. No call backs. No help. Then try to send me 142$ bill for months I paid in advance

I just rented a unit over the Montclair location.all units are easy to break in.i noticed that the surveillance system is old enough not to work properly. The place is trashy you can find food left behind from tenants or staff and they don’t give a f…. to clean.i have about 10,0000 on tools and equipment. You as a corporate should go and walk the installations. I belive that this is the worst storage I have been.

I used your facilities for a little less than a year and was thoroughly dissatisfied. I’m not normally the type to write these emails, but when i was closing my account i noticed a sign on the desk that said “your goal” is 100% customer satisfaction. Well i would say that you are less than 50% at the location i used. Over the course the last 10 months, I’ve called with questions multiple times and received no call back like i was promised. I’ve had two separate occasions when i was suppose to have late access to the complex and that did not happen. Rude unprofessional service on every occasion visiting the store, never taking responsibility always trying to blame others. I work in customer service, that the last thing they should be doing. Not to mention that your company raised my rates half way through my rental…i thought that was interesting, i guess thats just how things are done with this company though. Since this is starting to drag I will spare you the details on my final visit, but just know it wasn’t good. I don’t mean this go after one person in particular, seems to be more of a team effort…or lack their of. Good luck moving forward, I will most likely be shopping elsewhere for my future storage needs.

On 12/29, I went to retrieve my storage unit at Mission Ave, Ontario, Ca. But due to a computer delay/malfunction i was unable to rent the unit, after i had hired my movers!! Their worker Ashley, accused me/ us of trying to take advantage of their $1. deal special!!! And verbally stated that i/we would be BANNED from any future specisls, because my name was listed as a emergency contact!!! This is an OUTRAGE!!! I attempted to contact the district manager 3 x today , but he refused to return my call, after telling worker he would!! “But to NO AVAIL!!” I was outrage of their MISCONDUCT & ACCUSATIONS & BANNING US from any future deals!!! I have my storage for 10 years and I used to get paid every week but now it’s every two weeks now and the deadline is on the 10th of each month well I don’t get paid on the 10th of each month and if I am late and paid on the 11th they charged me $60+ more for late fees and I keep calling and asking for a corporate number and nobody will give it to me and they’re very rude And the district manager( Dana Hill)in Santa Barbara is very rude I had told him that I dont get paid every week it’s every two weeks now and therefore I’ll be late and he says pay a A month in advance and you won’t be late i go month to month i dont have that kind of money to be paying late fee and im not even a month late if you want to look at it that way as I’ll be late no matter what I don’t get paid on the 10th of every month they think

I have rented a storage unit on Hiawatha in Mpls Mn for over 12 years. I recently left a message at executive cust service and no one returned my call. After 12 years being a good customer in excellent standing is very poor service. I did contact cust serv to negotiate a price break after over a decade as a customer. All the Public Storage locations offer all these rate discounts and I pay for these discounts as my unit costs continue to go up. Units in my area are half what I pay.
I would like to speak to someone with the power to do some price changes.

Left msg. 3 months ago regarding my unit in Naperville, IL. In the past 3 months it has been made clear that Xtreme Fire Protection, Inc are the people that destroyed my personal items. I’ve got tons of pictures, including a picture of a mans shoe print in my deceased mothers china cabinet, amongst many other issues. Xtreme has “offered” me, $400 and then $600 along with replacing a mirror. Anyway, they continue to say they are waiting for security pictures from public storage? ?? Don’t understand why their clear guilt is taking soolong.

After reading all theses negative comments on the company, it’s officers and emoyees, I realize that ALL of us should have sought customer-review information before doing business with this disreputable company. I have been cursed at, threatened and probably victimized by the Dallas,TX facility employee, and am about to file a complaint with Dallas police against the surly employee. He is dangerous and eventually will harm someone, and at least there will be a record with the police of his threatening behavior towards a female he wanted to intimidate. Good luck to everyone – if you decide to file a class-action lawsuit against Public Storage, I would be thrilled to join it.

Someone broke the door on my unit, I didn’t get a call about it until the end of the business day. I spent two hours calling the management who never got back to me after the current employee went home for the night leaving me outside in the dark with no type of solutions. Just happened to see a different employee pulling in as I was leaving ,so I asked if she was coming to help. I just found out last night October 21, 2014 my unit at 840 Hambrick Rd, Stone Mountain, GA goes into auction at 9:30 today October 22, 2014. I was told auctions are on Fridays so I wasn’t too worried. Now I’m up here trying to come up with money when most I know are working to save my stuff, what has me crying is that unit holds all the stuff from my mom who passed. I can’t get that back, I don’t need the stuff just my photos and her clothes. The lady there has always been rude and nasty, I’ve emailed the local manager and just left a voicemail. I’m praying that the stories below doesn’t become me and if my stuff is auctioned I can work something out to get my items back. Any advice please share.

I had a storage unit on 70th and talman for three years with public storage sometimes I wasllate but I still paid my bill SO this year in July I was going to pay my bill and they sold my unit without consulting me in any way no email no phone call or even a letter like they usually do two days prior to my unit being sold I called so I could see how much it was so I could pay on it they had sold it when I called back I asked then if I could get my personal items I was told I would get a call back and I could come get them the next day well that was a lie also I made numerous attempts to contact them within thirty days of my unit being sold still no contact form corporate office until two months later I don’t care about the clothes and furniture I had all I wanted was my personal items my children baby pictures and birth certificates and ss cards that’s very important to me I can’t never get those pictures back.please someone from public storage help me get my most precious items back they mean the world to me…. please contact me at d******@yahoo.com

They cut my lock off for being later by a few day my rent was pro rated and it was due on the 15 and they cut my lock on the 19 . So i left therr lock on my unit and paid for the unit and didnt pay for a new lock. So when i was ready to move out of the unit i paid for a new lock and as i was moving my stuff out i seen i was missing things and mold on things that souldnt have mold there was no water in the unit they stoled stuff out of the unit thing that were in a box were not in boxes . I had very nasty words with them after they. Cut off my lock. The cops said they cant figure out who did it because the lock was cut off in may 2014 and i removered all my stuff by sept 2014 . Im tryin to sue them and know i cant find a resident agent for michigan . So when i talked to chantel shaw she said to write out the address for the unit and put her name. The court said no that is not how it is done i have talked to corp. Office and they told me she would take care of it . Now i called Corp office and they sent me to legal her name is Ann now waiting on her call back.we will see if she calls back because chantel shaw has not i have called and left message about12 time. This company is operating fraudulently, negligently and in noncompliance. I had my unit sold to a bidder after the company refused to take my payment. That’s theft! I called the head quarter’s and the district manager immediately when they denied payment. Several hour’s later they auctioned my stotage off based on their inadequate bookkeeping. Sandy the office clerk at that location said, “I can except payment but I can’t write you a receipt”. Iasked her to just write one out she refused. Corporate finally got back with me about the call and reversed the transaction. I finally have all of my things moved out months later, but unfortunately I had possessions stolen and broken due to their bad business practices. Pure thievery! Inside corruption; I plan to file a civil case if they’re not willing to compensate for the damages of an unauthorized lien sale.

OMG I just had the same thing happen to me, I tried to make a payment the day my storage unit was to be auctioned off and they claim that the 3 cards that I tried to use were all declined. I was told that I could make a payment on that day and unfortunately ally children and my round were in that storage unit, hell it was all we had. I even tried to give them my number to give to the person that bought it to work something out which I don’t believe they did. We had important paired and everything in that unit.

I rented a unit in Farmingville, long island new york in May of this year only to cancel it two days later. Since I canceled the contract after the cutoff date, they agreed to give me partial payment and that a check would be mailed out to me within 2 weeks. After several attempts to find out the delay, I was finally in touch with a District Manager, Kevin Reilly. He assured me on two different occasions that a check was cut and sent out to me. The 3rd and final time I spoke with him he mentioned that a check was cut 2 Fridays ago and I should receive it by that following Wednesday. A week after that, I STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED THE DAMN CHECK!!!!! I left Kevin a message on Sunday, August 9th. Today is the 12th and I still haven’t heard back. I’m filing a formal complaint with the BBB and I’m making sure that every bit of social media is aware about the scam that Public Storage is running. They are a horrible company and would never recommend anyone to rent from them…EVER!!!!

I applied for a retail position at the Austin, Tx location. I am very qualified for the position as I have past office admin and presently just completed Microsoft Office 2013 software at the local community college.
I was disappointed when after speaking with Curt that he declined me the opportunity for an interview with the manager.
When I ask him why, he said it wasn’t anything I said or did. So, what was it then, I ask. He couldn’t give me any explanations.
I hope it’s not my age. I am a very physically fit, educated and experienced mature lady. There isn’t anything wrong with me.
That really looks bad on a company to discriminate a person just because they are mature! mature people are usually the managers!

Rate increases not justified. Customer Service is argumentative and double talk at Customer service center. Arrogant , David, told me he isn’t required to put adjustment policies in writing. Told me his Supervisor doesn’t talk to clients. Refused to give me mailing address for corporate headquarters and told me Executive committee doesn’t communicate with clients.This is why this Company is most hated in country. They do not send notices so you get them 30 in advance. ..justify by blaming the mails! David told me ” policy” re reductions in rates but refused to repeat it so I could write it down. Said was no written policy and they don’t have to provide one Public Storage jacks up rates for some and not others. Uses made up figures re current real estate to justify increases or maintenance costs but have no proof. Charges extra for close in units which penalizes those who need them for mobility or disabled! They are unethical and greedy corporate monopoly that
need to be b regulated and broken up !..and investigated for fraud.

I have been a on-time paying customer of PS for many years. They raise my rent EVERY year, and when I complain, they have the standard answer of “rents are based on the market rate”.
Well, this year, I get the usual letter stating my rent was going up another 10%. So, I go online and find that my exact unit is available for nearly $50 less than what they want to now charge me. In fact, for the next 3 weeks, my sized unit had a market price that was lower than my previous rent. Not only did they not at least keep my rent level, they raised it when the market price was lower.
I pointed this out to them a few times via email and they simply refused to give me the lower market rate (even though they are the ones who set the precedent of using ‘market rate’). Completely unfair. Possibly illegal. Definitely wrong.
Does anyone have email addresses and/or phone numbers for a bunch of PS’s senior management?
There definitely should be a class action suit against this company. (or some legislation to protect the consumer).

My wife and I have made multiple professional attempts to provide your lower management staff feedback on the shortage of carts for your customers. Three carts for
300+ rental spaces is not appropriate. The Facility, District and Regional Managers don’t
care and when you talk to the Customer Service Manager she has never unloaded a pickup at your facility and tried to move heavy boxes to a 2nd story down a long hallway
without a cart. Waiting 30 minutes for a cart to free up is unacceptable at $238 per month. We are moving out because of lack of understanding of your customers needs and your CEO who does not answer e-mails or phone messages. 408-221-3367

I applied for a DSM position with your company on 6/02/2014. I received an automated response email that I was not selected for an interview. My credentials far exceeded the job requirements, the base pay was acceptable which brings me to one conclusion, was it my age? I also noted that your website has no pictures of middle-aged or senior people, why? Does this company only hire kids out of high school and college?
I am a USMC Veteran, a Professional Firefighter/EMS for 15 years with a BS Fire Science/Engineering, 20+ years in Healthcare sales & management in both clinical and information technology. Does this background sound like someone who is not qualified for a District Manager position? Not deserving of a phone screen?

This company does not but jack rates to the point that you can no longer afford to pay it. Their intentions are to make sure that they can steal your property. They do NOT legally notify you that they are selling your personal property. Everybody that has ever rented from this sorry place needs to join together and file a class action suit. I owed $400.00 and that turned into almost $800.00 this was done just for them to have the ability to steal my property. I for one will not stand for it and will be filing a lawsuit against them. They will either find my property or they will pay big bucks for it one. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE THIEVES IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

After a burglary at the Public Storage Unit(s) I rented in Dallas, Texas, I found out the hard way about the fraudulent policy that Public Storage has for demanding that you have Insurance before you rent a unit and how the pressure to obtain the Insurance from the company they partner with, is a rip off. The insurance will not pay for a thing that was stolen out of my unit and now the insurance management group AND public storage representatives are placing the blame on me for not reading a copy of the policy. The paperwork I signed and the $14-$11 a month I am charges WITH my Unit fee, is a part of the Rental Agreement and thus assumed required when the agreement is signed. Please, please beware of this policy and read ITEM #6 in the rental agreement before signing. This money that you pay over and above the unit rental is going somewhere and all this smacks of fraud.

Have threatening to kill my husband b.g. with a weapon, as well being two men being there to as well full beat him to death ,and three men that one workers,name is joe he just had two men meaning joe’s room mate/co-work male, as well as a gang member, two men with joe himself threatening my husband dude to there own twisted drug issued well as to let guys know wreally doing be hind your back in the first place!!! And now manager joe telling my husband that he will me the storage user kill us both and our family and our dogs too. Just because he has one to two dogs of his own, just because my husband choose not to want to talk to the storage manager cause of own personal issues and now joe just terminate my storage unit and joe knows that my unit c-341 is paid full on a monthly basics,by my repayee every month and on time. if you need to know any more information,please call me on my cellphone. Oh as well joe is telling me to clear out my storage unit dude to his own issue just cause my husband has right using and say his disabled rights by federal laws of the ada act 1990,cause we any disabled persons feel death threats from Joe storage manager worker and by other co-workers.any person with any type of disability has right to say there disability rights by federal law and and that is no threath to no person..
And meaning as well no storage manager has no right to threaten any disability person even that my husband has P.T.S.D. and also has brain head trama injury which very serious dude to medical doctors. Now known joe he’ll say and do anything to tell you guys that he himself will i’ve never less i joe never said those words to him and never physically threatening him in the first place named bg,which will be full lie… we known joe himself is hiding two dogs???
