Rapids Water Park was founded in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1979. Originally the site occupied only 4 acres and had 4 water slides, it has expanded to become one of the largest water parks in Florida.
The park now occupies 25 acres and has approximately 400,000 visitors each year. There are three categories of rides, broken down into Biggest Rides, such as Big Thunder and Raging Rapids, Coolest Rides, such as Baby Blue and Pirates Plunge, and Wettest Rides, including Lazy River and Barefootin’ Bay. There are a total of 36 water rides or water features.
The park has been used in films and music videos. The movie Donnie Brasco has a scene with a water slide from Rapids Water Park, and rap singer Trina shot her music video for Pull Over, at the park. Jersey Shore producers were turned down when they requested to film at the park.

We drove 1 hour and a half 2 different days, and just because it thunder twice they decided to close down the water park. Waste of time. It wasn’t even raining at all. They need to work on that. Water parks in Miami and Orlando do not do that.

My entire family are rapids season pass holders for the 5th year, we have been coming to rapids since 1999 faithfully. We have been actively freely advertising for you through word of mouth bringing many guest. Today June 22 something happened at rapids that had my family and i feeling very upset. We got there at 3:30pm after driving over one hour from home planning to enjoy from 3:30 to 7pm. We only found out at the entrance that the park was closing at 4pm. Being a season pass holder in the future I would expect that rapids being a serious bussiness that rapids would send out an email letting us know that the park was going to close early. I would like to hear from someone in regards to this concern.
Thanks
