His parents own a restaurant in Dever, so Kahlon decided not to be in competition with his parents’ restaurant, so he chose Aurora, rather than Denver. The restaurant was 2 years in the making, as Kahlon wanted to avoid products that used artificial colors or flavors. The restaurant is also well known for being gluten free.

While Monsoon Cuisine of India does not offer a buffet, like many Indian restaurants, it does offer take out, delivery, as well as taking reservations. Beer and wine are served, but no hard liquor. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday.
