McDonald’s began in 1940 when Richard and Maurice McDonald opened a restaurant in San Bernardino, California.
In 1948, the brothers introduced the Speedee Service System, similar to the White Castle plan, which was the beginning of “fast food”.
In 1955, Ray Kroc opened the 9th location (a franchise). Kroc would later purchase the company from the brothers.
The original mascot was a chef wearing a large chef’s hat. This was replaced by the golden arches everyone knows today in 1962.
While the current organization credits Ray Kroc with the “founding” of the company in 1955, McDonald’s already had 8 locations when Kroc came to work for the company. Kroc later purchased the McDonald brothers’ equity in the company and began work on the company’s worldwide reach. Kroc was recorded as being an aggressive business partner, driving the McDonald brothers out of the industry.
In 1965, the company went public on the NYSE under the ticker symbol MD.
In 1967, Ronald McDonald was created as the company mascot.
The chain mostly sells hamburgers, fries, and drinks, however, it also offers chicken sandwiches and strips, fish burgers, wraps, salads, and vegetarian items, such as black bean “burgers”. The company is well known for its children’s meals, which they call “Happy Meals”. Along with Happy Meals, most restaurants offer children friendly playgrounds, indoor or outdoor, and occasionally, both.
Starting in 2009, the company began offering free Wi-Fi to its customers. McDonald’s restaurants are found in 120 countries and territories around the world and serve 68 million customers each day. At the end of 2016, the company operates 36,899 restaurants worldwide and employs more than 375,000 people. The company saw huge earnings in the first quarter of 2019, mainly due to a new menu item, Donut Stixs, and the ability to add bacon as a side to any order.
At the same time, the company announced that it would be reducing the number of items on their Late Night menu.
McDonald’s restaurants around the globe are phasing out plastic straws in exchange for paper ones. This has caused the old plastic straws to suddenly become “collectors” items on eBay, some selling for as much as $1300.
Yahoo listed McDonald’s as #1 on its list of America’s Most Hated Food Chains list of 2020.
Today, the company is the world’s largest hamburger chain. There are over 33,000 locations in 119 countries worldwide. McDonald’s corporate office is located in Oak Brook, Illinois.

To: McDonald’s Corporation Complaint Department
Yesterday, Sunday, December 8, 2019 I visited your location number 1408 located at 255 Route 130, Bordentown, New Jersey 08505 —-I placed my order for Hotcakes Only and presented a coupon for .99 cents. I asked the cashier if I could get an additional side order of 1 sausage patty. I was shocked to see that I was charged $1.39 for one slice of sausage. Reading the store menu I noticed that Hotcakes with sausage were priced at $3.89 and Hotcakes without sausage was priced at $3.29. A difference of .60 cents. At issue here is the cost of a single slice of sausage. To charge me $1.39 for a slice in outrageous. Especially when the difference between hotcakes with sausage or without sausage is only .60 cents. I believe that is logical thinking. Charging me a cost of $1.39 for a single slice of sausage represents an increase in cost of .79 cents or a 56.83% increase. This is a poor business practice and is unfair to your customers. I realize that I was getting a good price break with use of the .99 cents coupon. But the issue in not about the price of the hotcakes. It is about the excessive charge for a single slice of sausage. I am unhappy and would like to speak to someone in top management regarding this matter. Thank you. David Wriggins from Bordentown, New Jersey

I am tired of Tyco Security/Johnson Controls calling me at all hours of the day to say that an alarm at a McDonalds Company owned store has tripped. It is obvious that there is a breakdown in security and safety procedures among other thing s with the Company. Have contacted the Company previously on this issue but they would not even acknowledge receipt of said contact.

This morning, for breakfast, our family went in to the McDonalds at NC Highway 226 South, Spruce Pine, North Carolina #10363. We had 8 people in our party. I placed the order for (1 free hotcakes and sausage), the rest of my order was 4 orders for Breakfast Burrito Meals, 1 side of sausage, 1 Big Breakfast meal, 1 Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddle, 1 Large sweet tea. My order was $29.17. I stated we were dinning in, however, our order was packed in a bag. I took our order to our table and passed the food to each person. Our family always waits until all is served and we say blessings before any food is opened from the papers. We were missing one (1) burrito. I returned to the counter and mentioned we were short one burrito. The manager said, “No you’re not, I put eight (8) burritos in the bag and I know it.” I informed her, “Would you please come to the table and count them? We are missing one burrito!” I returned to my table waiting for her to come over after several minutes I did make my voice loud and stated, “I know how to count to eight (8) I graduated high school and college and have no problem counting.” She finally came to the table and counted each burrito and I stated, “If you want you can search our purses and coats!” She again said, “I know I counted (8) burritos!” She went back to her area of work, returned to our table and threw a burrito on our table. As she turned from our table she loudly said, “Why don’t you put in an application if you think you can do the job better!” At that I informed her, “I am retired law enforcement and I’ve put in my years working, I’m 70 years old and I don’t appreciate your attitude.” she replied, “You are the one with the ‘tude’ and you just need to get out!” I know the store manager and I will be going in to speak with her in the morning.

I am very disappointed in your company there is an article circulating on Facebook from a first responders named Anthony Quinn who stopped in uniform at the McDonalds 650 150th Ave Madeira Beach Florida and he was told they do not serve any first responders at their store and the person refused to take their orders. At a time when we depend heavily on these people to come to our rescue, your employee states your company policy is not to serve or take their orders. I would hope your CFO would take an interest in undercover investigations of this store because reputations are easy to loose in this business climate, even in fast food. Shame on that Madeira Beach employee and if this is true, I hope they never need emergency service.

I understand that your company has supported Donald Trump for president and will likely support him in the future. Donald Trump is a racist, bigoted, fascist. If you continue to support Donald Trump for president, then I will do everything I can do to encourage my friends and neighbors to boycott McDonald’s. Your commercials seem to imply that McDonald’s is inclusive of all ethnicities, however, by supporting Donald Trump your actions say otherwise. Please discontinue your support for Donald Trump both publicly and privately.

Mertle Beach Fla. McDanald’s . Discraceful .
A man see a homeless guy on the street across from Mc’Donalds and asked him to go in to the resturant with him and he bought him some food . The manager called the cops after they sat to eat and had the lady cop come and tell the homeless guy that was eating the food they sold them , he had to leave , For NO REASON . Other than the Manager did not want a homeless person eating in there . He either had to take his food and get out or be arrested for tress passing . The man that bought him the food tried to ask why he was asked to leave the food is paid for and the homeless guy has the right to eat there as well as anyone .
The manager treated them both badly and should be fired .
It’s up to your company to complain to the Police Dept and tell them anyone that has paid for food in any McDonald’s has the right to eat it inside or on the property of McDonald’s .
The Owner of the Mc’Donalds should lose the Franchise .
Until this matter and taken care of and the manager and the owner are delt with I will not eat in any Mc’Donalds anywhere .
This is going viral on Facebook and twitter . Mc’Donald’s can’t out last this type of bad behavior by any Employee of any Franchise owner or Manager .
Email me back when you decide to take action against that Mc’Donald’s . Or call 207-344-XXXX .
I’m 67 Years old and have never seen such discusting treatment of a poor person and a guy that was giving a gift of food to a homeless person .
This is Shamful . I will do my best to see that Millions see this and take the same action against Mc’Donald’s .

Why do all you people on this site bother sending complaints to McDonald’s? I found out a long time ago that the CEO would care less about customers (except that he gets richer every year as the franchise expands), and “tokens” are handed out to some who continue to complain. He does not read or care about complaints personally!
McDonald’s FIRST & ONLY GOAL is $$$, not to keep customers happy.

McDonald’s is such a terrible restaurant that has completely gone down the tube. Case in point McDonalds located in Long Island City, NY. The exact location is 32-55 31st St. This place is soo gross. It is literally sprinkled with pervs and in addition to that absolutely atrocious employees, mostly the Supervisor Carlos. This guy I don’t know who hired him but big mistake. The food leaves much to be desired, there is no reason return to this McDonalds or any other McDonalds for that matter. I refused to eat McDonald’s ever again due to a bad experience at this store and have since replaced McDonald’s with Wendy’s. The quality of food and service is like night and day.

I went to the McDonald’s Store in Powell, WY. It is sad when they can’t ever get an order right. I order the bacon smokehouse with no condiments or sauces on it. They did not know what a condiment was. What part of no sauces didn’t they get? When I got home, of course, the sticker on my sandwiches said no bacon or onion sauce, but the sandwiches had these nasty sauces. You get tired of never getting what you ordered. I will not be a customer any more.

The McDonalds located at 32-55 31st St, Long Island City, NY 11106 has the worst food and the worst customer service. Management there is garbage. The Manager Carlos is a disgrace and has no business working at any fast food establishment. McDonald’s Corporate is a joke and does not take its customer seriously. They do not respond to complaints and are managed by High School drop outs. If you like poor customer service with equally poor food then head to this McDonalds

I’ve had been eating at this location 1450 Rocky Creek Rd, Macon Georgia for many years, and it was good but lately Every time I go there I’m disappointed , they take very long time to take orders and give your food on the drive thru, I work and live near by this location so its convenience for me to grab something quick.
my lunch break is short, so I cant understand some days are busier than others, but every time the waiting line its too much. ALSO HOW IS IT THAT THE FRAPPE MACHINE IS ALWAYS DOWN? EVERY SINGLE TIME I ASK FOR ONE I GET THE SAME ANSWER OF ” OUR MACHINE IS DOWN” . I don’t know if it’s really down or too lazy to want to do it, or fix it!…. I eat very often here because its convenience for me since its on my way home and work. but I AM so disappointed at this location !!!!!.
Been this locations the closest one for me and my family I wish they will get better at this little things that affects thousands.
thank your for your time.

Good afternoon; I am writing this comment in an effort to personally commend two of your Wilmington, North Carolina 28405, store number 10472. Specifically, employee Shareka Simpson and Joslyn Corbett were intrinsically involved in confidentially securing my debit card that I mistakenly left in the debit machine at Mcdonalds.
It was an early morning transaction, the store was very crowded/busy and anyone could have stolen and used my card; yet the two employees made it their personal commitment by attempting their hardest to notify me that I had left my card. I had large amount of funds in my account and the account is also connected to many of my creditors. Therefore, the lost and/or replacement would have been time consuming to replace and detrimental to my financial safety, security and success!
Not only did both employees try initially to contact me and return my card without any security violations, they secured my card in the company safe which resulted in my card being secure, returned, and kept me sane. When contacted, they were honest and asked me several security that questions that assured I was the original card holder. I already adored Mcdonald’s food, but now your employees/organization has instilled in me that their are still good people/companies and honest bussiness still in existence and keeping maintenance that the customer is important. I am extremely dedicated to Shareka and Joslyn! Please echoe my sentiments to both employee and extend all/other(s) awards and accomodations available to honest and professional employees.

I am from Portland, Tx and I am complaining about the service and the lack of cleanliness in this restaurant. I have two separate complaints..
1. On or about February 04, 2018 in the evening, I had ordered a double cheeseburger without onions. As I headed out of town, I began to eat my burger. After a couple of bites, I discovered the burger had a few onions, they had scraped the onions off instead of making another burger.
2. On or about March 03, 2018, I again considered eating at this McDonalds, this time I ordered a double fish sandwich, as I bit into the sandwich, the bread was gummy as if it had been microwaved or overheated and did not tear as I bit into it.
On this same day, the restaurant was extremely dirty and water covered entire floor in front of the soda machines.
This Location will no longer service my family and friends. TERRIBLE

There is one of your establishments not to far from us . In fact we go there a lot. BUT, there is a joke circulating about it too. It goes something like this:
A man goes through the drive in and says: “Give me a bag of food”, the McDonald’s clerk says “Excuse Me. What is it you would like to order?”
The man says “Just give me a bag of food, You will mess up the order anyway”.
I usually laugh until yesterday.
My son-in-law tried ordering a double burger with mushrooms. Over and over again. He was pretty sure they were not understanding his order and he asked “ are you for sure you understand?”. He was assured that the order was taken and all ok.
When he got home, sat down at the table and opened his box, there was the bun, NO MEAT, but mushrooms. The bill said; “no meat”; now, why would he go to McDonalds and not get meat on his sandwich?
Guess the joke is pretty close to the truth. Huh?

I got a call from local McDonald’s on my case ref#:14260900. I am not happy! The lady was rude to me and basically told me it’s my fault that I was drinking McDonald’s sweet tea overloaded with sugar for years. I did not realize that it will become a problem for me in 10 years. Now when I am addicted to sugar as a result of it she said it’s my choice. Addiction is a sickness that I am very upset that now my body cannot be satisfied with the lower level of sugar in sweet tea that you changed recently. I am not happy how Mcdonald’s is handling my case! I am expecting a better customer service from McDonald’s rather than “sorry it’s all your fault and choice”/ My problem is not just with local store but with the whole chain of McDonald’s where customers like me got blind cheated into sugar addiction. I think that corporate has to take responsibility of that! Also there’s no information (warning!) on the amount of sugar in a single serving for sweet tea (large is the size that I normally order)

I am writing today because I believe you cannot fix a problem you don’t know about. We stopped by the McDonalds on Hwy 441 Leesburg fl Saturday for an ice cream cone. When we ordered the price came back $2.59 instead of the posted amount of $2.00 plus tax for a total of $2.14 we explained to the salesperson that price was wrong and were told it would be corrected and please drive around. When we got to the window we were told the price was correct but the sign was wrong. When we explained we were. Sorry but we pay the posted amount not a figure they wish to charge. She proceeded to get the manager who told us that was the price and they just hadn’t gotten around to changing the the sign. After several minutes of argument and his realizing we were going to tie up their drive thru until it was corrected he changed the total adding “I can’t believe you are making a fuss over .51”. This is not the first time this happened at this particular location. We also had the same incident several weeks earlier but it was handled professionally. Makes one wonder how you stay in business so long.

Gentlemen:
I am writing because you are an advertiser, and therefore a supporter, of the NFL. I am very disturbed and offended by the actions of many of the players with their refusal to stand for the playing of our national anthem. These players should realize that this may be the only country that would allow a group of overbuilt, overpaid crybabies to express their opinion by disrespecting it’s flag and national anthem. While it is their right to do so, I also have rights and intend to exercise them. First, I will no longer attend nor will I watch, on TV, any of the NFL games. Secondly, should you continue to support this behavior, I will no longer purchase your product. When you decide not support these misdirected fools I will reconsider. Until then I will make my purchases from a competitor who is more respective of our country’s symbol and values.

I see people out there panhandling all the time but nothing is ever done to them. I am getting a lawyer so be prepared to be taken to court. My phone number is 864525XXXXX.

On Sunday, October 29, 2017 around 8:30AM; I stopped at the 87-2028 Farrington Highway, Waianae HI. 96792 (808-668-4700) McDonald’s. I was at the drive through and ordered the breakfast burrito meal with no cheese and 2 small coffees. The lady assisting me said, all burritos come with cheese. I told her I have ordered burritos with no cheese in the past and had no issues. She said something in between her teeth, didn’t really understand, they she said what else? I told her that was it. When I arrived at the first window the gentle men repeated my order; I made sure he said burritos with no cheese. When I arrived at the second window a nice lady was there together with the shift manager. The lady gave me my order saying burrito with extra cheese and one with no cheese. I reply; I ordered both burritos with no cheese. The shift manager looked at me like if I was crazy, snatched the order bag from my hands and said do you want extra cheese? I repeated no, I ordered both burritos with no cheese. She told “you need to park your car, your order is to complicated and needs to be done by order.” I asked her how long will it be, I have to take my son to his football practice. Shift manager said, about 1 to two minutes. I agree to wait. Five minutes past then 10 minutes. My mother in law decided to go inside the McDonald’s to ask about the burrito. when she return back to the car. She said the Burrito was just sitting there on the counter and that the Shift manager smirk when she saw her.
I have been to this McDonald’s plenty of times and I have never experience such horrible customer service; specially from a shift manager. I am also a manager and we need to lead by example.

It tastes like its mixed with coffee, or its very old… I have complained to store manager and she says everybody makes it different…… when I make at home it is always the same way.. don’t understand, also most of the time the lid is not on very good. When the lid comes off and spills on me I wont have to come in and complain they will hear me from parking lot.

I stopped going to the McDonalds on Commerce Ave LaGrange, GA because every time I go normally 5:45 am to 6 am they never have anything that you want. This morning I ordered a medium diet coke and mocha, I got the diet coke and was asked to pulled up they had to make the mocha well 10 minutes later I have to get out of the car and go back to the window and asked where the mocha was and was told I’m sorry we are out of mocha (no one made any effort to come and tell me) so ask if I could get my money back and was told yes, so I ask if they would bring it to the car and was told yes, well 10 minutes later I still haven’t gotten my money so I have to get out of the car and go back to the window again and ask where my money is and I could hear them in the background say oh she still out there. Well I wasn’t going to leave without my money finally after another 10 minutes someone comes out with my money, I ask for a manager’s name and number and was given a number that was disconnected or had been changed. This is terrible and I will never go back to that McDonalds again.

the gentleman, I use that term loosely about him, that owns all the McDonalds franchise here is Chico needs to be admonished. He berated an elderly gentleman, a veteran at one of his McDonalds. In front of a large number of students from the local high school. He was cursing, and dropping the “eff”, bomb all at this elderly man. Why? because the man took his own coffee cup inside. He still paid for a cup, never used it, but paid for it non the less. The guy is an absolute jerk. I have not been to Mickey D’s since. Nor have my children. I will not support such a jerk. I know it is a small thing, but it is the only thing I can do.

The McDonald’s at 18320 Wright st in omaha nebraska no longer has styrofoam cups starting 5 weeks ago. We were told McDonald’s eliminated them corporately. We have since been to Kansas City and Sarasota FL and they have them at those locations. When it’s hot not the summer the thin plastic cups just don’t work. We have since been bringing our own cups. Is this true or just a way for the mgt company to cut costs??
Very dissapointed with the decision.
Thanks the site to send feedback.

I was just at the McDonalds in Jefferson ‘s 30549. I ordered chicken nuggets and a double stack and it took 23 minutes to get these 2 items. This is not fast food. This is the kind of wait time I would expect if I were at Zaxbys. This is a continued pattern. I also experience this at the Braselton Ga store. I ordered a McChicken and when I got home the chicken was missing. I’m not expecting anything I just wanted to inform you as your loosing money due to the time it takes to ish one order out.

I ate a South West Salad from McDonald On August 11, 2016 and I became very ill from it to the point that I was occupying a bed in North Shore Medical Hospital in North Miami Florida for 8 days. I was to the point that I could not move, the nurse had to assist me in using the bed pain and they had to bathe me. I was pumped up on all types of pain killers for 8 days. I called McDonald from my hospital bed on Saturday August 20 telling them that I was in the hospital because of a salad that I ate from their establishment. I told McDonald’s manager on 610 N.E 125th Street in North Miami Florida which hospital I was too and I gave them my name address and phone number for reference thinking they would immediately check to see if I was telling the truth; no one did anything.
While I was in the hospital, I lost control of my ability to sit up, to stand, to walk and I had to learn how to walk all over again with assistance from a therapist daily. I was not able to use the restroom. I had to ring the bell near the bed for assistant on lifting my behind to get on a bed pan to urinate or to do my number two. When I left the hospital, I was on a walker and taking pain pills (oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-3 mg tabs) for the pain that I was still experiencing that lasted for weeks after being on my on at home. McDonald never got in contact with me from the call I made to them while in the hospital. The doctors told me that if I had not come into the hospital when I did, I could have died from the complications.
This happened last year and have not received any assistance from McDonald or acknowledgement that I was in the hospital from eating that salad. They are trying to make up every excuse possible to not assist me with the bill….the bills are now in default and they are telling me to stop sending letters to the McDonald Corporation about what happened to me. They are also told me that they have not paid anything on the bills. I am in totally shocked that they know that I was sicken and hospitalized for eight days from eating their South West Salad nd then they concoted a reason for not accepting their blame.
Now a talking head from McDonald Amerisure Insurance is telling me that I am being denied help on those bills using a story they have concotted together even thought they have my medical records from North Shore Hospital stating that McDonald’s food was the only food in my system at the time. McDonald has no accountability at all for selling tainted food to their customers; it’s not fair.

i went to a McD franchise in Chippenham Wiltshire UK. Ordered several meals which were only consistant for their poor quality. All were delivered cold. wrote several times to customer service UK and asked that the francise manager contacts me so that I can advise him of the poor quality food that is being sold. that was 2 months ago, and despite several follow up emails I’m still waiting. Ive written to the local community newspaper and hopefully they will run an article. My question is does McD really care about what quality of food their francise is serving? do they consider their customers at all? I fear that the answer to both questions is now no.. its a pity what a once great brand has become..

Hello, My name is Mike Hinkle. I contact you today about one of your General Managers, Sherri Timmons. I’ve worked for the McDonalds corporation six different times. Most recently for one of the top one hundred stores in the nation (Canon City, CO) for the Napier McD’s. Prior to that I had worked at the Sumter SC, Peach Orchard Rd (441) location on five different occasions for various GM’s. I was hired three weeks ago back at the 441 location – after working three days being told each day when to report for the next shift, three days went by without any contact as when to report again – So I went to the store and gave Sherri my number again and she said she would be texting me when to come in. After another five days went by with me stopping by the store just to eat – and not being told to come in (now eight days since last shift) I figured that for whatever sherries reasoning I didn’t have a job & set up to move back to New Mexico. Then two days later (10 days now without working or contact) I got a call from a shift mngr. saying they would need me to come in, in two more days on Tues. I’ve already set my plan to move … so I won’t be working for Mr. Sensor’s McDonalds anymore. I might have reversed my plans to leave but the mismanagement by the GM (0f a store that she’s supposed to be bringing back in performance- having just took back over the store about a month ago) made my decision for me. When I applied recently at 441 I applied for maintenance (the position being advertised online as needing to be filled). At my previous McD’s I was managing maintenance & after i took over that dept. the corporate scores steadily improved until my leaving at which point their scores in the dept. went down. During my interview process Sherri informed me that maintenance was not a position that needed filled. This left me wondering why would they advertise they need a maintenance man when they didn’t. The third day i worked (being put on grill – not my most experienced position) I noticed a young boy who was asking how to make a proper mop bucket. After asking a few of the other employees I found out he was new on maintenance. Now I can’t seem to understand why a GM would do a disservice to two positions … take someone who is more than capable of doing maintenance & put them in the grill .. & take someone who knows nothing of maintenance and put them their. All the while lieing to her employees. I don’t believe that you build a good team who will work for you, believe in you, and do whatever is necessary to make their store successful by lieing to your team and allowing almost half a month to go by without letting them know what’s going on with their work schedule & therefor their money flow. Also Sherri de-means her employees daily & encourages her mngrs to do the same. I don’t wish to work at a place where i will be verbally attacked by the GM & other mngrs. She is creating a culture of “us & them” amongst her employees & mngmnt. After working in a McD’s that functions correctly I can’t go back to this. I remember when I was 17(15 yrs ago) when I worked for Sherri & she would throw chicken nuggets at people not moving fast enough for her, & she had a military police whistle – she would get about an inch from your ear and blow it … I had hoped that things were different now, but it looks like business as usual for Sherri Timmons. Please check all the facts that I’ve presented to you today – the corporate scores for the Colorado store should be easy enough to check & really think is Sherri Timmons General Manager Material… Is she someone that you want leading your stores, your culture, your people & both the employees and the corporations future.
Feel free to contact me … Mike Hinkle 575-741-XXXXX or mikehnkl at yahoo.com

Hello. I went thru Mc Donalds drive thru here in Mahomet, Il. It was by far the worse time i have been there. I ordered my food, before i left the window i checked my little boys sandwich and it was not plain. So i immediately told the guy about it. So he handed me another bag, So i pull up to make sure i have all my fries…ect…and the sandwich he gave me was actually a sausage biscuit. So i went back around and let them know they messed up again. Well as i waited for the car in front of me, i decided to eat my holiday pie before it got too cold. There was no filling! So when i got to the window i let them know about both of them. I gave him back all the pies and the sausage biscuit. I looked at the pie box and it was 4 hours old. Inside of my pie was evaporated…he told me to pull forward for my burger and pies, and that is was going to take 12 minutes. Ok, I have 3 bags of food that had to set for 12 minutes to wait on THEIR mistake? It wasnt right. So by the time i got home with my familys food and drinks they were all cold and nasty. I had to throw it all away and just made something else. Note that i have 3 eager children wanting their chicken nuggets, burgers and fries. I had very upset babies. I have worked food places. We always made our customers fresh food and not make them keep the food and have to wait 12 minutes for a mistake we made. And also a complimentary drink while they waited. I have emailed you on the actual site a few times. For some reason when it comes to submit it will not go thru. But if i push cancel it goes through….Please email me back. THanks

Dear to Whom It May Concern,
I am Charles Aiken from Auburn, New York. I am an employee at restaurant #3805 on West Genesee Street in Auburn as well. I have parents who have mental disabilities and cannot work. I am their only provider in the household. I do not own a vehicle and I do not commute to work by driving. I am forced to use public transportation or walking as a means to get to my shifts because I have a disability that prevents me from driving but also I do not have the financial means to own a vehicle. Commuting to work is even more difficult when winter weather arrives. During the holiday season, many people have to commute in often terrible conditions during the months of winter. People still drive to their destination very carefully during their holiday too. The holidays are here again. It’s time where everyone enjoys meals, gifts, decorations, laughs; and most importantly, time with loved ones and families! I feel that the holidays should be enjoyed by everyone who works for the company. I realize that McDonald’s has made some strides to improve employee loyalty and integrity. I highly appreciate all that the company does to provide us with free meals, pay raises, promotions, paid time off, and free uniforms, and more. However, I feel there needs to be more improvement in regards to holidays. In particular the most important two of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I feel they should be allowed to be closed early or the entire day. I also understand that millions of Americans work during the holidays, such as emergency services for when danger or health problems occur. Other American workers have employment in nursing homes, hospitals, and prisons for people who face tough and extreme unfortunate cirXXXXstances in their lives. Some also work in convenience stores and gas stations for when travelers have tough commutes. I write to you because I wish to suggest to let all our employees have the privilege of enjoying our holidays with our loved ones. McDonald’s Corporation is one of the best companies to work for in the world! I am so grateful to be a member of your family! I am proud to be a part of the company’s worldwide success! I wish to see our company be even better if the company allowed it’s employees to enjoy the holidays! Thank you so much for all that you have done for us and I hope to hear from you soon! I wish you happy holidays to you and your families!
Sincerely,
Charles Aiken

About 2 weeks after Veterans Day, we celebrate another National holiday, Thanksgiving Day – when we are reminded of the Mayflower pilgrims. It would be most appropriate for McDonalds to display in their restaurants ‘reminders” of the first such celebration, which was held by the Pilgrims of the Plymouth Colony in the fall of 1621 as a day of thanks-giving to God.
Seanmar says
Since Veterans Day is only 3½ weeks from now, I suggest that McDonalds prominently display in its many restaurants the U.S. flag and other national symbols, thereby expressing the chain’s recognition and appreciation of all the men and women who HONORABLY served in our nation’s defense forces.

This is about the Beaver, WV McDonalds. This is the second complaint I have made about this McDonalds. I don’t know why but it was better before they remodeled it. Its not the food that I have a problem with its the service. Its like the people don’t know what they are doing. There Is one girl that works the register in the morning that knows what she is doing other than that it is terrible. From the people that work the drive thru or inside. I don’t understand it. So I went in Tuesday night and they had one person taking orders and filling them. The lady in front of me didn’t get a hamburger patty on her cheeseburger. I was there 30 min to get 2 hamburgers and a order of fries. I went there tonight and got coffee and got on the road and it was cold. I just don’t understand how you can’t hire and train people. Sorry just had to put it out there 🙁

I have a complaint about the amount of cheese McDonald’s puts on their fish sandwiches…a half piece of cheese. It’s not even as big as the piece of fish. And when I asked for a whole piece, I was charged 40¢ extra. My cheeseburger had a whole piece of cheese, why not my husband’s fish sandwich? This may seem silly but I’d like an answer. And a whole piece of cheese!

McDonalds should make it easier for disabled customers to get served in its restaurants.

Dear Officers:
On June 15, Wednesday, I ate at McDonald’s on W. King St, near Umbrella Works(250 W. King).
The receipt is non-readable, so I do not have the store info.
I ordered a fish sandwich, fries, white milk, and decaf.
It was the worst McDonald’s food I have ever had.
The roll was dry. The fries were stale. The coffee was just horrible.
On a positive note, the staff was great with how they treated me.
Hopefully, you will improve the food and drink at this store.
Thank you.
Monroe Manager says
I have been working for McDonald’s off and on for over 20 years different stores. 9 months ago I went to the Monroe, Ohio store to work and I have found that compared to the last time I worked there from March 2002 to February 2006 that the store attitudes have changed. The store is owned by someone new now and there are a lot of things that went down. For example, Sunday May 29th 2016 I had a certified manager by the name of Ashley decided she was going to scream at me for asking a third time about a Buttermilk Crispy Sandwich order that was marked special order. After the crew member who was working with me in the grill station had asked twice with no answer I spoke up as the department manager at that point and had asked them again for the third time. The certified manager in charge had yelled at me disrespectfully about it then was questioning my integrity as a manager. Then just last night had spoken with the D.O. named Jim and told him my side of the story. He claims that I was completely in the wrong and failed to follow directions or so the paper had said. For the entire 9 months I have been nothing but been bullied or been made to feel as if I am not significant enough to work at that location. After this experience I do not plan to go back nor do I plan to work for another McDonald’s ever again. My physician even told me its best not to go back. I am always feeling lifeless and tired. I always felt as if I didnt fit in with them. It just seems that even the new store manager lets them get away with it. Sorry but the bullying and disrespect must be stopped here. This far no farther. This is why I am making this complaint.

This is an example of how well this company is doing. Please be aware I already have contacted the State of Michigan as it is possible a company store is charging the wrong prices for your products. I will be very blunt; this is not a example of what an organization should be doing to engage customer loyalty.
February 23, 2016 approximately 5:30 pm went to McDonald’s at 10945 W Grand River Hwy Grand Ledge, MI 48837 using drive up window. Ordered a large milk shake and checked order. It was $2.99 plus tax for $3.17 total. Sign at drive up said $2.69 not the $2.99 as I pointed out. Told the voice the total was wrong as sign said $2.69 not $2.99. Told by voice the sign was wrong. I demanded the correct total using what was posted be charged to me. Told it could not be done. Demanded to speak with Manager (term used very lightly) and told to drive up to first window. Manager told me the sign was wrong and I would have to pay the $2.99. I refused stating the State of Michigan states what is posted is what will be paid. Manager again stated nothing could be done about it due to the computer or such issue. Told me if I did not like it I could take my business down the street. ( at least three times) Manager told me I should leave. I initially refused as want my order and again told if you do not like it take your business down the street and leave as I was blocking the drive. Told manager I would call Corporate and basically told so”so what” and told to take my business down the street. I left.
Now not only is this store charging the wrong prices for a beverage it is reusing to deal with the problem and showing absolute rudeness to a fairly loyal customer. I did contact a lady at the phone number on the web site who was very pleasant and cooperative. I will be contacted shortly to get a “resolution” she assured me. Quite frankly I am not happy and feel this needs to be addressed at the location of the store. There is an obvious problem in both pricing and the treatment of customers especially when told to take your business down the street if you do not like it. Well, I do not like it and I am not going to be treated in this manner. I suggest something to be done about this matter and soon as I have made a few complaints and posting which are not very flattering about your company. Now, if this was you would you be satisfied with the treatment I received? This manager needs to be fired and her boss needs to be retrained as these is not the type of individuals who support the Corporate culture of your organization. I did not appreciate the treatment I received nor am I going to be told to take my business down the street if I am standing up for my rights.
The State of Michigan Customer Protection division has also been contacted to investigate possible posting of wrong pricing and then not honoring the correct price. I am not going to be treated in this manner and I would suspect neither would you. The management of this store needs to be replaced. I would think that McDonald’s would have this rude manager fired and a letter of apology issued about her treatment of me. Being given free food as a settlement of this matter is not feasible as stronger measures need to be taken at this store and the management.
Follow up on this matter. Contacted by the owner of this McDonald’s on 2-25-16 and offered a simple apology. Nothing more, nothing less which added insult to injury. No “we will take care of this matter so it will not happen in the future, no, we are retraining the manager,” just a simple apology. I told her I was really insulted by the actions of her staff and by her approach to this problem. Told by this individual ”I am sorry you feel this way” which is very condescending and demeaning. I told this individual I did not like being told to get my ass down the street and was told the language of “ass” was inappropriate. I am certain ass is not a swear word and far more colorful language is used in McDonald’s Board rooms.
I feel this manager needs to be fired, period. The owner needs a few lessons on handling conflicts as this. Yes, perhaps I need to be a little more diplomatic but when told to “ go down the road if you do not like it” is very insulting, period. When told the owner that I was concerned about the incorrect pricing I was told it was a mistake and was rectified. I asked a simple question that “if it was a mistake then why was it not corrected when I brought it to the manager’s attention. “A reasonable explanation was not given only “I’m sorry you feel this way.” Repeat “ I am sorry you feel this way.” This is really an appropriate apology. HA HA HA! Maybe a news outlet would like to hear about this incident.
I think this need to seriously about this situation as a bad experience as this sends shock waves throughout the Corporate system and needs to be dealt with and not swept under the rug with a “I am sorry you feel this way.”

This is the response I got from McDonald’s on 3-25-16 after I emailed them a second time. Good customer relations of this: A simple cover out a** e-mail and to hell with you.
Hello Gordon:
Thanks again for re-contacting us. We did receive your email and did respond at that time. Here’s the information that we wanted to provide you:
I have talked with the owner’s organization of the restaurant and shared your letter with them. They will make sure the employee is retrained on customer service.
We thank you for your business and for sharing your feedback.

I went to the Mcdonald at Hong Kong Amoy Gardens in Kowloon Bay on Nov 8 around 8pm, for making a birthday party reservation on Nov 29th at 3:30pm. Your public relationship staff – Henry was providing excellent service, and help reserving area the 1:30pm since there is supposed to be a B Duck party landing at that branch on the same day at 3:30pm. As we were going through the payment progress, I ask my family to cancel another booking which I made at the other restaurant before. And. I was asking Henry for further details for the B Duck party. As we were confirming the quantity of balloons I would like to have, after paying the deposit. Henry was telling me that the reservation cannot be made during that day because od the B Duck party, Because his supervisor – Vanessa Lai was rejecting all booking on that day for the preparation of the B Duck party. Henry apologized and had shown me his schedule book, that the slots werent reserved at the moment, and shown to be available. I would like to know exact how Vanessa could rejected my reservation base on such reason? Next day, she asked me to make the reservation at the other branch in Lam Tin, and because the booking is made less then 21 days, I could not choose the theme of the party, while I was supposed to be able to choose because my first attempt of booking was offering 21 days for you guys to prepare. They refused to make any special arrangement even though its their mistake to begin with. And for the B duck party in Amoy Gardens, I have not yet receive any further information like I was promised. I would like to know if this is really how your staff is asked to treat a customer? My son’s birthday party was so close from being ruined, because of mistakes made by one of your staff who could not keep her people in sync with her planning, which I found hard to believe a B Duck party could take up the whole day for preparation.

a week ago I went to the mcdonalds on Lyell ave and mt. read blvd. in Rochester, ny. the order I placed was incorrect, my 7 year old son has many allergies to different products so therefore we ordered his food to be in compliance with his allergies. the food was not made correctly so the cashier instead of immediately correcting the problem, decided to argue with me over the food and then I asked for a manager, I was totally ignored. after that bad experience I have little to no doubt in my mind that I will never go back to that location ever again.

Today I went to McDonalds with my wife and 4 and a half year old son. After eating there we were ignored and an older person by the name of Mr. Wilfredo Galarza Mr. Galarza was complaining that the manager would not give him ketchup the one that sits outside in the lobby and that he did not want any tartar sauce with his sandwich.
After I ate I asked the manager why she did not stop and give ketchup to Mr. Galarza of 78 years old. I then ignored and made fun of both of us. I let the manager know and then one of her employees threatens to fight me. You can see this on camera. This is the second time in 5 months that something similar happens when asking a question to a manager. I then called my wife to come in. She saw when the employee said he was going to fight me however 3 employees grabbed them. I am upset that my 4 and a half year old had to witness this and my wife who suffer from Type 1 diabetes with uncontrolled hyperglycemia.
The manager did call the police a police report was made this is the number 15H645553 Time 21:03 date 9/6/15. The manager closed McDonalds early due to this incident that could have been avoided if she would have listened regarding this complain if she had not ignored me. When the police arrived a report was made and then a sergeant spoke to the manager.

I Marisela Bustamante state that I was able to speak with the manager who said my husband had to leave and Mr. Galarza and so did I. What I witness was that an employee of McDonalds a young man that while I was talking to the manager wanted to start a fight with my husband. The manager called the police. The police came I gave my statement. And this number of report was given 15H645553 Time 21:03. I was then very scared and anxious especially since I suffer from hyperglycemia and PTSD. There was not need for this. At this time this is my statement. Mr. Wilfredo Galarza will have to make his.

McDonald’s has gone so far downhill I don’t know if they’ll ever recover. The trouble starts with management and poor policies. One example: the idea to have someone helping me at the drive through window while taking other customer’s orders over a headset? It’s a terrible customer service idea. There does not seem to be any oversight of the restaurants: the bathrooms are almost always disgustingly filthy, which leads one to wonder why the kitchen would be different. I avoid McDonalds restaurants, whereas I used to really enjoy them. My suggestion to diners: support locally owned restaurants. We’ve made the switch and our road trips have been so much more enjoyable.

This is what is happening at 1of your owner operator stores in Montville Ct.I received a terrifying phone call from my daughter tonight. She works at McDonalds on 32, the original one. She was using the bathroom and unknowingly was followed by a man. She was in the stall, unaware that he was in there holding the door closed so no one could walk in. A God sent woman was trying to use the restroom; while he was holding the door. She says she was pulling with all she could, when she fell into the door, as it was released from the inside. The man came out and apologizes that he was in the wrong bathroom. This woman thought this odd, and didn’t think much until my daughter came out of the stall, and she realized what he was doing, and why he was holding the door closed. The man left his hot un-drank coffee on the table, and ran. The police weren’t called until 20 minutes later, after they got permission to phone the police, from the Big Manager. What are you kidding me? Then (this is the best part), they finally call the police, the regular number, not 911…why bother this guy is long gone!! They tell my daughter they will take a phoned in report, and send a patrol car around to look. I show up at this point, I went right down to the Montville Station, used the phone in the lobby, called the state barracks and explained to her the phone call that just transpired…she was none too happy. The police were at McDonalds by the time we got back. They both explained what happened. There is nothing they could do. Just file a report. I understand their reasoning. I’m not letting this go. If that woman, hadn’t walked in when she had, I believe that man was there to take my daughter. He was waiting for her to come out of the stall, he would’ve grabbed her. The bathroom door is directly across from a door that leads to the outside. The woman who tried getting into the bathroom, her car was smashed in on the drivers side door. The mirror was completely ripped off. I believe that this man, got scared off, and took off and hit this woman’s car. I don’t believe that this is a coincidence, nor do I believe he just happened to be there, and took an opportunity. He was parked at the perfect spot. There are no cameras in or outside McDonalds….. I could have lost my daughter tonight. By the grace of God, and my guardian angel, my baby is still here with us. Please get this out there. Make people aware of what happened, and to be cautious. This happened here in our town! Two people saw this man, and there is no way to get his face out there. I hope that he doesn’t try this again, here, or anywhere. I know his car will have damage on the right side, the car he hit was red.
This incident puts your esteemed corporation in a horrible light. Please do something about this!

well let’s talk about your location at 4101 leopard corpus Christi Texas this location is a joke .I went there for dinner last night and a girl named Alyssa took my order. told her that we wanted 4 mc doubles large fry and a large drink. she came out with 4 mc doubles and a parfait. I told her no and repeated my order and she spoke in every very loud voice and told me that When I order I need to speak with a loud voice. So I did and she was very rude to us .so I told her tat she needed to be less rude to customers . She at that point started to roll her eyes at us. I I commented how rude she was being. She at that point started laughing in my face. I told her that she should not be like that with her customers she continued to laugh and turned to ignore me and laughing. so I asked to speak with a manager named David Barrerra and he did nothing to take care of the problem. they didn’t even give me the rest of my order I had to go back and get my drink and ketchup. The store was dirty and I took pictures of the fries on floor ‘ dirty tables etc. Now I worked at mc donalds before and I know that register 1 has to clean dining room restrooms when not busy well she wasn’t and she didn’t . so when I was taking pictures of the dirty floor and other dirty areas she started yelling at me from the area where you get the orders ready that I was not allowed to take pictures. So I asked why and she responded to me that I was going to get sued. What kind of business is that and what kind of manager allows their employees to act like that. I walked out so upset that my 30 year old daughter had to go talk to the manager and ask
him how he was going to deal with the situation. He had no response. So she asked him My mother deserves an apology or some kind of solace to this avoidable situation and had to literally pull it out of his mouth. See here’s the thing . that is what happens when you let a business as yours .get the run of things by a bunch of young kids that don’t have the ability to run such a large business as mc Donalds. they don’t have the knowledge or experience. that is ashame that this a problem throughout your company. And not only that all the crew was in on it in conversation instead of doing their job. nobody was involved exept Alyssa , myself and the mamager. And still they all stopped working to go see what was going on. I understand that your company prides themselves on helping young kids with jobs and education however there needs to be responsible adults that can keep order and help guide them so that they can
one day be the manager that you can be proud of. Instead of letting the customers reak in the inability at our cost. I love your company . however some one has to take charge and it is not the kids that you put as managers. I will never go to that mc Donalds again the name on the complaint poster is Olga Navarro. Please let her know of this problem so that it can hopefully get the fixer up that it needs .I apologize for the complaint but I feel it is up to people like me that grew up with mc Donalds and care. thank you for your attention.

I went to your resturant located at 3411 York Commons Blvd Dayton, Ohio 45414 last week. I believe the dates were either June 24th, 25th, or the 26th 2015 after the 6:00 p.m. hour. I took my son and his friend. They both order fries, burgers, chicken sandwiches and McFlurries. We were given our food as the staff continue to work to make the McFlurries. My son started to eat his fries and he said that the fries were very salty, so I tasted a few and felt the same way. I told the manager (female- look to be of an India or hispanic background) from the drive thru window that the fries were salty. She told me that the fries were not salty. I pick up about three or four of the fries to show the manager the amount of salt that I was able to get from the fries. She stated again that the fries weren’t salty. After several times of telling her the fries were in fact salty she said give me the fries in a very hateful way and she threw the fries so hard in the trash that we heard the fries hit the trash can. She then told me to pull around in a very mean voice. I decided to go in the store, to let her know I didn’t appreciate the tone of voice she used, her negative behavior and action toward me, and how rude she was. She told me “I’m not going to argue with you” and walked away. Not at any time did I raise my voice or become rude to her. I started not to write, but was encouraged to do so. I felt as a manager she did not handle the situation well and all the other staff saw their manager act this way. I’m thinking because a manager acted in this way the entire staff will feel that they can do the same. Better customer services needs to start at the top. Thank you in adance for reading my complaint and look forward to hearing from your customer service department.

There has been a lot of press regarding McDonalds looking for way to improve their financial statement bottom line. My wife and I do a lot of traveling from the Carolinas,Tenn., Ala. Ark, and Tex. and we eat at least one meal , but usually two meals at McDonalds every day we are on the road. For us it is not the quality of the food nor its nutrictional value that disturbed us most , it’s the quality and customer attitude of the employees. It has gotten so bad at some of the restrautrants that we have chosen just to walk out. At first we would call and either complain or compliment on a particular location, but we ended up having far more that were bad so we have just stopped calling. So you may want to look at the quality of your employees that could be having a negative impact on your bottom line and not the nutritional value of your menu.

Dear Mr. Easterbrook CEO, I read your comment about your company performing poorly today in the Chicago Tribune. Since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which is an allergy to wheat, barley, rye, malt and for some oats, I have found it difficult to eat in your restaurants. Also, the population of the USA, China, Japan, Germany and other developed countries is aging with many of us eating healthier! I am thrilled that some select McDonald locations will be offering healthier breakfast fare with kale and quinoa! Many families have a family member or friend that has to go gluten free. They often will not eat at a eatery that does not offer at least a few gluten free choices! Please consider offering GF and healthier fare. Also, I have found that your employees have been hard working and polite overall.Sincerely, Mary Beth Kunath

Dear Mc Donald’s corp.,
I feel it is very important that i help you understand that your business plan regarding your breakfast menus stink. I am not speaking about the actual breakfast menus but the quality of your breakfast ingredients. This is due to the incredible amount of processing your food goes through. It does not taste delicious nor does it look or smell delicious. Example, back in the 80’s when I ordered a Big Breakfast Deluxe the pancakes were poured with REAL batter, the eggs were REAL eggs not powdered or fake liquid eggs. The sausage patties tasted like REAL delicious sausage. Hash browns tasted so much better.
It is now 2014 the price of this same product has doubled and the Big Breakfast Deluxe taste like an artificial experiment gone bad.
You should possibly consider offering the quality of food you offered back in the 80’s and market the S#@T out of it…watch your customers line up for something that tastes great and for the extra hassle you could charge a little more. I sure as hell would not mind paying extra for a REAL Deluxe breakfast.
I’ve been reading the CNN article titled I’m not lovin it. And I think this idea will bring Ronald’s smile back which in turn will bring the smiles back to your stock holders and franchise owners. Please consider my proposal and bring me back to your restaurants.

Greetings Mc Donald’s Corporation USA,
It has been one month short of a year since my e-mail to you suggesting you take a look at the quality of your breakfast that you provide to the public. I gave you an up front no bull evaluation of the crappy tasting Deluxe Big Breakfast for example and NOT to my surprise I am reading an article in CNN Money and it looks like you have more than just breakfast to worry about. I suggest you folks in upper echelons of corporate take your whole family out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and watch the reactions your family project as they eat this “Top Quality Food Item” you so proudly explained in your response to my e-mail. There’s a reason people don’t want to spend their money at your restaurants buuuuuut you will have to find out for yourselves since my one e-mail is not worth your attention. Good luck cutting corners and pumping more processing to make a buck. By the way, my 13 year old daughter rather me take the time to make her breakfast than this ” Dad, can we go to Mc Donald’s” I hope you can recover from your disillusion of your products.

Well I gave the cashier the $10 and she gave me 7 cents back . I asked for my change and was told to go to next window . There I was asked to pull to the side , where I waited for 15 mins and went inside store with the food that was cold by now .I spoke to the manager who told me the cashiers drawer was not over, so they would have to look at video to see what I gave her . I know what I gave her and either that money went into her pocket or its still in that drawer. There is defenitly something wrong when Coorporations like Mcdonalds hire theives to deal withpublic

It seems like the quality and customer service at McDonald’s restaurants has made a huge decline in the last 10 years. The food differs in taste at different locations, customer service has dropped to a 2 out of 10 rating, and it’s not what it use to be. Change is usually good but where your money WAS made, you’re losing out with more than just me I bet. Hopefully your company can figure out the problem and turn it around before it bankrupts one of America’s past times.

On December 31, 2014 a friend bought me a cup of coffee at a McDonalds in Zebulon, NC. It was to hot to drink and unfortunately he had to apply the brakes quickly in a few miles and the cup of coffee fell into both of my boots, burning both of my ankles. The coffee was so hot that it also warped the vehicle’s floor mat and stuck it to the carpet. I was taken to an urgent care location and to date we have spent $465.24 on medical expenses (after insurance co-pays) and we are still working on the wounds. I also am self-employed and do sub-contract forestry work which requires wearing boots and lots of walking. I have not been able to return to work since the incident. I have talked with Shannon Childers of York (your insurance company) and was told that the coffee was 195 degrees, which was within industry standards, and thus McDonalds is not responsible for my injuries. Although I did not see the warning on the side of the cup until after it was pointed out to me after the incident, I must say that the warning would not have prepared me to imagine that a drink would actually be at a scalding temperature. One would also think that a drink would be of a drinkable temperature, but since this incident many people have complained that they can’t drink your coffee for 30 minutes. A small child could be scalded by a passing customer in your store lobby. This simmering liquid should be in a more substantial cup with a more secure lid. I still feel that the coffee was too hot.

TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE A PENCIL SHAVING BUT WHEN I TALKED TO HIM HE SAID THERE WAS NO PENCILS IN THE BUILDING. I KNOW WHAT MY SON FOUND IN HIS BURGER AND I AM TIRED OF BEING CALLED A LIER. I AM CONTACTING MY LAWYER TOMORROW AND LET HIM DEAL WITH THIS MCDONALDS. OBVISLY MCDONALDS DONT CARE WHAT THEY PUT IN THERE BURGERS AND I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO ANOTHER ONE AGAIN AND ANYONE AND EVERYONE THAT I KNOW OR TALK TO OR SEE WILL KNOW MY STORY.

WOW I work for McDonalds and yesterday (Christmas EVE) I went to work , was asked to clock in early and from that point on it was terrible. One of the managers speaks in Spanish and boy what she had to say was definetly unprofessional Does know where her employees on duty have strengths and weaknesses. Allows other employees to belittle and cuss other employees. Even heard her being rude to a customer. Yeld at one person for another persons mistake. This is a corporate store and can you imagine that one of the companies most prideful statements is about friendliness.. I truly believe that corporate needs to visit stores more often without the knowledge of there arrival Especially when the general manager is not there I will now go to work for the compention a customer watched me walk out and came to me with a number and I called and I will start work for a truly great company I hope that someone in the office takes head start on the new year Brookhaven store in Atlanta GA needs help I am still thinking of going to an attorney with the information of the problem I have an harrassment case like no other and never have I filed before but somethings got to give

We arent even allowed to put up ANYTHING that says MERRY CHRISTMAS on it. Guess they dont want to offend anyone that DOESNT believe in Christmas,, BUT, they would rather offend everyone that DOES believe in Christmas, What would happen if 25 million people would file religious belief charges on MC. D. because they are infringing on their rights to believe in Christmas??? THE SXXXX BAGS in the offices of MC.D should realize that its the people that BELIEVE in Christmas are the ones thats keeping MC. D IN business,

Here goes, let’s see if you really care about what your customers like. I’m with a group. We go out most everyday, to talk to people. We always stop for potty breaks and to get some coffee and snacks. We always stopped at Mcdonalds. Then you changed your coffee. We often had lots of elderly ones with us, so they would get your senior coffee’s. You didn’t tell anyone you were changing your coffee, but you did. Heads up if you haven’t tried your new coffee, It’s BAD! We never go to Mcdonalds for our breaks anymore. The gas station has better coffee than you. I can’t believe you haven’t noticed that your sale have gone down. Everyone I talked to that use to get coffee there, now goes somewhere else to stop and get coffee and visit. I just went back today an thought I would give you a try and see if you changed back to the good coffee. Surprise, or no surprise you still have the worst coffee, YUCK! Apparently you haven’t tried it, or no one has told you. I don’t think you really care what your customer think, or your bottom line, or you would have changed back. Like when you changed from New Coke back to Classic Coke. We do like your new coffee cups, they are nice. It would be nicer if you had your old coffee to put in your new cups. I also like your Coke, it has just the right mix. But you lost a lot of business when you changed your coffee. It’s been a long time sense you changed it. I had hoped you would have got the picture and changed it back. Just thought you might like to know, or not.

Marilyn Sleepy never received my certified request return letter. Michele deposited final check then took it out bouncing my checks. I worked in maintenance but also swept parking lot, waited on customers that could not walk, and cleaned bathrooms. I had another job and the only day I could not work was Saturday. I have to pay bills also. Michele denied my foodstamps and unemployment. She lied. So I had to give it back. There will be not Christmas for my children this year. I have lost everything. On Sppt. 5, 2014 I went to a McDonalds at 1946 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793 (store #2468). There was a sign for a special of 2 McGriddles for $3.00. I purchased 3 orders (6), 3 hashbrowns, 3 coffees and 3 apple pies. The order # was 210 and came to $19.10. When I got home I found that there were no eggs or cheese on the McGriddles and called the store. I was told, after a giggle, that the special was for sausage ONLY and that if I wanted eggs & cheese it was 2 for $4.00. I’ve benn getting McGriddles since they were first introduced & always came with eggs & cheese. Was not told or asked if I wanted eggs & cheese. If this is the king of tricks you need to pull, you just lost 3 customers & after telling friends & family about this you may lose more. I don’t have enough room, here, to express my aggravation with McDonalds.

I placed a 25.00 plus dollar order at mcdonalds on interstate 10 and Louisiana 415. I handed the cashier a $100.00 bill. She looked at me and stated “McDonalds ain’t takes no hundeds no mow”. I said “excuse me”. The cashier rolled her eyes and sighed and stated ” I said McDonalds don’t take no hundeds no mow”. I explained to her that I only had hundreds on my person and she she yelled to the back cancel that order. I asked for the store number and the cashier stated she didn’t know and I needed to get out of the line. As my children and I turned to leave two female employees were wrestling in a booth by the front door over a cell phone that was ringing to a very inappropriate song. One employee fell out of the booth and onto the floor in front of us. None of the employees were wearing gloves and the restaurant was very dirty. I asked for the manager and was told that she was the manager. There was water on the floor of the restroom and the toilet was overflowing. There was feces on the floor of the women’s restroom. We drove next door to Popeyes fried chicken. The readily accepted my $100.00 bill and the restroom and restaurant were clean.
Will never stop at this restaurant again. Will recommend that friends and family don’t either

I was at McDonald’s for almost an hour waiting for food with my mother. so disappointed. I didn’t even get an apology, all the ice and drinks was empty and the servers was making food with (NO gloves) karren I believe her name was, was the only enjoyable part of my visit. Karren at least tried to make sure our needs was met. The short Caucasian stocky woman there in the blue management shirt on had no gloves on while making our food, my mother and I sat and watched her slap together our food with no care in the world and no gloves on and when my mother politely corrected the womans behavior by telling a manager he responded to us “I will tell her to put gloves on” and went back to making and taking orders as if we wasn’t waiting long enough. Finally karren tells us sorry and gets our food and keep in mind the woman who I spoke of before is complaining about remaking the food and I am just utterly disappointed and discussed in McDonald’s every time I came there’s been an issue and im sick of it. Someone needs to di something and new management needs to be in place because never again will me or any of my family eat from here again we have spent too much money that we could spend elsewhere… I’d rather starve then eat here again so thank you karren for your great service and only karren.

This morning, after bypassing an Aurora police officer on Long grove coming to McDonald’s. I drove to the drive thru. For the 2nd time in the last week, an employee named Xavier is standing out in line to take orders when this time there were no busy line and only one car. I decided to go in the store. She comes into the store. An employee (black female) comes to the front to straigten. Then my order gets taken. I talk to Xavier and told her that if she is out there for me then you are doing so because as I told her that the city was on some B.S. I did not mean to make my comment sound like that but I rent at a house nearby, my son goes to private school in the mornings, I go to my externship in the mornings to complete my VA program. I am currently discriminated against by the city because I am a single black father with a teenaged special needs son living in a decent neighborhood with nuclear families, mostly white. My status had been a problem for a white married couple next door. The couple’s husband previously stalked my son’s bus because I chose to park in my own driveway, meaning it would be next to his wife’s car if she’s parked at home! Because of this, the same extremely petty Hispanic officer who patrolled this morning was trying to control my routines in how I come into my neighborhood loop (Timberhill Lane) which means I can’t pass by certain houses if I enter my loop from the southend, only directed to come into my loop from the northend. He stopped this months ago, I complained numerous times to the city and to my alderman. Just yesterday, an officer told me that the streets are a public street. I am a member of the Dupage County NAACP and previously received assistance from the Quad County Urban League for support in a discrimination case unrelated to the city of Aurora, Il. The city of Aurora is aware of my support in addition to support I received from a congressman who funded their police station in 2009. I received support from the Quad County Urban League as result of the support from Congressman Bill Foster.
As an adult African-American male, I would ask that you do not abide by ignorant and discriminatory policies of the city of the Aurora police department to treat me in a way different from any other paying customer.
The president of the Dupage County NAACP is Mario Lambert, 630-263-0419. He is assisting in ongoing legal concerns unrelated to city of Aurora and McDonald’s corporation.

My experience at Store #6504 on 03 May 2014 ~10:00 AM
To whom it may concern;
At roughly 10:00 AM this morning I visited McDonalds Restaurant #6504. Although the inside counter might have been busy, the drive-thru was not. In fact, I was the only customer. After sitting at the menu and order location for nearly 5 minutes trying to ensure my order was correct, the gentleman asked me to pull forward and he would have the lady at the first window correct the order. Once I arrived at the first window I was met with a young lady that seemed to be completely disinterested in what she had been tasked with doing. She asked “Are you the guy that had two orders of bacon and a sausage biscuit?” I replied yes. She asked me to repeat my order and I did. She paused for a few moments. Unfortunately she still seemed confused about the order. I asked her to read my order back to me. Once she did I realized there was still a portion of the order missing and asked her to add the additional items. After another minute or two the gentleman that was working with me initially arrived at this window, he seemed frustrated with the lady. He asked me to repeat my order and as I began to repeat it, now for the 3rd time at this station, he looked at me, held up his hand as to tell me to stop and not interrupt him. My comment to him was “Sir, you need to watch your attitude.” He apologized, and said he was speaking to someone else in the drive-thru line. At this point what appeared to be the shift manager arrived at the station. He asked each of the individuals some questions, I assume regarding what was taking so long or what the problem was. This is the point where the real problems started. The young lady at the station, took a step to the right and said “I’m tired of dealing with asshole people like this guy.” I looked at the manager, and asked if she really just said that? His comment was “Don’t worry I will take care of it, she will be fired.” At this time he requested that I repeat my order for a 5th time at this station alone. I complied. The manager discounted the order by ~50%. I paid for the remainder and was asked to pull forward. When I arrived I asked if they would like me to pull to the side to not further disrupt other customers. Within a minute or two of pulling to the side, the manager arrived with the order, apologized for the situation and said the young lady involved had been terminated. When sitting at the next stop light, I reviewed the order and much to my dismay, it was still incorrect. So I decided to go back to the location and get the order corrected. Rather than going through the drive-thru this time I went inside. Although the drive-thru was still relatively quiet, inside the restaurant had a line to the door. I went to the pickup counter to get the managers attention, and again much to my dismay, the same young lady that had earlier made inappropriate comments, and the manager said had already been terminated was working the front counter. When I did get the managers attention, you could see the surprise on his face that I was in the store, one because the order was still incorrect and two, that he had only said the young lady would be terminated to hopefully get me away from the location without further disruption. He corrected the order at no additional cost and offered to send me coupons if I provided and email address. By this time I was so frustrated that I just left. In total I had been asked to repeat my order roughly 10 times, worked with three different individuals, and spent more than 30 minutes.
What was most concerning about the situation was it appears that being unprofessional, discourteous to customers, and having a complete disregard for listening is acceptable at this location, as well as, the lack of self-respect, or not having any pride in the work you are doing is acceptable to the employees. I know this probably isn’t true for all employees at this location. Unfortunately for the three representatives I encountered today, this was most certainly the perception.
It was not my expectation for the young lady to be terminated immediately. This was proposed by the manager, and then reiterated by him when delivering my order. However, in hind sight, it is my opinion that she should be strongly reprimanded and/or terminated as this type of behaviour has no place in any work environment much less in a customer or food service position. Is this really the type of person you want representing your company? In addition, management should not be making claims to customers if they have no intention of following through. I know the manager was trying to handle the situation as quickly as possible, but this is the wrong way of going about it and further training or counseling should take place.
The order I placed was as follows,
3 Hot Cakes with Bacon
2 Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddles
1 Sausage Biscuit
2 Side orders of Bacon
1 Medium Coke
I do not know what I really expect to come of this information. I just found it to be completely unacceptable and being a manager myself, I would like to know when situations like this arise. I’ve made a couple of suggestions, but ultimately it will be the decision of the restaurant management or franchise ownership. Only time will tell if any positive improvements will be made. If you would like to discuss this situation further I would be more than happy to talk with you.
Thank you,
Matt Rogers

The Dowlen st McDonald’s in Beaumont Texas could set the tone for french fry satisfaction and a more positive dining experience..

In the recent firing of heather in new York, I think its wrong. It seems so un-American for the manager to fire someone for a good hearted gesture.she seems to have worked there for awhile, she works 2 jobs, she has children to raise, and she gets fired?..with her and her coworkers to give first responders a meal is a great thank you to the community.they serve the community and she does something good and you fire her? you as a company, and I know this first hand, you actually throw food away every day.actually a lot more than what was spent there for those meals.she has worked there for that long,it seems to me that she is a good employee and she is commited to her job,i feel that you need to see the real picture here and with the economy as bad as it is,seems that the firing was unjust and un-American.

My husband and I visited McDonald’s on tillotson in Muncie, INask us his morning at roughly about 3:08 a.m.. I was on a 30 minute break
from work. We ordered 2 mcdoubles 2 large fries and 2 large cokes.
we then proceeded to wait 20 to 25 minutes for the one car ahead of us.
We finally got to the window and the employee then proceeded to ask us again what
We ordered and when we told them our order she then told us that we could only
get breakfast.we told her we already ordered 15 to 20 minutes ago and that our order
should of already been ready, also solely breakfast usually starts every morning at 4 a.m.
So we told her we wanted to see a manager and that I had to be back to work in 8 minutes.
4 minutes went by and still no manager so I laid on the horn for a minute and tadah a manager appeared. We told him our order was taken and that it should of been ready especially since we had already waited my whole break to get it. He said she made a mistake and let us
order lunch and I told him she didn’t that (breakfast only) starts at 4 a.m. not 3 a.m.. He the manager then proceeded to tell us its managers discretion when to serve whatever. So I told him I was going to contact corporate bc our food should of been done. The manager then said go right ahead and slammed the window in mine and my husbands face……..you just about had another youtube chicken mcnugget incident on your hands after he so rudely slammed the window in our faces…….get new management…this is not the first incident at this location either another time they had me pull up and wait formy breakfast and when I checked sack and it was wrong went back through drive thru again and they weren’t going to get what was missing bc it had changed to lunch since I had ordered it was hash browns thay were missing-the fryer was still on so I told them it was breakfast when I ordered it and that they get my food.which this day they did make it right. …but tonight (2/09/14) at around3 a.m. I have never been so ddisrespected in my life by a fast food chain.

She has disrespected a lot of Veterans and those who have died to protect our Freedoms. If she isn’t fired, I will boycott McDonalds, and I will gather strength for support. I’m sure the American People would agree with me. This kind of behavior has to be stopped. This is America, and I am proud of the Country I fought for, though will not allow such disrespect to continue. Either you fire her, or myself and many Americans will boycott. I’m sure you don’t want to lose business over one individual who thinks so poorly of those who gave their lives for this Country.

James Welch II says
I wrote this letter to the CEO…..And of course NO RESPONCE!!!!!! NONE!!!!!!!
My name is James W Welch II. I live in Chippewa Falls WI, the “north woods”. I just had a birthday party for my daughter at one of your locations. She turned 5. And I have to tell you that it was a HUGE disappointment and I will never be throwing another party with McDonald’s again. Which is so hard for me to say since I still have all the photos from my birthday party in 1979 at McDonald’s in Chicago. This has been a family tradition for us for as long as you have had birthdays in McDonald’s.
We called twice just to verify the fees and what exactly came with the “we’ll call it birthday package”. And the manager told us that we would of course be getting the food for 6 and individual bags with goodies for the guests, a cake, balloons, and so on. The big thing that was explained to us was of course the host! And “something special” for the birthday girl. She explained what the host would do during the party for us and a general brake down of how things would go. Well to our surprise NONE of it was true at all. The hostess we had was by far the most unmotivated and helpful person I have met to this day. You see I started in the food industry and worked my way up to eventually become the kitchen manager for some of the leading stake houses in the south. My first career lasted almost 20 years until I started manufacturing. Anyway, The hostess we had did NOTHING. She did however manage to disappear for 40 minutes. She did manage to hide at the soda station but failed in all the important areas that were required of her, of her job.
We had to go to the counter to request the cake since she of course was missing, we had to play hide and go seek with her to get the kids happy meals, we had to pass out all the food since she had other things to do. All in all, this was a party that we were told all we would have to do is watch the kids. In all aspects I give this McDonald’s, WHICH IS LOCATED on Craig Rd, Eau Claire WI a complete F. Being as I have a back round in the restaurant business, a nice warm smile and positive attitude go along way! There was none to be found this evening! And I’m sure you know exactly what I mean.
With that being said, I normally wouldn’t go through the trouble of an email except, as said, the McDonald’s birthday tradition has always been SO much fun and always brought great memories! 🙂
The second reason is also the McDonald’s next to our house, in Chippewa Falls WI on Prairie View Rd. We do live in a small town and coming from a town like Chicago, obviously you cant expect the same type of service. Same with the south. Its more laid back and honestly everyone slows down a little. The big city hustle-and-bustle just doesn’t exists here. That doesn’t mean EVERY TIME you go there the order should be wrong or missing something. OR there’s extra stuff. I don’t blame the workers, I blame the managers and poor training. I wont go into detail but I’m sure if you went through the drive-through and ordered a premium chicken wrap and frys, you would be in horror! When the chicken has no moisture left, due to its old age, and is the same temp as the lettuce and tomatoes, you just give up expecting good food and then move to the frys which have either been aged as well or “double dipped” in the fryer, you just loose hope in the good old American burger joint that in 79, in my Moms station wagon, I could never control my excitement as those golden arches approached. Lets face it, we all know that you get put in the managers book for a free whatever….after your name goes in SO many times and you drive back to receive whats missing because you feel like guilty because you actually believe they will eventually think your lying because management cant comprehend that their employees could continue doing the same mistakes over and over and over. Eventually it becomes the truest for of insanity. *When you continue to do the same things over and over and expect different results* That is insanity!!!!
So I have to ask…..through the slow changes over the last 34 years…………………………….What happened???
Thank you for your time!

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Jeremy and I writing this letter in my behalf.
On 12-3-13, I was at the Montoya and Culture McDonald around 2pm. I went to the restroom lobby and when I returned, I noticed that at the table. That I was at my Laptop went missing. I did and notify the manager that was sitting directly in the back behind the T.V’S .I’d questioned (her) along with a (vendor) man. They both refuse to stop the thief that.
Ran-off with the stolen HP laptop to get a description and verify the person? The Manager did call the police Department to make a Report ( 133870726) to the officer. I value the HP 17 inch Laptop to be valued at $700.00. I’m asking that McDonald replace this electronic stolen good toward(s) neglecting towards stop this thief.
I’m giving McDonalds 5 working days to respond to this letter of concern.
Also, I’d like to question at this location do they have security camera’s upon thief
Sincerely, Jeremy Pollitt

McDonald’s signs are advertising there coffee saying all sizes are $1.00. I asked to speak to the manager and all she said is oh I’m sorry and when i said you should give me the large coffers because that’s false advertising because thats what the big sign says. Then again she said oh sorry I will take care of it. I said this is not the first time I mentioned it to your store#4811 again she just said well have a nice day very rudely and walking away while saying this. This happened on 11/11/13 at 8:50 am. This store needs new managers who are not rude. I think I will start going to burger king right around the oorner from McDonald’s

This past week I got a large coffeee from Mc Donalds in Vanwert ohio, The cup had a piece missing out of the rim of the cup I was going 65 miles an hour on route 30 towards Fort Wayne. Took a drink in my new car, first time to have food in it. And it was only coffee. I tipped the cup up and spilled hot coffee all over me and burning my hand. I made a report to Mcdonalds and took the coffee back to where i bought it. I have never been so insulted in my life. I was accused of damaging the cup myself. McDonalds is the worst. Just what I do (put my wife in the car an drive 65 mph then dump coffee on me and burn myself and ruin my clothes…stain my new car so i can get money) What and insult. The manager through the cup away then to have Mcdonalds say I dont have the cup to prove any thing. Coming soon on you tube Why not to eat at Mcdonalds. I have plenty of pictures an videos. I have a complaint about McDonald’s store # 3002. They are charging 1.32 for a coffee that I purchased, which is ridiculous. This is false advertisement. On all the billboards it states that all drinks any size is a 1.00. I’m really not happy with this every McDonald’s should be on the same page here. I will follow up with this çomplaint

I cannot believe that you can not contact anyone with any of your contact numbers, all you get is automated responses, and your WEB sit doesn’t allow for communication with you. I am so disappointed with a store on 31 Forsyth St in TL, this place is filfthy always, no customer service, I have been there 10 times in the last month and still have not been served, it takes about 1 hour to be served if no one is there, if there are people in line forget about being served in a timely fashion. Everyone in this store should be fired, this store is a lawsuit waiting to happen, I hope it happens soon. I am in the process of notifying the health department about this store>
