The company is the 6th largest poultry producer, processing more than 250 million chickens every year. Wayne Farms is a subsidiary of ContiGroup. There are 13 processing facilities which sell chicken under several names, including Wayne Farms, Platinum Harvest, and Dutch Quality House.
Wayne Farms also sells chicken to major restaurants and fast food restaurants, such as Jack in the Box, Campbell’s Soup, Chick-fil-A, and Applebee’s. In 2004, the company had annual revenue of $1.5 billion and employed nearly 10,000 people full time.
The company faced huge problems with Covid outbreaks at different plants throughout 2020.
In July 2021, the company needed to fill more than 500 positions and was offering a $1500 sign on bounus in Alabama.
In September 2023, the company was cleared of anti-trust charges regarding the reduction in a supply of chickens, thus increasing prices.

I worked at Wayne farms for almost 3 years, fun job, great pay, just somewhere along down the road I stared to get treated differently work became more harder than it need to be, demands could of been met but ehh, people get a little bit of power and think they can treat you how they please. “Full of bs”

The experience that I have at Wayne farm is terrible the supervisors are harassing people the workers don’t want to do their job because of that they can never keep nobody to work and this is why the upper staff are all Kim well family and there’s favoritism in this facility I see things are not professional here for sanitation I work here now that is union springs Wayne farm is by far the worst experience and Jod I ever had can someone please give me an call or text please this plant is unprofessional and unorganized this is a safety hazard and ion want to get OSHA involved
Wayne farms policies are out dated and some what prehistoric. I worked there twice in the 1990’s. Here it is 2019 over twenty years later and i was told I’m not eligible. HR management stated cooperate wouldn’t change their policies until theirs absolutely no-one left to work. Decatur Alabama plant needs help. I’m ready and willing, Mrs or Mr Maddox y’all have to do better
I’m writing this to let whoever know. I work at the Dothan plant I went to the payroll lady because I didn’t get my check in my bank account. She told me it was my problem I had to fix it. Well I waiting until the weekend and the holiday was over to see if I got paid. Still no pay check well the lady Emily that’s in the office at Wayne farm in dothan payroll got rude and told me she couldn’t help me about my payroll check. I still haven’t received my first payroll from Wayne farm. I call to talk to the corporate office they told me I needed to wait until this Friday to get both checks that my bank account match what I gave payroll. Well I been under doctor care for past week for having episodes of seizures and the doctor are doing test on me for it. I feel like I will lose my job if the doctor let me go back to work because I was only there for a week and I had a seizures at work. Hello. I don’t work for Wayne’s Farm In Laurel anymore and I haven’t since 2010 because I had a stroke.when I got better I applied again they wouldn’t accept me. All I want to know is why they red flag me to not be hired back. It’s 2018 and I’ve held a full time job for 6yrs. And, now I’m working two part time job.
