Pet City was founded in 1974 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company operates a small chain of pet and pet supply stores in Colorado.
The company has three locations; one in the Chapel Hills Mall, one in the Citadel Mall, and one in the Aurora Town Center. The company sells pet foods, supplies, housing, and a variety of pets, including puppies, kittens, birds, and fish. All puppies and kittens are sold with a health guarantee, as well as being microchipped. A list of vaccinations and worming is provided.
In May of 2017, a man complained that he thought he had obtained financing through Wags Lending to purchase a puppy from Pet City. He later discovered that his $2,400 “loan” was actually just a lease with an option to buy. Pet City states that the terms of the lease were explained at the time of sale, however, Mr. Brian Stevens says this was not the case.
