DD’s Discounst corporate office headquarters

DD’s Discounts was founded in 2004 in Dublin, California. The company operates as a subsidiary of Ross Dress For Less. Similar to their sister store, the company offers a wide range of brand names at deeply discounted prices.

The company currently has more than 266 stores in 15 states, with plans to open at least 7 DD’s Discount stores every quarter. Most stores are remodeled acquisitions. Ross Stores has been consistently focused on expanding its business in an attempt to maintain the growth trajectory. In fact, the company opened three more DD’s Discount stores in Texas on in September of 2016;  one in Killeen, Harrisburg and Rosenberg.

DD’s Discount stores are generally found in small neighborhood shopping centers.

In August 2020, the parent company Ross posted lower earnings in the second quarter, mainly due to the coronavirus crisis. Stores are reopening slowly and the company has stated that third quarter earnings should be better.
