10. Incorrect invoice sent from Cadillac of Las Vegas Mileage on vehicle was incorrect, last oil change was incorrect, and was not low on oil.
I have all verifiable documents to prove that i was well within my maintenance for warranty of this vehicle.
I am having some difficulties with my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV. The 3 year 100,000 mile crate motor that was purchased from a GM certified Dealership has failed. And this time last year we had an ongoing case with GM concerning a Knock in the engine that would last up to 6 minutes depending on outside temperature during start up. 3 different dealerships acknowledged the knock and 2 dealerships attempted to fix the engine without success. The 3rd dealership was trouble shooting the knock noise and contacted gm Corp office and was given a document from GM starting it was a build up of carbon on the motor and dismissed the engine knock at that time. At that time I was assured that if there was an issue concerning this noise shouldn’t arise, that my engine would be covered. When the engine started acting up I immediately contacted GM warranty department and explained exactly what have written and was told by a gm rep that they would honor the warranty and advised to have the vehicle towed to a Cadillac Dealership for repairs. It has been almost 3 weeks and nothing has happened. I just received a call today 1/28/2019 advising the dealership was just waiting for authorization to tear down the engine. To this date I have never received this call. At this point the time it has takes is starting to cause a financial burden and cause issues with work and with the responsibilities of care for my parents.
I did some research on the repairs that were done on the motor on the top end bottom end and at no time did any dealership never inspected the bearing journals for scoring or clearance issues and the knock noise was dismissed and at no time was the knock noise fully addressed or repaired. By General Motor’s order it was stopped and dismissed as Carbon Build up on the pistons. I have reached out to several engine builders again and they are advising me the issue with the knock noise was never repaired and they believe this is what would happen if the issue was not fixed. IF you have a rod knock or oil leak down situation from last year to now this would cause the engine to fail.
Notes:
1/10/2019 I initially made the call to Cadillac and spoke with a GM Corp Warranty Representative and was advised the warranty issue with my 2007 Cadillac Escalade with the 3 year / 100,000 mile warranty would be honored given the issue was directly related to the issue. The GM Rep asked where I would like the vehicle towed we both agreed on Cadillac of Las Vegas as they was the best decision in this situation the GM rep said she would send and internal message to get the process started. I advised her that having the vehicle towed in on a Thursday evening would mean that not much would get done over the weekend as we would need collaboration between the dealership and GM Corp office. I decided to have the vehicle towed into Cadillac of Las Vegas on Saturday 1/12/2019 because I had to fly out of town at the last minute.
1/16/2019 I assumed my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV was being taken care of because I was told an internal message was being sent to Cadillac Of Las Vegas. On 1/16/2019 I was contacted By Cadillac of Las Vegas Asking why my vehicle was towed into there Dealership. I explained the situation and advised them that GM Corporate office had already contacted them and was advised that the vehicle was going to be covered under warranty and gave them the Case: 9-4965409979.
1/17/2019 Cadillac of Las Vegas Contacted me saying that there was nothing under that Case Number and that GM didn’t have anything either. I contacted GM Corp Office again and verified that all the information was there and was told they would send another message to the service manager for this vehicle and the concerns.
1/21/2019 Cadillac of Las Vegas Contacted me again advising GM had no records of this situation . a 3rd time I contacted GM Corp Office and was advised again that everything we spoke about was on file and they would send another message to Cadillac Of Las Vegas.
1/29/2019 After almost 3 weeks I received a call on 1/29/2019 asking for a CC Approval to tear down engine to verify issues. this should not take almost 3 weeks to get to this point. I contacted the dealership And filled out there CC authorization form and expected to have this issue finally start.
1/30/2019 I received another call from dealership saying they were advised to take to a deposit of $1010 for tare down to inspect the cause of the motor failure. Why am I pre paying for this issue when we have not reach a decision to the cause of failure. If the motor would have been fixed or replaced last year when the engine started to knock this would not be an issue. Last year GM Corp was the direct reason Cadillac of Las Vegas stopped any further investigation of the Issue with my 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV with what sounded like a Rod Knock Noise.
2/06/2019 To date Cadillac of Las Vegas is starting Tear Down on 1/07/2019 after I payed $1010.88 deposit
2/09/2019 Received letter from Dana Nessel the Attorney Generals off for the State of Michigan. the Letter received from General Motors was incorrect and was only stating original warranty information for the 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV. But if you purchase a new motor from A authorized GM dealership the motor is sent from a GM Corp warehouse and comes with a 3 year/ 100,000 mile warranty and currently My 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV Has New Engine, Transmission and Transfer case all from GM coming with a 3 year / 100,000 mile warranty. So if we look at the facts the GM either did not read the reports and letters that have been sent multiple times or tried to deceive and lead you to believe that there was no longer a warranty of any parts of this vehicle by stating Original Warranty that came with the vehicle came with. I Would like to believe that ladder pater of these conversation as they were just confused.
2/14/2019 Laroyne Brown Asked for copied of all my oil changes. I advised I would give him what I could find since my move. On 2/14/2019 I sent the 1st set of oil change documents and then after digging more sent another 5 oil change documents
02/20/2019 Laroyne Brown Of Cadillac of Las Vegas asked if I had any more documents I advised him I would look and also advised him that some oil changes we done with other warranty issue and I am having trouble locating these documents between here and Oregon.
3/01/2019 Called Cadillac of Las Vegas today and was told that GM rep said vehicle engine with pre existing issue was not covered. I contacted GM corporate warranty office to verify and GM would not give reason for no covering Long block 6.2 L92 engine
3/09/2019 Did surprise visit at Cadillac of Las Vegas Took video of vehicle spoke with mechanic asked about low oil and was advised oil was discarded except for small sample.Advised Gm and Cadillac of Las Vegas My Onstar stated on October 2018 my 2007 Cadillac Escalade was at 84% at 212,749 with no oil issues listed. When asked why motor was not removed when I paid for tear down and removal of motor, mechanic just said i was just told to pull oil pan. Noted front differential was off vehicle oil pan was off 3 main bearing were off and 3 rod caps were off engine wwas still in vehicle. Had mechanic lower vehicle to hook jump box becasue my battery is dead somehow since it been there and noted milage was taken done incorrectly and advised that last oil change was 211,468 and asked why that was not send to GM along with my invoices showing oil and filter maintanace. Serevice Manager was not there and was told my invoice for tear down and removal of L92 engine from My Cadillac Escalade of $1010.80 was locked in hos office. At this point I see no other option but for legal action as Both GM and Cadilac of Las Vegas are not looking at the facts.
Break down: 3 dealerships Here in Las Vegas acknowledged Rod knock noise 2 attempted to fix (document enclosed) 1 dealership said it was lifters but did not fix rod knock noise. 2nd dealership said it was Leak down caused from down tube seal in bottom of engine causing low oil pressure at start up… Still did not fix Rod knock noise… 3rd dealership acknowledged Rock Knock noises, at this time GM said to stop warranty and that this noise was normal. was advised it was caused from carbon build up on pistons at 40,656 miles. Rod knock noise was never fixed Nor was leak down issue fixed from previous dealership… I was told everything is fine and To continue to drive my vehicle and everything would work as it should the Engince failed at 70,838 miles
Work on engine for Rod knock noise was on November 2017 and on January 9 2018 engine had catastrophic failure. Last invoice for oil and filter change was done by mobile mechanic at 211,468 Invoice attached.
Will be contacting legal representation for To pursue GM not covering catastrophic engine failure by failing to properly fix engine at time of the 3 dealerships acknowledging Rod Knock issue including Ed Bozarth quoting it cause from leak down tube not allowing for proper oil pressure…. GM blatantly stopped Cadillac of Las Vegas from performing the correct repairs or replacement on the L92 engine with only 40.456 miles on it at time for first issue and at 70,838 miles it failed as a result of the issue The Heavy Equipment Mechanic we use for our Water trucks Had just installed the water pump on the 4th of January and checked all fluieds before start up after water Pump repair all fluids were good.

We recently bought a 2019 X3 . Seven days later I returned to the dealership BMW CENTURY OF GREENVILLE with complaints about interior road noise. I requested the dealership manager to do a ride along to experience this issue. He denied hearing any noise and said he owned a BMW as well with no complaints. We referred me to the service manager who also did a ride along and he immediately said the road noise was an ongoing problems in these cars due to the type of tires on the cars. He requested for me to drive a BMW with Pirrelli tires to see if there were better . He called me on OCT.9 saying that he would locate me a set to replace the Bridgestone tires that are currently on our BMW. This whole situation really frustrates me to no end. TODAYS DATE IS OCT.16 AND NOT A WORD FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! Please contact me KINDLY at 864 887 XXXX

The dealership In fort Myers must be on STRIKE, as only one person has answered the phone, when routed to sales Another voice mail.. How can a person speak to another. To boot I am a stockholder, They just dontt care, once the car is sold or leased they do not want to talk to anyone. I am in the process of filing a consumer complaint with the Attorney generals offices in NC and Florida and also the BBB,

Do NOT DO BUSINESS at CREST HONDA NASHVILLE, TN you will REGRET IT! They only care about themselves! The GM ROBERT HOLLY is the absolute most CORRUPT person to deal with from beginning to end. Do not spend your money at this dealership, pay more/ go elsewhere if you have to and be treated fairly. When i purchased my car CREST HONDA offered me a deal and when they (ROBERT HOLLY) couldn’t pressure me into buying (that day) they took the deal off the table, When i came back a few days later, ROBERT HOLLY wanted to increase the price by thousands of dollars. I had to call the corporate office, where they instructed Mr. Holly to honor the deal he initially presented. HE wasn’t so happy to do this as he often feels he is the Owner of the dealership and can treat consumers as he wishes without repercussion. They also gave me a 1% higher interest rate during finance than i was initially quoted (probably bc Robert was pissed he had to honor the initial deal im guessing) NOW as for the service department: they will SELL YOU WHATEVER they are trying to up sell for the month even if you don’t need it, lol. The only person remotely trustworthy in that department WAS MAT! but of course He left the company as a lot of other services techs do, maybe due to unfair and ethical business practices Crest SONIC AUTOMOTIVE Honda promotes. I bought a brand new car (less than 100 miles) with a faulty battery that they refuse to replace. (even tho several techs was aware of the battery issue ). instead of replacing the battery before the warranty ran out they waited until i had 37k miles to tell me i need to pay $180 for a new battery. I must mention another service tech, Tony did remember the issue with me coming in for the battery but his manager JIM WELLS flat out said didn’t matter and basically dismissed the conversation. …its almost comical at how the business is ran! Good luck trying to get any real Customer Service as the ENTIRE staff is afraid to speak up and do whats right. You can leave messages for managers such as JIM WELLS in service, to no avail. He wont return your call. He will flat out lie (abt warranties) even when his coworkers are backing the customer, He and Robert Holly have each others back not the customer, the receptionist flat out refused to tell me how to contact corporate and Robert Holly says he doesn’t have a BOSS. NONETHELESS i took my car ELSEWHERE and got the battery replaced. I will absolutely NEVER do business with this Company AGAIN! and Neither should anybody that would like fair and honest treatment. BEWARE!!!!

Worst Experience at Buena Park Honda, a Sonic Automotive Dealership.
Here is my review about Rude and worst customer service experience.
On Sunday June 11, 2017 I called Buena Park Honda dealership to lease a New 2017 Honda Odyssey Mini Van. Spoke to Internet Sales person named Patrick . I gave him my requirements and informed him my down payment and the monthly payment . I informed the sales person about the quote I received from Hardin Honda and also informed him that they do not have the EX-L model which I am looking for. Finally I said let me drive to your dealership from Riverside County and you find me a good deal since you guys have several of these models in stock. While I was driving he texted me a down payment and monthly payment but I responded that I am driving towards your dealership so just check EX-L without RES for me. But he texted me again a quote while I was driving so I could not respond due to safety and reached the dealership. Here comes the worst part……………. I was with my wife who wears modest dress and wears a head scarf, So this sales person came up to us, looked at us and with no smile on his face without saying Hi ,he said “which one should I grab, silver or White” , hmmmmmmm I said can I talk to you about the final numbers before you pull the van , he said “Why did you show up if you didn’t agree with the numbers” I told him it was your quote not a final number. He became further rude and angry and left to his room, left us wondering if he will come back, he came back with the quote copy and said here are the numbers I texted you. I said can we sit and talk and he said , nope that is the number and I cannot talk any further. Then I said can you talk to your Desk manager and see if you can give some discount in down payment and he said “nope”. I asked can I get a copy of the quote and he said “Nope” . In my observation it seems like this person need a major sales training to learn how to deal with the Intercultural customers. He seems like someone who judged us based on my wife’s dress and our demeanor. My comment is not about the deal or the numbers, it is how the sales person changed his tone and attitude when he saw me and my wife. I suggest these type of sales persons must be either removed or retrained from the dealership. The sad part is this dealership is part of Sonic Automotive group and I am not sure how he is working here without going through a training to work with diverse culture and working with people of color.
Just so you know, while my way home I stopped by at Weir Canyon Honda and received an excellent service and leased my 2017 Odyssey within an hour. I am not here to advertise any other dealership but I want to make all my fellow Americans know to stay away from the fake reviewed dealerships on yelp or other review sites as my personal experience was the worst at Buena Park Honda.

This is not your regular complant.I have bought three cars from sonic I have been happy with my purchaces.I would like to tell you a little story .last Friday I had flat tire no biggie I have delt with my tire guy for my entire driving years.after all was said and done I asked why the sensors had not light up on the dash and we found out they were all bad and not replaced then he showed the good news this car had been sitting water over the tires for at least a month (sea water,I live in colorado.).Then I really started to look closer at the hidden details, (I live in a dessert you usually don’t have to take the car apart to find water damage.)
The bolts holding the seats down were so rusted you could not see the nut on the bolt, all the lower hinges were so rusted it took all the galvanized off the steel, after they got the carpet wet trying to get rid of the smell it really stunk, bad, who ever tried to fix the problem broke the bolts to the driver seat then screwed them down with 1/4 screws real safe,I wondered why the seats would not work they had been put back in wrong, after looking under the carpet I found a lot white powder CARPET FRESH? OK enough of the good news.
I really liked my Rav4 I had it four weeks before I had enough of the smell and a flat tire that changed my way of car shopping, not where but how, like I said I have had really good relations with my dealer and I have spent about 40,000 dollars in your store this year so it would be bad to make a bad customer out of me for one I going down there to buy a car for my daughter later this week so it would be good to hear from you that will make 4 cars in your store Ina year
Anthony Kirkpatrick says
I was not done I wanted to share the story of the replacement of the Rav4.Once I decided to replace the car ,I really didn’t want to cause trouble for any one so I went back and traded the car in for a new rav4 about 10,000 dollars more than the first one but remember I fell in love with the car, you ask why the same dealer I figured we would go ahead and take care of the problem before it turned into a problem.
I went in made the best deal I could on the new one was very happy that it went thought toyota financing like my scion im,when I bought the rav4 I should have paid a little more attention no one would pay for the car they said it was too old it had too many miles I wonder what was on the title that scared them away maybe because it was from new Jersey the same time as the hurricane, OK back to the car deal when I went into the dealer the first time for the first rav4 I told him that I need a work car 5 or 6 thousand dollars it ended up 8 thousand but I ended up with what I thought was a good deal because it looked so good the car was a little overly detailed later to find out it was covering up it’s history, when I was at my dealers desk he gave me the car fax that is when I was jokingly referred to the hurricane not knowing how close to the truth I really was, the strange thing is that car fax all of a sudden went missing, you know how you usually you put it in the sales packet , not there when I left, I thought it strange it says right on the folder to be included in my mind I thought well it cost them money maybe I didn’t get to to take it home. The first thing I should have done was listen ten people asked me what was wrong with car, they asked me how I ended up with such a good deal on such a nice car,I told them it was my charming personality but I know better you have some of the best sales people in the country ,OK back to the new rav4, I have been alive about 60 years ,have been buying cars for about 45 years I know the in and outs of car buying I know that you run a business it has to make a profit to stay alive. When I bought the new rav4 I knew I was starting over with a whole new deal what I didn’t realize I was going to have to pay for the other rav4 plus the new one I am thinking wait I returning a salvaged title car that really should of not of been sold to me in first place now they want me to pay for the old problem and the remedy. Please I was being real patient but I refused to roll any of the old car loan onto the new loan you know what I ended up with they rolled part of the old on to the new one,Remember what I had said to the sales man I need a work car 6 maybe 7 thousand dollars I now owe you 18,000 don’t get me wrong I love my new rav4 ,I told the original sales person I could do like 200 a month payments which turned into 400 payments I am still paying for my other brand new car,we are still cool so far yes I ended up with a new car that is the nicest used car I have ever bought but at what cost? I paid 3000 dollars out of my pocket to get rid of a car I should have never been sold to start with, then they had the guts to ask me for an other down payment to cover the cost of the repairs for the ruined rav4 when i asked why i had lost so much money on the first rav4 ” we had to spend a lot of money to restore the car”, you have to admit with this much damage in side the car you should have told me about the damage
should not have had to take the car apart to find it and your carfax report I would like to know how we dumbed it up and how we got a new title, the thing is after we brought up the fact that they sold me an illegal car then hide the report up to this point everyone had played it off really well at hiding the fact that you knew full and we’ll that it was a hurricane rescue.OK enough I am still a happy camper I don’t want revenge I just would like to see how you are going to respond to this letter.remember the fact that I am going down there this week to buy my daughter another car.

Went to the dealer in Houston TX Lone Star Chevrolet off of 290 and Eldrege signed paperwork went through financing waited 1 and a have weeks for delivery of the vehicle put it on my insurance policy went to the bank and got a $10,000 cashiers check to put down as a down payment and when me and my daughter showed up to pick up the vehicle they said they had sold it because i did not put any money down when making the deal. I offered to put a payment down but Chris the finance operator said that since I was approved for financing it was not necessary to put down any money. This was very upsetting to both me and my daughter to teach her at such a young age of deceptive trade practice. Were out $56.00 on a vehicle that we never received. To whom it may concern:
We purchased a new MB at MB of Nashville (actually in Franklin). The sales portion of the experience was very good. However, the business portion and resulting conversation & interaction with the general manager (HH) was very unsatisfactory. (Note we traded in a debt free 1 yr old vehicle & paid cash [good personal check] which evidently is not the norm.) They would not release the necessary paperwork for title application for 2 weeks even though our check cleared in 3 days. Also, they charged us sales tax (we were not TN residents) but were not supposed to do so (later refunded after much discussion).
Our resulting conversations with general manager HH were quite unpleasant, unprofessional, & hostile. We have purchased (paying cash) several upscale vehicles over the years, but never encountered this level of difficulty or rudeness in completing the business end of the purchase process.
As a result of this unpleasant experience and our lack of confidence in the overall process, we have decided to choose another MB dealership for our service relationship and future MB purchases. After reading other online reviews of MB Nashville, it appears we were not the only customers who had negative experiences with the sales or service at MB Nashville.
This is not the way we wanted it as we chose MB Nashville to hopefully establish a satisfactory dealership-customer relationship in a geographical location that we like to frequent.
A very dissatisfied Alabama customer who expected a different experience.

I had a bad experience at Don Massey Dealership in Dallas, Tx on the purchase of a new vehicle .I was unaware that your dealership did not have a 72 hour period on weather you wanted to purchase or not. My consultant did not give me the oppourtunity to really test drive or take a vehicle home before making up my mind on the purchase. I put $10K do0wn on a vehicle I’m really not satisfied with because it sits to low for my lower back condition.I returned the veery next day and tried to renegotiate for something more comfortable, and I was told I had to start all over again because after signing the doXXXXents that deal was long gone. The manager tried to sell me another vehicle which cost even more than the one I purchased, so why would I want a vehicle that’s out of my price range when now I don’r have any negotiating power after they had already taken my $10K.
