I have had my Prescription Drug Plan revoked because they got my mailing address wrong. I never received a bill and now they say there is nothing they can do. Funny, the only bill I received from them was addressed to Wisconsin and I live in Colorado. I’m not even sure how this bill made it to may mailing address since it is addressed to the wrong state!
This all has happened during the Pandemic and as I first applied for Medicare. I’ve been on the phone with them for over a week and they now tell me too bad. They won’t even look at my original application they approved that shows my correct mailing address.

The WORST company in the world! My Mom is 92, she applied for the lowest premium plan because she is not on any medication. Never has been. They charged her for the higher plan. It’s a BAIT and SWITCH. Since October she and I have made at least 50 calls to them, Been transferred all over, including GUAM,,yes GUAM, Mexico, Georgia, Florida, California. Every rep is dumber than the next. They say they will straighten it out, we have confirmation numbers, and NOTHING has been done. They will say they will call back, No One ever does. Tried to email corporate, the email doesn’t go through. Next step is the media. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Re: WellCare ticket # PRC-5517. I had been having trouble getting reimbursements from a 2nd company based on information sent from WellCare. The 2nd company was awful but WELLCARE was VERY HELPFUL in getting things sorted out after several months. There was a breakdown of electronic notifications from WellCare to the the 2nd company or possibly the notification was a failure of receipt by the 2nd company.
I appreciate all the help WellCare provided for this issue. However, WellCare BLAMED ME for the problem saying I made a plan change. An UNTRUTH just to close a ticket with no proof. IF THERE WAS A CHANGE, IT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED BY ME. WellCare, dig deeper and take responsibility. This is not right.

The worst. Call center is in the Philippines. They do not understand you and you cannot understand them. I have been on the phone literally for hours trying to change address and plan because of interstate move. Asking for a US rep is no help either. You get put on perpetual hold and then the US rep can’t help either so you get sent back to call center. I keep getting put on hold in the Philippines while they try to get someone to do the plan change. If I am fortunate I will never have to speak to Customer Service, WHICH THEY ARE NOT!

I have made multiple calls and have spoken to at least 4 supervisors regarding my father’s situation. He was hospitalized for 9 weeks and during that stay his kidneys began to fail and is now a dialysis patient. I called Wellcare the Friday before his release from Kindred the following Monday to get his dialysis transportation situation taken care of. He was scheduled to be dialyzed this Wednesday and was not successful in getting transportation with Wellcare. My phone calls and concerns have been completely ignored and as of today have not been able to get transportation for my father’s dialysis needs taken care of. My father requires dialysis and with out he will not survive. Please let me know what I need to do to his this matter taken care of as quickly as possible. My father requires dialysis every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I have talked many times with many within the WellCare. I have told of how WellCare employees have given me information that evidently was not correct. I signed up for WellCare in Nov. 2018.Originally I was told that I was signed up as of Dec. 2018. I called in many, many times to speak with WellCare employees that did not give me correct information. I was able to use my insurance as of Feb. 2019 and the sign in date was listed as Jan.2019. I was told by WellCare employees that I had to do nothing about contacting previous insurance company to cancel previous insurance.. I had two months of payments taken from my Bank account by Cigna and two months prescription coverage to Etna paid from my social security. Social security has paid me my payments back. Cigna will not only pay me back but not is billing me for $309.00 for withdrawing from there coverage. This is not my wrong doing and I am paying for mistakes made by your company. WellCare did not get me signed in properly and I am being held responsible. Please help me with this and take responsibility for your companies actions. Please do not make this my responsibility. I did nothing but what I was told and I am not financially able to pay out money I have not spent. Please help me with this. PLEASE Dwight D. Gwinn

Their customer services is terrible you will get overseas operators that don’t understand what it is your requesting then when us ask for a U.S. operator they will either transfer you to the wrong US operator who will instruct you that you have the wrong department then they will send you back to the customer service department which starts overseas then when you ask for US operator you will then get transferred to another overseas operator. This happened to me today I was on the phone off and on for 3 hours because I have been mandated to get this information. I finally got US rep to help but I have to wait for a call back and the information I’m seeking is common info. This is my Ref# 161801995 I have one that goes back to 2017 and didn’t get a call back then Ref#130945102 and I’m not sure I will get one now. SMH OVERSEAS TO SAVE MONEY BUT NOT HELP THE CUSTOMER!

I am legal guardian for one of your members. I spoke to one of your representatives requesting information about mail order drugs. She said yes, there was a mail order plan but she couldn’t send me any information. I requested to speak to a supervisor as I believed she wasn’t being co operative. She stated all the supervisors were in a meeting and for me to call back. I stated I had been transferred to the number I was talking to from another number so please give me the number I need to call. I again asked for the number to call- she said call back later. I asked for her name- she hung up on me.

I have been trying to recover payment since August 2017until now. I have spoken with no less than two dozen representatives over the many months. In the beginning they said they had to place in review by a special team. I sent letters, spoke to case manager Ms. Grace and was ignored. Last week i sent a letter with more proof to the CEO Kenneth A. Burdick. I have not heard back as of now. In the Tampa Bay Times newspaper it stated that Mr. Burdick made over NINE MILLION dollars in 2016 and in excess of ELEVEN MILLION for the 2017 salary. I can not believe that WellCare cannot pay what is owed to me ($3,600). I am a senior who is retired and only have a reduced income. Please, if anyone in charge, can review my situation and refund the monies i had to lay out. Thank You

This plan makes up their own rules- Wellcare doesn’t process claims per CMS guidelines- nor do they uphold their own policies- wellcare takes over an hour of speaking with representatives that can basically do nothing to assist you-
We have made a formal complaint against WEllcare and their payment reimbursement policies- and hoping this will change some things at wellcare- this is the absolute worst medicare and Medicaid plan to have-
if you need a simple office procedure they require a f/u due to unreasonable prior authorization requirements-

On their formulary the meducation is a tier 3 drug
I’ve gone into Gap coverage and now they want to charge me 51% for the same medication that is listed on their formulary as a brand name now they are telling me the medication is a generic how could the medication be listed on their formulary as a brand name and now because they want more of my money they are telling me it’s a generic drug I have reported them to Medicare the Federal Trade Commission and have an attorney will actually an entire legal medical team that will be suing them including the CEO Kenneth berdick do not enroll with this health care plan they will jeopardize your health your pocketbook and your mental state of mind I have been in health care for 35 years I know pharmacology like the back of my hand and once again because I am in the Gap coverage I am supposed to pay 40% on brand names and 51% on generic names now all of a sudden they want to switch up and charge me 51% for a brand name that is on their formulary I have spoken with five supervisors I have spoken with the transfer drugstore team and all have agreed and have reported that the drug is a brand name and I should not be charged the generic percentage of 51% Medicare has doXXXXented my complaint and so has the Federal Trade Commission do yourselves all the favor do not go down this road do not enroll in WellCare just this evening I have left a message for their presidential team executive response team and should be receiving a phone call tomorrow August 3rd 2017 and I will let you guys know what happens but these guys are committing fraud actually the company is committing fraud so do not enroll take care

I have had three Dr’s that did nothing in follow up. And now I find out I might have cancer. ? This is not right. I want a insurance that is going to be reliable. Iam almost 70. Wellcare HMO does NOT follow Medicare guidelines when processing outpatient claims. They are incorrectly denying Mammogram claims and radiology claims with the denial stating “not payable or is inclusive of another service”. We bill technical fee and professional fee on UB04 claim form as we are supposed to do. Medicare has no problem processing and paying these claims. Dispute Dept dos not help. Provider Services Dept is a joke .. the agents know nothing and read from a computer screen. And you’re lucky if you get one on the phone that can speak clear enough English that you can understand. We will be informing our community of patients of this problem.

Never has such a problem with any insurance company in my entire life, nor in the last 18 years of working for a medical group. Well Care has been paying for one of my patient claims for over a year, in May, 2016 patient came to us, we submitted claim, received EOB back from WellCare in November, 2016, denied!!! We called to have them reprocess claim, it was processed incorrectly. WellCare told by billing person, by Kathy the supervisor, if you want it reprocessed we had to send dispute letter. I called back to speak with another supervisor. Chase answered the phone and was going to transfer me to someone who could fix the claim. Was on the line for 15 minutes on hold when line went dead. Had to call back and give the recording all the information that the representative then asked for, she found Chase and he got me connected to Jason to adjust claim. Jason asked what the issue was and I asked if Chase gave him information, he said yes and he cannot change claim because it has to go to MediCARE first. I tried to tell him that we don’t deal with MediCARE because we are a pediatricians office and we only deal with MediCAID. He kept talking over me, telling me he cannot change the claim. I asked if he heard me, we don’t deal with MediCARE, he said I hear every word you are saying and I cannot change the claim, I then asked to let me speak to his supervisor. He abruptly hung up on me. I would like this issue resolved and put a call into the CEO. WellCare is the most unprofessional company that I have ever had to do business with.

Had a very bad experience at the Owings Mills Maryland store on Lakeside Blvd. this morning . Went to pick up a prescription for my wife, the guy knew nothing about where it was from the get go (could not hardly understand his English), he called someone else who got there 15 minutes after store opened, she also knew nothing yet we’re told the day before it was ready and waiting. The women who is a boss or manager demanded I sit in a chair while waiting like I was a 2nd grader, explained I have a back problem where I can not sit long and had already sat 30 mins driving there and I told her “you will not demand that I sit down”. Then asked me to step back from the counter or go outside and wait. Went out and then returned to hear her on the phone hollering at another employee who had the box sitting under the counter and not marked at all with our name. When the guy finally put the box on counter and was time to leave she never once apologized nor said anything else to me. He said have a nice weekend or something. During all this time guy had went to the Subway store right down the row from Wellcare multiple times. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL in every way, I will NEVER return to that business again, will do all my shopping for meds at CVS or Rite Aid from now on. Corporate needs to stop by there and make some serious changes. First we saw of her was coming in from the back of the store around 10:15 am note store opens at 10:00 am and he kept walking out to Subway and who knows where else instead of staying in the store to help me find this prescription. Also while back in there a lady came in looking for her prescription, also was not ready though she was NEVER asked to have a seat while I was in the store. I really felt discriminated being Caucasian especially after the African American lady was never asked to sit down. Both employees also African American as well. Bad news travels faster than good. Please look into this matter at this store as it needs much improvement from my point of view.

Wellcare Prescription Drug Plan has to be the worse prescription drug plan out there. I have been on the phone with their customer service people who by the way are from the Phillipines and you can hardly understand them, trying to get my prescriptions since Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. On Monday I was on the phone holding for over 1 1/2 hour and still didn’t get anything accomplished. I keep getting phone calls from Wellcare Customer Service telling me to call 1-866-550-5252 and when I call that number they want to know what I am calling for. Then I have to hold another length of time before I ever get to talk to someone, again, who you can’t understand. I have given them my debit card information twice in order to get my medications mailed to me and neither time did it get recorded after I gave it to them. Today I received one voice message that said they needed to talk to me about one of my medications before they could mail it. I returned the call and they said the pharmacist denied it and couldn’t give me a reason and said my doctor would need to resubmit the prescription. Then this afternoon I received another voice message telling me to call 1-866-550-5252 and give them my payment information before they could mail out my prescriptions (I gave it to them twice already). I called and again got ahold of a lady who I could not understand and I finally got her to put someone on the phone who I could understand which she did. I was transferred to the mail order department and was told I needed to again give them my payment information. This time I was on the phone from 3:15 p.m. until 4:10 p.m. before I finally, I think, got everything taken care of. We’ll see if I get my medication or not. You can rest assured my husband nor I will use Wellcare in the year 2017!
