I feel as if I bought a semi. The Kirby is good but I can’t use it. I’m a 65 year old woman who has rheumatoid arthuritis. Well it has been in my home since july3 rd and I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone at Kirby. Every time I tried there was no answer or wrong number. I tried on July 6 th to cancel my order and they said I’d have to call back Monday. I did call and again no answer. Well I’m at my wits end. I cannot use this cleaner. I feel as if I was taken advantage of. My RA won’t let me move this thing. I’m wanting it returned and never to see it again. If you need to speak to me my phone number is+1812593XXXX. I received a call from a Kirby representative telling me that my Kirby was do for a inspection make sure everything was working correctly. I was happy because just before Christmas my shampooer belt broke. I had an extra belt and was going to watch YouTube videos to try to change it myself but I never got around to doing it. She said no problem that representative would come in and change the belt. The man showed up for the appointment and he did change the belt plus he shampooed my living room and my hallway. (After I wrote 20 contacts & wasnt told I’d have to do that for a free shsmpooing) As he was in my living room shampooing I told him I could smell plastic burning and he said he didn’t smell anything. I told him it smelled like the belt was burning again or something was going on. He took the roller back off of the shampooer and I seen a piece drop on the floor and he picked it up and put it back on. After he left, I found all these little black pieces in my hallway and a chunk of plastic that looks like it come off of a wheel. When I contacted the gentleman and told him what was going on he said it sounded like I was going to need a new roller. Mind you, I have only used this Kirby rarely. He was impressed how clean the unit is. He had told me that the rollers looked great. Now all of the sudden, after I tell him that I found all this black plastic on my floor and reminded him that I had smelled burning plastic, he says I probably just need a new roller. When I confronted him after he had already told me my rollers were fine he said he’s not going to replace it and that I would have to buy one. He claims he will make an appointment with me one day next week to check things out and I’m not holding my breath. I have had nothing but horrible service from this company. This representative ended up getting an attitude with me and basically told me that I am the one you must have ruined the roller even though I have not used the shampooer. I need to know who I can contact about this situation. I suggest anybody who has a Kirby representative come to their door, slam and lock that door immediately.
I bought a Kirby Avalir about a year ago, just after having my carpet professionally cleaned. Well, I got ready to clean the carpet today and looked for the parts to clean it and the brush, the shampoo system and the carpet brush roll is nowhere to be found. The shampoo tank is there with all the other parts. I called Kirby this evening but they were closed. I’ll try again tomorrow but I don’t know how much luck I’ll have after reading all the complaints I’ve read so far.

If you financed, I hate it because people with excellent credit still pay 25% interest!!! We are still trying to verify if Kirby themselves are involved with these independent contract LLC’s
I had someone come to my door said they were showing Kirby vacuums .I told her we are not buying nothing.She said can I just show you so I can get paid. I said yes steel not buying nothing. she showed said still not buying .The man that owns the house is 75 years old I walked in he next room and waited .someone else came in started talking to him the man said he cant afford it but he just keep filling out the paper work asked for credit card. that is when I came back in and said he is not buying it the man said how are you I said we said Ii told her we are not buying one the man would not take no for a answer . I asked for a card but no one had one. told him to give back his paper work I had to take it and rip it up did not want to give name or phone number …… I think these people should be dealt with .praying on old people is a shame…

i had something very similiar to this happen to me and my partner we kept telling her no and she kept filling out the papper work before you know it we were doocked into a kirby contract and i was the cosigner these c*ck suckers have to pay for praying on the weak we were minding our own buisness in bed when the b*tch nocked on our door with no f-ing covid mask and she was relentless we kept telling her no and she kept filling it out she kept saying she needed paid for a trip somewhere in missouri or some bullsh*t she was from indian and got us sick and overstayed her welcome i want these c*ck suckers to pay for ruining my credit it has taken a dive to almost nothing now they hit my equifax they sent it to collections before we even had a chance to pay and we didnt even sign a contract liars

I had the experience of having Bo Kelly and his wife Stephanie Bradley to come to my home with their sales reps demonstrating the Kirby Avilar.
They said that I can get two Kirbys for the price of one at $2000.
That sounded great but they aid that they needed a deposit of $500 from me and I gave them $150 in cash which they said was for taxes plus got my credit card information and was supposed to take out $500 but instead took out $750,
I tried to cancel order within the 3 days as on the contract stated but could not reach anyone.
The finance company was going to charge me $4000 plus when it was supposed to be $2000. They never signed the contract but I did which was a mistake.
Since I cancelled my credit card, Bo and his wife came to my home to get the Kirbys back but did not want to give me back my money and this was at 7pm at night.
They will tell you that they can reduce the price if you have anything of value and when they call the fianance company they have you lie to United Consumer about the actual cost of the sale so now they have gotten free items that they tell you will lwer the costs of the vacuums. Do not let these people or sales people in your home even when a sales person gives you a free box of detergent then comes back with a Kirby to sell.
They will not leave your home until a sale is made which takes about 3 hours.
See them and run.

The distributor in hilo hawaii is a total scam artist. Absolutely nothing but lies. Her name is Stephanie Bradley and her 9 time convicted “husband ” Bo kelly. They are from Oklahoma and have running from the law for years. There divisional supervisor does not even know that the only way that she became a factory distributor,i.e (selling 30 kirby in 30 days ) was because they took the 2 sales reps (that busted their assess-ments) and put ” her “name on all their hard worked sales contracts. Once she (and Bo kelly) finally received “the factory distributorship ” , then and only would Kevin Patrick and Michael Ikeler receive their so promised hard work earned cost. Never happened keep flushing down the volcano tubes
I am still upset! I paid over $2000 for my Kirby. It came with all kinds of attachments and guarantees, one being about replacement due to a fire. Well my house burned, I sent the horrible looking remains in, so I get this letter saying it is too badly burned to REPAIR! end of contact, though I did write back, no answer. The fire was April 7, 2013. I am very upset
with Kirby. I bought a used Kirby in the 80’s and went into debt for this new one which I took to AZ with me. So.. the fire and I am out a lot of money and .might as well have used the guarantee for tp!! KATHERINE GOOLD 231-886-XXXXX not holding my breath to hear from you!
This company is not a credible company. They run ads that say they will pay $480 a week for customer service positions. When you call them, they actually “say” the pay is $2,000 a month. When you ask if the position is sales, they say no. Then, after you waste your time driving to their office for “training”, you learn that they are selling Kirby Vacuum Cleaners, and if they don’t sell any, you get no pay. I spent 7 days in training, only to learn that the whole thing was a lie. Instead of demonstrating the vacuum cleaner for a sales person, they were pushing us into sales. Then, the owner who says his name is Mr. Hill (I don’t even believe that), told us that we had to do 15 demonstrations over the weekend to make any pay. I don’t even know 15 people who can afford a $2,800+ vacuum cleaner. I did my best to do 5, and that was taking advantage of neighbors and friends. Then, I show up for work, and find out the owners are out of town, and we sat for 2 days while they are trying to get the van fixed, so we can go out at -2 degrees to cold call for the job that did not involve sales. The van was broken down two days in row, so we never actually made it to any demonstrations, just listened to sexist, stupid, cruel comments, and lies.
It is not a customer service job. It does not pay a salary. It is a total waste of time and energy. If this is the way Kirby Vacuum does business, no wonder they have to hire crooks. Here is the ad that they run. I really needed to make money and all this job did was delay the chances for getting a real job . . . while wasting gas money!

I would like this complaint to go to a CEO as I am very confused and upset.On Saturday November 6 2016 around 1ish we had a Kirby sales person stop by and handed me a Kirby car vac so he could come in and do a demonstration the sales person did a great job I just could not afford it at this time would have loved to had one.My complaint and upset and confusing was they stress to us that Kirby is America made Great I thought until I look at the Kirby car vac and see that it was made in China.Why would you stress America made and give a fake Kirby to us and we got it for letting them come in for about 2 hours and to put your name on something that is not made in America.Can you please explain that to us.Thank you for your time.
My client is interested in becoming an exlcusive Distributor for a geographical area in Italy. But my reading of your business model is that there is no intermediary Distributorship figure. Sales buys directly from Kirby . In other words there are no exclusive geographical distributorship i your model. Is that correct ?
