By 1962, there were 85 stores. By 1969, there were 150 locations.
George stepped down as CEO in the 1980s and his son, Howard M. Jenkins, became the new CEO.
In 1991, the first non-Florida store was opened in Savannah, Georgia. In 1993, the company expanded to South Carolina. Expansion continued to Alabama in 1996.
George Jenkins passed away in 1996.
In 2009, Publix opened its 1000th store. The company currently operates nearly 1100 stores in the Southeastern US.

Well this is an email that saddens me to be writing. I am/was one of those people who have been doing business with Publix for years and for several reasons the main reason is because the SAY they are a FAMILY company and that all of the EMPLOYEES are treated like FAMILY and such and how much they care about their customers blah blah blah well I can tell you this is not the case. I have been doing business with the pharmacy in Casselberry, FL #379 for 13 1/2 years because and only because of the Head Pharmacist Warren Brown you probably are wondering what is so special about Warren to sum it up in a few words EVERYTHING he is the type of pharmacist who watches everything his customers take and always pays close attention to anyone with allergies and if he has any concerns he addresses them right away and should you not pick up your RX while he is there he writes a note attaches it so you are made aware of any concerns he has. I can go on and on about the man who runs the #1 grossing pharmacy and his loyal team of assistants that work their butts off to get thousands of RX’s done because so many people have heard about this team and go to this Pharmacy for that very reason. So sadly without warning Publix fired Warren how do I feel about this well I can tell you unhappy does not even begin to cover how ticked off I am about how he was treated by yet another Large Corp who finds a way to cover up someone else’s errors by firing and valued person such as Warren. I have personally made my phone call regarding this situation to the Head of Pharmacy who is under the impress his district Manager Stan Rouse is the best thing since sliced bread well I personally witnessed Mr. Rouse one day in a very crowded pharmacy acting very unprofessional to the tech’s and then when he left the store and I realized who he was I ran after him to let him know what a fantastic pharmacy #379 is how caring the employees are and he literally ignored me until I ran up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder he did finally turn around but I can assure you he did not want to hear anything I had to say. So in short I feel Stan Rouse is to blame for what has happened to Warren and he doesn’t want to hear from unhappy customers either about the unfairness that Publix has done to Warren but I invite you to contact him anyway and let him know just exactly how you feel and if he is rude to you as I suspect he will be then by all means call and let me Sean Klicker who thinks he’s great know about your experience . I sincerely hope all of his loyal customers join our cause to let PUBLIX no how we feel about this unjust treatment to Warren.

I’m a 25Year ex manager. My father died I worked 13months straight with severe sleep apnea. Put 3 requests for rest all denied 3rd per Dr. filed EEOC complaint lost due to lies. Got right to sue didn’t came back. Not as manager as I had before. Part time fruit cutter due to animosity i might have. Manager and associate Daniel had a bet who would win if they killed everyone in the store! I was forced to quit they lied said job abandoned. Called rat, snitch, retard, and special cuz i got hurt in on a broke pineapple machine that I had replaced with a new one but was told not to use new one. I got hurt. They have denied and used money to pay their way out of having to deal with me. So far lost 2 EEOC cases with facts not lies. They won both. Lawyer for workers comp gave me wrong dates costing me my disability and for trying to work they revoked my 25 year long term disability I paid into. I was wrong for not sitting on my a**. I’m now disabled and they sent the cops to my home yesterday when a member of theirs told me to use Morgan and Morgan after the call the cops were at my door asking about me shooting up the store. Asst prod manager asked me to sell her steroids when I told police where her boyfriend works they pull my wife over for running a red light and they questioned her prescription drugs. When she showed proof they added a cocaine charge to the red light charge talk about corruption. I’m still dealing with their corruption from my workers comp case. They had no clue my mother in law was the floral lady. Now she is being harrased they leaned her house due to me catching the workers comp layer doing illegal activity with giving me wrong dates so I miss my hearings so I lost. This belongs in the media. They have scared every attorney in fl. All because I reported them for not promoting a 44yr black female produce asst manager in Atl. She was scared of retaliation so now i deal with it daily. Never imagined the company I loved was a bunch of corrupt liars I’m now disabled From them and they use their high tech lawyers to abuse me daily. What’s left I have nothing. So lean a witness home to scare them from testifying? My uncle was supervisor for years my brother, sister, nephews and me have worked over 100 years for them and this is my thanks you. Please tell me really what did I ever do to you to deserve my home and life to be destroyed by your company? Associates loved me name another manager in company with 2 perfect AVS scored at 2 diff locations? Knowbody….,

In Volusia County, we have discovered the tie between those supporting the plastics ban on the ban in Tallahassee and Publix Grocery Stores. Publix is usually the leaders of the pack with doing the right thing. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Regardless of what happens with the straw ban in Tallahassee, we are not accepting it in Volusia and Flagler. So you are aware the local environmental and civic groups have come together to work on single use plastic reduction, specifically straws, bags, and Styrofoam. Publix in other states have made strides in getting rid of plastic bags. In Florida there seems to be a choice for $$ over our health and environment. The idea that Public touts recycling the bags is not acceptable. They end up in our waterways and ultimately the ocean. The stores in Volusia will be getting called out soon for damaging our natural environment. There are other options and Publix is very capable of changing the damaging status quo. Lucky’s Market will shame the Publix Stores. Doing nothing is no longer acceptable in Volusia and Flagler Counties!

I shop at #246 in Deerfield. Sometimes when I go in there are managers, or maybe their bosses who make nasty comments about the floral section. They are either mis-informed or don’t have a clue about flowers. This store has the best floral dept. in the area. I have shopped in Publix stores all over Broward County and this store has one of the best floral departments. The flowers are fresh and the area displayed nicely. The kid Dan (I think he is autistic or has a mental disorder) does a great job of cleaning, and even helps me pick nice flowers. Some stores don’t have a nice selection, or have dead flowers, or flowers with slimy stems. Not 246, their flowers are nice. I can tell when Dan is on vacation or hasn’t been in, because the flower department doesn’t look as nice. The managers or their supervisors should complain about the other stores before they start being nasty about this one.

I have shopped at Publix for 32 years and have found the employees helpful and courteous. Lately I have experienced two problems with the way my groceries are bagged. First, too many items are put in one bag which makes them too heavy for me to carry. I recently returned brownies from the bakery because they were placed in the bag on their side so when I got home they were squished. Second, I put my groceries on the conveyor belt in groups, cans and glass items, refrigerator items, produce, paper products, breads, eggs and cleaning items in an effort to keep items together. On Sunday evening when I shopped for a few groceries and I picked up my 2 bags out of my grocery cart to leave, one bag was too heavy and I admit I got annoyed. I turned around before I left the store and placed my bags on the closest closed register and started to redistribute the items from the heavy bag into two separate bags. The items in the bag were: 3 cans of vegetables, a produce container of salsa, a produce container of grapefruit pieces, 3 lbs. of deli ham, 1/2 lb. of deli roast beef and 1/2 lb. of deli cheese. I do not understand why cans are placed in the same bag with refrigerator items and why so much is placed in one bag. When asked by the person at customer service if everything was all right I replied no, do the baggers get charged for each bag they use? Yes, I admit I was annoyed. The front end person walked toward me but made no effort to assist me re-bag my groceries or even ask if he could carry the bags to my car. Instead he turned to the customer service person and rolled his eyes. I expected the employee to be courteous enough not to roll his eyes in front of me and the customer service person to pay closer attention to a customers needs instead of ignoring me after the original inquiry. I will continue to shop at Publix but I will pay closer attention to how my items are bagged.
Perhaps the employees need further training in how to bag groceries and certainly how to remain courteous and professional when dealing with a trying situation.
Thank you for your attention.

I have enjoyed shopping at Publix. I have been under the impression that it was an honorable company that respected its employees and customers. Now I see that you are more concerned about a little press coverage about a few misinformed teenagers than defending our constitutional rights. If these teens would take the time to find out what the NRA is they too may see how mislead they are.
These mass shootings take place where the shooters are “safe”. If there had been armed citizens at the school to defend the students, maybe the only thing they could protest would be the death of a very disturbed shooter.
OH! by the way, take me off your customer list.

Corporations like yourselves that cave to political correctness are giving our nation away and eroding our liberties one cause at a time. Shame on you!

I emailed yesterday on a different page so I hope you got it. I am deeply ashamed of Publix for laying down and caving to Hogg and his band of Bullies. I have a right to shop without interference and you people let them just take over your store. I never in a million years thought my favorite store would cave to bullying. Sense Mr. Hogg and his hateful bunch seem more important then your long time customers I will no longer be shopping at Publix otherwise know as wussies. I was there last week and spent 150.00 but today I went to WD. and spent another 115.00. I will not give my money to a store that caves to bullies. Its been nice for 25 yrs. why did you have to ruin it?
Mark Jones says
Mr. Todd Jones,
I am concerned and it’s unfortunate that you have chosen to cave to Hogg’s latest bullying tactic of “die-ins”. It’s unfortunate Publix doesn’t have the courage of its convictions. This is extortion of values. They should have been arrested and hauled off. A loud-mouthed ignoramus like Hogg and his foolish followers should keep their Hogg-wash to themselves. Guns are not the problem and blaming law abiding Americans for the insanity of these kids that shoot their school mates is. So far I have not heard anyone placing blame on the kid shooters, only law abiding Americans that have a constitutional right to protect ourselves. . Stand for your values and don’t give into extortion.

Mr. Crenshaw,
I’ve enjoyed shopping at your stores over the years even though lately you’ve started increasing prices. Your reaction and caving to the left for lying down on the floor in your store to protest your support of a Republican candidate is counter to everything this country represents. Instead of having them forcibly removed you catered to their civil disobedience and capitulated your freedom of choice to support whom you wanted.
For that reason I will no longer shop at your stores.

So normally I would post something like this but because of the poor customer service at Green wise publix on pga blvd I decided to speak up. Last Friday I purchased my son formula. All weekend he seemed very irritated not like his normal self. Monday night I went to publix to tell them that the can of formula was expired by 7 months they responded go grab another can. Tuesday afternoon could not keep a bottle down with out throwing up. Couldn’t use the bathroom and was extremely irritated. We decided to take him to the ER then my son was transported to another hospital and we stayed there for several hours. Watching my son scream in such pain completely broke my heart. Running all these tests and giving him a IV just to make him feel a little better. Thanks to publix my son was extremely sick from the 7 month old formula. I just hope publix gets there s**t together and learn from this. My son is 3 months old and didn’t deserve to be that sick. Publix has my info and still has not contacted me. To me that is very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful to my self and my son.

As a (former) associate of the PGA Greenwise store, I think you will be glad to hear that the store closed on December 29th. I worked there 11 years, and when my store closed, I went from an average of 32-36 hours a week, to (last week) ZERO hours a week. Likewise most of the Greenwise staff. In my case, I have diabetes and a number of other conditions, and this cut will cause me not only to lose my home, but my medical benefits. In essence, Publix has ‘condemned me to death’. Now, many of my fellow associates were ‘worthless’, but there were also some good ones. So chance are you dealt with some of the many disgruntled ones that were highly dissatisfied with their positions. Sometimes you had to deal with the one or 2 people who couldn’t be pleased under any circumstances; I had one in that store a few months ago that got so enraged over a legitimate issue (I closed the hot bar at 7 P.M. as was scheduled and posted on a sign), and he went absolutely batsh*t when he was refused it when he wanted it at 7:05 (despite the fact that he had been there before 7 P.M. and had THEN showed no interest in it). He was so insane with rage, I sincerely feared for my life, and that he was going to pull a gun or knife on me. In fact, I was afraid to leave the store that night, because I figured he was out waiting for me in the parking lot. So bear in mind that we had to deal with those kind of things from time to time, and after years of hostility pounded into you you can yourself become indifferent and hostile. I worked at the end with some of the people I had started thereith 11 years before, and I was at the point that many of the associates (employees) I had gotten along fine with then were by then ‘enemies’ whom I longer spoke to (except by necessity). That comes in part when you get hostile people on a regular basis that can’t be reasonably dealt with, and, after 11 years, we were all “burned out”. That’s not really much of an excuse for poor service, but at least understand that the conditions made them that way. Personally, though I wasn’t involved in stock at the store, on the occasions I did, I always made absolutely sure that NO expired merch. was on any shelf ***I*** worked on. I can’t speak for others, but that was what I expected on what I worked on: NOTHING expired WHATSOEVER. It appears that my vigilance unfortunately didn’t extend to the whole store. Speaking for my department, though, I can tell you that ALL items had to be dated, NO exceptions, and if they weren’t a manager (either Department or store) would not hesitate to reprimand me and even write me up, so we HAD to be extra vigilant. I don’t know who the manager of that particular department was (since I didn’t deal much at all with any managers outside my own department or store management), but I would have to guess the s wtock crew screwed up on that one.

After shopping for over 12 years at the So.Leesburg Publix, I was shocked today that I almost fell over a dog on a leash near the deli department. When I asked why the dog was in the store she told me that they would not allow her to use the shopping cart. Why would they – this is a food store and NOT A PET STORE. When I questioned several employees, and a Service Customer rep, I was told they were not allowed to question the owners about the dog. What about the Health Code? Also, if someone fell over the dog, the store could be sued for damages. Only certified service animals should be allowed or the animals should be left at home. If this happens again, I will leave my cart at the Manager’s office and leave the store. PLEASE CORRECT THIS SITUATION.

Greetings,
Being a native Floridian, I’ve grown up with Publix.
Your customer service is generally excellent, your stores are clean, and the selection of products are plentiful.
However, each and every time I learn the total of my groceries at the register, I am floored. Every. Time.
I am ignorant in supply and demand costs, but I’m no dummy.
Your prices are simply exhorbitant.
I’m quite certain the upper management, whom earn over a million dollars annually, have no problem purchasing a bag of EIGHT green apples for $5.99.
I become seriously annoyed at Publix prices, and exit the store shaking my head EVERY SINGLE TIME I shop there.
“Aldi” and “Lucky’s” are receiving my hard earned income of lately.
I calculate the receipts from my shopping trips to each grocery store, dividing the total by the number of items purchased.
Even with your BOGO offers, both stores are consistently near HALF the price of Publix.
I can barely afford your store brands as well!
I. Just. Do. Not. Get. It.
So twenty minutes of my life gone, in this fruitless complaint.
…Publix shopping, leaves this consumer with absolutely NO pleasure in my shopping experiences.

The store on Military Trl. in Deerfield Beach is difficult to work at. It is a dumping ground for managers and assistant managers. They are sent there as punishment or to fix problems. They are left there and forgotten, so they give up and do a terrible job of managing. They treat the employees who work for them poorly because they are unhappy. They cause problems and then blame the employees at review time. The assistant manager of my dept. told me he didn’t care if product got damaged because it was crammed into the display, he wanted it out. I pointed out that if it was left in back for one more day while product sold then there would be room and it would be undamaged and still fresh. He said it won’t sell if it is in back. I pointed out that it won’t sell if it is damaged. He didn’t care. It’s his way or the highway. I’m a shareholder and want to limit loss. I like having a job, and really like the customers, so I didn’t make a big deal of it. Next time I’m asking for it in writing.

I worked at the Publix Distribution Center in Deerfield Beach Florida for a month as a Produce Selector and that’s the most unprofessional environment that I have ever worked in. The employees are very ignorant and rude to each other and they use lots of profanity and play lots of loud disrespectful music that shouldn’t be played in the workplace. Because of the unnecessarily loud music and noise going on you can hardly hear in your earpiece at times and it also interferes with the computerized operator that you communicate with to complete your orders (It confuses the system). Most of the employees hired in this position drive the Pallet Jack very reckless and care less about anyone else. I have seen many near misses and accidents where someone was driving reckless on their Pallet Jack and weren’t paying attention causing an accident where they run into the other person and their whole pallet fell, there have also been reports of many people getting hurt within short periods of time. The Managers don’t make it any better because some of them are just as ignorant and careless as the employees, they’ll talk to you any kind of way and carry themselves in a very unprofessional manner. When I was hired I was very excited and couldn’t wait to work for Publix because I had been wanting to become a Publix Employee since my High School days. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving because I got tired of going to what seemed to be a High School and being bullied by everyone, having to defend myself every day. I still think Publix may be a great company but I seriously think that there needs to be some investigation done at the Deerfield Beach Florida location because the same stuff that I am writing about is the same stuff that you see on the News but in most cases it’s too late because someone has already snapped due to the pressure of constantly getting bullied and picked on by everyone. I am stronger than that and that’s why I just said “Forget it” and left but everyone isn’t the same.

With our food supply being poisoned with pesticides and GMOs, I buy only organic products (and standards for organics are decreasing, especially with toxins being released via chemtrails).
I purchased Publix Greenwise lettuce, which had a sterile taste, prompting me to call corporate and to ask if any Greenwise products are irradiated. No one, including the customer service manager, knew the answer to this straightforward question.
I submitted the question via the contact page on the Publix website a week ago, and still have no answer (stated response time is 24 – 48 business hours). Information on What’s Wrong with Food Irradiation can be found online for anyone interested. Organic food, by definition, is not irradiated. Irritated food also must be labeled as such.

I find it very degrading to be asked (hawked) for money at the register for this and that charity that our Local Publix has demanded their cashiers ask the customer to give. When people are so strapped today because fixed income people have NOT received an increase in 3-4 years. Many other folks are in the same situation. I know the cashiers are required to ask and I think that sucks! I suggest you get the money from your CEO’s instead of hawking the poor people.

Recently there was a burglary at one of your Publix stores in Marietta Georgia. That’s right, $5000.00 went missing after a routine money transfer. Karen, the store manager, was fired after a short investigation. It was proven that she had no role in taking the money. As a strong military family with over 50 years of combined service we are demanding accountability! We can say without any doubt that Karen is the most honest, caring, sincere, and dedicated associate. Karen has invested well over 20 years of her life to the Publix brand. That’s right, 20 years! Our family is consoling Karen and urging her to move forward. We suspect the robbery was committed by the higher management of this store and used Karen as the scapegoat to self promote his career. We demand accountability! Where did the money go? Who was responsible? Why was Karen held to such ridicule while the real thief walks away? We want the thief exposed and prosecuted to the highest extent of the law! Our military family expect this from the Publix brand.

To whom it may concern,
I have been a loyal Publix customer for many years now. I love how the employees go out of the way to help me find things I need. The reason I am sending this to you is because my husband likes a certain beer that he gets there and I just learned that you are no longer having St. Paulies Beer in your stores any more. I know there are also other beers you have taken off the shelves too. I really don’t want to have to go somewhere else to get this but I may have to now . Please reconsider your decision to do this. I know I will not be the only person to tell you this. Just think it over is all I ask.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Meg Briggs

I’m the general manager with BMW of Ocala and Porsche of Ocala. It’s my understanding you’re rated #1 in customer experience. It’s ironic we purchase $1000’s and $1000’s of dollars at your local store only to be told you could careless about us or our business. Daily we purchase items from your store for our guests such as fruits, sodas, flowers, chocolates an other supplies. Our premium brand dealerships treats our customers like royalty by making sure they feel special because they are. Ironically I’m emailing you because of what appears to be your greed. We purchase our team a personal cake for their anniversaries and birthdays. Also we purchase every customer a congratulations cake every time someone purchases a car so they can celebrate. We are committed, it’s our single most important goal at our business to treat our team as well as we treat our best customer. Your local Publix employee are just as kind and caring trying to keep your clients loyal. Someone in your management decided you weren’t making enough money on the screen art cakes we’ve purchased over the last 3 year. Publix never asked us if we would pay more the just decided not to carry them anymore with no concern for our customer experience. We’re so disappointed about that upper management is so disconnected to what I thought was the number one customer experience example in the United States. One last comment, Sam’s Club has the machine. The cakes are twice the size and their $5.00 cheaper. We operate our dealerships solely based on employee experience & customer experience. Our team makes sure people feel appreciated an important. You’ve lost your core beliefs and thousands, tens of thousands of dollars in business.

Today at Publix located inSspringhill, FL on US 19, I was told corporate told them to discontinue making rye bread in the regular loaves. What I dont understand is on many occasions they sell out before 12noon. I’m told to get there early or reserve a loaf or two. Why does an organization stop making and selling a product that appears to sell so well?
Doesn’t seem like good business.

i can’t believe that your company could be so offensive as to bow to leberals/socialist/communist/democrats (which only make up 14 percent of the population) and put covers on the president’s pictures. There are a lot of other magazines that need cove but not the president or is family
Please release all the prejudice staff /employee’s who passed this memo to all your stores or face a backlash to all Your stores. Rethink your policies, stop being prejudices against the president of America. Show some respect for all those who voted for our president.
I don’t care if you like him or not, think he’s a good or bad president that’s not what your in business for (or are you trying is be a wing of the democrat party) I hope your in business to sale groceries, maybe not.

Longtime Publix shopper. Was shopping at old Publix when meat dept. started messing with me. I’d buy 2 Greenwise filet for the tenderness. All of a sudden they started messing with me and trying to talk me into beef on the shelf rather than fresh cut. I went to the new Publix across 4th St. and they treated me like a queen. Got the best filet and prime. Then just before Christmas I noticed ALL the employees were arguing with me trying to tell me filet is the same as tenderloin. I do NOT intend to be brainwashed by anyone. They also started cutting the beef differently, causing me to throw away 2 steaks. I WILL NEVER BUY BEEF AT PUBLIX AGAIN! Why do you have employees LIE to customers? Also, a neighbor bought me my first canoli and I loved it because it had delicious chocolate chips on both ends at the old Publix. Now there are NO chips at either store. WHY? I used to love Publix. Now I see you are no better than any other large corporation that cares ONLY about your bottom line, NOT YOUR CUSTOMERS. Bye Publix!

61 year old disabled shopper XXXXXXed out by Key West Publix Manager Kevin Piper in front of lines of patrons at checkout for having his small 10 lb therapy dog in the shopping cart on a blanket. As disabled physically he cannot walk, shop and hold a dog leash at the same time. I also have the dog for PTSD that started when as a former NY firefighter he responded to WTC on 9/11 to remove bodies in market below subway concourse. He had previously provided doctors certification of disability and therapy dog that also alerts to asthma triggers. The manager would not give his business card and lied and said Health department said he could ban service dogs from shopping carts. In touch with Florida DOH today that states ADA gives absolute right to service dog and it does not need to be on leash if disability does not allow. Says dog must be under control which his is sitting quiet on blanket in cart. This store bullies and uses intimidation for personal pleasure. Filing this with Publix Corp in Lakeland Fl. No such problem at Winn Dixie and Publix manager said he would rather lose my 10k a year in business than have a small service dog in one of his carts. .. Said and quoted “Don’t you ever let me catch you with a dog in one of my carts again”. Ground Zero disabled firefighter senior and should not be abused in this way.

For the past 8 years I have prepared Christmas dinner and invited up to 12 of our park residents. I attempt to invite folks that have no family in the area or no one to share the holiday with. I have done a standing rib roast everyone of those years and other than 2 of those years I’ve purchased the roast from Publix and have experienced nothing but great reviews. this year was the exception. I purchased an 8.6# roast, to feed 8 guest. Prepared it and roasted it the same as always.Kosher salt, cracked black pepper, herbe de provence .in a butter rub, roasted to rare/medium center. made 10 beautiful slices , placed it on a holiday platter and brought it to the table. It’s then that I noticed our guest struggling. We had provided steak knives but these knives weren’t up to the task. not only was this toughest, chewiest prime rib I’d ever prepared but it had absolutely no flavor. Of course my wife began the questions ; What did I do different? What spices, what temperature ? The answer was I did nothing different. I bought a rib roast for a good price ($59.96) and received an inferior product. If this was a “choice” cut then the USDA grading system needs to be re-visited.

This past Monday I was the recipient of excellent customer service by Amberly Shorette, Floater Pharmacist, in your NE Pine Island Rd store in Cape Coral, FL. My doctor’s office had sent a prescription that I needed immediately to the wrong store. Amberly tracked it down, had it reinstated in the system, and filled it while I waited… all within 5 minutes. All the while she maintained a calm, courteous, and professional manner. Her ability to take control of the situation and rectify it was truly remarkable. She represented the best of Publix. Please feel free to contact me for further information if you should so desire.

Very disappointed to learn that Publix has donated $800 ,000.00 to a campaign against medical cannabis in Florida. As a registered voter.as well as a regular Publix shopper, I fail to understand why Publix would take a political stance on any issue and donate funds that could be used to benefit their customers. For the record I am a conservative senior who has never used cannabis, but am in favor of letting the voters decide the outcome of this debate . Will seriously be considering my options for future grocery purchases.

My bad experience at: 13752 Little Rd Hudson, FL 34667
I have had a very bad experience in that deli. We were in a line for subs, we were in the line for about 10 minutes. So there was a lady getting her meat and cheese and decides she wants a sub. So the employee named Jess decided to bring her immediately over and make her a flat bread instead of telling the customer that she has to wait in line for the sub. So I speak up to the employee and say that we were next. The employee, Jess gives me an evil look and says I took care of her over there and I spoke up and said that the customer needs to wait in line just the rest of us. Jess in turn says to her manager who was right next to her, Darcy. Darcy in turn calls for another associate to come over and help. I was expecting an apology from Jess. She was very rude. I got nothing from her. She handled the situation very wrong. Instead of telling the customer nicely that there is a line for the subs and that someone will get to her shortly she allows this customer to jump in front of myself and like 4 other people which got everyone in the line upset. VERY RUDE SERVICE AND I MAY NOT COME BACK TO THAT PUBLIX EVER. I am very disappointed with that service and with that employee Jess.

Using the sales flyer that goes through 6/29 I went to the bakery in my local Publix at St Augustine Beach to get a loaf of Deli Style Rye Bread, (pump/rye) they had none, Inquired as to the availability, was told we don’t make it here, have no call for it. I informed them it was an advertised item, was told they do not have to carry, stores can opt out! Excuse me, do I see a case of false advertising here! This is not the first time this has happened at this store, I am done with this one, we have two other Publix Markets, a little further, but MUCH better managed. We have a Winn Dixie here, I shop there a lot, very polite employees.

Quick question.
Your coupon policy states that acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon..what I would like to know what does this mean. If a coupon says limit 4 coupons per transaction does the store have to follow what the coupon says or can the store honor more then the 4 in the same transaction. I had thought the words “subject to” mentioned that the store could go by the store policy or if they wanted to the could choose to go with what the coupon it self has written on it.
Thank you

I am a resident of Town ‘n Country in Tampa, Florida and have been shopping at the Publix Twelve Oaks Plaza Store for almost 20 years. In the past, I have received coupons in the Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times newspapers, but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen one in the paper. Today a friend gave me one that was in Sunday, April 17, 2016, newspaper for $5.00 off a $40.00 order. This is the second time that she had a coupon and I did not. When I talked to the store manager at Twelve Oaks Plaza, he advised me that some newspapers get the coupon because of the surrounding competition. What competition? The Publix that I speak of is at the corner of Hillsborough Avenue and Sheldon Road (taken over from Albertsons). The only competition that is there is Aldi, Walgrens (no groceries) and CVS (again no groceries). My location has Walmart (groceries), Target (groceries) and Winn Dixie (groceries) all about 2 to 2-1/2 mile radius. It might be more profitable for me to shop Winn Dixie or Target where prices are comparable or even cheaper. I think your Marketing Department should review the areas where they insert coupons in local newspapers. Or better yet, get rid of the 5-page glossy Italian ads (no recipes) that are probably quite costly. Needless to say, I feel discriminated against because I live in the area I do. My family and friends agree with me that it may be time to shop elsewhere.

I have contacted you in the past, so this is a follow-up. I live in Boiling Springs, SC. I love PUBLIX stores and our closest one is about 18 miles away from me ( on the east side of Spartanburg, SC). I contacted before to ask if there is any chance of Boiling Springs getting a store? We only have an Ingles (local chain), Walmart, BiLo (local chain) and recently an ALDI store. We NEED a Publix! We are the second fastest growing area in SC. We recently had our main highway widened to 4 lanes. I was told in a former email that “your people” we’re watching this growth. This past week another 220 apartment, 75 patio home community has been announced. We also have several new home neighborhoods being built. ( most have at least 100 homes). As you can see we need another grocery store and many people would love to have a Publix. Your stores are far superior to any of our others. What can I do to get a Publix store in our area? Please help! Thank you.

Every retail person should have to go to “Publix School”. Thank you for bringing Publix to Tennessee.

I placed a deli/bakery order at the Villages Gainesville Publix. When I arrived and asked for my order I was told, by the Deli Manager, that I was at the wrong store. She picked up the phone to call another store to check at the same time another deli employee told me that my order was store canceled the day before. Basically the Deli Manager lied to me leading me to believe I was in the wrong store! When I asked what a store cancel was I was told that the store canceled the order for some reason. Then I was told because I had called and canceled it. And then I was told that they had no way to confirm the cancellation because they didn’t have any contact information for me. I was told they’d recreate the order for me but it would take a few minutes. Which made me, the order, late for the luncheon it was intended for. I was assured by both the Deli Manager and the Store Manger that I would receive what I’d ordered as quickly as possible, including the desert tray. Nope. Not only did we end up being about 30 minutes late, but the order that Publix eventually provided for us was NOT what was ordered even though I was assured it would be. I just spoke with the store manager, who had no answers because he hasn’t spoken with the individuals involved and his attitude was basically I should be happy with what I got since I didn’t have to pay for it. Originally I was told by the manager they’d charge me 50% for my order, after waiting 30 minutes they finally decided I didn’t have to pay for it. How nice of them. I’m supposed to be grateful that the Deli Manager lied to me on several occasions, I had to wait for an order that was supposed to have been ready to pick up so I could be on time for my event, and even after waiting the order I received was not what I ordered??? I’m supposed to be grateful that Publix picked up the tab???? I guess that’s why I didn’t get my actual order. What I received for “free” was much less expensive than what I had ordered.

Had purchased some baby formula from this location and after baby got sick we found out that the formula was expired .i called the store manger while on my lunch break advising him of this information he advised me that he still thought the formula was fine and that the smell it had was not from it being expired . ( in which is not true per gerber ) however I advised him that after I got off work I would be there to exchange the formula for some in date formula. Later that night ( 7 hours after I spoke with him ) I went to exchange the formula and once in the baby isle found that the very same kind of formula and several more were expired and still on the shelf. I looked at the other baby items such as he gerber snacks and some of the baby food and found over 25 items expired over 5-6 months and some a year or better . I then notified the manger on duty showing him these expired items and he was truly speechless . He is the customer service manger with a infant of his own he told me .so he started taking the items off the shelf . 7 hours of the store being open and notified of the expired formula and the store manger never check for other expired items ( the baby isle is very small at this location it took me ten minutes to find the items I had found ) however once the direct manger called me he advised me that store manger was a good guy that just made a mistake and that he had spoke to him about the information given to me in regards to the expired formula which is not the main reason for my concern . The once I notified the cooperate office in FL they said the store manger said he did go back to check the other baby formula but checked the wrong kind ( wow!!! ) after days of talking to publix about this formula that was the first I had heard that story!! Like I said small isle took me ten minutes to find over 25 items expired , once in the baby isle he expired formula was in the very front so no telling how many people bought expired formula / snacks /baby food … Publix wanted to express there concern and pay me 100 hahahahah !!! They were very rude and told every story in the book . My baby is still passing this expired formula so with lots of TLC we have hope it will pass soon . Please say a little prayer if you like for my 9 month old who has had a rough time with this for as j also got home the snacks I had that she had also been eating had also been expired … Moms check those dates formula has a use by date on there for a reason . If you don’t believe me call gerber or the FDA as well as your state . They will answer any questions you may have. If you bought from the baby section the month of January 2016 especially January 14-22 check your dates and your babies they may be fussy for. Reason !!!

Over the past year I have commented that Publix has increased their prices overall considerably. The basic staples, milk, eggs bread and meats are out of line as I began comparison shopping, with Kroger. During the holidays, your baking items were way overpriced compared to other stores. I purchased fruit cake mix from Publix @ $5.69,the next day I went to Kroger and found the same fruit cake mix for $3.99, flour was on sale for $1.99 compared to $3.29 at Publix. I realize stores have different “sales”,but I didn’t find these at Publix. When I took the fruit cake mix back to Publix & told them the difference in price,& would she match Krogers price I was told “nope”we don’t do that and was given a credit. With that attitude, I have been doing the majority of my shopping elsewhere.

Today I fainted at the Brooker Creek Publix in Palm Harbor, Florida. I just want to say how much I appreciated being treated with such personal concern and support by Jerry Kingsley, General Manager, and his two assistants Brett and Dalton. They handled the situation professionally and efficiently–and in a very sensitive way. They also did not breathe a sigh of relief when I left the premises: Mr. Kingsley insisted that I call him when I got home. (I didn’t accept the offer of either Brett or Dalton driving me home; I was feeling much better after I drank the orange juice they gave me.) Again, one of the biggest reasons I shop at Publix is not just the great selection of goods and reasonable prices and the cleanliness of the store, but the very personal way I am treated when I walk in the doors. I feel like an individual and am treated with the most beautiful manners by the staff. You don’t know how curtly and brusquely senior citizens are treated, so I really appreciate a genuinely friendly smile, a cheerful greeting, and a few minutes of someone listening to me. Well done!! Keep up the quality personal relationship with the customers.

Now that management doesn’t have to clock in because of salary, most are hardly there when needed. The head store manager n deli manager at store 704, are hardly ever there. I had family that worked there n was told work ethics doesn’t matter for promotions. Most of the full timers have quit or gave up their full time in the deli over these issues. Poor management makes for a poor place to work. This store is in Melbourne Florida.

I will be following up with a letter of the great team of employees you have running your publix store located at windoer square in West Melblourne, Florid. I have been shopping there for many years and have never had a bad expierence. I can sincerely say that a great number of you employees know me by name and this is something I have never experienced at any other store I shop at. For example: Jason Cohen, Nicholas Langone, and Steve Derrick just to mention a few are the most polite, knowledgeable and friendly managers I’ve had the pleasure of talking to. your customer service desk also has Mrs Yvonne Demeo, Lynsey Warner, Randy and Mark who are so pleasant and polite from the moment the customer walks through the doors with a warm welcome and even when there is mayhem going on around them. I shop at this publix four to five times weekly even though I have two other stores located closer to my home I choose to go here. Every Sunday morning I go in for my cold cuts and your deli manager Jenny Driggers is the sweetest lady, always has a great big smile on her face and goes beyond the call of duty to greet everyone and I can remember I bought something back that was done wrong and she personally checked it for me and re-cut my meat to my liking herself. ms Dayse Pittman and Bill are the other two employees in your deli department that I always request because they please their customers with pleasure. I know that most of the people love and are quick to complain on bad experiences and not enough comment on the good. I love to shop at your publix and always will. These are extremely good employees and I believe this should be noted.

I would also like to make a complaint supporting the below comment from LC. Brian Blankenship has made a variety of death threats to many women and claims to be an asset deli manager at publix and has come on to many social media platforms to make death treats to many woman in particular. As of late he has also included me into his threats. He has said if any police show up at his house he would not hesitate to shoot and claims to be able to delete any comments that may be posted to the publix site.
His death threats towards women are very planned out and in depth and I also have many recordings over months and screen shots to back up my complaint and you may contact me at any point. For the proof and evidence. As I have worked many hours each and everyday he shows up live broadcasting on periscope to make the live threats under stormchaser3488 or sn parabriantv – please please take action as he is a threat to many people.

Hi,
I’d like to lodge a complaint on one of your asst deli Mgr name, Brian Blankenship who’s stationed at Columbus, Georgia.
He’s been making threats and posting nudity videos/images on social media platforms, such as Instagram & periscope since May and August respectively this year.
He too mentioned in one of his video that he has access to the company’s main account and that he’s going to delete any complaints that will be lodged against him should anyone complained about him.
Kindly take note that some of his videos have been posted by public on streaming channel as evidence of his violent threats towards women.
It is a real shame that a staff in management level has been taking advantage of these social media to post threats to innocent beings and has brought much public dispute in the process. A couple of his social media accounts have been suspended due to the content he’s posted but that did not stop him from continuing posting his threats on several social media platforms.
Below are some of his account on various social media platforms.

I too will not hesitate to post the videos and images of his threats on social media platform to expose him, as well as saving them as evidences.
Kindly contact LC @ l****@gmail.com as I’m one of the victims in his rampage since early May. I’ve got plenty of screenshots and video evidence to support my claims towards his harassments.
I hope that Publix management will look into this matter and not ignore this.
Looking forward to your favourable reply soonest.

Your slogan , “Where Shopping is a Pleasure ” For Who ? When ? Where ? Have any more Jokes ? This has to be a joke! here is my experience! On 8/8/15 approx 10:45 AM I was shopping the Publix Store on Haverhill and Roebuck diagonally from the U.S. Post office West Palm Beach, Florida. When I was done shopping I went to the cashiers ? Lo and behold only one cashier #2 stall for multiple items and there was a line ? The express line had people with multiple (many ) packages. I asked a young man who was an employee to see if the mgr can open another cashier to handle all these people plus me . Well after waiting 8 minutes and no one even coming to look at this ridiculous situation and customers grumling ? I did what any red-blooded american would do ! I left the cart with all the groceries 9Approx $92.00 worth)and went looking for another market . . . .The Publix Mkt on Community Dr At Military Tr in West Palm Beach wasn’t any better this group of cashier’s collect money and have to bag the groceries as well ? ? Winn-Dixie ? What a perfect place to shop ! Cashier’s with baggers and while there were people in line they were moving very quickly ! Now, that’s what I call a pleasure to shop ! When I told my friends of my experience they said , “so what’s new ?” They shop at WalMart where there are more cash registers and baggers than any 2-3 Mkts around ! Hmmm, I’ll hafta try them. Shopping should be a pleasure BUT Not where there is a shortage of people there to take your money .I have heard stories that it takes more time to go thru the cashier lines at Publix than it takes to shop the whole store ? ? Did I do right in leaving the groceries or would Publix have paid me to return tyhe merchandise to then shelves ? ? ? Whattya think ??

I recently visited the publix at 5655 Red Bug Lake Rd Winter Springs, Fl 32708. When I went to pay the cashier didn’t even do any eye contact or greeted me. I said well hello to you and he only gave me a fake sarcastic smile. For this kind of service, I might as well shop at WALMART, where at least they offer lower prices, and there customer service is no different than PUBLIX. I use to love shopping at publix, but lately there customer service has been inconsistent. The cashier was Taylor R.

I just want to praise one of the employees at the Lee Crossings Publix in Lee County Ga. She has been at the store since it opened and is always courteous and helpful. I rarely see her any more and found out that her hours have been cut and she is concerned she will lose her health benefits. Publix has a jewel in this employee and I would like to see her sweet smile more when I am there. Please treat your good and loyal employees right. Also this is the only store I see having women bag and carry out groceries and bring in the heavy shopping carts all day and then have the young men on registers. I just shake my head at this.

I failed to name the wonderful employee that deserves praise. Her name is Angela Holland. She has been there since this store opened and is the friendliest and favorite of mine along with Miss Pat.

Attn Publix legal Dept: If you had a functional corporate contact Email number, the following comment would not be public.
As an industry leader, I am sure Publix is seeking to replace BPA-containing labels and receipts with a safer kind, in the common interest and to avoid future corporate liability.
Please also be aware that prescription labels used by (at least two) Publix pharmacies, being wax-based, are subject to have the text rub away merely from handling. This is a more serious problem with labels for 90-day Rx’s, and if a customer has at home more than one such Rx. Subject to wear-away are the drug name, dose instructions, Rx number, etc. Publix drugstore may not be the only one with this problem, but you can be first to address it.
Francisco Gonzalez says
The practice of making customers wait at the Deli counter while employees address the Internet orders coming in is an insulting one. If customers take the time to come in and take a number, they should have priority over customers who will be in the store later to pick up their order. I’ve brought this to the attention of the managers in Store 1429 since before the new structure was built, but now the new management deems it proper once again to ignore waiting customers while the orders of customers not in the store are served. What’s up with Publix? Today I waited for twenty minutes while two employees served the waiting customers and two more worked on Internet orders. Either hire more servers or close the waiting area and only accept Internet orders. If the executives at the Main Office don’t address this problem to the satisfaction of the waiting customers whose time is just as valuable as the rest, then I will no longer shop at that store. I walked out today without buying anything and shopped at Whole Foods where clerks are more mindful of customers at the counter. Further, when I asked to speak to the Store Manager, I was told by the Customer Service Manager that he’s on vacation, advising me that the Assistant Managers would be in the following morning if I wanted to return. Is this what Publix labels as pleasurable shopping? It’s not to me and I’m sure there are many more customers who feels just as insulted by this practice.
Jude Ceant says
Majority of the customer complaints here are tedious and unnecessary. One bad experience does not justify hating publix. When you have a problem everytime you go there then yes you can complain.

I shop at store #1394 almost every Sunday. I have never had a bad experience until today.
I had a church function I called the deli at 7:13 am to see if i could place a order for 20 pieces of chicken to be ready by 9:00 am. The associate who answered the phone was very polite he put me on hold to see he return and said No the hot table items are not available until 10AM. I then said to him so i can’t purchase chicken before 10 o’clock he said no I ask to speak with a manager someone by the name of Shara answered I then explained the situation to her and she replied the same way she was very rude to my wife when she told her that she also works in the deli dept she replied then you should know. I ask to speak with store manager she said sure then return and said he was in a meeting! I hung up and called back to speak with store manager directly. I didn’t catch his name someone with very strong accent. I again explain the situation to him and got the same results. so my question is do all customers get treated this way?If i shop early i can’t purchase chicken? is it just this location. my wife works in the Deli and she says if customers want chicken at 8;00 am they do it I won’t purchase anything else for this location. I will take my business somewhere else where I feel appreciated.

I am writing to let you know how much I love my local Publix store at Emory Commons in Decatur, Georgia. This is new for me, because I’ve been a loyal Kroger shopper for over fifty years. I was familiar with the Kroger layout and had settled into a nice rut.
About five years ago, though, I began to have severe back problems. To make a long story short, I ended up having a total of six surgeries on my back, and had to spend extended periods of time in physical therapy. I have had to quit driving; I now live in a ‘senior’ apartment building; and I walk using a walker.
I discovered that the people at Kroger were not very helpful as I became more needy. They are so focused on moving customers through their store in a speedy manner that there is little or no provision for handicapped shoppers.
I have only recently discovered just how wonderful my local Publix store is. Our bus takes us to Publix every Thursday. I’ve been amazed. The Manager, James Gehring is usually right up front to welcome our bus full of grey-haired shoppers, many of whom are using walkers. He and John Davis make themselves available to help us whenever needed. They help us reach items, tell a few bad jokes, assist our bus driver in loading our bus, and make our day better in so many ways. These two guys are the most visible, but all Publix employees have the same helpful attitude and even the outside vendors stocking the shelves are helpful.
This Publix store is smaller than the giant Kroger where I used to shop, but amazingly enough, I have found all my favorite brands there. I’ve even found my favorite canned Freestone peaches, which Kroger only stocked once in a blue moon. I’m a happy camper now, and wanted the Publix corporate office to know that things are going well here. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Elaine Wimberly

Several months ago my Publix put up signs in front of the store reminding people to bring their reusable shopping bags. I thought it was a great idea but I also thought the signs should also be placed out into the parking lot so people can see them when they are first coming in and consequently can just grab them from their car instead of going back to their car when they see the sign in front of the store. And I’m sure a lot of people do not want to walk back to their car to get the bags.
I told the manager of the store and he thought it was a great idea and said he would see what he could do. But then all the signs were gone! I asked recently why that happened and was told it was just a marketing thing to get people to buy the reusable bags!
You tell everyone how green Publix is but then you pull something like this? I think those signs need to be put back up in the parking lots. It will cause a lot of people to remember their bags and save Publix money on the plastic ones. Most importantly it will help the environment.

I will follow this up with a written letter..but..as a faithful Publix customer I was wondering WHY you chose to change the containers for your fresh fruit. Did you take into consideration your clientele. .those of us with arthritis or other conditions that effect our ability to open these containers without the assistance of a flat end screwdriver butter knife or any other tool that might work..I have been told that this is what it is and will remain as such..don’t you remember if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I llve in Sunrise, FL and today shopped in your Tamarac Midway Mall store. I notice that even though it is being recalled, Beneful dog food is still on your shelves. I notified someone named Bill who was claiming to be management, and frankly, he could not have been less empathetic or caring about the product. This is NOT the customer service Publix purports to address and I am more than turned off by both the store and its management. Someone who is reading this EMail might want to do a little research on the recall and do the responsible thing in taking it off the shelves. When I mentioned the fact that dogs were getting sick and dying from this product, this “so-called” manager, Bill could not have appeared colder. Hopefully someone will address this situatiion. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

I have been shopping at Publix of Dadeland for many years, but since they changed the Meat Manager we have seen a decline in the service, they are always out of some meat, blaming the truck for not arriving on time; shelves are empty. I have heard customers complaining about not finding the meat and how things are not the same since the previous manager left like a year ago. Assistant manager is very arrogant . If they continue like this you are going to lose many customers.

Well I will Attempt to Find a Real Email for Corporate for Publix since “if they don’t KNOW they can’t Fix It..and “IT” Needs “Fixing” or They will Find themselves like the Winn Dixies here and OUT of Business. We have resided in Brevard County full time and permanent for over 31 years. We’ve been in a certain area of Brevard for over 15+ years. We have tried to SUPPORT our Local stores and truly do NOT like “WALLYWORLD” although for Pure convenience my husband will go. Now we USE other stores for a multitude of Food items so we can get the Best. I have ALWAYS Cooked for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year my husband wanted us to go out for a dinner, but I still wanted the Left overs to give to our grandchildren. So I “repeatedly” had to Try to Place the ORDER for the so-called Thanksgiving Meal that the DELI Manager told me Repeatedly, when I asked..”Is this REAL Food and Home made?” She’d say over and over, Yes it is, probably won’t be as good as what You cook but it’ll be Great! So my husband and grandson picked up the ORDER Wednesday evening. I ordered a LARGE which was a 16-18 lb turkey, even though we have NO IDEA what Size it was, since it was NOT listed, and it wouldn’t have mattered since it was FULL of Liquid and a WHITE Substance, Looked like Crisco, have NO IDEA “WHAT” it was, but we went out, had our Meal, came home, put the TURKEY in the oven to HEAT it UP, and placed the “Home-made???” Sides in the Bag to send home with the grandsons. Well, I kept a little bit for my husband and when I opened up the “Potatoes and the Stuffing” and I didn’t even Bother with the REST, I was SO UPSET. My daughter and I are one a Vegan and other a Vegetarian, so we pay attention to the Potatoes and Veggies since that’s what WE Eat. I Immediately after she got home to Orlando told her to ‘for the boys” make sure they Put the Potatoes and Stuffing in the oven and maybe THAT would help…My daughter then asked me If I “read’ the Ingredients? I said, Yes, and have to say, when ANY “FOOD” has a LIST OF Ingredients that are LITERALLY “30” or so, geez even more than 4 is BAD..if it’s Potatoes! THATS NOT FOOD. I will be bringing SOME of it back to the store in a bag and taking the $84.99 as a LOSS and a LESSON. People Lie, and apparantly not too many Care whether or not they OFFER This “FOOD” as Home-made that is clearly CRAPOLA in a tray. I would NOT feed this to ANYTHING. So, now we will CONTINUE to go to Many stores, But Publix will NOT be ONE of them. This after a gradual but Steady Loss of Quality and Customer Service at this Publix for years now. I know why SO many people and children are sick, we have a couple in the family, we ourselves completely changed OUR DIETS because there is SO MUCH FAKE and DANGEROUS “stuff” they CALL FOOD and it is NOT< it is Chemicals and Lab created Junk that can and DOES cause More Health problems than just about anything else..think about it…More Diabetes TYPE 1 in children then Ever before, NO CURE, More A.D.D more ADHD, More Celiac, Autism, and TONS OF Intestinal "ISSUES", FOOD ALLERGIES, More health problems when it SHOULD be Less. So, while I will NEVER Trust this or any Publix again, this was a costly LESSON in WHY NOT TO TRUST Publix. Sad after SO many years of it being a Premium store to what it IS now. We are done. Hoping for a Whole Foods store near us soon, anything Natural and REAL would be a Blessing..Tired of Reading a LIST of Ingredients a Mile Long..

Sadly, I have seen a steady decline in customer service in their stores, in several FL cites for years. People no longer have high standards, therefore, hiring employees who can provide excellent service is out of the question. I believe WDW is the only ones who cornered that market.

“Poor Packaging”
Hello – I bought the already cooked sliced turkey and gravey from your meat dept. The packaging reflected sliced white turkey with creamy gravey. I opened the package and made the slices as stated on the directions and placed it into the microwave. I was really excited, as being a single person to have this gorgeous white sliced turkey in creamy gravey. but when I opened up the package and poured it into a bowl, all I got was hucks of dark meat ( not white sliced turkey) with dark peppery gravey… Very Sad and Bamboozled.. your packaging is very deceiving.
Let me just say this” My dogs enjoyed it “.. Never will I purchase a Publix brand…..

good Morning.
I live in Wilton Manors on 6th Avenue across from where a Wal-Mart will be opened in 2015.(was a K-Mart) My complaint is that I do shopping at 5 points Publix. Love the store the cashiers and the drugstore is really great. this Publix has turned out to be nothing but a glorified 7/11. they have limited goods and I find my self going either to Coral Ridge or 15th Street Publix (just spent $120.90 there) my third time in there since Friday 11/21 My concern is with Wal-Mart opening I’ll probably go shopping there rather than making the longer trips to Coral ridge or 15th Street. I really don’t want to shop anywhere other than Publix but must say it’s frustrating to go into 5 points and start shopping and have to go to the other ones to finish. The idea of walking across the street into a Wal-Mart may be to tempting to resist. Oh by the way I live in a 150 Condominium and shopping at Publix is where everyone in pour complex shop. It would be a shame if they also end up at Wal-Mar. Can you enlarge 5 point and stock more item????? With all the new condo’s etc being built in the Wilton Manors area I’m sure it would pay to make it a super Publix.
Thanks for your consideration.

Well today was the worst shopping trip for me at a Dothan, Al publix by the Home Depot. I brought two other ladies with me to help learn how to shop and use coupons. After all items were scanned, bagged and started scanning our coupons a csm came over and started stating we couldn’t use the ones that didn’t have a specific size listed. If it’s a mfg coupon and it says “any” than why does it need a specific size. Also they had chinet plates on sale and a peelie was attached but was told we couldn’t use that coupon. My goodness it is on the product in your store. What is going on with this new policy? Publix used to be the friendliest store to shop, not anymore. Publix prices are always higher but I enjoyed shopping there for the bogo deals and coupon friendly but I will go back to Walmart, they price match and saving money is what I need to do for my family. We left out buggies and went straight to Walmart. The manager followed me out and said “I just want to make sure we are on the same page” I said “yep, we are, not shopping publix anymore”. I really hate this.

To Whom it may concern
I have been shopping at Publix’s since I moved to this town in 1986. It was always a nice experience the pleasant staff and managers if it wasn’t for the older women at check out and each department so clean and friendly I would not set another foot in that store. Now the only reason I go in that store is for buy one get one free, bakery for bread and pomegranate yogurt (ALWAYS OUT} . The had a sale 10 for $10.00 so I went to get a rain check after a very long wait only one person at 5pm . She proceeded to tell me she could only write 8 I said that makes no sense it is on sale for 10 for $10.00 . I ask to talk to manger she came up and told me the same thing. I went home and looked up on your site and it did not say that . I called the next day ask to talk to manager it was grocery manager and he told me that I was right. I feel like the office staff needs to be better informed of the rules and not waste my time. Also it was 5pm and I told the girl she needed more help there where 3 checkers and one girl in office she told me they where all at lunch . I don’t know who does the schedule but they need to get someone else to do it because they don’t know what they are doing. Another thing when I’m buying 2 carts full of groceries during holidays and I walking out the door and manager is standing there I would like if someone would say thank you for shopping here. I can go to Winn Dixie or Walmart for that kind of treatment where they ignore you and atmosphere use to be so friendly and pleasant it total has changed the workers seem to be under a lot of pressure I truly feel sorry for them. Oh am I allowed to order a case of pomegranate yogurt my family eats about 20 in a week. I was told if the item is on shelf ,which it very seldom is, you are not allowed I would like to know if this is true.
From a very unhappy customer

I have been shopping at the Palatka, Florida Publix’s since 1986 when I moved in this town. The store has changed so much these last few years . I’m going to Winnie Dixie more than half the time now. The older ladies who check you out are so friendly and all the departments. The office up front one girl and assist manger do not know what they are doing. They where pleasant but need to better informed. I went in to purchase the sale on yogurt 10 for 10 dollars well they where out of pomegranate (as always) so I went to get rain check . The girl proceeded and told me could only write it for 8 yogurts . I said they are on sale for 10 for 10 dollars that doesn’t make any sense to me . The young girl said sorry that the new rules. I ask for manager she came up and told me same thing. I went home and looked up your polices and it did not say that . I called the following Sunday and talked to grocery manager and he told me that wasn’t right they should have wrote it for 10.
I also am upset at Christmas time when you have two carts for of grocery if manager is standing by door you don’t even get a Thank You for shopping at Publix’s . I can go to Walmart and get treated like that or Winnie Dixie. The stores whole atmosphere has changed in that store where you just don’t want to go back anymore. We go there now buy one get one free, bakery bread and pomegranate yogurt. My husband comes from a very large Italian family and I cook that way for him. Let me tell you that cost a lot and I use to spend a lot at your store at least 300.00 to 200.00 a week .
I don’t know who does the work schedule but a 5:00 pm 3 checkers and one person in office I was waiting for so long I said you need more people and she said they where all at lunch at one of the busiest times in the store really some in the store better learn how to do schedule better .

Dear Sir:
As per Publix policies, please consider this letter a formal complaint against your store manager at your store in Pooler, ga
On several occasions that included October 23, 2014 I will like to bring to your attention the rude and incompetent behavior. His attitude toward Afro- American that shop at your store is outrageous. Today I witness him speak to two young Afro-American ladies like they were not human. It is my opinion that such behavior does not conform to Publix policies of appropriate behavior. I have seen these two young ladies on several occasions because infrequent your store with my wife. His behavior to me was racist and I’m a white male. If he acts in such a manner, then what will stop the other employees from doing the same. The manager followed these young ladies, made a scene checked there coupons . He is allowed to check them, but there was a white lady in front of me and my wife he didn’t check her coupons. He was saying lil smart remarks to them and even told one she was banned from the store because she told him to go to hell after she told him he was rude to the other young lady. Please address this matter before you loose loyal shoppers.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Johnson says
I have been a loyal Publix customer for mmany years. The values are good, service exceptional, and the staff is awesome.
Earlier this year I bought some fund raiser “Enjoy the City” coupon books. According to the computer, Publix would honor the WinnDixie coupons, son it was a win-win situation, as each book had 4 coupons in it. I have been using the exclusively at Publix, keeping track of how much I am purchasing to be able to use a $5 coupon for each $30-$40 I buy, and have made each coupon use as a separate transaction per your regs.
I do not know whether to complain about the new coupon policy or thank you(One competitor coupon per day). As a result, I now buy $30 to $40 in groceries at Publix at one time, and either wait to be out on an errand later in the week, or just go across the street to Winn Dixie, which I hate to do. We are retired, on a fixed income, and gas is pricey, so I combine as nmabny errands at one time. I actually spent a good bit less on groceries this week as a by-product of your new coupon policy. I bought the coupon books in good faith, and will use them as much as I can.
Even though I should probably thank you for saving me money, I thought it was important to give you my input on the new policy. I have also shared this with the management at my Publix store
Thank you for your consideration,
Elizabeth Johnson

Came 15 minutes Late.. Sub Was ready Yayyy! But Then I get Home.. And See They Didn’t Give me Boar’s Head Garlic Pickles AGAIN.. This is WHY I Am NOW Taking The Time out to Email.. Because This is Just Ridiculous.. 3 Out of 4 Orders made to Location 788 Were Made Incorrectly What is a Customer to THINK?? What Then Is The Benefit of Ordering Online?
I Find it Hard to Believe that Something So Black and White “A Written Slip With everything that is to go on the sandwich” No Special Orders no Special Request Just Selecting From the given Choices.. and Can’t Get What I Order..! I Didn’t Take my Sub Back today Because I’m Tired of Angie Having to Go Make Me another SUB.. The Issue needs to be addressed.. Some people Won’t take the Time To Tell You Why They’ve Stopped Visiting Your Location.. Why Your Sales may Be starting To Fall off..
I’d Appreciate Some Follow Up Because This is My Local Store and I Do Not Feel Like I Should Have To Drive To A Further Location When My Location Use to Be SO GREAT. I Like My Deli Manager Michelle She’s Always Run a Tight Ship and I know That MY PUBLIX Can Once Again Be The BEST Publix in The Neighborhood But This WEEK Was A Horrible Publix Week All the Way to Down to Running out of the The Bryer’s Indulgence Gelatos.. Not a One left on the Shelf..
If There is Any other information I Can Provide You With Feel free to Email me or call me At the Contacts Given.
Thanks For Your Speedy Attention to this Matter..

I just finished shopping at the Lexington, SC location–the bagging load has gotten out
of hand–I had a 48 oz bottle of Wesson Oil, 2 30 oz. bottles of Ajax dish soap, and 2 32 oz. bottles of All Laundry Detergent in one bag. Then I had 4 lbs. of sugar,
3 16 oz. bottles of salad dressing, and 1 6 oz. bottle of olives in another bag. This is not
the first time the bags have been overloaded and I am now completely fed up with this
situation. All the Bag People need to be trained correctly!!!! I love Publix but if I do not
see any changes I will go elsewhere to spend my hard earned money !

i have lived in South Florida for 32 years. I have lived in my current neighborhood in Sunrise, Florida, for 28 years. For decades we were loyal shoppers at Publix. We always felt welcomed and were assisted, all employees were pleasant and helpful. In the last two years the employees seem to be much less helpful, including management. We never went to Winn Dixie before but they have surpassed Publix with customer service and providing a positive pleasant atmosphere in which to shop. It is a shame but there are too many situations to share for explanation. Publix used to be home to us. NO MORE! I go rarely for a few specials. But both Winn Dixie and Wallmart have more product selection, better customer service and much better prices. It’s like loosing an old friend.

Good night I’m hoping someone reads this. This is my 3rd problem I’ve had at Publix , on a Sunday around the middle of August went for ground beef for spaghetti there was not a single pack available, looked for someone in the meat department no one, so I end up buying ground turkey, 2- why is the price of watermelon and peaches so expensive considering they come from right here in Georgia, who pays $7 plus dollars for a watermelon. 3. I just left Publix with the worst cashier this Monday October 6 at 9:10 pm, this young man was just down right rude he had such an attitude I said to him I see you’re having a bad day but it’s almost over, he had a smart remark for that, so I’m finish baggin my grocery and he drops my receipt on the counter I give him a smile pick up my receipt and he goes sorry mam which was BS. His name is Darren store # 1056 Atlanta Georgia. I live in Miami Florida so I know how Publix operates, sometime should do a surprise visit to this store, you won’t be happy. I’m return a peach after looking at my receipt 1 one PEACH $3.35 how sad is that!!!

Good Afternoon,
My family and I will be visiting Orlando, Florida next Thursday from the UK. I have already purchased 2 helium balloons for our children as a surprise for when we arrive at the villa we are staying in.
Is it possible I could take them into the Publix store near us (on the 27) and have them filled with helium?

I love Publix!!!! But….why is it I have a store 1 mile from me and I have to drive 10 miles to Jay Roughton’s store on Peachland to find the service I am use to after 45 years. Here is why: I arrive at Publix on Toledo Blade at 7:30 pm to prepare for a big event tomorrow…. I wait 12 minutes in the deli because they have only 1 employee… The young man was doing the best he could but there were 6 people in line…. Then I get to the produce department and it is ransacked…. No Romaine lettuce, no pickling cuXXXXbers, no sweet onions… So I ask the clerk in that area and his reply was that it was a really busy day…when I ask for the department manager he said he was on vacation….. So when I check out I asked for the manager…. Told him I wasn’t one to complain but that I was going to have to return to Publix tomorrow because they were out of most produce… His name was Dustin and his reply was “food is ordered by people and machines”. Never said he was sorry…. Just left it with his one comment….. That brought me a lot of consolation…. : ( why be open if you don’t have staff or product???? This store is an embarrassment to your organization. I am a Publix stockholder and this isn’t the way you have trained us in the past. I look forward to hearing from you.

THIS IS REGARDING THE STORE AT11851 PALM BEACH BLVD,FORT MYERS FL.
This is the second time in the last two visits that this has happened. Today, a woman was told by the cashier that she did not have one product that she had presented a coupon for. The cashier left her machine, and went looking for the item. She simply left all of us in line. I had already put my items on the conveyer belt and so I waited….and waited. Finally, I just walked out of the store. As I said, this is the second time in the last two visits. Is this Corporate policy? Store Policy? Or just the thoughtless actions of the cashiers? What about the other people in line? How is helping one person and making many wait good customer service? I truly believe this has to stop. If it does not, I will not shop at Publix anymore. Period!

I visited the store located at 14641 Biscayne Blvd N Miami Beach, Florida 33181to pick up a few sale items. I was met with the absolute WORST customer service EVER.
I frequent this store as it is the store nearest to my home, I am familiar with the practices. I attempted to purchase some Viva Paper towels, Wisk Laundry Detergent and Right Guard. This store only allows patrons to purchase 5 sale items in a transaction/per visit.
I went into the store earlier today and purchased some Always, Right Guard and Wisk. I returned this evening and was completely embarrassed by the treatment that I received. The cashier called over a manager who proceeded to tell me that I am not allowed to shop using coupons because I had already been in the store today. That I am free to purchase the items of my choosing if I opt to purchase them minus the coupons.
I am a single mother of three; I shop in Publix stores exclusively on a weekly basis. To be embarrassed by a store manager and told that “I am sure that you will not be able to get this stuff minus those coupons, if you can feel free to do so, if you can’t I am sorry, but I can’t allow you to use any coupons in store today”
The store manager Laveda clearly had no idea what items I purchased earlier in the day. I have reviewed the Publix coupon policy and it does not state anywhere that a patron can not use coupons in store twice. Her behavior was an embarrassment to me and your organization as a whole. It is unfortunate that Laveda opted to abuse her power in the way that she did. It has put a sour taste in my mouth because the entire incident was totally uncalled for.

I have been a loyal Publix customer since I was a little girl, 17 plus years. It has always been my families grocery store due to the excellent customer service . It truly makes us feel so comfortable and we trust the Publix brand. Until this past Friday July 11,2014 . I am never one to complain but I just cannot turn a blind eye to this terrible incident. I went in to do my weekly grocery shopping at my regular Publix store at, 4402 Curry Ford Road Orlando, FL 32812 location, and noticed there was a sale on a particular item that I purchase quite a bit for my family (CapriSuns). The sale was for $1.79 and there was an instore coupon for $1.00 off each. When I went to grab this item it said it was limited to 2 boxes per customer. Which I did pick up 2 boxes and so did my partner. When I went to the register to pay for my groceries , the store manager Manuel Aybar approached me and told me that as of that moment we coud only purchase one per day which is not what the sign said. I proceeded in telling him the sign clearly said 2 boxes per customer and offered to show him. He said he didn’t care what the sign said (not a very pleasent way to be speaking to your customers); that he was only allowing me to purchase one unless I walked out and back into the store. Then I could go get more or make the purchase in separate transactions and then he walked away. I proceeded in following his instructions to make my purchases on separate transactions and then he came out of his office infuriated because I was still standing there making my purchases. Then he proceeded in telling me that it was only if I walked out of the store and walked back in humiliating me infront of my family and the rest of the publix customers that evening. I went ahead and walked out and back into the store like he told me and then he yelled at me and said, “Make sure you never come back to this store I will be notifying all my employes and managers”. When I asked why he said, ” because I can”. As you can see from this situation that is NO WAY to speak to anyone much less a loyal customer. My only crime was to go buy my groceries that night while he was working . I understand that everyone is entitled to a bad day but that is no way to tread your customers. All I wanted to do is purchase my weekly groceries , however I was treated like an animal. Your brand is so well known for their EXCELLENT customer service do not let one rotten apple spoil the rest. This is not how you want your brand to be represented. This is uncalled for and not acceptable behavior specially from a so called manager that is supposed to be seating a good example to their employes. I am embarrassed and very disturbed by this situation. I expect this inhuman behavior to be rectified.

I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated as a customer at the 2724 Hillsborough Avenue location. I had a seizure due to my medical condition a while back in your location. Since that occurred, the majority of the staff showed an extreme amount of disrespect to me. I never know how the trip to the store will be. It’s always 50/50. Half of the time, you get decent service and half the time it’s horrible. The cashiers seem to be mean to some of the baggers and older-aged employees. The employees like Jason ( who I believe may be Autistic) is always nice and helpful, yet he’s mocked by cashiers and other employees in front of customers. Other employees, who are older aren’t treated nice either by fellow employees. It’s sad to watch and hear. I’m done watching the mistreatment of the employees who work the hardest including Cholie who helps me to get the items I’m looking for. My last and final experience was with a cashier Yuliedy on 7/5/14. The cashier was busy in conversation with her customer whose items were already rung up and paid for. I had to wait and wait and wait. When I finally spoke up, I heard some laughter and nasty comments about me. Both women ( the cashier and customer ) didn’t realize that I speak Spanish as well. When my items were finally rung up, the cashier forgot to ring up my water that I had to point out to her. Because she forgot, she had to ring up a separate ticket just for the waters. There have just been too many bad experiences at this location. I’ll never go back. I may visit the Publix on Nebraska Ave. in Tampa, but once Winn Dixie’s open, that’s where I’ll shop. Possibly, Walmart locations.

In store 1386 there is this grocery manager named Nestor Aguillera and he is the grocery manager. I am tired of the way he acts to the employees and treats customers. During work instead of helping in the grocery department he is playing around with the lady coworkers and drinking cafe while he is supposed to be working. He does nothing but yell and get mad at his coworkers while he is no one to talk since he is never around to help. When someone comes with coupons he does not accept them wheater real or not. He talks to customers with attitude and with out a care to them.

My wife uses pain killer drugs which I get from publix. When I pick up the medications they as me for my home address so anyone in the area knows where my home is and where the drugs are kept. Many people are getting robbed for these drugs. I would rather they ask for ID then verbally giving my home address for everyone to hear. Someone with my home address could break in just for the drugs.

We always verify home address and DOB to ensure the bad we are holding is in fact for you. If you are not willing to give your information (you can whisper it…) then you cannot pick up your medication.

I was prescribed Tramadol/Ultram for pain (back and knee) also Methocarbamol/robaxin Mild muscle relaxer for spasms. I noticed when I got them and put on my tall dresser in my bedroom that through the orange bottle they sure looked A LOT alike. But didn’t pull them out and compare. I did open the ultram because I never seen one look like that. I later looked it up on line the numbers on the pill and couldn’t find it for ultram. ( I know there are many distributors and can always look different) I had not seen ultram in a few years so excused it and assumed they are from another distributor. Since we were doing the yard sale last week I had the ultram in the shop where I had been working for the last week. (also on Riley’s furniture) as you guys seen when you came by the other night. Well I had left them there, he only wanted me to take those during times I was having more pain. With all the lifting and bending out there I needed them then. I call last week to my doc. that the Ultram wasn’t helping my pain very much could he give something else. They wrote a different script. for Norco friday. Picked it up and filled in Huntsville. I had gotten a robaxin out a few times for the muscle burn. Yesterday I was in the shop starting back on the furniture and seen where I had left the Ultram (on that table where the Jewelry was) and then really noticed that looks like the same pill as the Ultram. So I took it inside and grabbed the other bottle and compared (and yes they are Identical) I call Publix. I then google the pill number and robaxin and found it there. They asked if I could bring them in that they should not look a like. So I did, I wanted them to confirm that both of these are robaxin and know of the mistake made. No wonder the Ultram didn’t help the structural pain all I had was Robaxin in both bottles. As soon as I walked up and said I had called the Pharma. said I checked the count for Ultram and it’s perfect. Took the bottles from my hand and didn’t confirm what I had in them but said yes I don’t know how YOU would have got these mixed up like this. EXCUSED ME!! I said, no ma’am I didn’t mix anything up you are not going to do that. She went on to tell me how there logs are etc. that I don’t know what to tell you. I said back I don’t know what to tell you but I haven’t mixed anything up and I haven’t had a prescription for Robaxin before or any prescription for pain meds or muscle relaxers in a very long time a few years or more. So how is it that I have almost double here of Robaxin that I should have? She was all about and is still via the call I just received saying they left the store right and are no longer. She also just claimed that she consulted with me on that med and I assured her she did NOT. She called my doc. to inform them and her magn. she claims. I just let her know I know that their checks and balances are not flawless, although she strongly want’s me to believe they are not. I got the pills out a few minutes ago to take pictures because I forced her to bottle them back they way I brought them in and they both have far less in them. I would have had 120 robaxin with both combined and now have just over 50. YEA something ISN’T RIGHT. She insulted me from the start and on this call said I truly believe you feel they left here wrong but they did not! I stated so what you are saying is the 60 Ultram was pored out somewhere and I halved the two bottles. I’m so irritated at this right now.

Your store at 3400 N. Federal Hwy., Ft.Laud. needs a lot of help! Literally! This was my third visit that required me to pack my own groceries. Glen, a manager saw me (and other patrons) packing groceries and did nothing. He might have been on his way for a cigarette break…. You can tell by the smell of his shirt. Where was Frank the manager? Probably bullying long time employees not to talk to customers! What happened to this store? Your competitors treat customers better than this management team!

Recently, Publix cashiers in Plantation Florida (University Drive and Peters Road, Broward Blvd. and 70th Avenue) have not provided good customer service. My thoughts are that they are inexperienced and left to their own devices. Listening is a key skill which every Publix staff member should utilize especially in the business of satisfying customers so that they would want to return to the place of business. The first cashier could not understand a simple request to not add an additional item to the first transaction since I needed to have it as a separate transaction. The second cashier was asked to wait for one minute before beginning to cash but thought it was a joke. I wonder if the President of this company shops at any of the Publix stores since customer service is poor and they are walking out the door unsatisfied.

I recently changed insurance companies and decided to transfer my prescriptions from Walgreens to Publix. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake I did. The high dosage of a medication I take required an authorization from my doctor. Publix faxed my doctor a form with the phone number for my insurance company. Four times. The problem was that the number they faxed him for my insurance company was incorrect. At no point did they ever decide to contact me or escalate. Meantime, I ran out of a vital medication. When I went into the drugstore they offered me four or five pills to “tide me over” . When I contacted my Ins co. the gave me the correct number which I provided to my doctor. The insurance company also advised me that Publix could have given my a 90 day supply without approval. I’ve spoken to John, the supervisor but my problem remains unresolved. When I try to discuss it with the staff at Publix they get this glazed look in their eyes and shrug their shoulders. Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake I made. Publix cares little about your health.

My wife and I have been customers of the Publix on Havendale Bvld, Auburndale FL for eighteen years and have always found the staff there to be Pleasant. and Helpful. and we are very happy.
From time you do stop selling some of the products that we like and have to go to Wynn Dixie.
We appreciate that you have decisions to make on products and you have the knowledge of the sales of products and you will change some from time to time.
You make the best bread in the business. We buy the five grain Italian which is excellent. However we have to put up continuously with misshapen loaves probably because they are sliced whilst too warm or the cutters are not sharp enough. Which is a shame, Especially as you are you are currently advertising how good your bread is. Please get this sorted.
Otherwise we are very happy with the Publix experience.

All of the people on here are crybabies! I come from central America, where we live in huts and dirt floors. I would love to have it this good for my family that still leave in Panama`. I do what I can to help my family. I came on here to find out about selling things and began to read the complaints of you all! It makes me sick! Be grateful you have a freaking store to buy food, you selfish, greedy, stuck up, money hungry, rich b*****, crybaby, always looking for a hand out psychic vampires!! No wonder you have homeless people. You guys suck the energy and life out of each other, because it is never enough. It is always ” I want, I want, I want, ” attitude. In the end of all this, give me more attitude, people lose their jobs and homes. If you would stop the nonsense lawsuits America’s economy would improve. If you feel you are being harassed, stop dressing yourself and teens like w****s. Men catcall all the time. If you are not dressing like a sl** and you still are getting catcalled, then stand up for yourself and kindly tell the man, you do not like it and then complain to manager if they work for Publix. If you feel a store is racist, start your own store and hire who want. Stop the complaining, unless it is serious and harms you or others. Start humbling yourselves people!! Wake-up and know the world does not revolve around you. BTW, I have produced a product that I hope to see in stores one day. I decided I wanted better for myself and did something about it!! This country offers the resources to make a change! Stop whining and do something to improve the things you don’t like!

Last Wednesday, waiting for a manager to assist me in finding a Hot Roll mix, at the service desk a white customer was trying let the mother (black) know that she observed her teenage daughter pulling things of the shelfs onto the floor. When she observed the girl opening a product and pouring it on the flour, she approached and asked her if she had paid for that product. The black teenager laughed at her and started to leave when the women said we need to find your mother and go to the service desk. What I saw was th black women telling the white women that she had no business treating her daughter in that manner. The whole time the teenager is just laughing at women. I really felt bad for her. Because she thought that she was doing the right thing to tell customer service. When Management came, a black man, the wihite was tired for having the black women in her face. When I foung the customer, I told her that she was ritght to report the teenage delequent. To my surprise, when I went back to the customer service, the black manager was boxing up their groceries and laughing and carrying on like they were best friends. He walked out with the delequent and her mother with their groceries acting like nothing had happened. I cannot return to a store that caters to people that can not abide by any civil law. I think sometimes that peple are afraid to say anything. I was raised differently. If it were my teenage daughter, she would be on her way to child lock up. The mom is this case knew her daughter would get away with it. Good luck with all the delequent teenagers that will ruin your stote. This store is on Perry Parkway in Perry, Georgia.

I have been a customer of Publix for many years. I have been going through a divorce for over 7 years. I have not said anything until now about the treatment of the woman I am with now by employees of Publix at Sandalfoot and hwy 441 in West Boca Raton. But it has come to the point where I have to. I have met with managers of the sandalfoot Publix about this issue many times but to no avail. My hope to be ex wife has been an employee of Publix for several years. I have had several friends and neighbors complain to me that this cashier, Linda B. always speaks of her divorce and how her husband is a child molester , wife beater, an alcoholic, drug addict and I left her and took all the money when , in fact I have taken GREAT care of my children and her to the toon of $3000 a month for two children. I have not drank alcohol for many years, don’t do drugs and certainly don’t mess with children. We have been through two social studies and in both I was to be awarded total custody of my children. I have had D.C.F. , Sheriff’s dept. and several other entities such as the court system investigate her and I and the children and all found that the better place for the children is to be with their father. I have had TOTAL custody of my children for the last 2 and a half years do to the results of all professionals involved. Now it has come to this cashier attacking our friends and the woman that I love and am with and involving Publix managers that have no idea that the truth is so diff. than what is being said by their employee but no one in the Sandalfoot Publix wants to listen. Just Friday the woman I am with went to the Sandalfoot Publix and took a neighbor due to her car not operating properly and was confronted by Linda the cashier out in the parking lot. The sheriff was called and these two ladies, that are my neighbor and the woman I am with and love that did nothing. A manager named Ginithe M. approached the ladies stated that you need to leave and then proceeded to tell the woman I am with that she called their employee a XXXXXX, when the manager did not hear a thing and would not have heard it because it didn’t happen. I have been slandered for the past 71/2 years by this cashier using Publix as her perfect avenue to spread her propaganda and Publix letting it happen the whole time . This is not about me, I have heard it all and have learned to live with people asking me to explain the behavior of her, it is about all the nice people that has had to put up with this issue while attempting to just shop at their local Publix supermarket. It is so unprofessional to condone this behavior in a business setting and If I had a supermarket I think that I would want to take care of the concern.
Thank you.

I am extremely upset that you changed your corn muffins to the larger ones. They are awful and don’t taste the same, plus they are too big. I bought a pkg. of frozen corn muffins every Sunday so I would have one each morning at work, now I can’t buy them. One of your workers said you changed because Kroger had big muffins which is ridiculous, Kroger’s pastries, breads and muffins are horrible, why would you change when you sell out of them all the time. Why break it if it’s not broken. Publix is the best grocery store PLEASE go back to your regular muffins and don’t copy another grocery store that is below your standards.

THE STORE MANAGER @ 8725 ROSWELL RD HIS NAME IS MATT HE IS AWFUL AND SO IS THE PRODUCE THERE.
This guy seems to have huge issues with in his self! Ive been comming to this store for 4 years now and i also use the pharmecy quite regular as this is my main reason for even being in a publix at ALL. A little bit about me, im 6’4 black male im 56 and retired . Now with all that being said this young man doesnt even know that i may just be someone of importance to our community. why does he feel the need to follow me all over the store as i wait for my perscription to be filled? Why does he feel the need to stand behind me as i make purchases? Why does he feel the need to speak to me in a nasty tone? I mean this is every visit i make there and he’s there, this is what happens even with my wife this has happen. This guy doesnt know what type of day anyone has had or what type of mood someone is in. This type of racial profiling is a constant and regular bases in this particular store. One day he will do this to the wrong person and thier not going to take to kindley to it. IF IT DOESNT STOP IM GOING TO ASK THE MEDIA TO DO A UNDERCOVER STORY ON THIS STORE AND MATT. The next time i go in i will have a cam and recorder in place.

Hello,
I am disliking the new ribbed caps on Publix-brand 2 liter sodas and water bottles. The caps are too snug or stiff to twist off — but, mainly, the caps’ new ribbed design are too rough. I am home employed, so I open bottles easily a dozen times per day. The caps make my fingers sore and even created calluses. I actually keep a latex glove handy to help grip the too-firm and rough cap without hurting my fingers. Needing a “tool” to open a bottle is just ridiculous and shouldn’t be necessary.
I do prefer Publix soda over Diet Coke or Pepsi, especially because they contain Equal and not aspartame. My daughter was helping me carrying 10-12 bottles of soda into the house, and I heard her grumble, “You must have this stuff running through your veins!”

I appreciate the fact that Publix is quality conscious when hiring employees. I use one certain Publix located at Bayside Lakes in Palm Bay, FL. There are a few others that I pass in my travels, and for the most part their good reputation is most deserved. However
I shop at the Bayside Lakes Publix because it is extremely well managed, clean, comfortable to shop at and the employees have a “family” attitude toward you. An example is the drugstore. They go out of their way to show you they really value your business, and care about your physical health. Even though they are always busy, they still take the time to make sure you are completely taken care of. The service is second to none. The prices and availability are consistent and fair. When you need a drugstore, you won’t find a more professional, better managed or better staffed drugstore than the one at Publix at Bayside Lakes in Palm Bay, FL

In January of this year I took some items back to be returned to the
Treasure Coast Publix, the manager there, ‘Greg’ an obvious racist,
refused to take the items. After a long bout of explaining he finally took
the items, but added some racial comments in at the last minute.
When I called the corporate office to complain, he began spreading
insults about me to the store employee because of the corporate
complaint. It has gotten so bad that one of his subordinates, a Lori, has
followed me around in the community and has even made threats.
The Miracle Mile Publix is a very unusual store experience to say
the least.

This morning for the first time as a senior citizen, I decided to take advantage of the senior discount that Publix was offering, so all week long I carefully made up a list of grocery items that I needed and waited until Wednesday in order to take advantage of the 15% discount. When I went into Publix, I stopped by one of the cashiers upfront to confirm that Publix does indeed offer the senior discount and he said “yes every day”, so I proceeded to go up and down the aisles shopping carefully, picking out what I needed. I only had about 10 items or so and I decided to be checked out with the same cashier that gave me the information initially. So I asked him, “do I need to show you any identification”? “How does this senior discount exactly work”? He said it was built into the price, and laughed a little. LOL!! I continued to question him and he finally said he thought I was kidding when I asked him for the discount and that Publix does not have a senior discount for the state of Florida. However, he’s heard that in other states Publix does have that policy in place. To my surprise, I was shocked but kept a very cool and cordial rapport with the cashier. I finally joked with the cashier and said to him that probably the reason Publix doesn’t extend the policy in the state of Florida is because a good amount of people in the state are senior citizens and they could probably lose money as a result. LOL!!! I’ve worked for Publix in the past while I was starting my business for a few years and I can tell you first hand that almost on a daily basis, I watched grocery carts filled with foods brought back to the docking and trash area to be thrown out with the trash and not even donated to the poor and the hungry. My guess, is that it had a mild expiration date, which incidentally becomes expired from just sitting in ones refrigerator or maybe it’s to keep the prices high and constant or maybe because of the liability they don’t want to donate it? I don’t know. A waste of good food in my opinion, especially when there are so many homeless people going hungry and half of them are Veterans. Is Publix over producing foods? Should Publix change their policy especially in hard economic times?
It’s not often that I complain or go into a rant about things but I just needed to get this off of my chest and express myself. I may go as far as sending a cordial email, lodging my complaint and concerns with Publix corporate headquarters in Lakeland Florida but my guess is that the complaint won’t go anywhere and they probably won’t do anything about it.
As my wise old Cuban father would say, “Keep your mouth shut and you’re a** wide open”. Make sure to put a little Vaseline. LOL!!!
Thank you,
Lou

I think it is deplorable that you make your employee’s work at the stores on labor day while the corporate offices get the day off. I like how the people who actually “labor” have to work their typical 10 hour shift while those who sit in office chairs for only 8 hours are the ones who get the day off. This company was founded on ideals that the workers and customers are equally important. Be good to your employee’s Publix! Give them ALL the day off to be with their families!
Thank you for your time.

In your weekly circular, you constantly advertise, and I quote, ” Glazed, Chocolate Iced, or Assorted Glazed and Chocolate Iced Made Fresh Throughout the Day, From the Publix Bakery, 10 oz. pkg. 2.99″.
I don’t have a clue how much each donut weighs, but the ad says “Assorted”. So I chose my assortment, and they told me that what I chose did not qualify. That only the round donuts with holes in the middle were on sale for 2.99.
That is not how I read your ad. Assorted means exactly that—an assortment of glazed and chocolate donuts. Here where I live, if it’s glazed or chocolate covered in the bakery, it’s a donut. Granted, it is only a .70 cent difference, but over time, that adds up. I am on disability, so every penny counts. Not only that, I am tired of feeling that I’ve been cheated every time I want to buy donuts on sale.
You either need to change your ad, or change your policy. I just don’t read the ad the same way that you do. It’s not like the produce isle, where you pick it out and weigh it. I don’t know how much the dang donuts weigh, and there is no weight on the sticker on the donuts that I purchased to tell me how much they weigh. No sticker on the donuts on the shelf already boxed either. So you tell me how that policy is fair. I am just tired of it.

how were you dressed
Brandy says
To Nikki, what do you mean, how were you dressed? What difference does it make? No one had the right to degrade someone else, or follow them to their car. That could have easily and quickly turned into a very bad situation. This was a child and her mother. The police should have been called. This manager should be sent through some training, or demoted.

I agree! Too many degenerates think that when women have a little skin showing, (here in the hot south), that it’s an invitation for the the perverts to display lewd behaviour. Heck! Even the strip clubs don’t allow harassment!

Is it publix police for your mangers or as managers to threaten minors? I am So horrified right now. John Harvey meat manger of publix in Belleview Florida 34420. Told his ex wife that my 15 year old daughter was in the sore and that he followed her around and she was stealing from the store. If this was true why would you not bust her I would like the tapes pulled from that day Thur June 20th 2013 arount 5:45 to 6:15 to prov that she did not do this. He as a publix Representative has no right to tell people outside that store that my daughter stole something when she never did and if she did he still would have no right to say things about a minor child to someone and then on top of that he threatened her by telling another minor child to tell her every time she comes into the store he will be watching and following her around. The people he said this to is his ex wife and step daughter who is my daughters best friend and now her mother will not let her daughter hang out with my daughter when she did nothing wrong I should sue him for slander the tapes need to be pulled to prove him wrong if he was right the cops would have been called this is an outrage and totally wrong to do to a child.

Just letting you know, that Publix in Lake City florida are sexist, racist, and do not care about their employees to save the world. My husband had gotten hurt there, at Publix, and a pallet fell on his ankle. He went to “Publix” doctor, and they told him that his ankle was fractured. [that he has to be on crutches] So, the doctor told him that he would be able to report back to work in a week. It still hurts him, but he is willing to work, to support our family. They then hire another person in his spot, and then dont give him any hours for the following week that he is supposed to report back to work. We have checked into workmans comp, and they said by law, they have to pay him for the time that he has missed after 7 days. Well, today makes the 8th day, and they schedule him for 3 HOURS, ON CRUTCHES. He works in produce, and that is going to be hard. They did say that he would be demo-ing, but publix never demos fruit. you would figure they would find something else to do for him. But, Im calling coperate!
Prissy says
maybe they don’t care about their employees but what made them sexist & racist??
Kiersten says
I am an employee and customer at Publix. I am writing with the suggestion that the credit card machines at check out also ask the question “Would you like your receipt?” at the end of an order. I know that as a customer I never want my receipt and as an employee I throw away many unwanted receipts every day. Asking this question would save a lot of paper and money for you guys. And it would be a good way to “go green”!

Last week I was really disappointed. I purchased a chicken it was on sale for $5.99( a good deal) I did not look @ this chicken until Sunday(no I do not eat chicken on Sunday only) I am not 100% mobile therefore someone has to do most of my shopping. I was shocked and disappointed. The chicken was burned badly–being a borderline diabetic and hungry—I ate a leg of the chicken. @ 1st I was not going to report the burned chicken. After giving considerable thought and being on a fixed income. I called the store spoke to TRACY, she apologize she told me to bring chicken back and they would give me a new chicken plus a refund. I told TRACY I would not send a letter to Corp Office—after her kindness, how could I not let you know how kind her words made me feel. Tracy told me she would speak to the people in the Deli. The story does not end with TRACY- Because I do not drive anymore—My son took chicken back Sunday–He returned(4/21/13) with a new chicken and my cash his words to me were–Mom the lady ANGELINA ( sp check her name) was so kind when she gave him the refund. He asked me call and give her a Thanks. I called she was delightful and a pleasure. Although I was angry in the beginning your staff made me feel 100% better. Thanks to you and your wonderful staff.

why your co. don’t do right by all your employee, customer get a pack on the back, worker get kick in the ass. if a manager of the store don’t like you don’t any hours. i don’t there and don’t i ever will, but if you have employee want to work treat them better instead of giving a big bonus trying to keep worker down. thanks
