I used to love going to Roscoe chicken and waffle but today was the last day my family and I will ever step foot in that establishment. My family and I had been going to the Roscoes at 830 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104 for over 15 years. We stopped by to have dinner as we often do and my father decided to meet us there. We sat down at our table and 10 min laters my dad walks in and forgot his mask the moment he stepped in the manager there yelled at him to get out in the rudest way. My father told the manger he forgot his mask and if he had a spare the manager proceeded to yell at him and curse saying that they don’t have mask around to just give them out. My mother told him he was her husband and she had an extra mask the manager just continued to yell and then told us to get out making my two year old niece cry. We got our things and left but he followed us outside and kept cursing at us when we clearly had done nothing wrong. We have never been humiliated by an establishment in such a form and for no reason. We will never return to any roscoes in the near future nor will we ever recommend this place ands it’s sad because it’s supposed to be a family establishment yet we felt unsafe, discriminated against and worst of all bullied by a manager that judged my father the second he walked through the door.
I’m a long time decades old fan of Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. I live in Ventura County, CA. About a year and a half ago, I was excited to find my neighborhood Ralph’s Market stocking your four-piece frozen chicken. For about a year, I was going through four boxes a month, however suddenly a few months ago, Ralph’s stopped carrying your brand. I have not been able to locate your frozen products anywhere else. Where can I find it? Can you please help me. Thank you very much.
I visited your Roscoe’s establishment at your Pasadena location on Friday, August 20, 2021. We left from the Dodger stadium and arrived shortly before 11:20pm. I had never been to a Roscoes and was very excited to visit and try the famous chicken and waffles.
We were told by the host Michael, we could only get our orders to go, they were no longer seating customers for dine in service.
I looked on the menu and asked if there were chicken strips and waffles somewhere that I was just not seeing and he told me to, “take my a** next door to KFC if I wanted chicken strips. Roscoes only served real chicken here”.
I get it, “bone in meat” is the way to go- however I have personal reasons for my phobia and I physically can not eat or even watch meat being eaten off the bone.
I saw there was a chicken sandwhich on the menu and I asked if I could get the chicken patty served on waffles instead of the buns, or if I could order the chicken sandwhich and a side order of waffles to make it myself.
Michael let me know, “Roscoes doesn’t do custom orders and to take myself somewhere else with all that.”
I left in tears because of how he treated me (after the extremely long day and knowing had I been with my very large and protective male partner- I never would have been spoken to like that) and went across the street to the taco spot instead; where they took great care of me and apologized for how I was treated by YOUR establishment.
I was not sure if Roscoes is like the chain Dicks Resort in Vegas where insults fly and customer service is paired with insults and rudeness. After speaking with several friends who have been to Roscoes before, I can verify that you do not do custom orders; but I should have been permitted to buy my chicken sandwhich and an order of waffles to make my own. I was told customers should never be treated that way at a Roscoes, and it was more than likely because I was a woman without a man there and Michael felt he could talk however he wanted to me.
I spent most of the afternoon trying to call the Pasadena store to talk with a manger, but was always sent to voicemail.
Reading through all the other complaints, Im not sure if this is the standard care of customers at Roscoes, but when a lady is leaving in tears because she is being told to take her ass somewhere else, maybe promoting your poor customer service would be a good way to warn people what to expect.
This was our first time as Roscoes and probably our last. We went to the Anaheim location on Saturday May 22,2021. When we arrived there was a lot of people waiting to be seated. We walked up and asked if we could order to go and the manager said yes but it would take about 30 minutes to get our food we said that would be ok. As we went with a group and we would sit outside and wait. We ordered our food which was 3 meals at 7:04pm and we sat outside waiting. The lady who ordered in front of us got her food really fast she had ordered 3 meals as well. 30 minutes passed and we still didn’t get our food. I walked in numerous times asking for our food and the only response I kept getting was its almost done. I finally went in again and asked to speak to the manager and was told they are really busy right now and that our food was 4th in line. The young lady at the front kept telling me that they are always super busy on Saturday nights. Never once did a manager come out to talk to me or apologize. We had also asked if they could turn on the heaters outside while we wait because it was very cold and the only response to that was we will send someone out if we can find someone that knows how to turn them on. Our food took over an hour to get by that time we were so cold we didnt even want to eat anymore. They really do need to work on their customer service skills. I would really like an email back about this poor service.
Went to Inglewood location on Manchester last week. The seating lady said she would have a spot for me in about 5 minutes. Not true, she gave the spot to somebody else. I’m 81 and us a cane. Was never offered a seat to wait or apoligized to. I’ve been going to Roscoe’s since the 70’s on Pico in LA. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Couldn’t stand any longer, so I left. Thought you needed to know. Dear sir or madam, we visited Breakfast hour labor day weekend .We visited the INGLEWOOD – LAX location. At this time I cant find my receipt . I paid for our 3 orders in cash. We visit all the time at different locations we also enjoy our food every time. I believe are food wasn’t served to us the way it normally is served due you guys being busy. I myself work in food service so I do understand how demanding it could be. We waited for about 15mins before we was pointed to where to sit. The table was sticky and silverware and cups too .When asked the table was wiped off and cups replaced.We enjoy your food usually for the most part we are not requiring a refund. Like I stated before we are coming back in town in a coupe of weeks if you wanted to send a voucher or right our names down that would be fine. Our experience was rushed, food was not edible cold as well (prestation)is everything.I felt our food was rushed. The restaurant it self have a great vibe and though we waited a while before being seated ,the staff handled their self in a professional manner. I would just like to share my experience at the Manchester location for Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles I was not there to eat I had an emergency phone call so I pulled over in their parking lot I pulled over as much as I could to not block anyone else I never turned my car off I started to hear someone yelling I looked back to see the security rudely telling me to move my car I open my car door and asked the security not to talk to me like that as I looked in my mirror the security was approaching so I jumped out the car in defense mode and ask him please do not come any closer you are smoking marijuana clearly you are impaired after that he began to talk about my appearance my car my job and call me obscenities I would like to be completely honest I went belligerent and called him so many names as well told him he’s very unprofessional at his workplace I take pictures and videos of him with his marijuana some other guy approaches me and ask me to move as well by then I’m irate I’ve hung up the phone call that was very important and I told them please getting police out here I was threatened to the point where I had to go get my husband to come back with me to walk inside to file a complaint with the manager Benny who by the way was very pleasant and professional. Not sure why Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffle with higher that type of security unprofessional Street Thug but I am going through a very rough time in my life and I don’t need to be judged by him or anyone else he also told me that his wife or meet me there at 5 p.m. to beat my ass I told him I do not scare easy so do what you have to do I’ve always eaten at the Gower location and this ever happened me and my family live 2 minutes away from this location and we’ve never done there due to the negative reviews and there’s always gang members hanging out when we pass by when the location was shut down for a while the parking lot was very different. I will be following the chain of command with this issue I’m sorry that the security judge me on my appearance on my off day but I hope no one ever gets treated like this again due to this my blood pressure was extremely high also this incident interrupting my mental health I’m reaching out when will ever be treated like this again I’m sure the security will still be working there as he taunted me saying she needs a serious attitude Readjustment and he needs to smoke his recreational drugs at home because marijuana impairs judgement
I was a manager there and the security guard escorted his friends who where gang members to the managers office and stood bye while they assaulted me.
I never worked another day at that place.

I ordered a #9 with fries well done and the fries were almost raw. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese which costed 6.49 and they only filled it up half way and it was cold. It was a pick up order. From the roscoes in Pasadena ca. I’ve been trying to call and complain about my order for days now and their phone just rings and rings no one answers. That is horrible customer service. Please write me back in regards to this matter. Thank you
I reside in Atlanta Georgia and Gladys knight chicken and waffles was closed down. I think it would be a great business opportunity for Roscoe chicken and waffles to open up a location in Georgia, there is a lot of money to be made.
