Went to the North Fort Worth, Tx location on Hwy 114. There was a girl with long hair(almost to her bottom) not in a ponytail tail, hat or hair net serving up food. I asked the guy at the counter helping me if she was really serving food with her hair down. He said no. I told him I just watched her dish up my pasta salad. He said he would redo it. As I sat there eating another employee arrived and she also did not wear her hair up or covered. I work in the food industry and know this is not proper standards with food handling. Also, the girl who brought us our food had long stands of hair hanging around her face. When we told her one of our sandwiches were not made correctly she gave us attitude. I was less than impressed with our experience. I also called the customer service line and left a message and never heard back. My overall experience was horrible. There has been no effort to assure me this is not usual practice for Newk’s.

Tonight I went to Newks for dinner. I called the order in. When I walked in the manager was talking to some people at the pickup corner. I stood there for about five minutes and he finally he told me to go the other coner and I told him that I had a call in order and he finally asked me for my name. And I told him. The staff in Hattiesburg use to be outstanding and extremely helpful. This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in the hub city. Please tell the staff how important customers service is. Thank you.

You just lost a regular customer of the Lone Tree, CO location. My husband & I are retired and recently stopped at Newk’s mid-afternoon to just grab a small amount of food to eat. I wanted to order the kid-sized pizza because I didn’t want one of the bigger meals at that time. The guy at the order counter wouldn’t sell it to me because I was “over 12”. I said well how about a “senior-size” pizza but he said they don’t have that. My husband is diabetic & sometimes needs a small portion of food to get him through until dinner time but he was unhappy with the guy’s response as well. Had I asked for it “to go” for my grandson I bet he would have taken my order. So rather than make a sale & please a customer this is what your business does. Of course, we immediately left. It’s not like you’re doing a whopping business because the place was nearly empty. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back there & will gladly take my money elsewhere. In addition, if anyone ever asks me about your restaurant, I’ll definitely tell them to not to go there.

Here is a question. This is regarding you restaurant in Clearwater, Florida. Can you explain to me why your corporation is unable to pay your employees in a timely manor? You do realize that you get what give. If you treat your employees with disregard, there will be disregard with the work you expect from them. I think you need to have a talk with Ramma (RK), the owner. The employees are never paid on time, there are issues with the taxes being filed, some employees are working from open to close with out proper breaks or Pay. No wonder why this franchise is failing. Over worked and UNDERPAID (as in not being paid at all) employees, Your owner is running away from the IRS when they visit the store, Employees are not given the right pay for working OVER and BEYOND 40 hours. Take care of the people who are representing YOU!!!!!!!

I recently traveled through Tennessee and stopped at your Nashville restaurant. The service and food were acceptable. But, when returning to my vehicle I was to find a parking ticket on my vehicle for $44. I parked in a parking lot at your location, there was a hidden parking pass kiosk and no signs on parking spots. I don’t know but I assume you are aware of this rip-off parking arrangement .

I have little faith this will be read. But, going to submit it anyway.
We have eaten at Newk’s Eatery in Lawrenceville, Ga. We plan
on moving closer to your new location in Buford so we thought
we would try it out. Our Experience
1] Look at menu for the Buford Location with Sunday Menu in mind.
2] At registered as for 1/2 Chicken Salad Sandwich. The cashier did not know how to handle that order, but rang up as full sandwich. Did not know how to change it to 1/2 so we waiting while they went for help. Came back – We do not have 1/2 Sandwiches [We saw it on the register as they tried to change it.
3] We asked for Mac & Cheese. Sorry we do not have any
3] One of the soap of the day was “Cheese and Broccoli”. The person on the register said they only had one kind of soup [gave name of it but I do not remember] and it was not Cheese and Broccoli.
Three strikes – we walked out.
Sorry – I think they opened with out training register people. I think they opened with out stocking the items on the Sunday menu.
Not a good start. I see no reason try it again.
Hope you can impress someone with the answers we received.
Good Luck

Long time customers of Newks in Birmingham and Oxford. At 11:00 am this morning I went into Newks on 280 in Birmingham to purchase chicken salad. It had been packaged two days earlier, and I asked for fresh. Only reply was it’s good for two more days. No, I’m sorry, no explanation. I did not purchase – they couldn’t have cared less. Unacceptable!

I bought two $25 gift certificates from the Newk’s in my hometown of Rock Hill, SC back in December. I enjoy eating there and went to have dinner this past Friday night. Much to my surprise, the restaurant had closed. Looking at your location map, there is no other Newk’s close to where I live. Is there some way to get refunded for the cards I bought?

My family and I have eaten at Newk’s countless times over the past few years, but our last 5 visits have been awful. Not sure what has happened but obviously it’s under different management. The customer service is very poor. The bathrooms need
Cleaning. And the food is nothing like it once was.
Sad to say “ we will not be back”!

l live in Hernando.Ms, and ordered take-out from the Newks in Southaven. This evening I
ordered a Roast Beef sandwich. Once back home, I opened the take out container,
then took a bite out of the sandwich, and thought it tasted different. Upon opening
the sandwich, I saw 2 very small pieces of beef and was surpised, then a bit angry
that I paid a lot for a tiny portion of beef, and lots of the filler items. I called up Newks,
ask to speak to the manager. After explaining the problem, he (Tyler) said to me-
well what do you want me to do about it , in a harsh tone, which pissed me off. I said
I would drive back up to Hernando, and he can make another sandwich. I drove back up
the Newks, and waited a short time for Tyler to come out. He did and he was very
short and in manner with me, which really pissed me off. No hello, no handshake,
no we are sorry for the problem. He did give me a free piece of cake, which I asked
for, to compensate for same of my time, & gas to go back and forth again, but I still
felt pissed off. I have been a long time customer, and I felt I was given the bums ‘rush
when I left, because I felt that they could not care less about my business.

I wish that I was writing a nice note to you about Newks because I love your food and have given Newks quite a bit of business. However, the agency that I work for had a terrible experience and wanted to tell you. I am the office manager for a non-profit–Hope Ministries– in Baton Rouge, LA. I went online and was excited to use the “Group Order” option. I sent the link to my group and everyone ordered their favorite meal. However, when I went to finalize my order, the website would not let me give a time to pick up the order……So, I called it in. I spent time calling and speaking with two different people about my group order (it was only 7 entrees). When it was time for the order to be picked up, our President/CEO went to Newks on Corporate to pick up the order. She paid for the order and left. When she arrived at her board of director’s meeting she realized that the order had not been fulfilled properly. She was missing three meals. She had to go all they way back to Newk’s to pick up the missing three meals…..the WORST part of this story is that NOT ONE EMPLOYEE APOLOGIZED TO HER or ME (I called in to tell them to have the missed meals ready upon pick up). And….the employee that helped her when the CEO re-arrived was RUDE to her. Not acceptable. Our last staff meeting, we ordered a large specialty tray from NEWKS. After this experience, we will most likely choose a more local option. Thank you for listening.

We have visited this establishment repeatedly. On our most recent visit we observed as a result of finding hair in our meal that no one in the kitchen protected their hair with a hairnet, a hat does not prevent hair from falling into the food but they did not wear a hat either.
We further noted that most of the staff had long hair, and once they removed gloves to serve the meal they would subconsciously touch their hair or faces whilst serving the meal. For the sake of preserving proper hygiene all staff should wear hairnets.
That is an unacceptable practice in terms of personal hygiene.

I live in California and I went on your website to find out, if there’s a restaurant out here. But it “NEVER” answer my question. It just gave me the run around. But nevermind, after “READING” the customer’s comments on here. I don’t want to waste my time and effort on your place of business. Your food looks good on your website, but looks can be deceiving. Thanks but no thanks.
