This is to inform you of the disgraceful service we received from “Zaxby’s, 3101 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088 – chk #2651, 18 Nov 2019, 03:33pm.
We ordered 2 salads & a (5) Wing Meal no-sauce, to go. I first noticed that the chicken on my salad was cold, as were some of the fries. (Having over 30 years in food service, I can say one of two things is occurring: a. Food is being prepared too far in advance, or b. “Take Out orders” are routinely given leftovers, even if they are cold and some may be reheated, after hours of sitting or refrigerated.) After eating 2 wings, I turned a 3rd one over, that seemed to be broken. To my horror, a Huge bite had been taken out of the wing(drum stick) and placed perfectly in the box to hide the disgusting fact. Since we both had started to eat, my wife immediately felt sick at the sight of this wing. I was too pissed off and only thought of what else might have been added to our take out meals.
I returned all uneaten items to the store & spoke to the manager on duty. He did not seem shocked and offered to redo the order. I told him H$&$ no, I don’t want anything out of this nasty store; just give me a refund. He apologized, refunded my money, and stated he was going in the back to speak to the crew about this.
Since this is a very serious health violation, and the lack of shame/ embarrassment, I am not confident that much will be done. I choose not to contact the health department or BBB at this time. Therefore, I am attempting to inform corporate of this foul incident and would like to know your actions.

I can be reached at the above email address, if you have questions. I have a picture if you want it?

Dissatisfied Customer,
Warner Robins Ga

Ate at Zaxby’s on Augusta Road in Greenville, SC. I will not be back.
The tables were dirty, the seats were dirty. Didn’t look like the place had been cleaned in awhile. My salad was tolerable at best. I didn’t even finish it. I should have taken it back and left. I am very disappointed in the service, how clean it was and the manager was a joke. He couldn’t care less. Sadly, this place is not up to standard any longer. Certainly hope that someone takes the time to read this and do something about your store.

I had a bad experience with the Lauren’s Road store in Greenville, SC on Sunday. I contacted corporate, corporate contacted them. The store manager called me and said I talked to a woman as if I don’t know the difference from speaking to a man versus a woman. He sounded like the same man I spoke to earlier. He expects me to bring a bowl of lettuce back which is all I mostly had in a Zensation salad. I’ve only had it twice, but this one was a total disappointment. It had about 6 very tiny cubes of chicken or pellets and a teaspoon full of slaw. I was so hurt because I usually could eat from it twice. I couldn’t enjoy this salad once. I gave up! No chicken, no slaw, just lettuce and one of the egg rolls was just roll. I still have the bowl of lettuce to return but can’t find the time to return it. I thought about just taking the lost but it’s the principle. So, I’m going to hold on to this lettuce and try and return it before it continues to spoil., or I take the lost which isn’t fair to me.

The CORINTH, MS restaurant is a complete joke! We drove up to the drive-thru window opened our box of chicken to find that no sauce was placed in the box. When we asked the “manager” at the window for some he tried charging us .25 cents for it even after we handed our bag back to him. To make a long story short we exchanged words and told him that we would not be back his reply was, that’s fine by me! Customer service is obviously not Zaxby’s number one priority. What a freaking joke!

Extremely disappointed with ownership at Hillsborough Street location in Raleigh NC. My 17 year old was about to be towed from the parking lot 2 1/2 hours before the store opened on the day of a hurricane and was extorted $150. Owner described his issues but never addressed ours.

All of our friends, family and co-workers are staying away from each and every Zaxbys, not just the Hillsborough Street location in Raleigh.

On and off, I’ve worked with Zaxby’s since 2012. I went in everyday and did basically anything that was asked of me in relation to my job, no questions asked. I ended up moving to Dunlap, TN almost year and a half later. I ended moving back to Birmingham and returned to the store I was at the first time around (Morrow Rd, Birmingham, AL) with a new management team (with the exception of one). I was wrongfully terminated this time around due to other employees stated I had left when they were busy and had a full screen of orders (in which they did not have a full screen of orders was slow) After about close to 2 years, I was allowed to return (despite the wrongful termination) and made my intentions very clear that I wanted to get into management before I moved to be with my family. I was basically told that if I didn’t say hi to everyone the moment I walked in the door that I would be fired. I took off Labor Day weekend to spend time with my wife and when I returned, I was informed that a new hire was gonna be the main person putting the truck up, basically giving me the vibe that I was going to be terminated yet again after being given only one day to work. I also felt that I was the only hard working employee while the majority of the other crew members stood by and did nothing

I went to Zaxby’s on 2203 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021 on Saturday, September 9th 2019 at 11:36 am. I ordered chicken strips, fries, toast, extra zax sauce. I ordered my food through the drive thru. I got home and the chicken strips were burnt and the fries were old. I was cussing like a sailor. I took that mess back to the store and the person that was helping me had an attitude. She made me wait. When she gave me more chicken strips they look like the ones that I gave her. I should have gotten my money back. The order cost me $16.66. Money do not grow on trees. I did not get anymore fries. You need to shut that store down because the employees are not providing 100% customer service to the customers. I will never eat there again, and I will be telling all my family and friends. You need to fire all the cooks and some of the undedicated employees. I bet they had a bad store rating. I did not see it on the window. The food should have been fresh since they just opened at 10:00 am., and I ordered at 11:36 am. The chicken was overcooked.

I came in today to have lunch at Zaxbys in Brookhaven, Miss. I usually set in the little 2 seater booth and there was a lady sound asleep all slumped over and I asked one of the servers how long has she been here and they said all day ever since they opened that she does it every day. She gets free food from customers, that come in just thought you should be made aware of it I have pictures but didn’t see where I could put them just don’t seem like she should do that every day. I ask employee what could they do about it, she got irrate at a female cashier. Then went back over there and went to sleep. Employee didn’t deserve that.

Marty Webb August 14, 2019 at 9:44 am

My son and I went to your store in Winchester Tn. Friday night only to find they didn’t have any FRIED CHICKEN!!!!! at a fried chicken restruant. This can only be very poor management. Time to make some changes!

I am a very mad parent my 16 year old son just got his 1st job at the Fleming Island store in Jacksonville FL. He has only worked a few shirts. but the last one he worked just a few days ago was with the GM of the store. He did not want tell me how this lady belittled him for 5 hours because he doesn’t want to loss his job. he was almost in tears telling me how this low life leader road him and talked about him in front of the hole staff. is this the type of leaders you have working and setting the examples for our youth? this will go all the way to the top trust me. again this was not another lower employee this was the GM of the Fleming Island store in Jacksonville FL I really had to hold back from driving there and opening up a can of whip…..s on this lady who do you think you are to talk to a kid like that. trust me I have your number.

Paul June 21, 2019 at 11:49 pm

This may be a bit lengthy, but, please read and share, I would appreciate it.

GM, our 16 yr old son, got a job at Zaxbys in Macon,Ga on 3160 Northside Dr about a month ago. Before hiring the management was informed that GM did have Asperger’s so this was a big deal for him and for us too, so it felt good to see him accomplish this. Because of his Asperger’s, he sometimes struggles with social cues. He asks a ton of questions about a variety of things, and is curious about many things.
I have an older son who worked there for years, so I know most everyone employed there. By all accounts given to me, GM was doing well and learning to do a number of duties. A couple of weeks ago he had an encounter with a 19 yr old guy that works there, (KH), it ended with GM being shoved by KH. They were both pulled aside by a manager and verbally reprimanded, KH was told that there is a no tolerance policy for putting your hands on another employee. Apparently, this time didn’t fall under the no tolerance rule. All was well and went back to normal until last weekend. Last Thursday night, GM asked the manager if he could get off at 9 rather than close, since they were slow. The manager told GM to make sure there was someone else closing so he asked KH, and he told him he was closing that night, and another person he asked would be as well. So, the manager gave him the go ahead to leave early. The next day, Friday, I drive him to work and go inside, and someone tells me that KH is angry because he wanted to leave at 10 on Thursday and he had to stay to close because GM left early. KH was upset and stated he wasn’t going to be doing anything that night except sit in the dish pit, and so he did. Sometime before 9 PM KH asks the manager if he can leave at 9, the manager says no because it was busy, a typical Friday night. Shortly after this he directed his anger toward GM, and somewhere in his ramblings he called GM a ‘nigga”. GM asked him, “why do you get to say that word but I can’t?”, KH said, “because you’re not black!”. So KH walks around to the front counter to get a drink still angrily ranting , and while GM is standing on the cook side of the serving window, he asks, “so, I cant say the word ‘nigga’?” KH reached through the window and slapped GM, hard enough to leave an imprint of his hand and red mark on his face. The manager tells KH to go outside right then. We were told that the General manager would have to make a decision on this incident within a couple of days. Saturday evening at work the manager was berating him in his face “are you so stupid that you don’t realize how you’re putting our jobs on the line” and was told to call someone and go home around 9, so I picked him up. The next day, on Sunday we got word that GM was not to come in to work even though he was scheduled. Later that evening the new schedule went up and my older son informed me that GM was no longer on the schedule but KH was scheduled all week. The manager said GM was fired for a no tolerance policy on using racist words and Kh would keep his job. This manager was made known by witnesses that GM never called KH anything at all, he just asked what he asked and that was it. Monday the District manager went in the store and viewed the tapes and told the general manager to fire KH, he said he didn’t want a lawsuit. The manager who failed to fire him on the first incident and the 2nd go round claimed that KH is his favorite evening cook , so obviously that was why the no tolerance policy didn’t apply here.
We have a mixture of cultures in our family, black being one. Friday night GM said he wanted to handle all of this and have us stay out of it, but he didn’t understand why he couldn’t say this word when numerous other people that worked there did. We have since explained that even though his question was innocent it was inappropriate. We tried to stay out of this but as his parents, We find it hard to sit back while the Zaxby’s managers try to paint our 16 yr old autistic child with the broad brush of racist. While the management is ok with a 19 yr old young man assaulting a 16 yr old child with Asperger’s not once but twice and still would have preserved his job if it were not for the district manager fearing a lawsuit. All of this could have been avoided if the no tolerance policy had applied to KH when he shoved GM the first time. On Tuesday I went to Zaxby’s and talked to the Manager about getting a separation notice so we could get the official reason he was fired. I was told that he didn’t have to give me anything and “honestly I’m more upset about having to fire my cook than what happened to your kid”. The blatant disrespect and unprofessional management at this establishment is a problem and it is absolutely shocking to be treated in such a way. My son didn’t deserve the treatment he received from the management there, and neither does anybody else’s child.

My husband and I visited Zaxby’s in Lake City, FL today. As we were eating, I began noticing how dirty the entire restaurant is. The walls are filthy, the ceiling is stained, return air vents were filthy and the floor wasn’t clean. The space under the counter in the front looked like it has never been cleaned. I realize the restaurant was built many years ago; however, it should be clean! There was an ice machine I wouldn’t even touch! We won’t go back until it’s cleaned and has been updated.

Donna Buice April 28, 2019 at 7:12 pm

I visited Zaxbys in Griffin, GA. The meals that I ordered came with 22 oz drinks. I went through the drive thru. When I was handed the drink holder, one of the drinks tipped over and spilled all over the inside of my car, on my phone and inside of my purse. I have or rather had a designer Tommy Hilfiger purse and now it is ruined because the drink that spilled was sweet tea. Thankfully I had a protector on my phone or it would have been ruied as well. I am very upset about this. The drink holder should be designed to fit the the drink cups to avoid issues such as this.

Robert Griffith March 5, 2019 at 4:50 pm

shortly after school drove my eight-year-old son 5 miles to the Zaxby‘s in Winter haven Florida. I ordered boneless teriyaki chicken wings through the drive-through the person on the other and repeated back the same order received the order now drove 14 miles to our house opened up the order and it was buffalo wings in tongue torch sauce . Call them up spoke to the manager the manager she says come back and exchange it and I’ll also give you a free coupon for another meal I drive 14 miles back which is more than the cost of the dinner they exchange it but she then decides she didn’t want to give a coupon and said I would only give it to you had you come back tomorrow which doesn’t make sense so I drove 14 miles back to the house and spent enough money to buy two more of these high priced less than quality meals.

Mike palmer February 24, 2019 at 2:53 pm

I was at the zaxby’s in Washington GA. The manager on duty was very rude and swearing at her employees. I ask what her name was because she does not need that position. Her name was Montoya.

3skinny pieces of celery in 10 piece jerk chicken/who’s the jerk? Celery and carrots are not expensive and add to the experience of this/ maybe th employees don’t eat celery or you just want to sell extra carrots/celery for $2.00 but ridiculous and insulting to put 3 split pieces of celery in this . Also had 3 people that came in after me that got food before I did and I only ordered 2 items / felt discriminated and was friendliest person amongst them / food delivery guy got better service

rebekah simpson February 15, 2019 at 10:27 pm

so i have been working at Zaxbys for almost a year and it has definitely been crazier then i expected. i have been written up a total of 3 times for the same thing, my attitude. Personally, i don’t have attitudes. all the managers get mad because of my “mean face”. i work my butt off and do everything managers tell me to do. So for future workers, i hope you read this because everyone at zaxbys are super sensitive and can’t handle a face. For corporate, i work at the Mulberry, FL Zaxbys and i’m a cashier. if you would like to contact me and discuss these issues email or call me.

Alex Garner January 11, 2019 at 2:33 pm

I have worked at the zaxbys in Jesup ga since February 2018, and I loved it so much, I was always noticed for my extreme hard work, I was cross trained and soon to be crew leader, before the crew leader position was available for me, my boss Randall told me that there was a management position open in hinesville ga but i would have to transfer, I agreed and he set me an interview up with Edward, I got the job and transferred over to lose everything. I was never even a manager, I was dropped to part time and I lost my benefits, and I had to put 3 times the amount of gas in my car to get there,I tried to transfer back for Randall to tell me “Chris (our dm) won’t allow you to come back” so I told him I would call Chris myself and he got an attitude. I never did because I was so upset that I done everything I possibly could to do everything perfect and make sure everything was as amazing as it could be for the customers and the employees, anyways I worked in hinesville for a week, I started on Thursday of that week worked a 11-9 shift and Saturday I worked 4:30 to close, I was off Sunday and then the following week I worked Monday and Tuesday and quit Thursday, I just got my check and it was $9.90, can you please tell me how that’s possible for a girl that makes 9.50 a hour, and work that many hours to get a check for 9.90??? I’m so mad that all the amazing employees get treated like crap. Not to mention how many times I heard from people that the one who sent me over talked bad about me and telling my business to other employees.

MJones November 28, 2018 at 6:29 pm

I am so angry at Zaxbys and their treatment of their employees. My 16 year old son told the manager the day he was hired that he needed Thanksgiving week off, as his dad would be home from Korea after 11 months; then heading back to Korea for another 5 months. He was told that since it was 3 months out he was fine. A week before Thanksgiving the schedule came out and he was scheduled for 5 days. He let the manager know and they said if he didn’t come in he would be fired. We picked his dad up in Wisconsin and spent Thanksgiving there, meaning my son could not possibly work. So, my son was fired for seeing his father who is serving his country half way around the world. If this is how you treat your employees, I’m going to let everyone I know and not go to Zaxbys anymore. It’s terrible to do to employees and service members!

ROBERT HAGGARD July 29, 2019 at 12:52 pm

I am also upset with Zaxbys. My 25 year old son has been working very had at Zaxbys covering every shift that he has been asked to work for months now. The other day Friday June 26 he worked his shift 10 am to 4 pm and was planning to be with his 5 year old daughter having her for the weekend. What they do is make you stay until someone else arrives for the next shift. I have set in the Zaxbys parking lot a few times until 420 or 430 because someone is running late. Or you get fired for leaving after you already worked your shift. Which is what happened to my son Reed Haggard. Doesnt seem fair. His manager told him he could come back in thirty days if he hasn’t found another job. Wow

Chrisyatta Horton November 17, 2018 at 10:38 pm

This is the worse customer service I have ever received. The cashier had the nastiest attitude & repeated my order 3 times and still got it wrong & had the nerve to catch an attitude when I brought it back. Every time I come to this place I have bad service I will not be back.

Samantha Dellinger October 14, 2018 at 11:35 pm

I worked at zaxbys in Duncan on east Main Street until tonight. It’s a sad world we live in when someone doesn’t complete the job that the manager told them to do before they left. Manager never “checked” them off; they just told the employee to leave. Then the manager comes to me and says whatever she didn’t do go do it. Like no honey. So i did and literally this girl didn’t do crap. She didn’t do the bathrooms or dining room that she was asked to do before she left. So i got really mad. A fellow employee asked me why i was mad and i sat there and told her. Well the same manager that overheard me talking to my coworker told me not to come back because i was running my mouth about someone who wasn’t there to defend themselves when they didn’t do like the manager asked. We’ll this same manager has been trying to fire me since my first day working with her because of the position i was hired on as.

Samantha Dellinger October 14, 2018 at 11:36 pm

The manager that told me not to come back until i spoke to them GM was Sabrina Ellison.

Berenice Alejandro September 12, 2018 at 2:47 pm

I love zaxbys, I go to the one on fry rd in cypress Texas and I always feel very welcomed. “Welcome to zaxbys” they say. Thank you!

Cynthia Delores Huggs August 30, 2018 at 7:39 pm

I work at Zaxby’s on Hull Road in Athens. The manager name Shannon is so disrespectful to us. She told an employee that we all needed to be shot, by pointing her hands under her chin like a gun. Regina Johnson, a manager cursed an employee, and when the employee reported this incident to upper management, their comment was: “We stand by our managers”. There seem to be a rival between East Side and Hull Road. The East Side Employees are coming to work at Hull Road, not only are they there to work, but their telling the Hull road employee’s that their not organized, our workers don’t know what their doing, and this is the reason their being sent over to help. One thing about the Hull Road Employee’s, they are very clean worker, and we serve good clean food. Today one of the East Side employee made food, and the customer brought it back, because her food had hair in it. This happened because the East Side worker’s hair was not pulled back. Another thing that I seen the East side employee do is make a Grill Cheese out of already cooked toast. I told Shannon that we don’t do this in our store, and she just said: “Get in the Kitchen”. I admit that I am a hard worker, but I needed a little help during lunch rush hour, and the managers on duty sent no one to help me get the food out, although I was 20 off screen. Let me remind you that I had to make salads, sandwiches, buff, make zak snacks, and chicken finger plate by myself during lunch hour, and the only thing Shannon could say to me is: “you better get that food out”. Not once did she help or send someone over to help me, when there were other workers standing around doing nothing. The only thing that she wants us to do is cater to East Side Employee’s, and that’s not fair. If we stock up our stations, they should do the same. I just want people to treat me with the utmost respect. Nobody should have to be cursed out by the managers, because if you do it to them, their ready to fire you. This treatment needs to stop!

shannon July 28, 2018 at 1:50 am

Well, I tried a different Zaxby’s today, but to no avail! This one is located on Hwy 41, Cobb county, Georgia.

I started giving my order, and I noticed the girl taking my order looked sick. Her nose was running like a little child’s nose will at times. She wiped her nose with the back of her right hand. Needless to say, I told her that I lost my appetite and then left the building.

Where do you get your employees?

shannon July 28, 2018 at 1:59 am

Does corporate even care about these awful stories of their employees? I suppose enough people will get sick of Zaxby’s (or sick because of Zaxby’s) so that the corporate fat cats will listen to the customers. Probably not!

Maria Busam July 19, 2018 at 2:44 pm

Look what I took a bite out of while chewing on ice from my drink from Zaxby’s at 1657 New Garden Rd in Greensboro. Wasn’t sure what type of hair and the picture is blown up. Called the manager and he was SHOCKED or so he said. I took it up for him to see and all the staff come out or poked their heads out from the back to laugh. Lots of laughing by the staff. The manager (Don) looked at it and his response was “Oh, that looks like a pice of someone’s weave that fell out.” That did not comfort me or calm the storm brewing in my gut. To him and his staff it was no big deal.

I called the Guilford County Health Department and they said they would send someone out in a couple of days… are going to love this… tell them, “to keep the ice machine clean.” So nice to know those tax dollars we spend are used to make a difference. No one paid me anything….I told him myself he needed to empty and clean the ice machine.

Shannon July 14, 2018 at 3:02 pm

I was shorted $2 change at the drive through at the Spring Rd, Smyrna, GA location on 7/14/18. When I went inside to get my change back, the person who took my money said I put the $2 on the car’s dashboard. I don’t have a dashboard, so I told them that this has happened before at this location. However, this is the first time I bothered to get my change back.
Something that always happens at this drive through, is that the person taking the order says my total is $8.23. My total is always $8.26!!!! I consider this a distraction so that I don’t notice the incorrect change!!

After eating the salad I ordered, my stomach started having really bad pains. I had the worst diahreah I have ever had! Something is really wrong here! Not getting back correct change, being told an incorrect total, and getting violently ill after eating is not normal! I am begging that the Corporate office officials go by there on a Saturday at lunch and order a Zensation Zalad and a cup of water!

Ms Kei April 22, 2018 at 3:49 pm

I visited the Zaxby’s located in Oakleaf and was very disappointed. The employee named Emma was very rude taking my order. I went to the pickup window and paid where I received my order.
My son asked why his drink (sprite)looked different.
We frequent Zaxby’s and only order sprite as our drink.

To my surprise his drink was contaminated with a white powdery sticky substance.
I immediately parked went inside to address the issue. The acting manager on duty was Kenan who had no explanation for the tainted drink.

All the employees were shocked.. other drinks were made and only mine was contaminated which I can guarantee was done on purpose.
I was told that the manager Tia was out for the day.
This is unacceptable and I would like the corporation to address the issue.

The store in Callaway, Fl on Tyndall Pkwy is not being cleaned like it is supposed to be, There is no degreaser, no bleach, no sanitizer of any kind being used. They don’t pay attention when you order something to make sure it is correct before you get it. They are steadily hiring new people from either someone being fired for being on their phone at work or because they are quitting. Other employees that have kids get their phone taken away because of these other employees that can’t live without their phone long enough to do their job. It is not right, the ones with children need to have their phone in case they get a call about their kids. I have worked in this kind of business for a long time and I know how these things should be run and this one is not being run properly. This is a product of poor management. These problems really need to be addressed immediately. Yes I am the mother in law of one of the employees at this store, but we also ate there one evening almost 2 weeks ago and will not eat at this one again until I know that these matters have been taken care of. When I dropped this employee off last week to work 2 days in a row you could smell that the grease needed to be changed and I was sitting in my vehicle. Also if you want the employees to put machinery back together that someone else took apart they need to be shown how and not be fussed at because they don’t know how to do it. If the manager at this store wants things to be done her way then she needs to train them herself. The way the trash has to be taken out is too time consuming. I am sorry but this lady does not know how to run a business. The gentleman that is there when she is not isn’t any better. Both of them need to be retrained and with some manners. If you treat your employees like crap you won’t have them for long especially the ones that do what they are supposed to and get fussed out about the others not doing what they are supposed to. They don’t even know how to work all the equipment themselves, but expect the new employees are just supposed to know how everything works. That is not how that works, when the managers get trained they should know how all the equipment in the store works, so that if someone has to be out and they can’t find a replacement, the work can still be done.

Zaxby’s located at the Pinnicale iin Bristol, TN. On 3/30/18 about 6:00 pm on Friday evening we stopped and went through the drive-thru. I had to repeatt my order 3 times and each time another worker would come over the speaker laughing . I drove around and all the workers were standing around aughing including the manager himself. This makes three times they have done this to us. I feel this needs to be addressed. What type of management would allow workers to act so unprofessional. We eat there for lunch and every evening but after this I will be going somewhere else. I’ve seen this happen to other customers as well. To the staff it’s like a funny game, so very to sad to have such an unprofessional staff and allow them to treat customers this way. I intent to post something in the paper as well as with Better Business Bureau.

I think it is very tacky and ridiculous for this company to charge 25 cents for sauce. It is an embarrassment that this company “cant afford” to be GENEROUS with their sauce. And the employees act as if it comes out of their paycheck if they were to give out a free sauce. I am not much* more likely to go to a Chick Fil A establishment rather than a Zaxby’s for this reason alone. The company appears to be cheap and absolutely ridiculous to charge for something like this.

I worked as a cook at zaxbys for a year, in Hinesville location. It was such a nightmare. Me and another co worker were singled out because we spoke our mind when the new gm was promoting people who were just hired over us. We worked so hard there, and most days you leave feeling discouraged and unappreciated. When they let go of the best management I’ve ever worked with In 32 years of life it was all downhill from there. The GM has a total pride issue and only seems to hire little girls, which is pretty disturbing. We were always out of supply’s, and I found out after I left that he was trying to give us a hard time so we would quit, because we spoke up against the inconsistencies. He’s clearly not mature enough to run a restaurant, and how hard I worked there and he just wanted more young girls on board. I worked in the kitchen, and the kitchen employees are treated like dogs while the little girls up front are pampered and treated like gold. I will continue to speak up against this, it’s an outrageous place to work. I would never let my child work for zaxbys nor will I go there as a customer. Zero respect ✊ this place is a clown show. Straighten it up, and treat kitchen staff like people not dogs. Bull XXXXX I have an impeccable work history aside this and now am a chef at an upscale retirement home. I still feel I must speak out on behalf of the kitchen staff. Horrifying experience that I’ll never forget

I went to Zaxbys in Hendersonville NC and I am an ex employee there and I got some ice and one of the employees dumped a whole thing of salt on my ice. So I called talk to the manager and they said they would replace it so I went back through and this time they spit in my cup of ice. The employee that did it is one of the managers needless to say zaxbys has lost mine my friends and my family’s business.

Lori Smith November 17, 2017 at 11:35 pm

I have been to the Zaxby’s location in Athens on Atlanta Hwy twice. This trip today was the worst. Over 25 minutes to go through the drive-thru. Seriously!!! This is the second time I have been to the drive-thru and have waited extremely long periods of time. Maybe you should consider what your competition does “chik fil a” and have people outside taking orders or have extra people during your peak times to handle the drive thru.

Concerned November 2, 2017 at 4:59 pm

I have a family friend who is an employee at Zaxby’s. They have recently hired a new manager. The employee and her family and friends patron Zaxby’s in a regular basis. She hasn’t now found out that she has been written up for going through the drive through, as a paying customer, on her day off. I’m MIND BLOWN how this is even acceptable in someone’s mind! If I’m an employee, not working and I’m paying full price for my meal, I would expect that I should be treated as every other Zaxby’s customer. Now, she has been written up, no communication from management, and her job is affected because they can be fired after multiple offenses. I would like to know if this is actually an enforceable policy or if this supervisor is making rules up to suit his agenda.

I went to Zaxby’s on Battleground Ave. in Greensboro NC, my good was horrible so I called & the Manager Raymond said he put my name in the book..returned today 10/10/17 & went inside thinking it would be better (NOT) the cashier looked depressed and like she needed a hug the drive thru Cashier looked like she came to work from parting all weekend (GHOE).l asked fresh food instead of my money back & all I got was told off in front of so called manager & other customers, my life was threatened by the drive thru cashier of how she will kick my A**& drag me telling me she’s not what I want how she would come around the counter and so on & so.. now did I mention how the “manager ” Raymond standing there .. I was ignoring her but talking to Raymond letting him know I understand why my visits aren’t worth nothing cause he’s not showing he’s worth working there at least surly not as a Manager. I asked for my money back & was told that it wasn’t an option.. now I got threatened & robbed. I called the 888 # to Tell them all about it..( which the flyers said call & tell us all about it) only to be told it’s nothing they can do but call management & refund request. Smh . I can’t let this go because I’m out of my money & life threatened please share with everyone cause I went through hell over some chicken.. that wasn’t even Chick Fila lol guess I should eat more beef. I hope someone will call me from Corporate office cause I plan to take this to a higher authority of the law. My life matters.

Yolanda October 11, 2017 at 12:08 pm

Oh I’m sorry to all that read this.. I so forgot to mention what caused this to happen to me is because there was no real reason,I was there with a co – worker who was to receive a reorder too. The front cashier (Alexus) yes just how she spelled her name.. was very rude to co worker and they began to argue well mine you I was waiting on my food trying to stop them with Raymond the “manager ” just standing there looking like WTF the drive thru tired looking thing I can only assume it was a woman came going off on me which I fully understand it had no clue of what is going on so that’s why I ignored it & kept talking to Raymond until my life became threatened so yes I was wanting to lay hands but being that I’m a grown woman who don’t know how to entertain ignorant folk had to leave & allow this to be addressed in a grown woman’s law of the land..

I went to Zaxby’s in Bishopville SC. The place is just nasty. I had to order three times just to get my order right and then when they brought it back to me it still was not right. Listen I drove 2 hours and I was tired from working hard. The cashier seem to not understand my order and the cooked continued to ask what tradition wings were. Then when the lady told him exactly what it was. I told her I wanted mild wings hold the sauce a little bite. I should of been talking to a eight month old baby. There customer service skills was terrible. When I got back in the car the food was hard. How much more foolish will you all continue to allow from this store.

Pat Lindemann October 1, 2017 at 11:27 am

I visited the Zaxbys’s store on 9/30/17 on Highway 17 Savannah Ga. I got 2 large wings n things orders. Both orders were short food shorted on chicken fingers ans an wings, the wings did not even have the tong torch sauce on them…..completly dry!! On anther occasion I was plain and simply shorted food. I thought that this was a mistake but now I find it a pattern. Is this the way we treat customer?? Do I absolutly have to take apart and inspect my meals when I leave?? You get screwed when you get a to go order. I am a big fan of yoyr food but now question if I need to find another place to buy my food. I am very let down.

halley ridenour September 26, 2017 at 4:40 pm

Jonaya Broyles is the general manager of the zaxbys in jacksboro tennessee, We got water cups from a girl we know and she wrote her up. but while we was in there, Jonaya’s family came in and she gave them loads of free food. She didn’t ask to take our order, and was rather rude to where i will not go back while she is working. she needs to be fired and a more friendly GM, needs to be in charge. She is a joke.

Mamie September 24, 2017 at 6:31 pm

I dine at Zaxby’s 3-4 times a week. I visited Zaxby’s, Saturday 9/23/17 located 9840 /Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC. 29223, It was at 2:18 in afternoon and not crowded, I was the only car in drive thru until I placed my order 1 other car and inside not busy from where I could see. I ordered Big Zax meal and Chicken Finger meal with 3 cookies for myself and my daughter. When I arrived home and we prepared to eat, I was missing the cookies and the fries were dry and tasted awful. I called back asked for a manager spoke with Desmond who asked me to come back and get the missing cookies and fries or I could come in later and give his name for the items. I said I would come later but thought about it and decided I wanted refund. I called Zaxbys 9/24/17 and got another manager and expressed I wanted a refund. She stated she would call me back that she had to call Desmond to see how to refund. She did call me back and said I could only get 6 cookies (I only paid for 3) and 2 orders of fries. I’m not very happy with this experience and will not ever go to this Zaxby’s again and nor will I recommend it to anyone. Why would I trust fries from this location and cookies that they didn’t give me in the first place. They are not customer friendly or professional. Maybe they need more training in management. I didn’t agree with options given by Desmond and I would like to be refunded for what I paid for but didn’t receive and the awful fries refunded. Food was thrown out and money don’t grow on trees!!! By the way, we went to another restaurant and had lunch. Red Robin and it was awesome. Thanks Zaxby’s for ruining my day!!! You have lost a very loyal customer.

Ridge Kayser September 23, 2017 at 3:32 pm

I visited your brand-new (just-opened) location at 1717 S. Yale Ave. in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 21, 2017 (04:10pm) & got LOUSY SERVICE. I kept my sales receipt and went to the to notify you of the problem. I tried multiple attempts over the course of 10 to 15 minutes and the site would NOT even accept the “date & time of visit” code into your survey form, even though I printed it EXACTLY as shown on the sales receipt. Seems like you’ve got more than one problem here, . . poor service at a brand-new location, AND an inability for a customer to even report it to you. Amazing . . .

sherry September 7, 2017 at 2:44 pm

I went to the zaxbys.Sept/62917 at on 7149 mount zion 30236. phone number 678.610.7676. the service was horrible the cashier was talking real loud at the guys in the back I stood there for a while before any one said any thing . forgot to give me sauce went back up to get it every employee was fussing about the ones at the drive through.. every one was in the phone the. getting extremely rude with you cause you are interrupting the phone call they have it was horrible. now I know why. it was only 2 people eating there ..never again. I work restaurant business and know what customers like and want. the young lady who was cleaning the dining room was on her phone talking loud. the problem with my food was only 6 fries. that were hard and crispy the taste like they were reheated and the chicken fingers were hard. yes the food was not what zaxbys is suppose to be and taste like the coleslaw was watery with tones of mayonnaise. this location has gone down ..

Shanika jones August 8, 2017 at 10:07 pm

Today I went to your zaxbys 5421 McFarland blvd northport al 35476 I placed my order was told by the gentleman that my order was 16.33 so I gave him 21.33 he came to the window laughing and talking and basically called me a liar because I call him on the fact that he didn’t give me my change the manager came to the window and said ma’am we can’t give you no money without counting the register down so basically they didn’t believe me I had to wait on them to count it down for them to give me my money I have never been so embarrassed in my life only for them to come back to the window and say here your five dollars I will not be coming back because one thing I’m not is a liar and I could have went to any other restaurant people please count your change when visiting this restaurant not trustworthy

Greg Smith August 1, 2017 at 10:03 am

I wrote about Zaxby’s are the way the location on Stonecrest Mall location does not give the employees breaks and it has been removed. I say again to the corporate office the location on Mall Parkway in Lithonia GA does not allow the employees to get breaks unless they work a minimum of 8 hours. SLAVE TRADE I say just because this is a private location they still have the name Zaxby’s written on the building which means they represent all Zaxby’s. If nothing is addressed with management at this location the Department of Labor and OSHA will be notified. It’s 2017 and no one works a shift without a break. Just RIDICULOUS!

Greg Smith August 1, 2017 at 4:06 am

It’s great to hear about your experiences but let’s look deeper. I have many friends whom say there kids works for Zaxby and are not given a break after working 6 hours. Sounds like SLAVE TRADE to me. I will be contacting the DOL in DeKalb county and report the Stonecrest Mall location in Lithonia Ga are not treating their staff fairly. Zaxby’s managers please read the GA law on breaks. Those ppl deserve a break after slaving in the hot kitchen. As much money this company makes a day this is sad. I have started collecting data on breaks being given so this information will be forwarded to the DOL. Please read statistics on tired workers: accidents are at a higher risk when staff doesn’t get breaks. SHAME ON YOU ZAXBY’s treat your ppl right u wouldn’t always be hiring because ppl are quitting quite often at the Stonecrest mall location.

Jfuufufuf February 20, 2018 at 7:35 pm

In the state of Georgia, it isn’t a law that you must give employees a meal break. Look it up

Keaton July 23, 2017 at 1:18 pm

I absolutely love Zaxby’s. I grew up with it and Georgia and luckily they opened a few locations in Utah where I now live. Both the food and the service have always been fantastic. It’s sad to see unfortunate experiences some people have on here, as many of the locations are franchises, but in my experience Zaxby’s has been wonderful to me and my family (who worked at a location in Georgia). My only question is about the text and mail club which I and my father signed up for a few months ago. We’ve waited for our free meals in the mail for 4 months, but to no avail. We just want a reason to frequent Zaxby’s even more!! Contact me by email, if you have the time, to make a very grateful customer.

George Williamson July 2, 2017 at 7:32 pm

Hi we order frequently to go from the Zaxby’s in Crestview FL, 32536. Everything is real good except for the fried spicy mushrooms. They always are dripping the grease they were cooked in. I do mean dripping allot of grease. I have eaten fried foods from many places all my life, I am 63 years old. However, I have never experienced the amount of grease that drips off of the fried spicy mushrooms. I have went as far as placing napkins in both sides of the container they are provided in and shake them up. The napkins are drenched in no time. Then before eating each one I gently squeeze between 2 napkins and the grease pours out and soaks those napkins. Anyway I think you get the picture. Have one of your representatives place an order to go for your fried spicy mushrooms and you will see that I have not truly covered the gross amount of grease that drains out of them. Other vendors fried food don’t come anywhere close to dripping that much grease from there food. . I know this can be fixed, maybe they aren’t cooking hot enough, maybe the type of grease could be changed, maybe they could do a couple of things like drain immediately after frying at a hot enoughtemperature. In either case I’m sure this problem could be fixed if they wanted to. Please try an order you will find it is worse than what I have described. Please encourage a fix for this problem. As I mentioned the other non-fried food is great.

I forgot to mention how loyal my daughter was to Zaxby. Since employed in January up to the end of June ,she never missed a day and never late once. Such loyal worker is rare and if you happen to have one in your company ,you take care of them even if it means giving them the proper training to preform their duties that meets your expectations. Shame on you Zaxbys!

Rafeeza Smith June 29, 2017 at 9:17 pm

In January of 2017 a Zaxbys was opened in Clermont, Florida. My daugjter was hired she worked for about a month and was then promoted to a management position. She was given the manangers uniform and all the responsibilities as a mananger but her salary was never increased. So now we are at the end of June, shewas called in the office today and told she was’t management material, they need to demote her. How on earth can you take soneone and put them in management position, without management training. Are,’nt you setting them up for failure or are you just using these kids by letting them do management job and paying them minimum wage s. How unprofessional of Zaxbys. Stop using these kids and building up their expectations and letting them down.

David June 4, 2017 at 11:42 am

Our zaxbys just opened not long ago and yes the food is good. But to work for them is a joke. My son got a job there when they opened and was working 32 hrs a week while school was in. But now that school is out they work him 8 to 1w hrs a week. He said something to his manager and he told him oh well his girlfriend needs hrs so his are getting cut. So he put his two weeks in and they work him one day out of two weeks. I call that unprofessional and the higher up are also because they said oh well he is the manager he makes the schedule…..

Nikole Cisson May 28, 2017 at 2:07 pm

We went to Zaxbys in Pickens, SC today through the drive thru…got all the way back home in Liberty,SC to see our order which was supposed to be a boneless wings and thingz meal with all fries and a chicken fingerz meal with no coleslaw and celery as a sub for the slaw. I called and they said to bring it back and that we would get a refund and our food fixed fresh when we got back. So we got there and waited about 15 min for them to ask what it was supposed to be , they took the food we brought back and said it would be ready soon…well 10 min later they come to get my debit card for the refund, bring the card back and said our food should be out shortly. After 30 min of still waiting we went to ask where our food was at and they hadn’t even made it yet!!! So because my fiancee had to be at work within the next 45 min I couldn’t even enjoy my meal because of it taking over 2 hours to get my food between the drive thru , drive home and back and then an hour wait to get it fixed once we got back there. Just thought you guys should know how crappy our trip there was!

Guy Moody May 22, 2017 at 12:57 pm

To it may concern.,

Today being May 22 ,2017 , my wife Tonia, called me and told me that one of your managers at store 3820 North Roxboro Road in Durham NC , was picking on her about her phone .
When she asked Ja’shen to drop the subject ,he persisted and kept on with the matter . This fringes on the line of harassment . My wife, Tonia, wanted to leave because she couldn’t take anymore of this but was threatened with being fired if she did . This not acceptable in my eyes and neither should it be in yours .
Harassment of ANY kind should NOT be tolerated in this or in any other work place because valuable employees van and will be lost and they can tell other potential Zaxby’s employees that this is not a safe environment to work in because harassment abounds here .
Hopefully this matter can and will be taken of and this email doesn’t fall on deaf ears or blind eyes .

Sincerely ,Guy Moody

Unappreciative customer June 1, 2017 at 3:43 pm

Today 6/1/17 as I went inside of the zaxby’s in elberton around 3, I went to the register and a lady came from the back, she never ask me if she could take my order, so she went to the ice machine, I’m still standing waiting for someone to take my order, no one never came, so I left bc I felt my business wasn’t welcomed. The floor was dirty also. I will not visit no time soon because that was very rude and unprofessional.

Jessica April 17, 2017 at 6:26 pm

I work at the Zaxby’a in Wildwood, Florida. There is a cook named Bulah who also works ther . She is a great worker but takes things too serious and gets upset if i make a mistake ringing orders. I feel like this is job harraasmebt and she should be fired. Bulah must know I am not perfect and she shouldn’t try to correct me.
