Taco John’s was founded in 1969 by John Turner in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The company operates a chain of Mexican style restaurant franchises.
The company operates one of the fastest growing Mexican food chains in the US. They have a partnership with the Army and Air Force Exchange, as well as Steak Escape and Good Times Burgers and Custard. The company has created their own niche in Mexican/American food, calling it West-Mex. This combination includes food items such as chicken taco salads, potato “Ole” dishes, and breakfast items.
Taco John’s currently has 390 franchises in 25 states, with 15 locations opening in the greater Indianapolis, Indiana, area in 2015 and 40 locations in New York and Tennessee in 2016.
