Went to Party City in Noblesville, IN today. They advertised a 40% off going out of business sale; However when we shopped around we found items that were price marked up from the original price at other Party City stores and online. When I asked a sales associate she said that their original prices were “repriced” due to the going out of business sale and they could no longer price match. So much for a “sale.”

I have been going to 4743-A Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta GA store for years and today was the first time I was told that I could NOT receive money back because I used debit card and to top it off my husband and I experience rudeness from the cashier when explaining our past experiences. I called customer service regarding this and it was time wasted. Debit is like cash and customers should have the option of getting the cash or having it put back on debit card. If items are purchased with credit card, yes money should go back on card. Most importantly, there is no written policy stating “no cash back” and was told stores do not have to provide policy. I feel that customers should have this information prior to making purchases in order to give us the opportunity to decide how we want to pay.

Party city has a policy that I am assume customers do not know about. If the customer does not want to give their email to the employee ringing up their purchase that employee may very well be fired for it. I feel it is a totally horrible policy and disrespects the customer. I know this cause my Son works at one and gotten written up cause his emails are too low for the week. His job is on the line. YET, My son gets the customers in and out faster then any other employer and waits on more customers. You guys need to stop focusing on the emails and start focusing on the customer. I as a customer would not want to wait in line cause cashiers were slow. Getting the customer in and out fast should be the #1 priority in all of this. So, please put your customers first and stop with this email nonsense. I know that if customers knew how you treat your employees over this they would think twice about spending money with you.I do NOT intend that their be any retaliation against my Son for me voicing my thoughts on this. If so, it would be considered retaliation. Thank you and hope you will put customers first and stop this email nonsense and threats of jobs on your employees.

I was so disappointed in the boxes Party City in Hickory NC made up with the balloons we picked. We were having a baby gender party 7/7/18.. I picked up boxes the tape wasn’t sticking. Girl said because you painted the boxes. When we placed the order the girl told us to paint them black. We did what we were advised to do. I put boxes in car without any associates help other than be careful tape isn’t sticking. I let her know when I placed the order the girl advised us to paint boxes black and that they would tape them shut with black DUCT tape would even be able to see it.. I put the boxes in the car noticed tape was coming off.. I went back inside to let them know boxes were open.. i was told all they could do was put more clear tape on them.. WHY??? it wasnt holding… I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD PUT BLACK DUCT TAPE ON THEM… On my way to the party baby B’s box came open balloons came out. Baby A’s box was open but balloons stayed in because there was a piece of cardboard on top of balloons.
I had to stop get DUCT tape and fix boxes before going to party that made me late to get to place and decorated.
So disappointed I could have bought balloons and helium tank and done a better job myself.
I sure didn’t receive the service I was expecting from Party City. We have other parties planned I will look somewhere else for assistance in getting supplies for them. Local florist, & craft stores can assist with party supplies and even preparing boxes…
So disappointed from this first time Grandma ☹😠☹ Pat

THIS is where you should have gone to get your Balloons for your party – PUBLIX. I work in Publix in Jacksonville, FL and came across your comment from a complaint you posted for Party City. If you have no idea where it is or do not shop in Publix here’s the address – 36 29th Ave NE Hickory, NC 28601 …. For ALL your future parties PLEASE go to the Floral dept in your local Publix….You will NEVER be disappointed with your balloons! – Michelle D. (Jax, FL Publix 631)

I want to let people know that the Lansing, Michigan Frandor Party City is known for hiring people who are racist and support men pedophile behavior toward children (little girls). How do you hire people who dont deal well with diversity in their daily life…Stalkers, creepers, perverts, and drug addicts will do good at employment for party city..They stalk and harrass your family but obviously not working a better job and some dont even have jobs they getting ssi checks that is supporting their daily habits. Guess being called racial names make you feel proud when they blowing up balloons daily.

My daughter was hired at your Maspeth NY location in August for a seasonal position. She enjoys working at Party City and was kept permanently after Halloween. She was thrilled with that news. She is a cashier, and really likes the position. She has always been accurate with her drawer, is good with the customers and can move a line fast when the store is crowded. Last night she was informed by a manager, (Meagan) over the intercom system for all of the employees to hear that her name has been posted on a wall as one of three of the “worst cashiers” because she hasn’t collected enough customer email addresses. (Customers often decline this option) She was told she had better increase the amount of emails she collects or get ready to face “serious consequences”! She came home crying, but refuses to contact the corporate office just yet because it takes so long to replace even a part time job such as this . My daughter is a college student as well. This manager is a train wreck and has been known to get into screaming matches with customers publicly. This is workplace bullying and harassment. The action was meant to demean the employee and create a hostile work environment. My daughter assured me that she will handle this, but needs a bit of time to process what happened. I’m waiting silently for right now, but I’m furious! This is an abuse of power, and it needs to be addressed. To classify my daughter as one of the “worst” cashiers – when in actuality, she’s one of the best- is abusive and degrading. This coming from a tyrannical supervisor who would not have a job if she didn’t luckily fall into this position at a young age because her behavior is that of an animal. Please feel free to contact me, thank you.

Hello – I was hired to work seasonal and was told that the job would last until January 2018. I was hired on 10/1, I went to pick up my check and had some issues. That’s another story but I noticed that I was not scheduled in for the following week. I contacted the manager Monday morning and she said that I was let go as of last week.

What is your procedure with you seasonal employees? I don’t believe that not telling someone that there no longer needed by not even telling them is right. I know I was seasonal but I was also told that my job would last until beginning of January. This is not right and I don’t think it is ethical to treat your employees like this. Whether they are seasonal or not. Can someone please get back to me. It really bothered me that this happened to me. No one should be treated this way. You should inform your current managers in how to let someone go properly.

My Yelp Review today:
Rotton product, rotten customer service. My boss was kind enough to throw me a 30th work anniversary party yesterday. He ordered the balloons ahead of time for pick up in the afternoon. When he brought them to work, they were not blown up all the way. One dozen latex, and 6 Mylars. None of them were filled to capacity, and today, they are all limp and the Mylars are half deflated. I called and spoke to a “Ricardo” who said he was the store manager. Well, you know what, Ricardo, you do NOT blame the customer for the poor inflation of your balloons and get defensive and constantly interrupt the customer on the phone. No, the balloons were NOT in a very hot or very cold space. Yes, it IS your fault, as I see balloons coming in all the time, and Mylars, when filled properly, can last up to 3 weeks or longer, not ONE DAY. Tacky, Ricardo, real tacky. I will tell all my friends in the event planning arena to stay away from your shop. RIP OFF!!!! Oh, and you might want to look at the other reviews on Yelp. Looks like I’m not the only one who has had a run-in with you. Bye-bye, now.

On Sunday, July 30th I came into your store located at 171 West 230th Street in the Bronx, NY. The first thing that caught my eye was how very messy the store was and although it was fairly crowded, I took that into consideration. Unfortunately, I was so disgusted when I saw mice droppings on the floor on two separate occasions especially in aisle 8 on items that I was going to purchase for my child’s first birthday. Then on top of that, I had one of the rudest and unprofessional staff members who I had asked to assist me and she seems bothered and annoyed when I approached her more then once. I noticed her name tag said Jana. This young lady walked away from me and never returned or bothered to send anyone else in her place. Her attitude and demeanor left a very bad taste in my mouth. Customers should never be treated in such a manner and I have been to other Party City Stores and have been treated with respect and professionalism. I would be my suggestion that Jana should be trained on how to interact with customers and when there are complaints such as this, that the employee should be spoken to and if such behavior continues that a formal written warning should follow. There are many young individuals who need employment and can be professional and would make Party City a place where more customers would have a good experience.

We gave a baby gender reveal party for our daughter, the morning before the party we took a box to the store in Nashville to have balloons put in it. We did not know the gender so we left the box with the girl working and the envelope that had the babies sex in it. We were told it would take about ten minutes so we left and returned 20 minutes later. The box was sealed properly so we were very excited and could not wait to see what our new grand baby would be. When my daughter opened the box we were very excited there were pink balloons in the box. The envelope with the gender was in the bottom of the box as we requested so my daughter took the envelope out to look at it and it said a boy. We were all very confused so I called the store and spoke to the manager and all we got was oh no from him. They need to get their act together.

My daughter was hired for the temporary season of Halloween. She was excited about her first job and although it was super busy she loved working there. She made new friends and learned a lot about retail. She knew she was hired for only the season but was hoping to get hired permanently and came in on her day off and tried working hard so that she can at least get a good recommendation. One evening she was suppose to work until 11:30 pm and was sent home early since it slowed down a bit or at least that is what she thought, the next day she heard it was because she was talking with another coworker. No manager told her that she was not allowed to talk at all so she was confused about this. 2 days before Halloween, her manager told her and her coworker, the same girl she had talked to the previous day that they each had $70 short on their registers and would no longer be allowed at the register and that day would be their last day. One of the girls told her to check the cameras if that is the case and the manager said no. It was strange that they both were accused for the same amount of money. My daughter was devastated of being accused for stealing with no proof. Now she is worried that she will not be able to work somewhere else because of this embarrassing thing she experienced. Your managers need to know how to work with employees and communicate properly.

On June 8, 2017 at 7:10pm I decided to to into the Party City on 20542 Highway 59 in Humble, TX. I was looking for some confetti for my daughter’s baby shower. I also found a lawn stork. I went to the check-out and the stork rung up $4.99. I asked the the clerk if that was the right price because it had $1.99 on the location I got it from. She called someone to check the price. The girl came back and whispered into her ear. The clerk said to me it was $1.99 and called for her manager to change the price. He came and corrected the price in the register. She rung the items I brought to the counter, the lawn stork and the confetti. She handed me the receipt and I could not read anything on it. I told her I cannot read the receipt and she turned to her manager who was ringing up others because the line had gotten long. He said to her “that machine needs ink.” I cannot believe the clerk did not mention the ink was getting low to him earlier and if she did mention it I cannot believe he did not take care of it. It means she is supplying receipts that no one can read. He looked at me and asked me do I want a receipt. I said yes. He left the register he was on and was gone for much to long. I told the clerk never mind and walked out. The store customer service is poor. First an item rang up incorrect and them giving out receipts that can’t be read. Totally unacceptable.

On April 22nd 2017 I shopped at the Party City in Jackson MI for decorations for my daughters baby shower for the next day. $174.22 was my total. Credit card accepted, I signed then computer went down and I couldn’t get receipt. Berta, the rudest person I have ever come in contact with, was asked to come talk to me because she was going to print receipt came out and said my transaction didn’t go through and I needed to pay again. My card went through so I contacted my credit card company who verified it went through. Berta stated she “didn’t care what my credit card company said” , her system shows it otherwise. She continued to argue with me. My daughter now crying because of the stress in needing these decorations that someone else was supposed to have purchased and didn’t, I told Berta while I was still on the phone with my credit card company and them confirming transaction went through that I was leaving with my bagged items. She advised me that I could not leave because I would be stealing as transaction didn’t process. My credit card company had me tell her to void the last transaction, she wouldn’t. She told me I had to pay but she would give me a 20% discount. I was humiliated in front of everyone in this store and treated like a criminal. I am not necessarily in a financial position to repurchase $174 worth of decorations but what choice did I have. Either pay again or have police called because Berta said I would be shoplifting. I am still extremely upset about how I was treated. I repurchased items bringing total to almost $135. Now fast forward to now, my credit card statement for fact is showing BOTH transactions and I am having to go through the appeal process to dispute charges. If I didn’t have any decency, I would dispute both transactions. To this day, I am so upset about how Berta treated me. Talking over me, telling me she didn’t care what my credit card company was saying, making me feel embarrassed in front of guests in store and my daughters and special needs sister who was crying because Berta stated if I didn’t pay again I would be shoplifting so my sister thought I was going to jail. I am a hospital professional and grown enough to know talk as adults and know this could have been handled so much better. My credit card company was willing to talk to the manager said fax her the receipt that it went through but Berta wanted to roll her eyes, speak over me and be the rudest person I have ever dealt with as a manager. This is completely unacceptable and I am interested to hear your take on this situation in fairness before I spread the news to all of my family, friends, and social media. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kristina Haywood

Can someone explain how this girl receives a monthly disability check from your company? She was employed in your columbia sc store before she faked a back injury. You may know her as Nancy Addington, but her Facebook is under Nancy quick. This was her post tonight:

Tired. Back screaming at me. Still “more” to move. Omg! Will this ever be over?! I need a night out full of drinking! Hurry up Friday!

Who are you to judge someone else’s pain??? Besides that, this person may be on disability but seems like a independant person. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to do things on ones own, just because a disabled person tries to be self reliant makes them a fake? You should watch who you’re accusing of what, karma has wicked ways of punching people like you back twice as hard back in the face. Be hateful, get ready to reap what you sow.

Hope you do have proof! If not, that’s a pretty down right nasty and ugly thing to accuse a person of! You can ruin someone’s life with false accusations. Keep in mind, there’s ALWAYS 2 sides to every story, and everything is fun and games until someone gets hurt or caught! Then, would you believe the plot change like the wind! As for the weed, wth! Mind your own! Have nothing better to do than worry about who is doing what when?? You must be loaded!

The Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program is here once again! Through participation in this Program, girls learn about goal setting and budgeting, as well as gaining financial literacy and public relations skills. The Cookie Sales also enables Girl Scouts of WNY to provide numerous programs for girls, adult volunteer training, and financial assistance that allow all girls to participate in Girl Scouting. Local Girl Scout troops and the public would greatly value your support in allowing our Troop #30423 to participate in a Booth Sale at one of your locations in WNY.
The 2017 Booths are scheduled to be held from February 25, 2017 through March 26, 2017.
Our Brownie Troop is requesting your approval to set up booths outside or inside at Party City.

Please notify us of your decision by January 13, 2017.

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. It is our hope that you will partner with us as we help today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders.

I want to give thanks to the employee at store number 5139 for letting me return a mask that didn’t fit. The mask was bought 5 minutes earlier but was unable to try it on in the store because of the way it was packaged. I would like to thank Jordan for her excellent customer service. I did notice her manager scolding her about taking the return which I didn’t think was right.

It would be delightful if Party City carried those beautiful rainbow colored potato chips. They come in every color of the rainbow bow. I saw a tray of them at a party. They would be a great hit. Fans could purchase them in colors of their favorite team. Maybe I will see them in party city one day.

I went to my Party City store @ 9101 Woodmore Center Drive, Lanham, Maryland 20706 to purchase a lot of candy and treats for the children in my classroom. I chose Party City because of the organization discount you offer. When I presented my school picture ID to your store manager, he told me my identification was unacceptable? That I have to have a paper with letter head? What? A pictured federal ID from the Library of Congress Child Developement Center is not proper ID? Nevertheless, he would not honor a discount. In the future, I will purchase large quantities at our local Costcos discount store. Party City has lost a loyal customer.
