Pandora History

Pandora Internet Radio began in 2000 as Savage Beast Technologies.  The company was founded by Will Glaser, Jon Kraft, and Tim Westergren.  The company created software which categorized music into recognizable patterns called the Music Genome Project.

The company received funding in 2004 to create a consumer facing software instead of trying to license the technology to larger companies.

In 2005, Pandora Radio launched.  There are both free and paid versions of the service available.  The paid version has no advertisements.

In 2008, a mobile version of Pandora was launched for iPhone, Android and other mobile devices.

In 2011, the company went public with an IPO.

In 2012, Pandora surpasses 150 million users.

In 2013, CEO Joe Kennedy announced he would be stepping down from the company.

I bought the Reflexions bracelet with charms for myself for Christmas and since have bought a few charms. I have in the last week had three fall off. Before you ask I know how to snap them on and the other charms are fine. I can’t return them because they are gone. I feel you should stand behind your products and make this right. We spend a lot of money on your stuff and you don’t really have the best customer service. I am not trying to get money back I just want the three charms replaced or a gift card. YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE YOU CUSTOMERS AND MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Good evening,

I recently purchased a ring while I was on a Carnival cruise in January. I went into the Pandora store in Vernon Hills to return the ring that I had purchased in January. A young lady by the name of Blanca first said that I couldn’t return the ring because I hadn’t purchased it at the Vernon Hills location then she said, that the only thing I could do, was exchange it for something else which I agreed that I would do but, then she took the ring and compared it to another ring that was in the store and told me that I couldn’t return it because it didn’t shine like the one in the store.
I purchased the ring while I was on a cruise and paid $115.00. I can’t believe, that a company as big as Pandora won’t take the ring back. I have purchased many items from Pandora and I can honestly say, that I am completely unsatisfied with the way I was treated at this particular store. I want you to know, that I will escalate this matter to someone at the headquarters office.

I have been trying to close my account with Pandora and because I had back surgery since June 27 of 2015. I can no longer sit at my computer chair before that time up till now. You have chosen to not have a HUMAN customer service. I have tried to change my account from my disk top and move it over to my smart phone put your system won’t let me I even tried to close my account and it won’t let me. I love Pandra Radio but it dose not love me.by chosing not to have HUMAN contact it has anger me and your fan base.what can you do for me and others with the same problem.

I have a few pieces of jewelry from Pandora; 2 bracelets and one set of earrings. I love the way the items always look in the store or on the computer when choosing the design but once I purchase the item and where the item that is another story. For example, the bow bracelet, I rec’d this bracelet for my birthday in March, I wear it every day along with my other sterling silver bracelets. I happened to be taking another piece into a pandora location to exchange for a smaller size and asked them to clean the bow bracelet for me. When I got back to the store I noticed the bracelet look yellow; had a yellow tint to it when put against other pieces. I mentioned it to the manager and his reply was, “Well, I noticed that this bracelet has been worn.” I replied that I wear it every day. My comment is, Are the Pandora pieces made to be worn daily, every day? Because if so then the manager should of had a better reply to my comment that my bracelet look yellow. Silver is not to look yellow, it is to look white, crisp and clean. I love this bracelet but I am not impressed with the professionalism at the locations I have been too or this product. I am trying to locate a oxidized sterling silver with gold clasp about 7.1 in. I purchased one at one of your outlet store about a year ago. I could not wear it because the clasp would not stay fasten. Well guess what due to the bad clasp I lost it. I snapped it on my wrist rather than put it in my pocket for my second wearing until I could try to lock it with my other bracelet. I have called several outlet stores to try an find another one to match my necklace that I still have not worn for fear of losing due to the clasp. I would of taken back to store but policy is no return at the outlet on discount items. Will you look in your inventory to see if you can locate me one. I will have to purchase on line unless you can ship to my local outlet store in Savannah Ga at Tanger Outlet in care of me.

My first experience at a Pandora store was a very pleasant one!! Julia Girardin was the most professional, customer oriented sales associate I have had the pleasure of meeting in a long time! I live on the east coast of US and I visited a relative who recently moved from Canada to Solon, Ohio. During the visit I purchased two Pandora bracelets with charms for my mom for Mothers Day and for myself while a sister purchased charms all at the Pandora Store in Solon, Ohio. While getting acquainted with the friendly sales clerk and manager , we paid for the items the receipt and jewelry were placed in separate boxes. We were told items were refundable within 30 days only if accompanied with a valid receipt. I returned the item within 30 days. My Mom received the same bracelet from another family member for Mothers Day. My desire was to return the merchandise. why not issue a credit to my refund to my card?? Will you issue a credit to my card?

On the 30th day, June 2, 2014, I return the item with receipt to a local store located near my hometown in Maryland. Whoaa!!! Was I shocked?!!?!? I was informed by management in Annapolis, Maryland that the bracelet was within the 30 day guidelines but not refundable because it must be returned to store purchased. It was refundable only for a store credit and/or store merchandise. In addition, the store credit must be used in the store that processed the credit refund. Thus, local store – Annapolis, Md. didnot accept the merchandise. If that was explained to me initially, I never would have purchased the merchandise. The manager confirmed the 30 day refund for purchases.

Manager, Laura Peters in Annapolis Md , called Terry at Solon Ohio store to acknowledge receipt of merchandise to be in excellent condition. In addition she ask for Ohio store to issue a refund processed on a credit card. Laura Peters, night manager, extended invitation to issue to merchandise credit to me, return bracelet to Ohio store for refund to be placed on my card. The district manager was contacted in Maryland who telephonically refused to accept the merchandise as merchandise credit beause didnt want to get involved . This bracelet was NEVER WORN I was never able to visit my Mom for Mothers Day.

I asked for a refund to be issued on my credit card . I tried to return the bracelet to Ohio store on 30 day refund policy via the Annapolis store. Terry, manager in Ohio indicated the need to call another manager/owner in Ohio to get permission to accept the merchandise

I met my obligation by returning the bracelet within 30 days– not aware of location constraint. I asked the manager-Terry in Ohio for a few days extension to get the bracelet back to the Ohio Store. I contacted the Ohio store manager but no response –Terry departed for the day without a response to me.

Stephanie, sales clerk nor manager on duty never mentioned to me or other family members to get a refund the merchandise must be returned to the store where originally purchased .

My wife has a Pandora bracelet that she has had for approximately 2 years and it has a gold clasp on it and it is broken. We went back to the store in N. Myrtle Beach, SC where we purchase it and asked them if we could fix or do we need to purchase a new clasp and they said they don’t fix them and they don’t sell them. They acted like a jerk and we have spend a lot of money on the bracelet and charms. I called some other stores and they suggested that I contact the corporate office.

The operation of pandora n my area of Fl0rida is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever seen.It has become unusual that I get get any music at all. If you had a refund form I would ask for my money back. You are really bad’

I am an attorney in Chicago, who manages a 121 year-old law firm. I am also a Pandora subscriber through my wife, Alyson’s account. On June 22, 2013, I am biking 100 miles in DeKalb, Illinois to raise money for a cure for MS. The ride is actually called Tour De Farms by Bike MS. As I do with training rides, I plan to listen to Pandora during my entire 100-mile ride.
