I purchased a pair of Panama Jack polarized sunglasses, model # SR0716 sir. #: 19386SPO400 MIR MCV. They were my favorite pair, I said were, because I can no longer wear them due to a design flaw that allows the
‘Temple Tips’ that cover the temple ends to rest against the inside of the sunglass lenses, severely scratching same. ( the temples are the long arms on the sides of the frame that extend from the hinge over the ears where the temples rest behind the ears, also referred to as earpieces…) A very poor design.

I’m posting the following review on all of our travel advisory websites after our TERRIBLE stay at your Playa del Carmen resort. Sadly, my husband also had a very rude interaction with the front desk manager so I have to amend the reviews to reflect that the only redeeming factor of our stay has been officially downgraded. It’s sad that one location can tarnish an entire brand.

Uuuuuggghhhh…. I feel SO bad for the people working here.

Beach = unusable due to seaweed and erosion. Not their fault, but DO NOT BELIEVE the video on their website. It is very misleading. There’s only about 20 feet of beach that you can use, once you get past the smell of seaweed, and the part where the shore meets the sand is mostly plastic sandbags and jagged have fun with that. We went to Cozumel and Isla Mujeres to get some actual beach time. Which means we PAID to go somewhere ELSE. Good thing we paid the Panama Jack resort price for beachfront, right?

Every night from 8 – ? PM they play TERRIBLE music LOUDLY. EVERY. DARN. NIGHT. From country to ACDC to Mexican Trap music. Last night? the soundtrack to Frozen at like 10PM. We went downstairs and got our room moved. The staff was so helpful and moved us so quickly that I suspect they get the request a lot.

The food is beyond gross. I ate fruit and coffee. Every meal we ate at the resort consisted of a few bites before we became so disgusted, we gave up and went in town. I’ve had hospital food that’s better. Of our 6 night stay? We tried eating in 3 times. The last time, I got physically ill off some food that had been sitting under a heat lamp for I don’t even know how long. My bad for thinking a couple of chicken wings would be too little for even that to be messed up.

The gym is serviceable as long as you don’t mind cardio machines that either don’t work or are LITERALLY held together with duct tape. Weights are good though.

The grounds of the hotel are maze-like but very pretty. The resort was once called The Gran Porto Real (how do I know bc Panama Jack couldn’t be bothered to change the logo on the robes), and it looks like Panama Jack just came in, slapped some decor up, and called it good.

The worst part? The staff is SO FREAKIN NICE. It’s like they know how bad the resort is and they’re trying to make up for it. If I could give 0 stars I would, but the staff is too nice. So 2 stars because the employees are nice.

I purchased a complete bedroom set from Furnture Warehouse in Venice Fl on January 27 2017 . The name of the furnture “White Isle of Palm “ invoice number 2042720. The 7 drawer dresser is peeling. I called the store where I purchased it from and they can only guarantee the furnture for one year. I truly do understand store policy. Really!! The furnture is not even 2 years old. The furnture is used in a guest room and has only been slept in once for one week. I would like to know if there is anything that can be done.
Thank you for your time in this matter.

I bought a good pair of sunglasses at eye dr. Panama Jack aviator glasses. I love them. Now the metal nose piece just broke right in half as I was putting them on after an eye surgery of all things!, I will try mailing them to that Memphis, Tennessee address. Maybe someone can fix that piece. I miss my glasses badly and cannot afford another pair. I think they were about $350. Thank you for any help in this matter,

I live near Atlantic City and cannot find Panama Jack flip flops anywhere ! I am a diabetic and need a flip flop that has a smooth service that touches the bottom of my feet. I do not want the wedge kind just the flat ones. We used to be able to get them at our Shop Rite Supermarket but I haven’t seen them in several years. I had friends try to find them down in Florida at Disney but couldn’t find them. I went on Amazon last year and bought some but they came in they were the wedge type and were made messed up. Amazon made good on them. There are many stores that you could supply down here with them because beach goers would love them. There is a store named Michael’s at Resorts Casino that would be great for you to supply and gift shop at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City too. It would be a big seller. They are comfortable for people to walk the Boardwalk with. Please help ! Seriously miss my flip flops. Nanette Houde
