Harry's Shave Club History

Harry’s Shave Club, more commonly known as just Harry’s, was founded in New York, New York in 2013 by current co-owners Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider. The company operates a subscription mail order service which delivers razors and other personal care items.

After being unhappy with inconsistent production, the company purchased a razor factory in Germany for an estimated $100 million in early 2014. In an interview in 2016, Katz-Mayfield stated that the company had 2 million subscribers. In 2017, the company began selling their “starter kits” out of Target stores.

The company offers subscriptions to the UK, Canada, and the USA. Although the manufacturing plant is based in Germany, company headquarters remain in New York City.

My February order for blades is way overdue. Emails to Harry’s Help have not satisfied me! I asked for a refund or a replacement shipment, to no avail. Part of the latest response on Friday – “We have worked with our carriers to put a solution in place, and your package should hopefully be with you by the end of next week or sooner. We’ve also been working hard to make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.” No reference to getting me a replacement shipment or refund, as I asked. You are going to lose customers with this type of a response.
