Having taken a trip into Fred’s on Summer Avenue I found the store extremely hot and muggy. I asked a worker if the air was on and she stated no. Mind you, it’s 97 degrees outside and for anyone to be expected to work under such conditions us totally unethical. There were no fans going or anything. I understand you’ll are closing but don’t you still owe your workers the respect of comfort. On my way out I stopped and spoke with another worker only to find that there had been no air for a week. I guess I can understand why you’ll are closing. If you don’t take care of home, home won’t be taken care of. You still had some faithful’s out there. Shame on Fred’s for making their workers work under such conditions

I go to Fred’s frequently for all of my household supplies. I was in the store just a few minutes ago. Their was one cashier and a tall girl standing by the debit card machine talking to the cashier. She didn’t look as though she was going to move any time soon. I do not like someone standing right next to me as I put in my debit information. I asked her to move and she gave me one of these rude looks and ignored me. I left the store without purchasing anything. This kind of attitude is ridiculous. I kept looking at the cashier to say something and she didn’t. Perhaps you need to instruct your employees on customer service.

i dont do this ,but it has come to a point someone needs to say something your store in ripley ms was a great store and i loved going there ,now dont get me wrong i had stop going for years because of the service and the peole was rude and not helpful, but i stop in one day with a friend of mine and to my surprize they had 2 women inther that was so sweet they greeyed us as soon as we walked in and was so helpful my friend doesnt hear good and signs, i told this women before we got done that she couldnt hear good, so when we checked out this girl had went on line and learned how to ask my friend question in sign ,what a surprize and made my friends day ,she was helpful, warm ,friendly and smile and ask us to come back, and we have stop going else where and shop at freds ,but to day i over heard a store meeting and everyone was sayinng she was rude and giving her a very hard time ,now i fear this girl will quit and she is a wonder and really gives your company a hands up all my friends and family just love her and brags on her they wait till she is at work call the ass manger is rude and stays on her phone the color lady lara is smart mouth and rude if you can find her ,but bobbie pittman is always helpful and sweet we hate to lose her and we want be back to freds any more if she isnt there we will go back to dollar general and wal mart ,you will lose about 100 of us if not more ,just want to let you no you really need people who cares for the company and they people you serve so please ckeck this out

I was just in Fred’s located in Reidsville,Ga using my coupons. I was told by the cashier that I found only use one coupon and preceded to tell her that it doesn’t say that on the coupon. She called the Manager and said that I couldn’t use it. I asked if he would put a sign up stating you can only use one coupon. He called someone but I was still told NO. What happened to Customer Service? They were both rude and cashier was cleaning her nose . She never sanitized her hands, how dirty is that ?

I have purchased 2 bags of Purina do food from the same Freds store in Clarksville, TN., on Hwy 149. Both bags had what I thought were maggots, husband said they were weevils. Returned the first bag, only gave a sale price refund. Hubby on the way to Freds now to return the bag bought today along with a unopened bag of cat food. Never again will I go in that store.

There is a manger that works at the Brinkley Arkansas Fred’s Dollar store that has been harassing me for years, on two occasions when I was in the store she called her husband to the store when I was just asking questions about prices. The prices wouldn’t be correct on the shelves when you get to the check-out counter, and I had noticed this man that I had learned standing behind me on two occasions and it was her husband, I spoke to him and he gave me a bad look like he wanted to jump on me. There were many other occasions that she would get smart with me and tell me to buy the item or leave the story, so I would put it down and leave. Today, January 16, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. I was an employee a question and being polite she “told me that she pays her employee’s too much to just talk so she would like for me to leave her alone. The manager of the Brinkley Arkansas Fred’s store has been very disrespectful to me over 4 years and I’m just fed up with the disrespect and asking for her to be terminated. The prices never are correct on the shelves and when checking out it’s totally different and the employee she told me one time pay what it says in the cash register. Mr. Jackie Couch, I have a Bachelor in Business Management for the University of Little Rock, Arkansas and we were taught the customer is always first.

Date of incident: 6/8/2018
As my wife and kids/nephew/mother in-law stopped by the Local Fred’s (4401 Bemiss Rd, Valdosta, GA 31605 Phone: (229) 245-9379), on her trip to Moody AFB for medical reasons. Today they were treated with disrespect by an employee of the store. The three kids, were on the toy isle looking at toys and examining them to see how they worked. They were laughing and talking. After my wife selected the items, she intended to buy, she proceeded to the toy isle where the kids were and my wife’s mother joined them also. Then my wife left and went to the next isle over leaving the kids and her mother on the toy isle. An employee approached, the kids and told them, if they were not buying something, they had to leave. When did Fred’s adopt such a policy? Then we put all items we intended to buy back on the shelves and requested to speak to a manager. We were able to speak to a manager and her response was “kids always come in the store and mess up the toy isle and parents leave kids unsupervised”. My wife’s response was our kids were never unattended and we were with them or knew where they were at all times. The manager apologized and stated that that was not Fred’s policy, but the employee never apologized or was told in our presence to apologize. There is no room in society for such disrespect. Do what you can to address this issue on behalf of other service members/families. Thank you.

I would like to know how the cashier can accuse me of stealing and put her hands in my purse right at the register in front of everyone and couldn’t find any thing because I don’t steal.but legally that’s not how your suppose to do it. But even the Manger was so hateful to me but I am trying to find me a attorney because no one is going to treat me in like a criminal and go through my purse it’s not right and be talk to by a Manger like I was yesterday in Freds in marksville la

I’m just curious how can you sell an item for more thsn the sticker price? I was going to purchase a 5 ft plastic pool..the tag on.the pool read $13.95. There was a sign on the sidewalk that said $16.99. They refused to sell the pool for $13.95… I’m not real sure how you can get away with that…I just left the pools and went to buy them somewhere else, that charged what the sticker said…they were wrong for that..I shop at Fred’s all the time..but I’m really considering not going back..that’s stealing from people actually..and I have 10 years retail experience..you are supposed to sell the items for what they’re marked

Okay I hit the submit button on accident on my last post. Anywho… Why wasn’t it a quick solution? I am the customer right? This is just 80 cents right? I’m buying the same items but at a higher cost because they were out of the one I needed right? And the guy at the register seemed to be new and kept asking the store manager for help and he would shrug and say ask the other manager. It was a horror movie. The guy in front of me had problems and the woman before him. Horrible store. I’ll just take my losses and go to Walmart. That’s why walmart is walmart and fred’s is fred’s smh. I also had mentioned to the CSR that I had been a fred’s SM before and at the end of the call she says so you said you were a Manger before? I said yes ma’am. She says owe and your telling me you never heard this policy? Im astonished at this point that that is even what she says. So again I ask her name. She pauses and says quita. . Hmmm ok. Very rude business and I’ll just move on from shopping because I’m sure the Dm will never get the message anyway. Horrible experience over 80 cents. I guess it was worth it for them.

I went to Fred’s in west monroe on N 7th st and bought some blinds last week. I put the receipt in the bag and threw the dang bag away. We they didn’t fit so when I went in to exchange for some more expensive blinds they tried to give me the sale price. Of course I want the full price..you know the one I paid for and the one that’s on the shelf. Well they were not having it so I called corporate. The lady on the phone was upset because she told me what they said and thought she was just gonna dismiss me. Well I asked to speak with someone else and she got upset and continued to repeat the same sentence. I explained thay I wasn’t upset with her or the store associates if they are just following the policy but now I want to talk to someone else higher as this is just the customer service line. She put me on hold with an attitude and came back and said no one else was available. She wouldn’t tell me her name or the Dm’s name. She said she would relay the message to them and all this is over 80cents. I had just witnessed the young man scan one item three times and change the price because he didn’t want to look for the item that would not ring up so why couldn’t he do the same for me or take 80 cent offy total… Whatever wr just fix the situation

Good news for Fred’s drugstore customers and patients in Evergreen, Al. An independent owned and operated drugstore, Pharm-a-care, will soon be open across the street from Fred’s. No more long waits and poor service as this store believes in the Golden Rule. I can’t wait for it to open. Too bad for CVS also…

OMG! I have never had an experience like the one I just had. I purchased 4 rolls of wrapping paper and they rung up.01. The nasty cashier said she couldn’t sell them to me. She asked the nasty store manager and she said no as well. I asked if they could take them down or charge me .25 or something. I told her that I would call Corporate. She asked if I needed the number in her funky tone. I said no. Then I asked if she charged to add money to my prepaid amex card and she responded, “I won’t know that til I ring it up.” Then she continued to say smart remarks, I told her that I would report that also. She asked again, you want the number?

I’m so tired of spending my hard earned money for low class service like this. I called corporate and they made a case

On March 2, 2018 I went into Fred’s to buy Verizon Minutes the store manager rung me up and he was swiping my verizon refill card so fast he never charged me for E-911 for my minutes. I paid for $50.00 to refill my card and when i tried to put my pin in to load my minutes it never was on my card. When I went back to let the manager know he got upset and said what am i suppose to do. He didn’t try to help me at all. yes i did get loud and angry with him and he called the police. so i called verizon they said to take the receipt back to the store and for them to refund my money on another card cause they never load it on there. the manager there in Durant , Ms. was very rude, and didn’t offer to help me at all. the police said if i had any more problems is to call them. please call your store in Durant, Mississippi i will be returning back to the store tomorrow to either get a refund or for them to reload me a card to get my phone back on. this was very on called for. this is not going to stop me from shopping in that store. Thank you i will be calling labor and relations on him too cause that was uncalled for.

Retraction on previous message. My hands were going faster than my mind. I was visiting my grandmother in columbiana. Al and went into the freds there and found it to be a very nice store, as well as the employees
Seeing the contrast of this nice store to my home store in Ga made me want to leave a commit which i did leave a hearsay commit. However as i said visiting in columbiana i accidentally typed in columbiana instead of ga. I tried to correct but was unable to
I even called the corporate office to have it corrected they tried but said it had to be done from my end, which i tried but there is no way that i know of to correct or delete the commit. I also tried my cell phone carrier for assistance but they were of no help. So i do apologize for the error but please keep in mind its not the columbiana,al store its my home store in Ga. This those teach me to not post anymore commits.

I feel dirty when i come out of the columbiana, al freds store. The manager and employees are very unfriendly and they look dirt one young girl looks like a witch with her shoe polish dyed hair and ungroomed, not to mention unfriendly and they stand around talking about customers they know behind their backs. This manager hires only friends and friends families without checking their work history. This manager it has been told tells employees they can stand behind the counter talking, eating and drinking, she doesnt mind. This same manager hired a friends daughter whom i was told by the most recent employee that had sex in the store bathroom with different guys
Ive been told that ones they know can use another bar code and ring beer up for beer. Also, they are ringing up items they want for ten cents by using other codes. We need a freds but it needs to be cleaned out with a complete new manager and employees. They are going to have to start wearing unform dressing, but this doesnt change what goes on in the store. This bunch is to comfortable and dont care, they think they are secure in their jobs. And this information was giving to me from an employee working there. This store down to employees and management is like playton place. This person told me the local police use to hang around at closing time, i dont know if they still do, havent ask. This place makes your skin craw

To whom it may concern: Hi, I visited the Fred’s in UNION, MISSISSIPPI on 2-6-2018,,,the employees were your typical classic hillbilly junkies,,,,it’s a very small redneck town where everyone knows ,,and gossips about everyone, ,,,anyway as I approached the counter, , no one greeted me or acknowledged me for mins,, I said I’m here to pick up my flu presciption,,, she (one with dark rings around eyes) asked me my name , I reply Arnold Butts,, , she replied give us a few mins mr. BUT,,,,I said no it’s BUTTS with an s…she turned and walked away,,, I sat down, few mins later I hear But,,, is ready,, then the yellow headed checkout girl says Mr. BUT, again I corrected her ,it’s BUTTS with an s, she never even looked up or said anything, it was over a year since I used this store last,, same thing , happened before,, my RX, # 6991965,,,,,,my print out even says BUT,, on the information sheet,,,, I will never use this store again, their manager is obviously stupid as the employees, ,, I’m sure nothing will be done this time either, , just says alot for your company name, I can live with mine. I live near the Fred’s on Chattanooga Rd, Tunnel Hill GA. And every time I go in there, and they have Mountain Dew on sale for a dollar, they don’t have Pepsi on sale with it, and I don’t understand why because Mountain Dew is a Pepsi product. So, next time Mountain Dew is on sale I would really appreciate it if the Pepsi is on sale as well, if not I don’t think I will be shopping their anymore.

I made a phone call into the Pearl, MS location to check the available of tuna, which was on sale. When I began to inquire about the tuna, the person answering the phone was very quick to say none available. I asked about a rain check and was told no rain check. If you are going to have a sale it would seem to me the product should be made available.

My wife and I went to the Fred’s store on North Seventh street in West Monroe, LA to pick up a few things. When we got the the first thing I saw was a lack of cars in the parking lot at only 6:30 pm on Dec. 15, 2017 and few people. My wife went in and the first problem she encountered was no shopping carts. Another lady came to the front with an arm load of items and asked where the carts was kept and the young man said there is none. One lady went to the parking lot her self and came back with a cart belonging to another store and finished her shopping. Finally my wife came out complaining about there being no shopping carts so I told her I’d contact you folks and tell you the situation but I doubted that you’d do anything after reading the notes from other customers about other stores in other area. Your stores are a main stay of the communities in the areas of Louisiana and my suggestion is visit the stores in question and if you find the bad conditions I have found put you #12 to use on those managers and get someone in there to take care of business. It’s a shame that good stores like yours going down the tube because of bad management.

My name is Lisa Roberson and I’m complaining on the store Fred’s Discount store in Camden Alabama The Manager Travis Jackson and Bobbie Walsh See is very rude and when I come there to shop they always be playing and not working and I seen Mr Jackson pick Mrs see up between her legs and Mr Jackson always picking on these 2 workers saying they don’t be working and when I come in there they always working.when I go the clothing aisle I can’t find what I need because the worker that use to be in the clothing aisle be on the register all the time and Mr Jackson and Mrs see always be around each other not doing any work at all these two workers that works really hard be getting fuss at I think they name is Veronica and Elecia.he be treating them bad but Mrs see and this other 4women’s in there he treats them real good and they don’t be working at all. When I get ready to leave the store I be seeing Mrs see and Mr Jackson always by one another on the outside talking all the time. I just feel like this is favoritism and discrimination what Mr Jackson and Mrs.see is doing. Please investigate on this store because this is wrong and I’m not going to shop over there anymore.

I have to say I agree with Mrs. Roberson Fred’s store in Camden Al is very unprofessional and very unappealing to shop in . The active manager is very immature and unprofessional .This store have had several employees guit since Travis left. Not because of Travis departure. These good workers quited because of bully , so much mess, hours being stolen when worked wasn’t even perform by that person,hour were being cut too the point of those workers deciding it wasn’t worth coming in to work. Travis was not a good manager to all of his employees because of his friendship with Bobbi See and her husband which I think he should not have been blame for all he was of accuse of doing. I can say the store looked very appealing to shop in at that time .Now the store is a mess and the manager there is all about making money for herself and her friends not for your store. To bring to your attention the employees she is treating unfairly are black workers who have been with your store for years .Bobbi See only worked day shift with all her white friends but her night shift always consists of blacks who then gets less hours. I am for equal rights those shifts should be rotated with all employees. I used to loved to shopped in Fred’s in Camden but never again. IF YOU ALL DONT STOPPED BOBBI SEE AND HER WRONG DOINGS FREDS IN CAMDEN WILL BE CLOSED SOON OR SUED.

I’ve gone a couple times to the Fred’s in Tyler Tx on gentry and through out those times I don’t have anything nice to say about this location due to customer service. One employee in specific, Pam, is extremely rude to customers and should not be working in a register at a place where kids are. She yelled at my children who were at the games section looking at the toys telling them they had to go to their parents but she failed to realize I was on the isle next to them getting the cart, I didn’t leave them alone for less than a minute. I’d have a better understanding if my kids were throwing the toys or making a mess but that was not the case, my 10-year old daughter even tried explaining to her that they were just looking. I didn’t say anything to Pam to not cause a scene in front of my kids or other customers because I know better and plus it would not have been pretty. Disrespecting other customers or their kids is unacceptable. It’s even more sad that her co-workers say she’s like that to everyone.

I purchased a Christmas tree from freds just two days ago, when I got it home the Christmas tree was two different trees in the box. Half of it was prelit the other half no lights whatsoever on it. After I realize this I had put the whole tree together. I had to take it down, which was not fun and put it in a box,and fight kids about waiting to decorate their tree. .When I took it back and I get to the store the first worker has no problem with me exchanging the tree. I go back to the back get the tree wait in the longest line ever to get to the front they call management and just because I don’t have my receipt with me which is across town I cannot exchange the tree. All I wanted was the identical tree that I had before. I’m told no I have to have a receipt for a even exchange which I know is not true because I have exchange things that cost more without a receipt before. So now I won’t have my tree to take back home to kids waiting and can’t get it til tomorrow and all because the manager doesn’t want to get up from her office. I should have never had to go through any of this for the price I paid for this tree. I spend more than $500 a week in that store for my business and Home and to be told that I did something wrong by not having a receipt on a tree they screwed up is ridiculous. So now I’m going to walmart to purchase a tree and will take this tree back with my receipt and the $309 dollars with of decorations I bought and get a full refund and will take my business elsewhere.

Fred’s in Batesville Ms is pricing item higher than the price suppose to be. I bought candy $1.00 for Holloween go back today it 1/2 price but price is 63 cent. 1/2 one dollars is 50 cent. That lady manager always say that not price she do not never try to fix problem. you are losing custom get because thing like that I own once own a business. you got item place in wrong place. That store need some managers who know what they are doing this been going on for last year. just go to store check out price on that 1/2 price candy and other item.

I have traded at Fred’s in Elizabethton, TN til it closed. The people here had wished it would have stayed opened. I then went to JC, TN and traded. I never had any real bad experience. I have also been to the one in Mountain City, TN and didn’t have any bad experience. I found some Jet Dry that was miss priced to a lower price and the manager let me have it for the lower price. I don’t know about any others because I haven’t been to any of them. Yes the Manager and the employee makes a difference. I have worked in different department stores at one time. Sales work was not designed to make a lot of money. It was designed for people who want extra income, students, etc. Not to work at to support yourself or family. When someone goes to work as a sales/cashier they should know this and should treat the customers with respect. I know some customers are not always nice. But everyone should remember that people do have a bad day sometimes. If a sales person/cashier is rude to me I will give her a chance but if it happens again then I will tell the management. It there is a problem in the main headquarters then you may need to clean house. I have read the comments and there is something wrong and it seems that it may be in the main headquarters. If things like 90% are saying is true you are going to loose all you business and will have to shut down all your stores. Do some checking on why these things are happening. I wish you would open up another Fred’s in this area as long as it is the same as before…nice management and employees.

These stores have really gone down hill. I can’t find anything i really want and prices have jumped. They have sale where regular price is 99 cent for one and the on sale price for 6 is $5.98? Fruit have been frozen and looks good on the outside but horrible on the inside.

Checkout cashiers are really really slow! I just about left my cart and drive to a different store. Instead I did $100 of groceries at self checkout. Man does that suck.

Since remodeling I have gone from spending $200 to $300 every couples of weeks to $100. And after this last experience it will be even less.

These guys are obviously just in business right now to sell off the stores.

Y’all had cokes on sale in October $0.75 a piece I went bouth 5 I went back two days late and they wouldn’t sell them to me for that price they said I had to have a digital coupon . I didn’t have one the first time. and .He no u didn’t. I said i bring the receipt back and show you that I did the first time . He said tgat was out of generosity we don’t have to do it the second time and I’m standing in line and they standing outside smoking I got to wait to they get done. get off the damn phone so I can get checked out.This all the time here. I shopped at Fred’s today in Lanett Al and as Usual I had the same problem they never honor the sales. I bought batteries there was sign the (sale) .70, I also planned to buy light bulbs (sale 1.95) I was told that neither was on sale the cashier was told to take down the sign. She let me have the batteries for sale price but couldn’t honor sign for both items she said it was a mistake from Corporate. I’m very dissatisfied with the way this was handled. 10-23-2017

Was in the store in Statesville NC yesterday and saw sweatpants on the clearance rack. The large size were cheaper then the smaller size. I asked the lady why was this when the children hey we’re the same brand. She said that it come to the store marked down. The tag had a little yellow label over the original price with the price and bar code handwritten but if you look closely the original price and the clearance price are the same. I looked on the men’s clearance and the same thing and you all have the nerve to say on a sign about your low clearance prices. Also a lot of the things are not priced in this store. I will not be doing business there.

It’s a shame that Fred’s has these digital coupons but the app won’t let you create an account and none of the management knows how to give any info on how to get the issue resolved… I will resort to shopping at Dollar General or Family Dollar from now on!!! I was among 4 customers who walked out of the Kingsland, Georgia store because of this issue. To me, that is false advertisement and very unprofessional.

I have been familiar with Fred’s stores since I was a little girl growing up back in Mississippi. I haven’t lived in Mississippi for years, but have always made a trip to Fred’s whenever I visit because there are things sold at Fred’s that I have not found anywhere else. I recently moved to Bridgeport , Texas, and I was estatic to find that there was a Fred’s in Bridgeport. I visit the store at least twice a week, and I have made several significant purchase there while trying to settle into my new home. However, today when I went to Fred’s the service was horrible. The two cashiers acted as though they didn’t see me as I waited at the register with my purchase. Then the one who rang me up was very unfriendly and acted as though she didn’t want to ring up my purchase. She didn’t say not one word through the whole transaction. She barely looked at me. I’ll give Fred’s another try, but should I continue to receive this kind of service, I’ll spend my money elsewhere… rare products or not.

Scott Daniels in the corporate office is an aweful man and needs to be replaced with a more understanding employee. Scott, hatred is an evil thing, you need to get over it.

I visited your store in Hawkins, Texas today. I had my 14 mth old granddaughter with me,she had pooped her diaper so i took her to the restroom to change her and was dissatisfied that there was no chaging station there and the floor was to dirty to put her on, so we found a empty shelf to change her diaper. People walking by was shocked to learn there was no changing station. We even took pictures to prove it. Please consider your costomers that would like to stay and shop.

I visited two Fred’s Dollar Stores in Brookhaven, Ms on today. I don’t like getting smart with people but if they get smart with me, of course I’m going to respond with a smarter remark. The cashier at the Fred’s across town tried to smart off with me about a false advertisement in the Fred’s weekly newspaper. I’m showing her the coupon and the newspaper and trying to explain to her that I’m not trying to argue with her. Since I was not allowed to use my coupons I left the whole buggy full of items at the cash register and left. I went to the Fred’s on the boulevard in Brookhaven,Ms. Big mistake. Same thing but even worse. Da young(girl) lady at the register was ok. She tried to scan the coupons but they wouldn’t scan. It was an old, hateful woman on the other register named Lisa. The young girl kept asking Lisa to come help her with the coupon but Lisa did not budge. Lisa consistently ignored the young girl’s cry for help. Also, Lisa tried to get an additude. I just said forget it and left the whole entire buggy full of items at the cash register there also. Both of the Fred’s Dollar Stores in Brookhaven, Ms. need to get them some workers that are people persons. These two Fred’s need workers that know how to work in a public setting and know how to talk to people. Also, their managers need to know how to resolve issues. With that being said, Freds in general need to make sure that they advertise the correct coupons for items and make sure P&G print the correct coupons in the Sunday paper. Fred’s has an advertisement for Gain washing powder $8.95 and $5.95 final cost after $3.00 P&G coupon for the 91 oz. The P&G coupon is for 92 oz Gain. I don’t know if Fred’s or P&G is at fault for this mistake but the two needs to get together and correct it because right now it looks like false advertisement because Freds is not accepting the coupon. Also, the Fred’s workers are really being buttholes about it.

I have been going to Fred’s drugstore in Tylertown Ms for quite some time I just called to fill my medicine at 9:30 am and was told that it wouldn’t be ready until 12:30 pm this isn’t the first time I’ve stayed in the store for 2 and a half hours waiting for my medicine,I call and no one answers the phone.I live 10 minutes from this drugstore and spend over $1000.00 a month here for them to treat me this way is unacceptable and I’m very tired of dealing with this drugstore please get on the horn and take care of this for your sake and the business I will not tolerate this disrespect.

I have been a Fred’s customer in Lavonia Georgia since it opened. I have had several less than desirable experiences. But won’t stand any longer being overcharged. Several times I was overcharged and let it go. But had my fill. You have idiots and rude employees. I know many in the area that feel the same way. The sad part is the employees blame everything on corporate.. Someone needs to get their act together before everyone gets fed up.

Pick up a prescription this morning for my wife, charged it. The perscription will not be used by my wife at all. Tried to take it back in opened and told they could not as Steven was not there. How can a drugstore have days it is full service and other days they are not. Johnathan the man of the day hung up on me and a Julie in phone conversation said this is my name and you are an a-hole. Great business you are running in Clarksville, Arkansas. In addition they close their drive up 10 to 15 minutes early every day. This means if you have a handicap you must go inside. This is not the kind of people to have behind your drugstore counter representing the FRED’S name.

The Fred’s 24 pack of water bottles are extremely hard to open. The cap is small and hard to twist off. The production bottel process need to look into this issue. I brused my hand and finger trying to twist the cap off of the bottle . I ended up at the location cIinic for wound care. I called the manager at the Decatur, Alabama store on Beltline road and told the store manager my issue. I also called the corporate offices legal department and left my story and information and guess what? …..no returned calls. Y’all have 15 day to respond.

In march, I was on my way out of the store, and the red check out counter stand fell on my toe. the manager filled out an accident report, but would not give me a copy of it. I went to the emergency room. Two of my toes were badly bruise with a possible hair line fracture. I have tried to contact the district manager and/or someone from corporate to no avail. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a store. They do not care about customer service. I hope someone sees this and respond to my complaint.

As you take a minute to quickly criticize, take a deep breath and realize these people only make minimum wage and are spread very thinly. It is not an employees fault if they are not trained properly. The fault lands strictly with management. Managers of these stores are required to get their jobs done with a skeleton crew of low paid staff! I have never seen such chaos!! I have worked many places in my life. I have worked in upper management and I have worked in a meat packing plant and many jobs in between, but NONE as physically and mentally demanding for minimum wage. It boggles my mind. So please the next time you want to scream at a Fred’s worker, think first!

It is no wonder this company is going out of business that’s what happens when you treat consumers wrong. I was in your store near Fort Benning on Saint Mary’s Road in Columbus Georgia. The store is going out of business, and your employees are literally stealing from consumers. On 3/13/17 a cashier named Vanessa was deliberately not giving consumers the closing discount 80% off. She stole from me, because she charged me regular price for two items and I have the receipt to prove it. Just because the store is going out of business does not give them the right to cheat and steal form consumers. I went back to the store on 3/14/17, and spoke with the manager, Shawanda and called the the number 180003747417 and was told that someone would contact me. Again Fred’s showed who they were, liars, because no one called. Even Shawanda your manager looked at the receipt and said Vanessa had cheated me. I can’t help but wonder how much money Vanessa has pocked running her scam. I will keep contacting the right people and writing letting consumers know what’s gong on until every store is goes out of business.

Fred’s in St Martinville, La is has the worst store manager ever. He has a nasty attitude and is so rude with every customer that comes his way unless he personally knows you. That cashier Sandra is the worst employee known to employers. All she does is stand behind the register all day even with no customer there. She always picking with the assistant managers on duty for nothing at all. She is the worst ever. Sandra Marshall and Joseph Huval is the worst ever. I will not be returning to any Fred’s for as long as I live. I had the worst experience ever with these two. They need to take their customer service from their assistant managers and other cashiers because they suck a**.

The Roebuck Store in Roebuck Sc is very nasty store. I complained to the manager and fell on deaf ears. I took pictures to show you shelves empty, floors nasty and wet. Just waiting for a lawsuit in the waiting. Because I refused to go out with him because where both gay. He heard me telling the drugstore how nasty the store was he rang Mr liquid gain up and the voided it and called the police like I stold it to keep me quiet. I don’t steal and now I can shop at that freds. He laugh about it, as I walked out head laughing said he got me. But I have enclosed the pictures on how nasty the stole is and how lazy the employee are leaving stock empty. After reading all the comments below I make this prediction, You all will be out of business soon. I too have been meet with rude personel uninterested in giving any sort of common sense customer service. I purchased a Craig DVD PLAYER for around $25. Being it was a Craig I didn’t give it a second thought. Well one week in it stopped working. I could not find my receipt but having experience in retail I knew they could look up my purchase from my Credit card number as I could and have done before. When I got there, the young guy that sold it to me days before recognize me. I smiled and said this quit working I lost my receipt but since you know I purchased it here all I want to do is exchange it for another one. The thing was still brand new, the Kinks weren’t even worked out of the cords yet. He said “I’ll have to ask my manager.” The manager said with or without my receipt, which he should have looked up and didn’t bother, I could not return it because it did not have the BOX, really who keeps a box and how long are we supposed to keep a box? He said it was store policy, which I have no problem with it would just help if the customers knew about it. No sign, no nobody at the register telling us, do you think we all have ESP? you’d think a receipt would be enough, just satisfying the customer when you obviously know it was purchased at your store. Then I was told to come back the next day and talk to another manager I was supposed to drive 30 miles because the people in the store aren’t smart enough smart enough to help a customer. So I called Corporate and they gave me the same Bull XXXXX about the box and that’s what it is Bull Sh*t. No company will refuse to make good on a product without the box. So FREDS STOLE AT LEAST $25 of my hard earned money. Then you should know when I start a campaign for something I don’t quit so Facebook the Better Business Bureau and everybody in Lake Charles in reaching areas and I also work in Houston Texas with lots of media connections and they will hear about Fred’s. That was the first and will be the last time I had ever gone in a Freds store. Judging from the rest of the comments you all will be closed Everywhere by the end of the year lousy service

Customers in Jackson, Al are very upset about the upcoming store closing. We are a small town and you knew that when you came. You can not compete with Walmart because we only have 2 grocery stores, one being Walmart. But this store is kept clean and is a great ability to serve older customers. We have only about 5200 people in the town and we need this Freds.

From reading the above complaints I would like to add to a complaint already submitted. The Rutherfordton NC. store is is filled with the most rude, unhelpful, almost belligerent, hateful employees. Not only are they rude to their customers they act as if they are doing you a favor by answering a simple question. The store is always out of the things that I go into their store to pick up. I have made many trips and I asked the cashier when she might be getting things back on the shelves and her reply was she didnt know in a tone that would have shocked the most understanding person. I actually witnessed the co manager not help a elderly women who needed help getting things out of cart, she just stood there acting as if she couldnt be bothered or was angry that she had to open another register I helped the lady get her thing onto the counter and then she wouldnt help her with the credit card machine she almost yelled at her and hurried her along. I am understand that the store cannot order or keep up with inventory so this is to the management that probably with go on deaf ears, but I really hope you get your act together with the inventory to your stores. As it stands now I will be glad to go somewhere else like so many others apparently. Cheap is cheap!

The store has no girls underwear. None! Why do the boys get underwear and not the girls? There are training pants for boys and girls in the diaper section. Makes no sense. We want panties for girls, toddlers and up. There are two genders.

I was briefed by your customer service staff in TN and at my local store the same line of communication. If they don’t sell you don’t put them on the shelf; they don’t expire! You don’t listen to your customers.

Crayola brand products do have washable products; yet your stores try to sell us the cheap stuff that is washable. Makes no sense!

On January 4th, 2017, I went to Fred in Durant, Ms., to rent a carpet cleaner (Bissell.) The advertising sign stated it was for $24.95, after clerk review the sign she stated it had expired on December 31st, 2016. I asked if I would be honor that price, she said probably not but would have to check with the Manager. Manager came and asked me would I be renting it tonight which I said yes, she then said that she would not be able to honor this price because they can not over ride Bissell. I’m really confused… I know being in management that we have the ability to override things, especially if its an error on the company part. Now I’m asking, Is it the consumer fault that you have people standing around not ensuring the proper signs are displayed , and they are not from 2016. This store is always unorganized . Just maybe a surprise visit should be made or secert shoppers… All because it’s a small town does mean that quality services can not be given. .

I went into Fred’s about a week before Christmas with my 11 year old. He bought his dad a 50 dollar gift card for bass pro. We went to Tennessee dec 26th to bass pro in sieverville. When we got up to pay for the presents from his son, the cashier said this won’t work without the other half of the card. We were blown away. The cashier acted like she thought we were trying to get one over on her. The supervisor was called and she didn’t give a crap about my sons 50 dollars for his dad’s Christmas present, she wouldn’t even look at us. So I called the rutherfordton nc Fred’s, and the associate, named candy, was actually yelling at me and said, there was nothing she could do. I asked to talk to the manager, she said no one was there. I spoke over her to explain, however was unable she didn’t help and basically acted like it was just too bad. I will never shop at the store again. My eleven year old cried, his dad put back the camp pants picked for the gift card, I think bass pro needs a good lesson in people skills too. Merry Christmas to all of the associates that took my sons saved Christmas cash. What is this world coming to?

The Fred’s store here in Dillard Ga is the gateway into the Smokey mountains of NC. It’s a tiny town but huge potential. !!! The store is filthy, the managers clueless,and rude. And this is what our tourists see? We depend on the tourists up here every year, so why not make it profitable for all cocerned? The store is never stocked and can’t get anything every time I go. Freds in tylertown ms has the worst pharmasy in the worlds history. They over charge on the meds. One time you go in and your meds are 20.00 next month its 40.00 for the same meds then it goes back to 20.00 i have proof saved my reciepts. They have an attitude from hell and slow as a sloth. They dont keep up with the fax machine you have to wait three hours to get them to fill a perscription that was faxed three hours prior because they are all standing around playing and talking about lunch and what their kids did last night. Thats fine and good but check the fax machine and do your job with out attitude i am sick and not feeling good when i am there getting my meds i am trying to be nice but when they give me attitude and make it worse i will never shop freds again because the drugstore

I purchased 2 apple itunes gift cards valued at $300.00 apiece on 09/03/2016…. Unknowingly to me as soon as the cards became activated there was someone scamming me in Oregon somewhere just waiting on the cards to activate. I live in Jackson Ms. Before ive scratched the back of the card for the pin # the pin # on both cards had been used already. Due to speaking with itunes customer support team i was informed that this scam has been going on for quite some time now and that i should return to the retail store i purchased my gift cards from. Total of $600.00 i was scammed out of. Now what do i do. I have all my receipts.

First, let me say how much I like shopping at Fred’s. However, I am somewhat disappointed, that the store in Opelika Alabama was closed several months ago. I have tried several times to locate the new store that is suppose to be in “Tiger Town,” without success! Will there be a new Freds in that area or not????? I was told it would be a new freds there. Does the Aberdeen, MS store have a new manager? If not, perhaps they need one. In the store today and could barely walk down the aisles. Heavy shelving was leaning against some of the permanent shelves which appeared to be hazardous. Couldn’t see the mdse. behind the shelving. Whole store in disarray. Shopped at Fred’s for a cordless phone for my mother..they had one in stock. On the box a manager had written “not used or bought, opened to see if had a 2nd port”.the box was taped and was not packaged as it originally came because manager stated she could not get everything back in like it came. I asked for a discount and she said no. I called customer hotline and asked if it was Fred’s policy to write on merchandise and not to properly box a open item like it came without marking down item. The customer service lady said it is the managers discretion. I asked her again was that Fred’s policy. She refused to answer, I asked would she have purchased it without a discount and she said she would have not . I asked to speak to supervisor and was told there was none. I called corporate and explained to operator hoping she would direct me to higher up to bring resolution, she consistently stated she would transfer me back to customer service. It would seem that Fred’s do not care about the customer as both calls the individuals tried to talk over me and were rude. Fred’s … You have lost a customer for the rest of my days.. And certainly I will discourage all that I can of shopping in a place where customer satisfaction means absolutely nothing…..

Freds is a bad company to work for. They owe me back pay from the day I started . I have been told for a month next check someone needs to contact me about it without the bs . Im done with that. Ive already reported it too bbb. Next is my lawyer and 13 wmaz.

I do not know about any other Fred’s stores, but the one on 94 Upper Riverdale Road, S.W. 30274. in Georgia has the most outstanding Managers and workers I have ever run across in all of my 69 years on this horrid planet.
I was one of the first to be at their doors when they first opened up because I wanted another business to complain about.
From the first day until this day, April 15, 2016 they have proven me wrong about never having any decent business in existence.
After a year I still go to them for everything I need and hate going anyplace else.
I talk to everyone about them and everyone agrees with me.

Fred’s at 94 Upper Riverdale RD Riverdale Ga, have some of the most unprofessional managers I have ever seen. There’s this one name Karen who attitude stnksm real bad she’s always rude to the customers. There’s Addie and Lavern who let’s customers by cigeriates without showing a ID.There is not enough help in the store. They need a security officer there at all times.

I would like to see if you are in need of a District or Regional Manager. I have about 20 + years in retail management. I’m presently retired, but interested in returning back to work.

I have enjoyed shopping at Fred’s for several years and my experience in going to Fred’s is that y’all are Definately in need of some Manager training. I get so agitated that every time I go to the Fred’s store in Piedmont SC. Over half their products have no prices on them. When I ask they say brig it to the counter and I’ll scan it! No help from employees, no personal contact. I believe your sales would increase if more effort was put into displaying and pricing and customer relations…

If there are any available positions let me know. I’m interested if the benifits are worth me coming off retirement…

ATTN HR DEPARTMENT – HIRING VIOLATION

On Saturday January 30, 2016 my wife went for an interview at the Fairmont, NC location for a position as a drugstore Technician. She was interviewed by Pharmacist Ben Brady. My wife has 15 plus years experience as a drugstore Tech, Impeccable work record, and never misses work. She was driving 1 1/2 hours to Raleigh NC where she is a Full Time drugstore Technician. She found this opportunity 30 minutes away and based off her resume was given a interview with Ben Brady.

During the interview, oh and your HR Department will love this Ben Brady asks..
“HOW OLD ARE YOU DEBORAH, 59, I AM NOT ASKING BECAUSE I THINK YOU ARE OLD..I NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN STAND ALL DAY” As soon as my wife told me that after the interview I told her…you are not getting the job and he wont call you…So she called him and was told today…he thought the drive was to far…She has been driving 1 1/2 hours 1 way for a year at Kroger….That was obviously B.S.

So someone needs to call me at 919-623-XXXXX or email me back…If we dont here from someone in 48 hours we will contact the Labor Relations Board in NC…

Now go back to April..May 2015 she applied at your Lumberton Store….told after interviewing TO FAR TO DRIVE 15 minutes awsy…It is obvious your Pharmacists especially Ben Brady should know and HR surely should he discriminated against by wife who works 40 hours a week on her feet all day and drives 1/1/2 hours a day….

Im starting here and will involve as I said Labor Board in 48 hrs.

I reported karen shepherd while back. Since then she has sent word to me That i can’t come back in fredd in haynesville. Now i will tell you she buys food stamps from people she knows. She does this at freds.
