MY SON’S GAS WAS TURNED OFF 3 DAYS AGO. HE PAID THE BILL. HE WORKS IN A FACTORY AND HE CAN’T HAVE HIS PHONE ON HIM. HE GAVE THEM MY NUMBER TO CALL. I NEVER GOT A CALL. WHEN HE CHECKED HIS PHONE ON HIS BREAK HE SAW A “BLOCKED MISSED NUMBER). WHEN HE CALLED THEM THEY TOLD HIM THAT THEY COULDN’T TURN HIS GAS ON BEFORE THE 2ND. OF JANUARY. WE LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN AND THE TEMP WAS 7 ° LAST NIGHT. I FEEL LIKE ATMOS ENERGY IS PUNISHING HIM FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO ANSWER HIS PHONE. PHONE CALLS ARE RECORDED, AND IF YALL WOULD LISTEN TO HIS CALL YOU WILL HEAR HIM GIVNG MY NUMBER LIKE HE HAS ALWAYS DONE IN THE PAST. THEY ARE STAYING IN THAT COLD HOUSE WITH THE ELECTRIC OVEN BLOWING FUSES TRYING TO KEEP WARM. I LOVE MY CHILD JUST AS MUCH AS YALL LOVE YOURS. I HONESTLY DO NOT SEE WHY ONE GAS MAN CAN’T TAKE OUT 1O MINUTES TO TURN HIS GAS BACK ON. THAT IS COLD, NO PUN INTENDED. I AM APPALLED THAT ATMOS IS ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS. I WILL BE CONTACTING AN ATTORNEY TOMORROW! YALL HAVE A “VERY WARM NEW YEAR” BECAUSE MY SON AND HIS 6 YEAR OLD DEFINITELY WON’T BE HAVING ONE!!

Not very happy with customer service. I have had service with this company for over a years time and have paid my bills. I may be a bit late at times but keep pretty current with my bill. Explain to me how can I be told that my service will not be connected until the following business day and then be told it will be tuesday due to the holiday of good Friday. How am I expected to go with out gas service over a weekends times. Do your employees not enjoy a hot shower or use of gas appliances to heat their home or cook their meals. It is raining in my part of texas and come sun down it will be in the 40’s how is that acceptable to this company. I bill is paid yet I have to wait to have it reconnected. This is not acceptable.

I need Atmos to analyze my bill and give me the right bill according to my usage. My previous bill from March to Nov 2016 were around $28 per month average.

For December my bill came to $305.21, January 2017 $610.63 and now Feb $438.51.
I still live by myself, I have not changed or add anything that consume gas. I know during winter season, bills always goes up according to the usage.

At my house, only two items using gas, a range, water heater and heater can use either gas or electricity.

I called Atmos about hike of my bill and they sent someone to come to investigate for gas leakage. First time when the technician came, He check the leakage and changed the meter. A second technician came at night same day to switch on the gas and check for carbon monoxide. He found nothing, he checked if there was any leakage on my water tank but nothing.

I called Atmos for a second time and talked to a customer service and explained what happened and they send another technician for another investigation. This time when he came, I was home and we walk through the bill and he checked my previous usage but he couldn’t know what cause the hike. And he said as previous technician explained to me, there is nothing they can do. I was really disappointed and I thank him and go inside my house. After few mins, he came back nocking and ask if my heater was on, and I said yes. He said he has been monitoring the usage on my meter for few mins and there was no usage. I let him in, checked the thermostat which was on Heater and went to the attic. When he was there he realized the heater was on Electricity, which make same because my bill for December 2016, January and February 2017 went up to $194, $200 and $186.

My question to Atmos is, only range and water Heater usage can hike my bill to that much for only 1 person usage? There should be something behind it, what it is I have no clue. I had to get another private technician to come and investigate if there is any leakage that can have impact on my gas, and he found nothing. I have no money to pay $1354.35 for three month for something I’ve not consumed.

I went far to ask the customer customer service how much was the bill for the previous bill around winter time and she said was $200. And that was previous family who was living in a house.

I tried to pay for March bill, but i couldn’t, it didn’t let me until I pay the whole amount. I reported the issue to Better Business Bureau on February 24, 2017 and has been assigned case# 91403709. they tried to contact Atmos but there was no respond

I have a few major issues with the customer service provided from Atmos energy with a residential account. I would appreciate a call back as soon as possible. 254-251-XXXX. Today I Called in to the customer service center because I have not received a bill since opening this account back in the middle of October. I should have pro-actively called and asked about what was going on with the statement; but the honest answer here is that it slipped my mind. This is the first time having Gas. When I called in I was informed that my gas was shut off on Wednesday due to non-payment; which is understandable IF I was sent an invoice, received a phone call, or even an email which all 3 are on file… Reluctantly I paid $242.36 which included a $65 reconnect fee (which the service would not have been shut off, if I had received an invoice to pay) The only thing I was told was to check with the post office, and that Monday someone will be out to turn it back on. My issue with this is the fact that whomever came out and turned off the gas did not knock on the door, leave a message, note, sticker or anything to indicate that it was now going to be turned off.. Wednesday I was actually off work and at home.. soo if this Technician would have at least let it be known that He was there… then the bill would have been paid that day. Instead I had to call in and ask for my bill (once again I fully admit that I should have checked a lot sooner on this issue but I did not) to find out that my Gas is off. The tone in the supervisor’s voice I dealt with Let it be known that she was clearly bothered with me. I will admit that I am frustrated however I was not disrespectful. My biggest issue here is that I had to call in and find out that my service was shut off. I am absolutely confused on how I am being treated as a dishonest person. I also set up an auto pay with the same supervisor who was Clearly bothered by me; which after calling back in and speaking with a more pleasant Representative was informed that I did not have Auto-pay set up; Meaning that I wasted about 28 minutes on the call. Please give me a call 254-251-XXXX

Federal Trade Commission & Atmos Energy.

MAL PRACTICE BY ATMOS ENERGY. ACCOUNT # 3032540463.

Dear Sir,
We are HIGHLY Disappointed to Report the Mal Practice of Atmos Energy by ESTIMATING the Energy Consumption and then Slap you with a LARGE Amount to cover their Incompetence of not charging the Actual Amounts due for the month.

Their Non Professional Attitude is putting a lot of Consumers between Hard Place and Rock. Apparently, Capitalizing the Gas Business they think they can BULLY Small Businesses with their own created Rules and not thinking in this SOFT Economy what kind of Disastrous Consequences can happen to the Tax Payers of this Country.

Prayers are made to Kindly Approach the Concerned Department in Atmos Energy to act in a Civilized Professional Manner and STOP this Manic Practice, by start charging every month EXACT amount of units consumed.

Thank you.
Benny Hemani. (GM)
